3141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who will win the crypto KING of 2018? on: January 11, 2018, 11:53:50 PM
It will still be bitcoin as king of cryptocurrency, eth is still years away from stealing the crown.

Though we cannot remove the fact that ETH can be a threat to overcome bitcoin. But since bitcoin is still the store of value of all crypto, it will be hard to beat bitcoin.
3142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a bubble or just new money?? on: January 11, 2018, 06:29:02 PM
Past results does not guarantee that it will happen in the future. It may have pumped and dumped after 3 months last year but it does not mean that the same will happen this year.

Read the charts, follow the news. That is the only way you can predict what will happen in crypto.
3143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market Is Having a Crash But Stay Calm on: January 11, 2018, 04:07:32 PM
What others see as crash, I see as opportunity.

It is not everyday that your favorite altcoin will go on sale because of FUD, it is perfect opportunity to get more bitcoin, ETH, LTC, NEM. Only newbies will panic on FUD and dumps. As long as you know the true value of your coin, you will not panic on every FUD news out there.
3144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will blockchain kill traditional banking? on: January 11, 2018, 05:55:41 AM
Not happening in the near future. We are still fiat dependent even now that cryptocurrency are blooming. There are very few places you can spend your bitcoin directly without going through 3rd party or fiat. And traditional banks handles fiat.

Maybe in the far future if we can spend bitcoins and other crypto currency directly, then we can render banks useless.
3145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherium crazy growth!!! on: January 10, 2018, 01:02:12 PM
Have you ever been worried about the crazy growth in the Etherium transaction price?

Bitcoin have way higher transaction fee than Etherium right now, and they are not even panicking about it. Ethereum will be fine as long as it does not go higher that we have right now. And I think they are developing solutions to prevent this.
3146  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's wrong with ETHERDELTA AGAIN? on: January 09, 2018, 07:32:12 PM
Never had that problem before, as long as you put the right gas price. But lately since ETH blockchain clogged, it is harder to do transactions in etherdelta as well. My friend cannot transfer his EQUAL token even when he placed 40 gwei gas price.

The problem is there is no other exchange that lists so many ERC-20 tokens.
Yeah, it is the go to exchange for newly released ERC-20 tokens. It is just sad that the new CEO is burning the platform to the ground.
3147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to identify ICO scams on: January 09, 2018, 04:56:55 PM
Seriously, it is becoming harder and harder to identify real projects/ICO from scam ICOs. Scammers are getting smarter and they can easily mimic a real project and keep you in until the very last moment they turn into a scam. You can follow the guidelines given by those above but the real trick is to be real active and watch carefully the devs and admins of the project.

3149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quick ICO question on: January 07, 2018, 04:54:24 PM
Hi guys

Something which hopefully is a simple question but I would really appreciate understanding...

If you invest in an ICO, could you ever lose more than you invest?

I understand that, say for example you invested $1,000, that could eventually be worth £0 but could you ever end up owing money? - say the coin crashed and the company running it had debts for example.

Might be a silly question (sorry if so) but I'd like to know.

Thank you.

ICO is a very risky venture and you can lose everything that you invested. That is why you have to choose the right project and do necessary research before investing in an ICO. You can only lose the money that you put in it but if you add the depression you get from losing money, yeah, you could lose more.

3151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Laptop Stolen with Bitcoin Wallet on: January 06, 2018, 01:51:48 PM
The thief would probably reformat your laptop before he can use it, so it is probably safe. But just to be sure, sweep your wallet into a light wallet so you do not have to sync it. Then transfer it to a new wallet. Also put high fees so it will confirm fast or else you may also risk the thief double spending your transaction. Good luck!

3155  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to trading, Need some advice . on: December 30, 2017, 03:43:32 PM
I'm A little bit confuse of where should I start . Do I need to invest and buy altcoins and BTC. Do I need to participate on ICO, Campaign for bounty.
Please enlighten me guys . Thanks Cheesy

First you need to go to the Trading Section of this forum and read up there. You need to smarten up first before you even think of trading. Read, read, read.

But if you are willing to lose a lot of money, go buy bitcoin, trade it to an alt-coin and cross your fingers.
3156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: do you think bitcoin will go back again to 10k or even below 10k on: December 30, 2017, 03:37:44 PM
with south korea's move and bitcoin's overall downtrend do you think it an go further below 10k?

Not the first country to try to regulate or ban bitcoin. This is just an initial reaction to the story, it will turn around and go back to 15K level and maybe more.

3157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is dropping! what to expect?! on: December 30, 2017, 02:09:28 PM
Shaking off the weak hands and I guess this is just the right price right now. After all the crazy bull runs in the last few months, this is just a correction. Shorters gets their piece of the pie.

It can still go lower but the good news is we can buy more bitcoin and all the red alt coins out there.

3159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this a good advice? on: December 29, 2017, 10:54:22 PM
Bitcoin price is rising up in rocket speed and penny-pinching mind is always yelling that hold.. hold and hold your Bitcoins. Don't convert to fiat or spend them. But, there's a big risk...what to do?. This is a question somebody asked me today.

I didn't answer at him, but, thought deeply about that and got the following mind.

If you've 10BTC convert 5BTC into fiat and wait until the remainder is reaching to 10BTC and do the same again.

Is this a good advice?

You can do hold and wait or you can do this as well with 10 bitcoin.

Basically that is how you do it. And if you have that large amount of bitcoin, it will be easier because every 10000 sats movement will be large profit already. Say the price increase by 10000 sats, then you sell it. If the price drops by 10000 sats, you buy again. In 10bitcoin, that is 100K sats profit already. And it can happen few times a day. But be mindful of tx fees of course. Tx fees depends on exchanges so do your own math.
3160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 0.05 Ether tx fee, is ethereum going mad? on: December 29, 2017, 07:49:13 AM
I checked ethergasstation and the gas price is just 8 Gwei that translates to 0.00017 tx fee. Your fee is way off.

Maybe you can open your address in MEW so you can control the gas that you use.

MEW no idea what that is,

if this is what ethereum is going to become i am reconsidering its value,

because you cant simply pay constructionworkers with this, when they have to be hobby computer hacker to be able to use this cryptocurrency

It is an ethereum wallet that is only browser based. Check myetherwallet.com , if you have a private key, you can open your wallet in there. I use it and I set lower gas to have lower fees.
