I'll look in to Anonibet some more.

Anonibet didn't scam anyone. They were all long time players at Anonibet. I looked into it.
In support of Jaybird, Nitrogen, Anonibet and Bitcoinlive bets were number 1,2 and 3 in poster votes until the recent allegations and stiff job by bitcoinlivebets. Peepsplace had bitcoinlivebets D- and predicted them to go under.
I've decided to leave your thread as it's intention was for DirectBet although you diverted the thread with your inane poll.
|
|
|
Here's what DirectBet posts in my thread. Then he puts links to his thread. There are people who rate Bitcoin Sportbooks, and there are people who rate the people that rate Bitcoin Sportbooks. 71% think that Peeps Place does not have the creditability to rate Bitcoin Sportbooks because he is getting paid by Anonibet to rate them on top regardless of public opinion. What do you think ? Come and vote in our thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=393147.1400

bosmarie If you dont like Directbet then don't F***ing use it.. I'm tired reading your nuisance comment on DirectBet Thread, why dont you make your own thread.. I have a thread. DirectBet posts a lot of garbage in my thread daily. I played at DirectBet approximately one day per month if that.

DirectBet- If you take a look at the live lines at Betcoinsports, the layout is much better.
The bets that you complained about were not offered by Betcoinsports AT ALL. It doesn't matter how convenience it is to place bets there if there are no bets to place ! I don't mind the poll at all even if it is misguided with the wording that is used by DirectBet since he is wrong about business relationships.
Why is it misguided ? You admitted that certain books pay you to advertise and promote them. Currently two Bitcoin Sportbooks are advertising at www.PeepsPlace.com and they "happen" to be rated the top 2 in your ratings guide. So how is our poll question misguiding ? How would you like us to rephrase the question in the poll ? The ratings here at bitcointalk are not affected by by business relationships.
Currently, 73% thinks that your ratings are biased. The ratings come out. Then I give the ratings to Reagan. He then in turn makes a decision on what banners that he would accept to be up at peepsplace.com. Of course the top books are going to be the ones that are asked to advertise. When a book wants a banner up at peepsplace then we try to convert cash players to bitcoin players. We also go to other cash forums and post in promotional threads. We will do interviews if asked and have articles published for advertising books. This has nothing to do with bitcointalk. Everyone here is already playing with bitcoins. We go after the cash players where the market is untapped. I'm just a power poster that posts at many forums. I like this community here at bitcointalk and try to add to it.

DirectBet- If you take a look at the live lines at Betcoinsports, the layout is much better. There is a box around all offerings that change red/green depending on if the line goes up or down. One click and you get quick confirmation if the bet is accepted.
You almost have to jump through hoops to make a bet at DirectBet. Hit the game, place an order, copy/paste address. Put it in the wallet and send. Then you aren't guaranteed that the bet will be accepted and it's held by you if you use firm odds and there is any delay between the player's wallet and your wallet.

bitbook.biz was the most reputable sportbook before it was targeted by DDOS.
They gave everyone time to withdraw funds, before they closed down for good.
Just wanted to correct that piece of misinformation.
Yes, I did mention in my post that Bitbook paid out its users for several days after closing. However, they too did not pay out everyone because they only allowed a short window of a few days to get paid. If you search the archive of Bitcointalk you will find reports of users that were not paid, simply because they did not visit the Bitbook thread during the few days closure period and were not aware of it. They allowed a 7 day window that was expanded to 10 days if I remember correctly. Yes, good reason not to use those site that require an account and deposit into the site. Hence, now we can all agree- DirectBet is the #1 crypto-Sportsbook on the market. I'm not trying to prevent anyone from playing at DirectBet. Currently on the TB/Minn game, the odds are -1428/+310. I can't recommend a book with these type of holds. Other games: -1428/+310 -900/+265 -1111/+360 -5000/+950 -434/+166

