3141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reward offered for exposing scamming cloners ! on: June 22, 2014, 07:34:29 AM
jeez we REALLY got get something done here guys.. over time this shit hole scene just gets worse and worse..
wanna see what i mean ? look at Cryptsy chat any time..
or
any other place..

clone
pump
dump
rinse
repeat

and having to listen to the idiot garbage bullshit hyping from these morons makes me sick.

the cost is people get burned and lose money because they get suckered into the hype.
when in reality most people know the game well.. get out before the ponzi scheme collapses..
the other cost is it undermines ever fair and honest and legit service in ALL of crypto including Bitcoin itself.
and this will catch up with us.. i have said it all along for ages now.. you all just wait and see.
looming regulation and other fun stuff IS incoming i guarantee it.

You can't have a Free (for all) Market ..forever

You all got to *start standing up for crypto.. enough of this hiding in the corner crap turning a blind eye to ANYTHING and everything.

Sadly greedy little pricks making excuses for bad behavior are too stupid to realize that if this scene had a good reputation
or at the very least the reputation it had 1 year ago.. it would attract far more people and international investment money from the globe
creating faaaaaaaaaaaaar larger profits doing this with some integrity than trying to squeeze crypto for every last
satoshi in increasing more scammy ways..

what could have been.. and i think we're almost at a tipping point where it's too late.. we have built a reputation now.
sad and retarded and sleezy and scammy bullshit.. fuck it all for a dollar today or make 10 cents a day for life with integrity.
you all already made your choice.. and it was dumb and i told you all that non stop for one year as you fucked this scene bad worse and worse daily.
congrats.. your soooooooo brilliant smart guys

lol idiots  Roll Eyes

i say fuck em lets start taking these sleezy pieces of shit out !

Sorry to say but it's the hard knocks of Crypto, in a fully unregulated environment the people must police themselves and hold each other accountable. This is to say that Operation Shitcoin is a step in the right direction as a way to help people indentify and protect themselves against scams.

I think if you want to take it to the next level, you could turn the thread into an open source guide on security along with resources on ratings of coins/shitcoins, securing different types of wallets, escrow services, alerts etc. You could create an open source ecosystem out if it, maybe even turn it into a crypto security and investment business and get paid to help stamp out crap.

Education works far better than acts of vandalism and the general talk of the thread is compromising and disrupting computer systems which are flawed tactics because scam coin cloners would just keep coming, it's also illegal in alot of jurisdictions and you would lose reputation as some people might be afraid of being compromised because of false judgement.

This just needs a small group or individual to provide direction in a positive way but the problem is that a lot of people don't want to take that step because it's a lot of work and the ones that do want it spend all their time talking about how great they are.
3142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution- Updated on: June 20, 2014, 07:56:01 PM
I will stay away from that one had not heard of it thanks.
Ripple itself is bad enough lol

i think i recall what happened to mudda and it was a bit unfair i think..
if i recall correctly i think he was paid to make a coin then the guy who wanted the coin made changed drastically HOW he wanted it made later
like saying near it was done oh now i want it a diff algo..
and then from that i got was that mudda had premined it a bit for him and the guy objected to that and didn't ask for a premine in the beginning.
when the dust settled the guy demanded a refund and mudda tried to work it out with the guy saying i think he'd give back *some of the payment
but the guy screamed scam and said he wanted it all back and mudda said i deserve some payment i did the work and my time is gone.. wasted.

then the forum drama and the guy posting mudda's responses to pm's here..
i think all this is posted in the reputation sub forum.

i see both sides but i gotta side with mudda on that, he was paid to make a coin and he made it.
the guy changed his mind afterwards and said i want a refund now.. so i don't think mudda deserved the bad rep.

I got mixed up in the drama a bit too and that's pretty much the same as what I took from the situation as well. Mudda tends to get negative trust ratings because some people are sensitive and get offended when called a shit cunt. I've talked to Mudda a fair bit and I haven't had any problems, he's just rough around the edges like an anti-hero. Mudda without his negative trust rating is like Crypto without Bitcoin, it's just not the same.

I am looking for a bit of assistance in some coding work, specifically I am looking for someone that knows how to compile windows wallets from source and will pay in BTC for someone to show me how to successfully compile one. Send me a message, I'll throw down $100 for the info but we have to discuss and agree upon it first.

Someone dumped 1,000,000,000 coins today Sad

I would like to know what made them dump there coins just as a patch is about to be released that would make them a good amount in stake

how do all the scam coins do so well ?

They are created and endorsed by Cryptsy lol

made account to get help with this, cant sync wallet. tried checkwallet and repairwallet. Decent amount of coins in this old wallet

Hi Smiley

Please try this..

- backup the old wallet and delete the contents of the COL folder.. save the .conf.
- clear/ delete every windows firewall COL entry, reboot, then manually add it before its time to download the blockchain
- wait for the blockchain to sync up before swapping the wallets

gl !

