3161  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be too greed for more gains.... on: April 01, 2022, 03:14:46 AM
NFT hype is slowly going down and in the coming days, the tokens related to those projects might well not be heard anymore as they won't have any value. If you had invested your time in acquiring Bitcoin then your greed would have been justified here. Anyways greed does cause a lot of problems such as scammers are always on the hunt of finding people who are greedy.
3162  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Gaming hack be warned ethereum (NFT/blockchain) on: April 01, 2022, 03:07:32 AM
This is the second biggest theft in the history of cryptocurrency hacks after Polynetwork. I did post a chart on this hack here. It is the biggest hack reported on a crypto bridge. I am not sure how the Axie Infinity team will be able to recover that amount. This is one of the main reasons why investors should focus primarily on Bitcoin.

3164  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Embed a Video. on: March 31, 2022, 10:46:35 AM
Well, you can use BBcode to embed a youtube video but as informed by other members Bitcointalk does not support embedded video(I am not sure why?). What you have shown in your post is basically linking a video that will take you to the platform where this video has been displayed. It is similar to linking a website url. This doesn't happen when you embed a video. If it was embedded then it will start instantly within the post.
Rather going through such complex linking you can link the video using text or you can display the video URL within the post by code.
3165  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about sharing merits on: March 31, 2022, 09:18:08 AM
From Jr member to Member, all thanks for those who rank me up, I want to ask a question about merits, as a member account owner is it proper to merit someone else? Or too early to be sending merits to others? Thanks.
Merits are not easy to get. If you have send able merits then only merit those post which you like the most. I would still recommend you to wait till you become full member and then start.
3166  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Livecasino.io - 🔥 Review Campaign 🔥 on: March 30, 2022, 06:56:20 AM
Review for LiveCasino.io
Mobile OS: Android
Browser: Brave Browser

For this review, I have used my mobile device. The sign-up process requires you to enter your DOB which according to me was unusual. Thankfully phone number was optional otherwise I would have skipped the sign-up.

By default Bitcoin wallet is activated but I wanted to activate the Tron wallet, which according to me was quite simple. While activating the Tron wallet the screen got stuck for a few seconds. I am not sure whether it happened only tome and if the same happens on the desktop too.

Stuck Screen

After Activation

I did not find any issue with depositing funds. It was fast and easy like other casinos. But, I found the website was lagging a bit.

The minimum amount required to deposit and play is mentioned but I was not able to find out what is the minimum amount required for withdrawal. Also it would be great if you guys add a FAQ page with all the important information. It is a pain to read all the information under the info tab. The home button appears as a white dot for me on the top left corner it should be displayed as a home icon. I am not sure whether the display issue was only for me or it is how you guys are displaying the home icon.

Another issue that I found out was that after my sign-up was done I did not receive the verification email. Later on I had to again request another one, eventually I did and verifed my email address.

Played a few slot games and what I did not like is that they displayed the amount in Euros. I was expecting it to be in dollars. Apart from that everything looks perfect.
3167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World map that shows location of Bitcoin ATMs and merchants on: March 30, 2022, 03:02:13 AM
Coinatmradar is another website that provides Bitcoin ATM locations across the globe but does not provide merchant details. I also do not think they are specifically targeting Bitcoin-based retailers as I also saw hardware wallet retailers being listed on it. This is a good initiative to help anyone who is looking for more than an ATM information.
3168  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: About $600 millions hacked on Ronin Bridge 6 days ago on: March 30, 2022, 02:17:29 AM
Another reason why you should avoid investing in shitcoins and start investing in Bitcoin. This is the second biggest hack after Polynetwork as per Bloomberg.
3169  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 30, 2022, 02:12:44 AM
Those who are trying to create the Bitcoin Energy FUD, they should go through the Bitcoin carbon emission data for 2021 and stop this propaganda.
3170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New vision about cryptocurrency on: March 30, 2022, 01:52:40 AM
I donot understand what you want to convey to us. You have joined this forum recently and apart from mentioning in your post about Bitcoin you are referring to cryptocurrency. BTW, which crypto? I would suggest you to spend more time on learning rather than creating topics for merits that do not make any sense.
3171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Change the Code, Not the Climate" FUD campaign coming next month on: March 29, 2022, 09:33:10 AM
I have always believed that considering the greater purpose of Bitcoin the energy issue is just nothing. These FUD's are a well planned propoganda and not just stupidity. It is a bit late now for them to come with such FUD. Bitcoin's growth is inevitable now.
3172  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 29, 2022, 07:44:57 AM
After long time CB has made hatrick post and that also within $47k range with leaving behind his NFT avatar and now choosing to smash the bears the hell out with that price surge charts Grin

Are we going to enjoy $50k weekend this time? If so i am ordering two pizzas to embark the half century for bitcoin to celebrate it.

