3161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ultimately long time holders are enjoying the real BEAUTY! on: April 13, 2021, 01:25:31 PM
That's still good money for you.

Profit is profit as they say and whatever is the amount that you've gained, enjoy it mate. You regret it because you've lesser profit than those holders.

How about us? we do regret that we didn't buy it and didn't have that chance to profit from it.
yeah you are right. Luck favour for me regarding this. Not everyone is happy in this bull run. By the way, long timers are enjoying the moment so much. If I have some, definitely I will enjoy it too. Still now bnb is worth buying, it will touch $1000 within this year. So if you have some budget, you can keep BNB in your portfolio.
That's what I've heard too.

They're saying that BNB is likely to be touching $1k anytime soon but this time it looks like it has stopped and taken a rest. While bitcoin and ethereum have taken the spotlight for this day, most many are into it again.

But it's still a good buy as long as you're believing on it and you have a long term plan.
3162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Have you given up on airdrop? on: April 13, 2021, 12:24:35 PM
It's no longer a thing these days. The new airdrop is those with dividends and farming, they're the ones that make most of the investors make free money.

But it's not completely an airdrop because you need to have an existing balance based on the requirements of that project. Although most of the airdrop requires no balance with a specific token, the new trend goes with a requirement on its platforms.

3164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What age bracket is perfect for gambling on: April 12, 2021, 03:54:57 PM
Gambling at a very young age is very bad and it's never accepted by every society at large. In my country, before you think of gambling you must be above 18years. Anything less than the age is a big No and it won't be allowed.
How dare a kid to partake in gambling when his elders are there already. He dare not to avoid shouting or beating upon
There's a country that has a very young age for giving consent to their children to be open in gambling. In Malawi, this article[1], says that age 5 and above are considered legal to gamble.

3165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1000% growth. Any ALTS you hodl that look like it will achieve it? on: April 12, 2021, 03:03:08 PM
I don’t understand the thought process of how people spot the next Altcoin to pump by 10x?
It's just like a guessing game. You do a bit of research and if there's an active team that works for it, you bet on that and buy it even though it's a low cap coin or the volume is still low while it's newly launched.

It will be a guessing game but it is not totally a blind or clueless guessing game. You will also have good reasons for choosing one over the rest, of course. You need to know the goal and objectives of the project, the team and their profiles and level of experience and expertise, the roadmap, etc. If you really want to know whether a new project's token will meet 10x later or not, you will study the project. The whitepaper is a good material to start. You also need to know whether the project has certain connections with popular names in the business industry.
Yes, those are the things one has to know if they want to look for projects that have the potential to grow like 10x.

You'll have to be active in those matters and it's just a summarization of what I've said about the team is active. But a lot of good points have been said about the connection in the field that they're working on.

Being in the crypto market, certain connections really make a project worthy and increasing its worthiness as per observation.

I currently have no position in any of these cryptos at the time of this posting, but news about BNB, MANA, WINK, and Singularity at 1000 percent growth change my point of view in the future.

Better to start late than never at all! SO last week, I bought some more ADA, ETH, and Blocknet.
Then good luck with all of your positions. But the latter has a flat curve on its chart.
3167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Burning cryptocurrency. on: April 12, 2021, 11:16:35 AM
Although it's not a literal meaning for cryptocurrencies, the logic is the same as totally wiping out a specific crypto's supply to lessen the circulating supply of that altcoin.

Speaking of burning, my heart aches each time I look at BNB. That thing has shot up by over 100 USD in just 2 days!
Me either.

Take note that it's not yet burned but the price keeps on shooting it up. I'm not shilling it but I'm thinking that it can go for more as it approaches and more after it burns.
3168  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are you doing when you make your way down? on: April 12, 2021, 10:19:39 AM
Won't do both of it, options and futures. I'm not good with those so I won't have the guts to gamble my gamble with any of those. It's interesting to see people earning a lot from those and I'm totally good at watching them but don't have to try it to myself.

I'd still go on holding it because I've proven it to be effective. A slow but sure and lesser risk that I have to deal with. And if I sell at high maybe next year then I'll diversify it to other investments outside crypto.
3169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My crypto journey so far on: April 11, 2021, 11:03:33 PM
IMHO, the majority of us got almost the same story how we endured the pain of the bear market and how painful it was to watch our portfolio's going lower in terms of their value in USD.

One thing I've learned, it's okay to diversify but it would give you a better standing to the market if you've got more bitcoins than your altcoins. But it's all how you will handle your portfolio and the strategy that you'll built as you hold, add/buy and sell.
3170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoins shall I NOT Buy and Why? on: April 11, 2021, 10:06:15 PM
I would avoid most of them and would likely to focus on the coins that are on the trend even if they're still old coins. Like at the top coins, Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB.
That is my response too, i will avoid all the coins mentioned by the OP and i would avoid BNB as well. CZ is a known manipulator and now things are in his play ground because ETH messed up big time and the developers are scrambling to scale the product and the developers are sick of the large transaction charges and so people are shifting to BSC but we have to wait and see how long it will go.
It's okay if you don't like BNB but as a trader or short-term investor, you should look at it that you can also take profit while others are enjoying it. They're about to do the burning of it and that's probably one of the reasons why it has gotten up to $500.

That's why many have regret that they didn't buy it when it was like $17 or $20 or $50 because there's not that much action on it. And with the movement that it has made, it's just a quick cycle that has made it to the peak.