Impressive, your getting to be quite the expert on Crypto these days.
3146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] THE OFFICIAL COLOSSUSCOIN REPAIR THREAD (UPDATED APRIL 18TH) on: May 29, 2014, 03:56:17 AM
I have updated the original post to include the most recent version of the Blockchain as of May 27th, thanks to Sudo23

Also I have been working on some coding and testing lately, the Colossuscoin Blockchain needs some improvements, my skills are still in the beginning stages but have been making good progress.

Are the Rumors true about J P Morgan taking over Colossuscoin and Renaming it to JPMCoin and changing it to a POS Coin with a 0.3% compound interest.

No lol, where are these rumours?
3148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Androids Tokens v2.0 [Proof of Stake] [very low inflation] on: May 14, 2014, 11:51:33 PM
he's talking about the unofficial wallet. dont play dumb

if it wasn't clear I was letting him know that there is no new official wallet encase it was downloaded without him knowing it wasn't official

Considering it wasnt in the OP and it wasnt you or ADT that posted it. im sure it was pretty obvious.

some people blindly download anything and don't loo at who made it

Why not use Testnet to test the patches? you could base the patch off of Mullick's, see if Tx42 can do anything to help improve it and test a final copy? Maybe Mullick's patch alone would be better. Don't fret Zack, the more people trolling your thread the better, it means that people are interested in what you have to say. There's some quality coders floating around here, that's for sure.
3149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Androids Tokens v2.0 [Proof of Stake] [very low inflation] on: May 12, 2014, 05:03:28 AM
Mr SaveADT should use his real account instead of creating a new one.

You don't understand crypto or the politics of it, Zack has every right to hold his coins because he bought them and is working for the betterment of the coin. You shouldn't be hating on Zack, he's doing something when no one else is. Developers want to focus on their own Coin and not take over other coins because when things go wrong,  noobs will team up against the developers then complain when no developer wants to help a coin with problems. I suggest if you want to "Save ADT" that you learn about the Blockchain and come up with a positive solution.

Happy happy bizday ! Was a cool crypto story see that you may know that yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKliLPuGgyQ&feature=youtu.be

Does Colossus was the 1st POS to stop POW ?

wow never knew of this video. hilarious!
funny he has heizenberg shirt and im in promo team of METH using that meme Wink
i *think* COL was first, but i wont bet my finger or head on it. ill verify this tho as its a good question

So how much in terms of $ have you profited off BTC and how much BTC do you currently hold?

didnt check my wallet since this post - who knows how much i got donated here ? Smiley sometimes users are very generous up here!

I think Col was the first, then NXT and a few others. Been hard at work on top secret stuff lately
3151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Androids Tokens v2.0 [Proof of Stake] [very low inflation] on: May 10, 2014, 08:48:38 AM
Mr SaveADT should use his real account and doesn't really know much about the politics. It is open source so really anyone could build for it. Why 10% every 15 days?

POS could work a bit like a derrent to keeping it on an exchange if it were high enough for example if it were 100% a year, after a year of holding it on the exchange it would be worth half as much.  POS blocks could be updated for better block finding (possibly minimum stake age compounding). You should look into Ultracions code for how they said you could only mine if you were holding a balance.

You could even check into Nxt for their mining of fees, I'm sure you could route the TX fees back into POS and have staking claim fees along with staked interest. Myriadcoin is a good example of using multi algorithms in one coin. I particularly like features of the x11 coins but I'm still far more partial to Proof of stake but I think Pow could be secured at low hashrates or low yields if done right.

I think it's not so much what the percentage of inflation as how everything will interact with each other that matters.
3152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Androids Tokens v2.0 [Proof of Stake] [very low inflation] on: May 05, 2014, 08:26:07 PM
Well I made alot of suggestions on many occasions but for the most part was met with a large amount of resistance or outright rejection. You want help but then delete yourself from the Col forums because I made suggestions and you got your back up over it and storm off in a huff. I am certainly far less inclined to ever help unless you made a big change in the way you take ideas on board but I can't see that happening.

If you want more help from people you should listen to what they have to say, take all the ideas in and how they each one potentially work, the cause and effects of it, then tweak it bit by bit and lodge each proposal into an editable piece to work on. You can do this for multiple proposals and then take all the best pieces and merge them all into an even better proposal, when everyone is happy with it then you implement it.

3153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Operation Shitcoin Cleanout and Clean Up Has Begun- Join the Revolution on: May 03, 2014, 07:58:45 PM

Alright, since it is by popular demand I will join this "crew" and give Operation Shitcoin some power.

The first order of business will be Securecoin and Argentum.

The rules have changed, there is no 8 month safety zone, you are all targets except for LTC, AUR, DGC, GLD and the inbred coins NAN and GME.

Yeah BCX do it, it's like having the nuke button in front of you just waiting to be pushed. Let's see what happens, you know you want to....   Cool

More in the interests of dancing on their graves than putting them there, is anyone keeping a list of all the altcoins that have passed into memory, delisted from their last exchanges after their per-coin price dropped south of 1 Satoshi?

