I am just contemplating where to place my Arsenal free chip money. Did not try your approach of one 25$ bet and what happens happens but I think I will try that today. My play is almost always voisans so it will be about 60$ for me if it hits or more likely zero.

There is some poetry of putting it all on red though with red being the color associated with Arsenal.

Played my 2 freechips today instead of waiting for Thursday, first on red, lost, then I put it all on the 1/3 lane, 36 came out haha, so I pocketed $75 -- that's my Arsenal bet back and then some!

Have to say it's so satisfying to just spend a minute or two and winning more than my normal martingale...

I was definitely thinking of putting $5 chips on 5 straight spots on that final third lane but would have not picked 36... now I'm tempted to put my next chips all on 0, IF I profit from Arsenal's remaining games.

Last round's biggest match is still this round's biggest match IMO. We've got Arsenal who want to insist Saints was a blip (crazy that a draw keeping them on top of the league feels like a letdown) and PSV who want to ensure progress... anyone else thinks Arteta will rest his squad?

My big bet? Sheriff to win away at United at 31/1. You can get it at an even better boost 31.5 at Sportsbet, but I'm using my boosts elsewhere Wink

I won't forget how good Mourinho in his prime was at parking a bus. I think nobody can't beat him there, Simeone isn't even near to him.

yeah, especially with Porto, he won Champions league with them, and it was mere a miracle to see them winning CL
and it was based on parked bus mostly Smiley

but nevertheless, Conference league is lower quality competition, and parking bus against Slavia is much easier task, than parking bus in front of United attack

I was just saying the other day how much I kind of miss old, battling, combative, sour Mou. He seems to be a happy guy these days (not withstanding Roma's poor season so far) but I'd love to see him and Tammy go through group stages so it's a must-win tonight at Helsinki... he will be hoping Betis win big so the final showdown with Ludogorets is in his hands.

Will be sharing a bet later this week, not sure if anything is tempting enough for me but remember this is the league for goals!

So, some interesting news for me, Carrick's just taken over the reins at Middlesborough.

The last time I was betting heavily, it was on another ex-United star boss at a former Premier League club, so I wonder if it's time to start looking at either good odds on Boro or lopsided odds versus them Wink

Perhaps even more interesting is Woodgate is also on coaching staff. So a first-timer giving lessons a disciple haha.

Carrick, by the way, has a 100% record as a manager (3 wins in 3 for United) heh heh.

Emery back in England, taking over from Gerrard at Villa, didn't think they could pull off something like that so quick. From Villareal to Villa, IIRC he was interested in the Newcastle job before deciding to stay but them yellows have not been getting good results this season.

Remember when Rodgers was favourite to get the sack first, and 4 have already been fired this season before him? Marsch look like next... and while I agree Gerrard wasn't doing his job, clubs without deep pockets have not learnt their lesson about giving managers time (look at Arteta). Where are Bournemouth and Wolves now after firing Scott and Bruno? No better results, player acquisitions that may need to be offloaded at losses, and sacking compensation on their books.

Congrats to Darbit and LFC_Bitcoin on the yellow cap,we are sharing this prize so pretty happy with the week. Didnt expect in the end three yellow caps but thats how intresting it was. Also too bad Bournemouth didnt score at least one goal they were playing so good in the end of the match but not much chances for them.

Just saw this too, really good showing from all you guys, so well done. I think in a week, feels pretty common to see multiple yellow caps (or maybe I'm just playing so many pools it feels like that!) but still an achievement in a tough week.

With inflation reaching double figure percentages in the EU, while the euro flailing against the US dollar, probably not surprised people are willing to look for alternatives to store value... long term. I get all my income in BTC anyway, so it's not the same but if I were getting regular fiar, I'd receive part of my salary in BTC, the part I'd want to save. Save fees/hassle on DCA buying if that's their intent.

^ Nope, lost the Arsenal bet, lost my acca, but I'll wait for next Arsenal freechip to cash them in on Red again, and then I do have a Liverpool big one in Amsterdam, plus Arsenal to win again at Eindhoven, so if those hit, I'll be on my way, if not, then I'm back at about $100 haha. Hey, we all have to try win big or go home some days, no?

Will share bets by Thursday.
3148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2022/2023 on: October 24, 2022, 01:25:51 PM
Yes just follow QPR train, but few other teams are in very good form now, that is Blackburn, Millwall and Swansea.

In terms of the Championship this season, I will be monkey see, monkey do -- will also do a bit more to keep track of my betting results here, or at least when they're included in my accas (plenty of times last season, not yet this one).

