3181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Any new ICO Whitelist registration? on: February 24, 2018, 07:53:14 PM
I missed a lot of (good) ICOs because I was not KYC/Whitelisted. This taught me one thing which is to get whitelisted with any ICO first then I decide whether I want to participate in the ICO or want to pass.

It impossible for everyone to look everyday on new threads for ICO registration date. To help the community please write the ICO info in here when you see any upcoming ICO registration. We may not miss a GOOD ICO again.
3182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you trading ALTs? on: February 24, 2018, 07:22:47 PM
This is one of the post I made long ago. Additional to this I have added more alts in my portfolio.

On 10th I bought these coins...

QLC             665.39235960        spent 0.04669735 BTC now value 0.02208817
DBC           3489.01913490        spent 0.11399558 BTC    now value 0.04789097
UTK             999.14623990          spent 0.07351075 BTC now value 0.04367548
TRX         11704.11100000        spent  0.11480700 BTC now value 0.07415842
VTC              43.46405229          spent 0.01995629 BTC now value 0.01713204
MUSIC      6321.99316783          spent 0.04531524 BTC now value 0.02180519

If you notice in all these coins I am in HUGE lose. I am holding this of course. Coz I would never sell my coins in lose. I did in past but learnt my lessons.

How do you handle when you are in my situation.
3183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [Update] What up with your ALTs since early Jan to March 25th (Till now) on: February 24, 2018, 06:59:32 PM
From early Jan to till now I would like to know how is your crypto currency trading going on? To me, market is not stable. I bought lot's of ALTs and all of them are down. Some of them are even over 70% down. How are things going on with you too?

Appreciate sharing your experience.

Thanks

My follow up question (today March 25th), please click to open.
3184  Other / Meta / Re: Would you join this Merit Survey? on: February 24, 2018, 05:56:45 PM
I choose sad. because the real newbie didn't know about bitcoin and how to earn profitable income in this forum. how can they join in bounties if they're not rank up. is it hard to them to create a debatable post and quality opinions to get merit.

Actually it's not the way you are thinking. Having a newbie rank on this forum does not mean that the person can not port quality post. The person may be new in here but he might know more about crypto world than some of the higher ranked members.
3185  Other / Meta / Bad language, can we make it a better place? on: February 24, 2018, 05:41:54 PM
I am not sure if it bothers only me or you all too, some members in the forum think they are somehow superior than you and do not hesitate to use offensive language. I feel like....

Here are some examples...
so people, stop bitching and contribute..

Your bitching about the merit system is played out.

why dont mods do nothing for these clowns?

Right this isnt 100% Meta, but as this is where the most bitching is done about the system I am posting here..
.
.
.
Please use this as a reference for any more bitching and moaning, tell people to step up the game to be more like nullius...

These are just some examples I was able to bring up for you real quick. I will update this post with more threads with offensive language so that these members start learning that people do get offended by their language and it needs to be fixed. Can we behave and respect others to make this forum a better place?

PS: Feel free to comment here with the link of any thread that was offensive for you.

I hope the authority will find those posts and take any necessary steps to stop it if they think they need to.
3186  Other / Meta / Re: Would you join this Merit Survey? on: February 23, 2018, 09:02:08 AM
Why are you suggesting an answer for us? Why do have one "happy" answer and 3 or 4 "not happy" answers? Your survey is incredibly bias. Your bitching about the merit system is played out.

And your suggested response has a double negative... in it so you're actually saying that you're said because some posts are not merited.

Quote
[Suggested] Happy and sad - Happy coz shit posters are not just posting for rank up and Sad coz  not all the good posts are not merited, limited merit source etc.
- Just realised when I quoted "Suggested" it actually giving an impression that I am suggesting the viewers to vote for this. I am really sorry. Just going to change it something like "User's choice, if you have your own choice then please leave it in the comment section". Thank you for this.

Have your read the options are tried to figure out the possible logical options for the answers? I'm sure you have not. It's not about how many happy and how many sad words on the post rather it's about thinking the logical answers. If you still can't figure out then at-least don't say something which is not. By the way I hope you learn using language. We are no slam here.

A poll that suggests what people should vote? What's the purpose of this thread then?  Roll Eyes

The purpose is to see whether your stand is right or not. We human has a natural instinct which is when we decide or choose anything then we tend to believe that this is 100% true/right. We forget that five fingers are not same.