I mean, I know a lot of coins are considered "dead", but for most of them, there is still a blockchain out there (or even more than one!) that you can catch up to if you load up a client and find a peer.  I'm talking about coins that are _DEAD_, meaing Coins whose blockchains are now available only from archives, and where nobody can even find a peer if they set up a wallet.

Those coins should remain dead and their chains should also remain inactive. We have too many useless coins as well.
Wastes of bandwidth

Yeah I think a few are starcoin, graincoin, gascoin, friendcoin, vegancoin, terracoin, bbqcoin, there are really alot of coins that never really made it mainly because so many of them were just POW forks of Bitcoin.

Maxcoin was a pretty epic fail but then again did anyone ever think flappycoin was going to be a success? It's currently got 50 btc of sell orders at 1 Satoshi. I played the flappybird game and got bored of it after 2-3 tries.

Is Vegancoin online ?

I deleted everything soon after I informed mudda about my change of plans.

So.. hows the shitcoin pushin business ?  Grin

Haha, just wanted to see if you were paying attention my troll bro. Still a lot of work to do, wish I had alot more time I could devote to getting everything sorted.

Zack I think it's more that you don't really understand what we want to do with Col rather than what you agree or disagree with. I would have rathered not see you go but that's up to you, good luck with ADT.
3156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My 30th birthday - Me & Bitcoin since 2010 on: May 02, 2014, 02:00:41 AM
I met kingscrown several months ago and he has been a part of the Col project I have been helping as well. Cryptocurrency is all a learning experience and the best are those who go out of their way to help everyone. If you want someone who's a true blue Crypto soul, Kingscrown is your man, he's a really nice guy who is very bright. I first used Bitcoin when it was worth $1 each to buy lsd off silk road and didn't really know what bitcoin was. There are no real crypto whales except maybe a few that are just very good traders. I didn't really get into Crypto until November of last year and so by then it was already worth as much as today. I've seen and learned enough to know that there are a bunch of lucky people who stumbled upon it and a bunch of good traders. I am no whale but I believe moving forward will not be about bitcoin, it will be creating your own unique coin backed by a community of friends that yield the biggest rewards. So here's to helping each other and wishing the best for everyone, happy birthday my Crypto bro!

Happy Birthday!

It just bugs me when I propose different stuff we can do to work together to help each other and then you just go "that won't work" or "if you learn how to clone and modify code you'll just be tempted to release tons of clones". I'm not saying it to attack you personally and if it seemed that way I'm sorry because I like working along side you Zack, just a pet peeve to always suggest different ideas and alternatives and how it may work and just get a brush off without really discussing how it could be made possible.
3158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Androids Tokens v2.0 [Proof of Stake] [very low inflation] on: May 01, 2014, 10:25:31 PM
You can't expect people to listen to you when you say you should keep your coins off exchanges because majority of people don't check Bitcointalk or forums and just buy whatever is going up and keep them on the exchange because it's secure enough and they don't have to take the time to find the wallet, download it, and hope it doesn't get stolen by a virus. If you want people to keep their coins off the exchange it has to be more profitable, more secure and less of a hassle than just leaving it there.

If you want to be the face of the ADT, you need to learn code and dedicate your time to this rather than spending time building e-bikes and digging trenches. I came across the issue your currently dealing with just prior to the Cryptsy swap since Btcltc was swapped a couple weeks prior and you told me "I'll look into it" and suddenly a month later your freaking out because all these forks are happening as a result.

My opinion is that you should take all criticism into account and get into the habit of stopping yourself every time you are about to say "it won't work" because it's all a matter of how it can work and what effect it will have.

Think outside the box, there is much that can be done . You know if you do something truly innovative people are just gonna clone it. If you would like I could set up the Android tokens forums in a nicely structured way, I'd do it for $100.

This is the forum layout I used for the Colossuscoin forums http://107.170.4.50/index.php

Permissions set in a way in which guests can only post in the guest section with it being semi-restrictive

You could see the different permission levels by logging into the different member types and could adapt the layout for ADT

The member types are

Noob
Member
Development
globalmod

Password for all is password

Namecoin and others use merge mining, there is also Proof of transaction, Devcoin uses mining to feed into a share release program for development. There is also auto checkpointing and auto update messaging, dark wave and Darksend. If you want to get further in, a % of fees can be re-routed into a managed fund for development, use of multi-signiture for security, passwords to send transactions, rolling blockchain to prune and keep at a consistently small size. You could use exchange apis to hook into the wallet for a decentralized exchange. You could even use destruction of coins within fees to feed back into Proof of stake to retarget for a fixed percent per year.

I know how to setup the forums I just haven't had the time to do it but it is on my list Smiley

That's why I said I'll do it for $100, I could use the extra cash and you wouldn't have to worry about spelling errors lol