Need to also find one or two matches to actually watch. I just kind of shied away from QPR ever since Aguerooooo haha.
3149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2022 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: October 24, 2022, 10:55:03 AM
Did anyone else loved the irony of Verstappen to his team when his team screwed up their second pit stop?I personally loved it,it shows that he wanted to win despite him being already Champion for this year,I doubt any other driver would have come and win after that except maybe Hamilton if he had the same car.

In the pool congrats to casper, for me it was a really bad week as I only took near the minimum amount of anyone else and lost a position but the two fights are open, that for the first prize and that for the third.

Didn't watch so no didn't even know that happened. Hope at least the remaining races give us the very same entertainment value, I might actually pop up to watch Brazil or Abu Dhabi as those are at very watchable times for me.

Pool? Mathematically even I have a chance at a prize but I've just been so bad all season I really can't see a way out for me. Still. Only need 1 yellow cap to get somewhere close, right?
3150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: October 24, 2022, 09:51:47 AM
Well. Just as I was talking up Atalanta and Napoli being undefeated, one has now fallen. Watched the Lazio game first half, Atalanta were chasing shadows for about 44 minutes, terrible football with no comparison to Spurs/Newcastle which I later switched to.

But Napoli, wow, took the game, pop up with Osimhen, best team in Italy currently the best team in Europe too, based on all the UCL games I've watched... and yes, better than City too who's not had that good opposition to be honest.
3151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: October 24, 2022, 08:17:00 AM
Dang. I thought it was risky to ask Barca to score 3 goals, and then they do it all in the first half for the second consecutive game. Still always feel it's weird to predict high scoring games but only get 1 point same as guys who pick 1-0.

Let's wait until Sevilla reach europa league, that's when we'll feast alright. They'll be in their comfort zone and we'll start making serious bank  Grin

That's actually a really good tactic come to think of it. Might even apply it to Premier League with... Spurs? Got so mad watching them play last night until I recalled they're maybe also just trying to lower expectations so fans are actually happy when they qualify for Europa.
3152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏁🏎️ Sportsbet.io🏁 FORMULA 1 2022 Season🏁🏎️Prediction Pool Discussion Thread on: October 23, 2022, 09:21:41 PM
Knowing the character of Verstappen, thinking back of his rage and crashes when he was young and not much experienced but those crashes showed that he wanted to win at all cost and he was ready to try anything for winning races. Now he already has 2 Championships in his pocket and this means that he will try to win all the remaining races. If you ask why that is simple,as they say "Appetite comes by eating" so the more a driver wins the more he wants to win further.

For the upcoming pole I am waiting to see the latest third practice in 9 Pm European time as the qualifying is in 12 AM,so I am not putting any prediction until then, hopefully I don't fall to sleep or it is good bye for me the fight for the third spot  Grin.

Yeah, definitely counted on that hunger of his to make a comeback, there should be a different aspect to it coming in as a champion already, now just records to break.

Did count on Sainz making fastest lap but not pole, but really overlooked Hamilton being able to do that! Credit to Leclerc for making up all that ground but cannot see Max not going on to just pile on the dominance.

Gg casper-)
3153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 23, 2022, 06:21:47 PM
Rare foray for me this season but does anyone else think Monaco's a value bet at 3/1? Match starts in little under half an hour, they've already had a relatively bad season and need 3 points to get back into European spots, and Lille's form not as good as Monaco's 4-streak now. Feel like they're about to kick into gear... hopefully Minamino features as a super sub, feel for that guy really.

No one doubts Mbappe's ability on the pitch. But most people regret the behavior he has shown lately. If he can reduce or even eliminate his selfishness I'm sure he will develop much better. We can see if he plays with good teamwork he can bring out his full potential. I was wondering if he was in a bad mood when he was involved in tension with his teammates? Yes, I think his mood has an effect on the attitude he has shown so far.
Paris Saint Germain's victory is nothing strange, because the victory was predicted beforehand.

I don't know how you came to this conclusion. PSG are so much stronger than Ajaccio that they should win with the same  score (maybe even more) with reserve squad. Mbappe, by the way, in the previous game (where the only goal was scored) made an assist to Neymar - in fact, he is not as selfish as some try to exaggerate. And even if so, he must understand that his personal success directly depends on the success of PSG, so he must work for the team.

I'm actually with you here. I've always thought there wasn't as much in the tension as the media makes it out to be, he's definitely not my favourite character by far, but he's a professional at the end of the day, who knows he only wins when his team wins.

Also kind of wish this thread isn't all PSG =D
3154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 23, 2022, 05:15:12 PM
And finally, parity is approaching Bundesliga. Saw Freiburg drop at last week's hurdle, and today Union Berlin's turn. Still 1 point above the defending champions but I guess we'll be seeing Bayern right back up sitting above everyone before World Cup begins... right?