We at DirectBet sympathies with those of you who apparently lost their deposits and investments with the disappearance of BitcoinLiveBets.com
To date, there hasn't been a single cryptocurrency Sportsbook that we are aware of, which ceased operation gracefully and honored all withdrawal requests.
All the Bitcoin Sportsbooks that were closed in the past, with no exceptions, ran away with users deposits, and every time that happened, it hampered the reputation of the Bitcoin sports betting industry as a whole. (Note : Bitbook did pay out its users for several days after closing, but not all of them).
The purpose of this post is not to spread salt on the wounds of those affected but rather to raise the point that in today's new virtual currency era, there is absolutely no need for a Sportsbook to take deposits and hold your coins while they are not being wagered.
The "My Account" -> "Deposit" type of wagering belongs to the 90s.
Today, you can bet with your coins and keep them safe in your wallet under your control while they are not in a wager.
No longer do you need to park your valuable coins on 3rd party websites and hope that they will be there when you need them.
Taking deposits is a much better method for players than with what is currently being used by DirectBet. Bit365 was a book similar to DirectBet. Bit365 went under stealing player's funds. They were a non-deposit book. The biggest downfall with using a non-deposit book is that you are at the mercy of transfer time between your wallet and DirectBet. Bets can be held for hours, using the worst case scenario, with a non-deposit book. During this time you do not know if you have a bet or not. If you use "firm odds", there is no way to cancel your wager. With deposit books, you get close immediate responses. There is also never a need to keep a huge balance in a bitcoin deposit book. After winning a wager you can take the winnings and put it back in your wallet after a win. One advantage that DirectBet has is if you aren't funded with another book. The only other advantage is that they have many live wagering events albeit odds with outrageous theoretical holds.

Nitrogen puts up horse racing odds in the big horse racing events. BetOWI gives a 7% rebate on horse racing. You can play with bitcoins at BetOWI. They convert bitcoins to US dollars.
How do you set your horse racing odds? I need to know that to give you an accurate assessment.

What Benjig said. Nitrogen is the best for what they put up. BetOwi now accepts Bitcoins. They put up most tracks and are much better than DirectBet for horses since DirectBet tacks on a lot of vig.
I just visited Nitrogen website but didn't find any horse race to bet on. You announced in the past that you are getting paid by Nitrogen to advertise and promote them in forums, and that's all right, but here there is nothing to promote, your employer is not currently offering any horse races ! We offer horse racing betting 24/7 around the globe and with competitive odds. Please submit a proof that BetOwi offers greater odds than DirectBet otherwise it will be considered a baseless attempt to discredit a competitor. DirectBet- Your accusations are outlandish since no books pay me to post at bitcointalk and you are well aware of this. BetOWI offers a 7% rebate on their horse wagering. You seem to charge the players an extra 5% to the book that you are cloning your lines from for horse racing. If this is untrue, then please tell me how you set your lines since I like to research all books. Thanks .

I had a similar experience. I placed a bet, then I went to the status and it said that the odds had changed and the bet wasn't accepted. The next day I checked and DirectBet counted it as a loser. They showed me that the bet was accepted 7 minutes later. I didn't know this until the next day.
Glad I'm not the only one. Did they refund the bet to you? If this is a bug in their automated software, that's fine as long as they settle it. I am not pissed yet, just disappointed. If they decide not to refund the bet, my feelings about this website will change drastically. I sent them a PM the next day and they refused to refund the bet.

