What should I do with my 2K sats of BCH on Bitfinex? I haven't bothered confirming, but that is not enough to meet the order minimum, correct? I guess that I'll have to keep them. So I am now an official BCH HODLer who will get left holding the bag.  (I also have 500 BCH sats on Hashnest too, left over from my dump. Guess I'm a HODL no matter what.) Same here. I have some dust on bitfinex and bittrex. Maybe in 20 years when bitcoin is worth $100 million, bcash will be worth $10,000 and I can sell it for a coffee. I'll probably no longer be around in 20 years. Those coffin nails are starting to catch up with me, and I just can't/won't quit. You think I should leave step by step instructions for my heirs, so they can retrieve my BCH dust? |

I already have 1 confirmation, so I can't reverse the transaction. Unfortunately, I don't have a huge farm of ASICS that would be required to do a double spend. (Even if I did, I'm not sure I could still pull it off. Is there a step by step guide on how to do a 51% attack? ) You could probably do it on a intel pentium 4 the hashing power is that low Wow, I could really do a good job with my I5-3450 and AMD 7570. |

Oops, I should have checked that Bittrex requires 20 confirmation before sending. Guess I'll hurry up and wait. I was so excited that the Trezor claiming was back up that I just picked the first exchange on my Password Manager that would accept deposits. My bad. Come on WU, point all of your spare hash at this coin. It's your spawn, after all. Yea theres a reason HitBTC is cheap only need 2 confirmations so quick dump there will be loads that should be confirmed soon then price will probably be real cheap I already have 1 confirmation, so I can't reverse the transaction. There are still 1000s of people waiting for enough confirmations to dump then yes it will explode like a bomb destroying all value

i am trying to get my wallet address, and when i click on it i get this error "Due to regulatory concerns beyond our control we cannot accept deposits from the State of Colorado" ... is this error because they no longer do business in Colorado or because of the fork today (Aug 1)?
They don't take deposits from US customers anymore for about a month. You can get around it by using the iphone app or logging in via a VPS. |

Well, let's see... 4BTC is 5% of 80BTC. You would have received 80 BCH. Right now, kraken lists the price of BCH as 0.13563 BTC. 80 * 0.13563 = 10.85 BTC. Did you do good? You tell me. Was the lesser risk worth a 2.5x difference? Personally, I would have gone for the BCH, but then again, I believe that BCH rather than segwit is the proper route forward for Bitcoin. (actually, I went for the BCH)
When y'all gonna start dumping your BCH like you were whining about yesterday? I want more cheap Bitcoin Cash! Where can I dump? Most exchanges that I checked are not accepting BCC deposits. I tried to sign up for VIABTC and I keep getting an error "Don't try too frequently." WTF, I got this error on the first try. How is that too frequent? |

Wow! the price of Bitcoin Cash on Bittrex is over $400 and leads with trading volume.
I don't understand why people spend over $400 to buying a free alt. coin.
the trading volume of BCH is even below ETC so "easy" to manipulate the rate, good for all who have their BCH already on the exchange as soon deposit works it'll become a race who catches the high price and how comes to late  Well, on Bittrex it the volume leader right now with almost 7000 Bitcoins traded. I sold a bit early today and did not get the high price.  Yeah, once they allow deposit price will come down. I only had 14 sats on Bittrex. So now I have 14 sats Bitcoin Cash there too. The coins that they pay you back with are freshly mined coins. BTC and BCC are not merge mineable from what I have been told. You will only get paid back in BTC. if you have any balance in your hashnest wallet, Bitmain should give you the BCC too if you had a balance in the wallet when the fork happened. However, I am not aware of any statement from Bitmain stating they will do that either. |

The market cap of above ground silver and bitcoin is similar now. Bitcoin is no longer some cheap penny stock. The US gold vs debt chart with 92% correlation shows gold will hit at least $2200 in the next bull run, which would bring the GSR to 30:1 or lower ($73 silver). Bitcoin would need to hit $12,000 to compete with that almost guaranteed silver upside in the near future.
But that's a very conservative number for just a stable market situation. In a real crisis situation and rush to hard assets, gold would be more like $5000 and $166 silver or more. Or a government metals revaluation of gold to $10k and silver to 1:15 ratio of astronomically high numbers like $600 silver. Bitcoin would need to be able to hit $100k each to compete with that possible silver upside. It will never happen. Big corporations will just create their own scamcoins and try to force people into them and the crypto market cap will be divided up between 50 different coins (also due to poor scalability and high fees), unlike the metals market where you can't just "invent" a new gold or silver and are forced to buy the real thing.