Hoping both Freiburg and Union do themselves justice in Europa this Thursday though as I got them both on last legs of an acca with all other legs already booked!

3155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: October 23, 2022, 04:09:52 PM
Griezmann double, points in the bag, and a close score, that's fine. I was taking a lot of time over this one -- 1-0, 2-0 and finally settled for good old boring 2-1, thinking Betis would take advantage of suspect Atletico defending these days. To be fair, they had thrice the number of attempts, so it was a fair prediction, and Nabil Fekir popped up to give it to me.

Alex Moreno almost got Trofo the 2-2 pick he made though in 3rd min injury time!

Been a long, long time since I got 2 exact picks in a row, Bologna gave me one just before this in Serie A, hope this is me recovering in Superbru.

I am not betting on Valencia ever

regarding Sevilla, maybe four goals more than expected, but final score and Real win couldn't be more reasonable and expected

Never too late to learn the lesson the rest of us already have haha, but yeah, I don't feel too bad about losing Sevilla bet, was one I'd keep on putting as long as the odds are right, exact score in pool is good for me, climbing up to Top 7 after 11 games finally.

Don't know much about cricket but I always know India-Pakistan feels like the biggest rivalry in cricket world, so yeah, PK looks like the value bet.
Yeah, it's the biggest rivalry, however, the most honorary and rivalry is England vs Australia when the compare comes with Ashes.

There you go eh? Can see from this thread alone, PK-IN always seems to create the most post-match discussion, whatever the result haha. I've been lucky in my short life to see a couple of those up close, doesn't seem to matter what quality the team is at or what's at stake, the result is guaranteed controversy. Nice bet on all you guys who racked up India wins.

Reading about this Virat guy, everyone saying he had his best night of his career. Enjoy, because NZ's a'coming! =D

Well, glad I stuck with Villa win, but 3-1 and 3-0 predictions did not foresee this 4-goal haul (as of now). Not fun to only get 1 point despite predicting so many goals haha.

Fuck me, been backing Villa throughout more or less and this day I decide to back Brentford since they sacked gerrard and all and then this happens LOL

Same here, but I stuck with them. New manager bounce not quite, since they only have a caretaker. Poor Gerrard!

I didn't know much about Gerard until I heard the news of him getting axed.  But I am surprised by this discussion.  Isn't a bit premature to talk about Klopp's successor?  Am I unaware of something Klopp said that makes people think he's going to step down?  Because I really can't see LFC ownership forcing him out after one bad season.

Klopp signed one extension, when there were concerns he was going to take a sabbatical, so he will stay a couple more seasons but a lot happened during Covid (he lost a family member and he has been giving signs in past that he will not take a new role after Liverpool), and of course, at the club succession plans are already being discussed. Gerrard is not so much a current or even near future plan but there is a lot of support for him to some day come.

3158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2022/2023 on: October 23, 2022, 01:05:21 PM
I am really not supporter of Preston in any way, they have worst attack in Championship league even after scoring two goals against Blackpool.
QPR is in top form right now so I am riding their waves at the moment, I placed bet on them both in Sportsbet and in Betnomi website and I won them both.
Not 100% success rate for me as Rotherham lost from Hull City, but they did scored over 2.5 goals like I predicted, so it's not that bad Smiley

Yeah, worst attack and best defence for a long stretch of the season, which is generally what I look for in "crap" teams to get high value bets (but they never really reached that).

QPR, you say, huh? I'll have a look at odds, but still haven't found the sweet Derby spot I used to rely on 2 seasons ago for really good hits. I'm looking for teams of 4/1 or 5/1 odds ML, to win those every 2 or 3 games is enough for me.

Sigh, yeah, I did get a nice 3/1+ upset win in the last round, and then was already halfway there with O'Malley shouldn't have tried to become too smart with that acca. Oliveira down quickly, couldn't get his sub attempt, couldn't land as many blows, completely subdued all over the place, according to stats. Makhachev didn't feel like lingering around too long, did he now?h
3160  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Currency should be Integrated into School Curriculum on: October 23, 2022, 10:37:28 AM
Currency may appear to be a simple and difficult subject to understand for students, but it is in fact, if you look at it in the context of BTC, ETH and other Cryptocurrencies.

Yeah which is why I think general money management, domestic economics, simple things like how not to put yourself into early debt by spending below your means. That's what's much more important than getting kids to understand how currency works... cryptocurrency should certainly form modern curriculum, only as the latest form of money, and to understand that there are alternative concepts of money, that's all.

Otherwise you're just getting people buying BTC for FOMO and hoping to get rish quick. We all know how badly that ends.
