3161  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Polish-registered recyclix.com is provably a Ponzi scheme on: October 12, 2016, 10:07:15 PM
But what  about the real factories? Expos? Office's? Employees? Open days ? And the rest things they are doing in real ?

Google AmberGold, huge Ponzi also operating in Poland for 3 years. They had legit office, employees, advertised everywhere, fuck, they even owned small airline and employed prime minister's son. Eventually inevitable happened and they collapsed and owner got jailed (he had something like 6 or more previous suspended sentences for fraud).

If you have enough suckers to buy into it, costs of renting an office or even small factory and employing few people are not that big.

The fucked up thing is that Polish authorities won't do shit until it collapses.

OP, it's almost like you want to get scammed.
3163  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Polish-registered recyclix.com is provably a Ponzi scheme on: October 11, 2016, 08:50:57 PM

Thanks for making this thread. I recently learnt about Recyclix, check them out and they look fishy as fuck. You got to give it to them though, they put some real effort in it.

Here's some nice blog post (from may, so not up-to date) but with some good points:

http://www.affiliateunguru.com/recyclix-review-genuine-opportunity-or-well-planned-scam

+ Polish commentary in similar tone: http://transatlantycki.blogspot.co.uk/2016/09/recyclix-inwestowaes-juz-z-gold-pora-na.html

Both are linking back to this thread.

Also, if no one mentioned this before, Recyclix has been added to the CONSOB's warning list (Italian financial regulator):
https://smnweekly.com/2016/09/19/italys-consob-warns-tixfx-gettoption-profit4trade/

Quote
Curiously, the fourth entry on CONSOB’s list is a Polish recycling company – Recyclix.

Ps. Recently some junior member popped out on Polish board, actively promoting Recyclix (+ other shit, i.e. Bitclub, Dascoin):
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1631685.0

Pointed out to him that it's a ponzi, but he went full retard so I know he does it intentionally. Appropriate trust feedback from DT trust member could be useful.

Wszystkim innym ktorzy powaznie zastanawiaja sie nad 'inwestowaniem' w Recyclix polecam:

Oczywiscie z punktu widzenia inwestora, wszystko wyglada pieknie. Zainwestuj 200k i nie musisz nigdy wiecej pracowac. Zbyt piekne by bylo prawdziwe.

Ps. Autorze tematu, wklejanie 'linkow partnerskich' jest generalnie niedozwolone na tym forum (z pewnymi wyjatkami).

TechCrunch launched their new series (6 episodes scheduled) dedicated to Bitcoin and Blockchain tech.

We have a new series launching this week called Trust Disrupted: Bitcoin and the Blockchain. The six-episode series examines the rise of Bitcoin and the tech that allows it to operate.

The first episode will answer all your questions about the Bitcoin platform and how it works. Why did futurists want to create a totally digital currency? How would it work? What will the effects of Bitcoin and the blockchain have on the future of our economy?

Episode one seeks to explain the blockchain, the technology that allows bitcoins to be transferred between entities, as well as the motives behind its creators. The episode also examines the platform’s future and how it will be received by governments and big banks, the very institutions its creators were trying to sidestep or even overturn.

Let's Think About The Future's escrow status should be changed to Y/N, from Y. While Avirunes is managing the campaign, and Lutpin is escrowing, Lutpin is still making the payments, which means it qualifies for Y/N.

Quote
If a campaign has Yes/No as escrow status, it means that the person holding the funds also pays the participants. This is a conflict of interest, but shouldn't be a big problem if the person doing escrow is trusted.

If Lutpin is not managing and if he can be considered an independent 3rd party, then I can't see any conflict of interest.
3168  Economy / Auctions / Re: Sr. Member on: October 09, 2016, 09:18:37 PM
I bid 0.015

Don't buy any accounts if sellers don't provide you with a signed message from old address because it may be a hacked account so they may sell it for a cheaper price. In his post, he didn't mention whether he can give you signed a message so first clarify with the seller and use an escrow to avoid problems later.
Without signed messages no one should try to buy or deal with this accounts, as a senior account wont be sold lower then 0,05btc thats the almost auctions start from those, this price is too good to be true, soo you will need always a signed message to deal with any account.

Signed message from what address exactly? Not every account has stacked/linked addy so which specific address would you require him to sign.

And it's a free market. If the only bid was of 0.015, then how can you tell it's worth 0.05?

ps. I agree that OP should be tagged for not honouring his own auction. You're not ready to sell for 0.01? Then set a higher starting price.

OK, so you charge 2% for every day late, but what's your fee for loans repaid within agreed timeframe? %/day, fixed amount or do you provide free loans?

Bankroll down a bit

And now going back to over 170. Seems like some investors are freaking out when site is making losses for few days, they divest and reinvest after site hits profit and recoups previous losses. That's exactly what you shouldn't be doing as investor, as you're taking your share of losses and miss the share in profit.

Investing is for the patient ones.

3172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: coinmarketcap on: October 08, 2016, 11:31:44 AM
They have assets listed like Counterparty, NXT, etc. Sort of like stock shares.