I'm also counting on ETH once the news about upgrade comes, it will bring hype to everyone.
3171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to read whale alerts? on: April 11, 2021, 09:05:07 PM
you think the price will go up ? but others think the price will fall down because a whale is trying to sell .
its hard to tell if who is correct because the price can move randomly but dont mind them but mind your own business because you know if whats good for you .
it was your money not theirs .
And that's how manipulation works from the whales. They can easily fake their actions as if they're really about to sell but just moved it to that exchange for them to make something for the market to move it the way they like it such as pushing it down.

But it is true that it's very hard to tell what shall be next with those actions. In my experience, a few years ago they matter a lot. And everyone rides those FUD that when a whale transfers, the everyone sells but just as today when someone sends a huge amount to an exchange, everybody awaits for it to plunge to buy those sold bitcoins.
3172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does knowing your sport and teams really make you better at betting on them? on: April 10, 2021, 11:49:25 PM
You should tend to know everything so that you would able to benefit it out and able to know on what would be your next step on making your bets.

You would be basing up on what you do have accumulated news towards the team that you do favor and same goes with the opponent. You can make out some comparison on whose have the advantage

and whose is on the losing side.It might not be precise as always because there are really factors that could really affect winning probability and also even if the winning chance is high
but try to check if the odds is really worth of the risk.
Yes, the others want an assurance that they have to win every bet they'll do but that's not how it goes. Getting higher chance to win depends on how you'll do your research and effort upon researching and getting all of those news related to the game that you'll be getting on.

With sports betting information plays a big role, because a team on a whole through its combined effort makes a win. Among that specific position will be played good by particular players. Absence/rest/injury of that player will make changes on the outcome. By this time the alternate takes the position, if we're well aware about the alternate players performance we can go with the team or else wait and Betting in between the game seems to be good choice.
All of those necessary information if you are going to compile them and reliant on those, that will make you feel better for every game that you're going to bet. Because you're prepared with team has the better chance and has the upperhand.

If you had $1000, which ones would you avoid?
I would avoid most of them and would likely to focus on the coins that are on the trend even if they're still old coins. Like at the top coins, Bitcoin, Ethereum and BNB.

I think that if I'm into short term, these coins can still be relied on because they've been making the market go crazy as BNB goes to 3rd and as usual the two other coins have always been at the top.
Instead of investing in them, l prefer also focusing on other projects as you mentioned. Coins which on the trend are the best choices and l think you have more chance by investing in older projects than in the new projects. That is why new projects can get shit so easily in the future, but older projects are most trusted. That doesn't mean every new project is bad or something else. However overall there is not any potential new project for me, and so risky to invest in them.
With the lot of new projects that are coming out lately, you really have to be wise choosing with any of them but it's still the best idea to get with those projects that have been existing already. You don't have to think of it and analyze a lot but only to look at the charts and think when is the best time to buy and sell.

What's even more scary with new projects is the hype that it creates.
3174  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When is the end of the bull run? on: April 10, 2021, 10:07:27 PM
I wish I know when, maybe then I will be prepared but this year bullrun just seem more stronger than anything I've ever  seen happened to crypto, I'm confident that this bullrun will last through out this year because the growth and exposure is getting bigger and bigger everyday, be smart and take advantages
Most of the speculations that you might see everywhere not only in the forum says that this bull run can last up to 2022.

@OP you should be meticulous in choosing the influencers you watch. They could be your life saver and source of information but they could also be the source of your panic with what they release to their channels.
3175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does knowing your sport and teams really make you better at betting on them? on: April 10, 2021, 09:17:41 PM
I think we can safely say that knowing teams you play for or against helps a lot. Considering football, you are gonna be sure who will be on pitch and who won't be. You know which players are in good shape. You will know tactics managers regularly use. Guessing score will be lot more easier.
It does.

You know that those teams you're looking at with your knowledge in that sport really help you with what teams to bet on. But it's not enough if you want to have that safety that you've mentioned because there will always be those changes and news.

If a good news that comes to the team that's about to have their game, you understand that the odds changes and favor is on them.

Whether there is changes or none, it would still not guarantee you a win because sports is also a game of chance. Upset is possible, your team looks healthy and they are in a winning streak but suddenly they loss against a bad team, that could happen as its normal in sports.

Sports betting means betting on chances, favorites has higher chances but with these betting odds (handicap or point spread) in place, it will not be easy for us to decide. Of coruse you can go with ML but favorites only has small odds.
Yes, I agree that there's no guarantee that you will win. But the factor of knowing if there are changes is that you'll get to have the advantage and it can help you make a wise decision upon betting.

Like if your favorite team is about to have match and there's a news about injury or their greatest player won't play, that will help you determine that they have a lower chance to win and in that case, you'll bet in the opposing team which increases your chance to win.

I'm not interested with such fairs if I don't know what's in it. But with the payment method, I might try to pay them with a few bits that they'll be requiring as an entry for this trade fair.

After looking for some websites that are dealing with the payment method related to the canton fair, I haven't seen one that accepts bitcoin. They're accepting bank deposits and other fiat payment processors, no crypto/bitcoin.

3180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying and selling of bitcoin on: April 05, 2021, 11:09:43 PM
Most of these  companies which serves as middle men in the bitcoin transactions charges with respect to the time of delivery.
They don't really serve as middle men, they're like us who purchases and hold bitcoin and sell it for those people who are interested. But the thing is different with them, it's a business for them that they can continue with a huge capital that flows into their company.

Delivery time can be subjected to hours, days or even months as the charges lowers with longer time frame to be delivered.
I guess what you mean by delivery time is the confirmation time. And AFAIK, if the transaction is "delivered" or delayed by months, it will be dropped and will return to the owner. The logic about fees, when you pay priority fee or high, confirmation time is quicker.