100 people has more than one opinion. Something is right for you does not mean the other one is wrong. In a community if i decide what is right or wrong then I am deciding considering my interest (nobody is above their own interest not even the angels, angels are doing all this good work because they want to make their GOD happy, which is an interest). I believe when it comes to a collective of people than we should back up the higher percent's.

In this forum the reality is not (may be) what the mass says on this post however as a community we can see what the majority thinks.  Hope it make sense for the purpose.
3188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you be worried? on: February 22, 2018, 05:07:27 PM
I hope you guys are not worried about the price drop of BTC. It is completely normal. ......................
Thanks and I feel more comfortable now with the words.

You are welcome. I hope more and more people feel the same for their investments.
3189  Other / Meta / Would you join this Merit Survey? on: February 22, 2018, 04:34:11 PM
Since Jan 25th we have this new merit system to credit the quality posts on this forum. No doubt that merit system is going to stay here for long time. It's been around a month and I have seen different feedback from different members but collectively I have not seen a feedback from a group yet. I am not even sure if anyone on this forum have ever done this yet or not. So, this is my little initiation to learn really where we are with merit system. As a community what is our emotional stand for this.

Please select an answer that goes closer to your emotional stand from the above. To view the result please press the "Submit Vote" button.

PS: If you select option 5 then please make a comment for your customised feedback, I will try to add the feedback on the pool with "User's choice" option. I wish I was more creative to bring up more options for you.

Shouldn't be my work gives me credit?
Posting on forum = Work?  Grin
Would you please stop spamming my topic?
Seriously?
Is this what you found from my comments on your post?

Just because I did not like what you are doing does not mean you start sounding cheesy. Please be constructive on your replies and show some respect to others. Also please do some study to learn what makes things spammy. Surely you did not like what I said because it went against your psychology and you could not accept it and started shit-talking. May be you are senior than me on this forum in ranking but I am sure there are other stuffs which I know better than you. I know what I am talking about. So please be careful before you act.
3192  Other / Meta / Re: Anti-spam Merit Giveaway - For Junior Members Only - updated on: February 03, 2018, 06:25:20 PM
I do not think this is how the merit system should work. Literally you are saying that you are favouring someone who do not have merits to rank up. I am fairly new to this community. Since I joined I fall in love with this community and doing my best to devote my time to help the community. I am making posts, commenting on others posts, assisting someone who needs help, long story short doing everything from my limit. BUT I personally find this merit system is not working. I mean why do I need to get your attention to have merits? Shouldn't be my work gives me credit? I am not saying you are doing wrong thing. You are also doing your best. Who has time to search for good post and send merits. So what you are doing is calling out people to take merits from you.

Do you see the points I am trying to make?

I should be discovered by my work here and get merits as credit but I am here to make myself visible to get merits even though I am very much active in this forum and constantly giving my true contribution to the community.

Hope you have time to see my profile and find few of my (constructive!!!) post and then have a second thought.

I really feel merits giveaway humiliates us, like we trying to beg for some merits

so, if you rich people hold your merits and trusted by the bitcoin talk forum. please make a role model right now and you guys make good enough posts first to change the situation.

you should know your responsibility, please stop teasing and judging poor people, we are not your entertainment, this is not a class, you are not our teacher, we don't need your grade to graduate from university.

I saw a legendary said that he don't understand about the hate, so anyone has the same question. you should read my post carefully .

and don't say bad words to me just because my post cannot please you.

THIS IS AN OPEN FORUM AND EVERYONE IS WATCHING!!

Mate I back you up 100% this merit giveaway things are like humiliations for us. It's not helping everyone to stay on the same page. May be the merit system needs to be improved. May be it's a wrong thing to give a lot of merits to the higher ranked members out of the air. May be they needed to earn it like us having a small ranked account. May be they needed to start over and needed to see how hard it would be to get merits for the sake of getting raked up.

I am not trying to offend anyone. There are members I saw posted 1000s of comments, if you are with this forum from years then having 1000s of comments should be normal. Look at me... not even two months ( December 14, 2017, 03:18:19 PM ) but have posted over 220 post. And yes I am not making all shitposts (Yes there are some but the number might be less than 5%). The way I am contributing to this community I guess if it goes like this way then after a year I should have more than over 1200 posts! Am I not doing much better than some of the high ranked members who had 100s of merits but still the way you are treating us (giving away merit) is like humiliating us.
3193  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system working? Really! on: February 03, 2018, 02:38:07 PM
Learn and assist others. The merit thing seems to make us forget the fact that we are here to develop ourselves personally and help others in our little way. Merit or no merit, do your best for the community.