NXT, ETH, Counterparty are actually not listed as assets, but there are bunch of assets based on those platforms.

Coinroll is now accepting participants again: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1491815.msg16438257#msg16438257, good luck to all that decide to try  to join
Thanks for the update, satmas! Smiley

It's probably more suitable to mark Coinroll as 'flux' rather than 'A'. They don't accept/reject participants immediately, but let everyone express their interest and will pick the best few in an unspecified time. So bit similar to Betcoin, which technically is always open but only for 'exceptional' posters and waiting list for others.
How is that any different from any other 'A' campaigns? No signature campaign manager gives a specific time when he will accept/reject people.

The situation is very similar to other campaigns, tbh. Lutpin and Gianluca doesn't reply at the same day users have shown their interest in joining the campaign. It actually takes days before they respond unlike SFR, yahoo, and Avirunes. Also, coinroll is partially being managed by yahoo so I think he's always on it when somebody shows interest in joining the coinroll campaign.

In addition, you won't actually know if yahoo or Namworld isn't actually accepting/rejecting participants immediately. Users will receive a PM from him or Namworld regarding the approval of the enrollment as stated in here:
Users whom are interested in this campaign need to show interest in joining via this thread. I will pm or namworld will pm those whom we are interested in
First of all, I would know whether they're responding immediately, as I applied to participate there myself and still awaiting reply.

They, unlike other active campaigns, don't require applicants to wear signature when applying for a spot, and (looking at the thread and responses from namworld and yahoo) they already have more applications than available spots, so 'A' mark could be misleading. They do pretty much the same what Betcoin does.

I can't really tell where's the clear line between 'flux' and 'A', and it doesn't make much difference after all.

But it starting to look like Betcoin have their own special category, it's the only campaign marked as 'flux' and red star (not sure why).

I will like to join campaign if escrow is available

Lutpin holds funds in escrow, see the first post.
3175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Brave' browser starts paying bitcoins on: October 05, 2016, 02:00:30 PM
That's why they should implement those 15% payments to users as soon as possible. Earning BTC for browsing, even if it's only few satoshis per day etc., could be pretty strong incentive to switch to Brave. Currently only available option to enable users to pay for browsing is not appealing at all to average user.

why implement the payout as soon as possible. they first have to get websites to partner with brave and agree to braves features in exchange for an income. this should be done first, to ensure websites get paid. long before handing funds to users.

again its worth mentioning, if people take the greed hat off and put a business hat on to think about how to run a sustainable business/concept. rushing to hand users funds before the content creators can get paid. is a downward spiral

"As soon as possible" =/= "immediately"

And they don't need to partner up with any websites, they'll be replacing certain type of ads and replacing them with their own on every website (like it or not). The appropriate portion of tips/ad revenue will be made available for webmasters to claim (or ignore).

So more appropriate question is whether they have enough advertisers for their own ads, getting such could be tough without gaining critical mass of users first. So I'd say they need to bring all the pieces at the (almost) same time, they can't afford to wait and lose the momentum.

It is an interesting idea to implemented bitcoin into paid browser, I do hope this project can continue and expand, the more bitcoin user the more stable price we got, hopefully it dont slowing the internet connection that we have and contents of the ads is informative
It's cool i give you that Wink but i don't see more users than some geeks trying it out. people tend to be lazy and not care, so i don't see why they should bother.

@xuan87 - the general idea is to improve page loading time, so it won't slow down internet connection.
3178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'Brave' browser starts paying bitcoins on: October 04, 2016, 11:13:07 PM
They still have that 15% to users on their website:
https://brave.com/about_ad_replacement.html

Quote
Step Three: Brave Pays You

Replacing ads means our users get a share of the gross ad revenue. Brave will pay users 15% of gross ad revenue. This is the same amount of money that we make from those ads (the rest goes to publishers and ad content partners.) And if you are feeling generous, you may route your earnings back to the sites you browse, and even add more through the use of a Brave wallet, administered through BitGo. In exchange for your generosity, we will block all of the ads on the sites you choose to pay.

Doesn't sound like a cashback. And cashback for voluntary donations would be very weird idea. I could just donate less, or nothing, if I cared about cashback.
3179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 'Brave' browser starts paying bitcoins on: October 04, 2016, 10:03:25 PM

https://nakedsecurity.sophos.com/2016/10/04/brave-browser-starts-paying-bitcoins-to-adblocked-sites/

Quote
An integrated Bitcoin payment system will handle payments, putting bitcoins into your wallet if you’ve agreed to see ads and taking them out if you’ve opted to have them blocked.

The fees Brave Software takes in from advertisers will go into one pot. The publishers get the lion’s share – 55% – weighted by how many ad impressions are served on their sites.

What’s left over gets divvied up between Brave, its ad-matching partners, and the users, with each getting 15%.

If users don’t opt to take their 15%, then the publishers will get 70%.

Anyone using Brave and can verify this? Have they indeed started paying users, or publishers only? I only use android version, which doesn't yet support btc payments.