So now the official candidate running for Canada's PM elections is issuing this statement:

This statement might turn most of bitcoiners in his favour after the recent policy of Justin Trudeau on freezing the freedom convoy truckers btc transactions, bank accounts and the latest one coinbase privacy policy to disclose the receipt details if the amount is more than $1000 CAD.So this can prove some really bad points for them as the other party is having friendly behaviour to btc.

But can't really beleive on them as after coming into power they all make their own decisions without caring for people but will see the results and bitcoin remains unstoppable.

Looks more like the rival party is pro Bitcoin than the ruling one. It can also be a away to lure crypto voters for the next election. I do not think 50k will be achievable by the end of weekend. He also bought lunch using Bitcoin.
3173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers show no mercy, this is how serious crypto investment has become on: March 29, 2022, 07:41:32 AM
Iwe investors are the ones funding scammers' pocket, this is why you should avoid most metaverse projects and play2earn games, remember they are hungry and angry people that will go any lent to achieve their ill-gotten dreams, lets stop helping them.
I haven't heard any Metaverse projects and play2earn project scam till now. Are you referring to exit scams, project theft or actual scams happening on those? If yes, then you should share some examples and if possible some proofs.

I agree with you that scammers have made more than investors in 2021 but most of those scam happened in DeFI. There was an article published on one of the major media outlet about Defi scams early this year. Here is the link to that articles.

The only way to prevent your self from getting scammed is to not become greedy and stupid.
3174  Local / India / Increase crypto tax from 30% to 55% on: March 29, 2022, 06:17:31 AM
BJP member Sushil Kumar Modi wants the Finance ministry to increase crypto tax from 30% to 55% as he consider it as a form of gambling.
Quote
"Crypto is gambling. It is a form of lottery, a form of horse racing... When you put money in share market you know companies who are behind it but who are behind crypto?"
In my opinion he has no idea what Decentralization means and why any decentralized Blockchain cannot form a company as it is not owned or governed by an individual or a group.

I am also preety much sure that he doesn't know that cryptocurrency gambling and cryptocurrency trading are two different entities. This is not the first time that members from the ruling party have given out statements in public that proves how much they are aware about this new technology.

Read the full article and do share your thoughts.

3175  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How secured is fingerprint lock on wallet? on: March 28, 2022, 09:58:15 AM
I would never do that.
Fingerprint or biometric authentication are flawed. It is better to use password or pin based locks. Also avoid mobile wallet for hodling. Use it only for trading purpose or for transactions. I personally use password and 2FA for my mobile wallet.

Sorry to hear that you became a victim of another scam. I guess you might have not been that much active but it has been discussed several times on this board to never believe on such offers as they are scams.

3179  Local / India / Re: Indian MP Says Crypto Is Used For Bribes & Money Laundering on: March 27, 2022, 07:01:53 AM
30% tax would instead motivate people to not pay tax and use black market tactics.

That is for sure 30 percent flat tax and no setoff loss simply means the government does not want crypto to thrive. They are simply looking at ways to stop people in indulging in cryptocurrency business. The world is slowly moving towards regulating cryptocurrency and our government is trying to implement a law that will cause a lot of issues for the community starting April and then in July this year when they implement 1 percent TDS.
3180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Starting my crypto journey, hope I'm in the right place on: March 27, 2022, 06:26:45 AM
Is this section the right place for a newcomer to ask questions because I don't know, but it says beginners and help, hope I'm right?

Is there anyway to increase my IQ about which crypto project to invest money on?
I make 400$ every month and I can save up to 300$ per month what exact amount is good for crypto project investment?

Can I ask a question about a crypto project on here? For example DASH?

Do you think that crypto will survive 5 years to come?

There is a lot of questions on my mind but I want to take a step at a time, so guide me and correct me in any way possible.
First of all let me welcome you to the forum. Yes, this is the right board to ask questions. To start your cryptocurrency journey any amount is good if you have the ability to bear loss if in case your principal amount goes down. To discuss other cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin you can follow this Altcoin discussion board . Always remember that before investing in any project you need to do your own research.