Wow, DirectBet... I have to say I am very, very disappointed ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) I just created a toto parlay and sent in the BTC. Right after I sent the BTC I refreshed the page and it said that it was closed and that no more bets could be made. I was sad, but it was fine because I would just get the refund. It has happened before (when the bet would have won - I wasn't pissed because too late is too late and I should not have won). Ten seconds after I sent the money one of the bets on my parlay lost, and I refreshed again just to make sure. I was happy that my bet would get cancelled and that I would get a refund... after the refresh all of a sudden it said that my money was received and that the bet was open again. I feel cheated out of the money. If the toto was already closed, it should not have accepted my money AFTER the parlay already lost. I've had this happen with winning parlays before and then the bet remained CLOSED (which, as I said, was fine because I was too late. But now that it's a losing parlay you open the bet back up again? Wow...) I have done business with you before, but this is unacceptable in my eyes. I really hope that you guys will solve this in a timely and professional matter. If there was some mistake that is fine, but the fact that my bet went from 'Closed' back to 'Open' right after my parlay lost is extremely sketchy and disappointing in my eyes. Where do we go from here? I had a similar experience. I placed a bet, then I went to the status and it said that the odds had changed and the bet wasn't accepted. The next day I checked and DirectBet counted it as a loser. They showed me that the bet was accepted 7 minutes after my bet had been placed. I didn't know this until the next day. I hope that you have better luck than I did trying to rectify the situation.

1. Anonibet told me that I can take them off the ratings here at Bitcointalk. I decided it was unfair to allow DirectBet to dictate the rules here and left them up. Dear Peepsplace,
I stated on the first post I have posted here on your thread that as Anonibet we do not want to make any comment or post anything. Unless a question was directly asked to us, we do not interfere in your discussions. As we said before, we prefer the thread being used by player for players.
Please do NOT DEFEND OR MENTION ANONIBET in any of your post. If you wish you can delete us from your rating list. We do not want to be part of a discussion with any bookmaker. We have been present since 2011, and this is the best response we can give to anyone.
2. Anonibet has a huge player base outside of bitcointalk. It's my feeling that they are the only book not surviving on bitcointalk and continue to expand their player base. ANONIBET.COM IS HIRING ANONIBET is looking for Area or Country Marketing Managers for the following regions: Latin America (Spanish and Portuguese) Russia (Russian) Scandinavia (Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian) Asian (all languages except Chinese) Required skills: • Bitcoin enthusiasts with online marketing experiences in their respective countries. • Ability to promote Bitcoin and Anonibet • Ability to contact local Bitcoin communities and establish partnership • Online gambling experience is a plus Please do NOT post any question to the forum. No answer will be given via the forum. Please email your CV directly to michael.hoshford@anonibet.com with a short cover letter stating what you can achieve in the country or area you are applying for. 3. With the contest, I talked with two people from Anonibet. There is absolutely no way in the world that the winner wasn't legitimate.

No one is going to agree with the ratings. They are just a guide. The ratings go up and then the top books are asked to advertise at peepsplace.com where we try to convert cash players to bitcoin players. Peepsplace.com and bitcointalk are separate entities. Peepsplace.com has turned down advertising from many bad books.

But you still give Anonibet with A rate?? Anonibet's rating is in line with other sportsbook rating sites. They were the No.2 book with Ryan's poster vote here at bitcointalk until contest allegations. DirectBet was very low in Ryan's ratings until DirectBet sent in a team of shills that all rated 5 out of 5 to boost DirectBet's ratings.

DirectBet, Then you are a two man operation. You have never denied this in the past. Why now?

StakeBTC went under running with player's funds. Here was the review. StakeBTC opened to forum members on January 18, 2014, although they have been open to a private group for a longer time. StakeBTC has a maximum bet of 30 BTC and many seem to play with StakeBTC for this reason. Others advertise higher limits but rarely is it available. There are a lot of good things about StakeBTC that I don't even want to mention at this time because of one point. When a sports book offers a 100% bonus with a 2x rollover, that's a huge red flag. The only thing keeping StakeBTC from being a "F", because of that bonus, is that they haven't had one complaint as far as payouts. StakeBTC opens at "D".

Here was the warning on bitcoinlivebets. Ryan had them ranked as the 3rd highest book at the time. bitcoinlivebets is a very shaky book. They have problems on almost a daily basis and automation is never fully working. Each person has different reasons for playing at a book. I think that bitcoinlivebets is at the top of the list of the next book to go under although I hope it's not the case.
