I also thought that no one else would have got 16.5 points in this race as I thought no one had got the balls to put Perez 2nd while I have done so several weeks in a row and today it was the day that I got them correctly.Well done to Max Verstappen for going to the 2 times Champion club and joining Alonso and some other great drivers in F1 history.I guess in those all 4 races left it can be entertaining only for us who still play in the pool because every normal fan of F1 has no reason to continue watching F1 races anymore while we will watch these remaining races full of emotion.

Exactly. The pool will be helpful for us to enjoy the remaining races as well. But the season has already finished for the rest of the people. Especially after FIA's disputable decisions in the Japanese GP I assume many people wouldn't be eager to watch the rest of the races in this season. I really don't understand how they can make very simple mistakes that even we wouldn't make. So to say that there have been big changes in FIA but it looks like the thing has changed is only the people not the management style.

A really bad round for me, i pick 9 of the 10 correct points scorer but 0 bonus point GG.

I have to say i disagree with your opinion, for me was a really bad GP to see. I wait to the start until 2AM (here in Argentina) for...... one lap an a Red Flag, and for a lot of delayed restarts, i ended going to bed and watching the race after.

And for the race.... what can i say, only 2 battles and nobody cant overtake...

For the race directors.... what can i say. They made all in the bad way.

It looks like Red Bull will just be "lucky" about not getting any serious punishment for their exceeding the budget. This is really ridiculous. I don't know if blocking them from winning the championship is an option in the rule book. Maybe it would be too much to wait for I don't know. But some of their points could have been deleted for example. This might have heated up the title rivalry once again but they are just going to get away with this.

FIA are causing people to lose their belief in them quite sharply. First the unbelievable ending in the 2021 Abu Dhabi GP. There was a huge mistake there but it looks like they haven't learned their lesson at all. People will continue to criticize them until something starts to change. FIA are doing nothing more than harming F1 these days.

Mercedes era has ended just like any other era in F1 that can't go on forever.Why no one was blaming Redbull before they started to win,no one really cared what they were doing and if they were doing it correctly or were they abiding by the rule as no one cares for a team who is not winning.A lot of things immediately change and our point of view also changes when a certain team starts to win.We cannot make the Championship better by deleting some points as Redbull is on another planet this year.

The only mistake FIA has made is to not control the spending of the teams before starting the season and punish anyone who goes above the limits put in place by FIA as simple as that.

By the way I have heard that Toto Wolff is planning to exceed the budget by the same amount next season. He is just waiting for Red Bull's punishment to become official. If the punishment is only a monetary fine then Mercedes are also going to do the same. Because they are also one of the richest teams and this kind of a punishment wouldn't harm them at all.

To be honest, I believe this is clever of him. They are already angry with FIA for letting Red Bull get away with this and they want to play the game by the rules from now on. If they follow in the footsteps of Red Bull then maybe they could become more advantageous next season.

Next season I doubt this will play a big role that impacts the performance,I think so because almost all the teams have started way to early to prepare the car for the next season and they most likely will be able to bring a much better car compared to the ones they had this year.If the difference is little from team to team which is expected because the teams are working far more for the next year car than they have for this year car then it can come in handy to spend a little more over the budget to fix these little flaws and if Redbull just gets a monetary fine,yes this is a true smart move from Totto Wolff.

It says that Charles Leclerc has got a 5-place grid penalty already. The reason is that Ferrari changed some elements in the engine of his car. They must be preparing the car for next season and they wouldn't refrain from doing these things often in the remaining races also. In the end, there is no championship chance left for him officially.

On the other hand, he is still in a fierce competition with Perez for the second position. There is only one point between them in the driver standings now. I assume that Leclerc wouldn't like to lose this place at least to Perez at the end of the season. If this "improvement" in the engine helps Leclerc then he might get a good advantage over Perez in the rest of the season. He needs to drop the individual mistake level to minimum at the same time.

Odds have changed meanwhile and Leclers is at 3.00 now for getting pole, which is quite a lot.



When I saw Verstappen's odds yesterday, I was considering to go for Verstappen pole because as swogerino has said: it's a long straight and long straights should be good for RedBull. RedBull has also improved for qualifying recently when Verstappen was taking pole in Japan.
Going for Leclerc after his engine change and RedBull's recent performance is too risky for me.

He has 1.45 to win the race which clearly confirms my thinking.

Odds have also changed here but Leclerc getting a penalty would be an easy win for Verstappen. He could only lose when team orders are given in favor of Perez or from a technical issue. But RedBull has been very reliable recently.
High temperatures should be also suitable for RedBull as Ferrari has huge problems with tyre degradation. Sunday is forecasted to be above 30°C, so Ferrari's tyres can get serious issue.
I'm taking a Verstappen win at 1.41



But it will be an interesting race to see if Sainz can stop Verstappen or Perez.

Have to say once more GG to swogerino for that awesome haul, I'm going for broke and putting in slightly unfavoured picks in the positions, have to try and do better than 0 bonus points for position accuracy, and Leclerc pole at over 3/1 does seem like good value, if we believe Verstappen's going to take a lot of risks to try create some records (season's in the bag, right?).

This is like an official announcement of Verstappen to win the race.    I don't mean that Verstappen would have struggled in the other case. Because he already has a much faster car than Leclerc now and he is winning the races very easily most of the time as well. But at least Leclerc would have a chance to take advantage of Verstappen's probable mistake during the race. Now he has a very difficult job to climb the positions from all the way back. Red Bull drivers would be in control of this race I assume. Sainz will be alone to fight against Mercedes drivers for some time. We will see if he will be able to make some difficulties for Perez also.

If true, it would make it almost impossible for him to challenge Verstappen.
Austin is easy to overtake but Verstappen would be far away by when Leclerc would have passed most of the field.

Knowing the character of Verstappen,thinking back of his rage and crashes when he was young and not much experienced but those crashes showed that he wanted to win at all cost and he was ready to try anything for winning races.Now he already has 2 Championships in his pocket and this means that he will try to win all the remaining races.If you ask why that is simple,as they say "Appetite comes by eating" so the more a driver wins the more he wants to win further.

For the upcoming pole I am waiting to see the latest third practice in 9 Pm European time as the qualifying is in 12 AM,so I am not putting any prediction until then,hopefully I don't fall to sleep or it is good bye for me the fight for the third spot  .

A really fun to watch race to see, we have all we can have (only miss the rain ) Safety car, pit stops errors, great drivings, tyres management, etc.

RB  took his constructor championship, in  memory of his owner. A very important person in F1 i think he was.

What a bad luck to Sebastian Vettel he made a beatifull race.

Fun race and in the end, the dominant car won again.

Max now has the same amount of winning as MSchumacher 2004 and Vettel with RBR, and he probably beat them.

The better car, maybe the better driver but a doped car.

Did anyone else loved the irony of Verstappen to his team when his team screwed up their second pit stop?I personally loved it,it shows that he wanted to win despite him being already Champion for this year,I doubt any other driver would have come and win after that except maybe Hamilton if he had the same car.

In the pool congrats to casper,for me it was a really bad week as I only took near the minimum amount of anyone else and lost a position but the two fights are open,that for the first prize and that for the third.