I am not forgetting this fact of developing personally and helping others, learning and assisting. I know what should be my role and I am doing my best. If you go through my profile and posts then it should be clear. Do you think I am posting shitpost?

For me this forum is to hangout with the community and yes of-course get some personal benefits as well. A better rank give me better benefit. Don't you think having a better rank is helping you to do some bounty work (like this https://prnt.sc/i9kt0z ) here or whatever you expect to get benefit from?

People still need more time to get used to with this merit system and also people who are higher ranked they need some responsibilities for the new members.
3194  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system working? Really! on: February 03, 2018, 02:29:11 PM
I'm new here . Can someone show me the merit system earlier look like ? And for now , which element do I need when writing post/comment to get merits ? English is not my native language , so it's a little bit harder to write a quality post/comment .

Earlier there were no merit system. To get idea about Merit please go through this post. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0
3195  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 03, 2018, 11:42:55 AM

If you want to be a merit source:

 1. Be a somewhat established member.

What about me. Do you think I am somewhat an established members posting over 200+ post with some really quality (in my opinion) posts...

There are many more... I guess I can not because I am just a Jr. Member. https://prnt.sc/i9j68c
3196  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system working? Really! on: February 03, 2018, 11:16:35 AM
You got 8 merit points as shown in profile. You should have got 4 sMerits for that. You will keep getting more as your quality posts are appreciated.

When I have available sMerits I do giveaway them to someone who deserve it. Today I received two merits which allowed me to send an sMerit and before I saw your post I already sent it to someone who I think deserve it. https://prnt.sc/i9iwh9
3197  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system working? Really! on: February 03, 2018, 11:14:24 AM
Always support the strong , give merit to the legendary , hero member. You have to impress them. I think weak account will suffer like this.

I don't know how many years will need to get one merit. May be you are better to get those 6. But I have seen many account getting merit for nothing (strong account)

Like it quoted "yes absolutely right " - get merited for this line. I have written 600 word article but none have given me that one merit.

I am just fade up of the system. I know you will give suggestion to write good article. And I will say thank you, I will try.

Just sent you a merit on your way. It will be hard and you have to fight for your right. And so m i doing. The reason I gave you this merit not only for this post but also all these contribution you did to this community. you have over 100 comments made and I see that's a hard work.
3198  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system working? Really! on: February 03, 2018, 11:10:34 AM
Let me ask you what are you here for anyway?
I'll answer that: Signature campaigns. Bounties. Shitposting. That's why the merit system isn't working for him/her. Smiley

Your answer is here
Honestly I am not only hear for reading, posting and contributing I also want to take some benefit for my personal gain from this community. I want to have the benefit not forgetting my  roles to the community as well.

Do you think you are 100% correct on finding my reason?

It's him by the way.

3199  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system working? Really! on: February 03, 2018, 11:05:52 AM
Let me ask you what are you here for anyway? If you are only here to read, post and contribute to the community do not mind the new merit system since you will rank up eventually when your merits have accumulated. Don't think of it as injustice, to motivate yourself, just think of it as a challenge because by the time you get into higher ranks, you can call yourself worthy to be in that rank since by that time you have contributed a lot of useful post to the community.

Honestly I am not only hear for reading, posting and contributing I also want to take some benefit for my personal gain from this community. I want to have the benefit not forgetting my  roles to the community as well.
3200  Other / Meta / Re: Merit system working? Really! on: February 03, 2018, 10:24:49 AM

Actually I did.
"1. Be a somewhat established member."

Do you think I have it? It all down to not having enough rank. Come on mate look how many post I made.... Over 200!!!! I am a member since not even a month. I can guarantee you that you will not find much creepy posts from me. (yes may be there will be some here and there but most of them are way better than others.)

Please do not question me about what I have not done. I am doing a lot for this forum since I have been introduced to it.
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to offend you. But it still seems to me that you’re not giving the merit system much benefit of doubt. I’m certainly going to apply as soon as I have a good enough list of posts to present.

And in any case, we’re all allowed to use this very useful forum for free. Everyone can read and everyone can post. That’s actually all that’s needed to usefully participate here, no? Of course it’s also nice to rank up and be able to give out merits, but are those things really important enough to warrant all the complaining we’ve seen here this week (I don’t mean you, but in general)?

It's ok mate. I am just too much over me today. I do support this merit system, I did talk in it's favour (see few of my post from my profile) but seems like merit system is really not working well especially for the new members who need it to rank up.
