There's a few problems with this:

1) Non English speakers. Ignoring them or telling them to learn English is not a solution.

2) Not everyone is here to trade.

3) If this was the first time I have heard of Bitcoin, I am not going to spend 15 minutes or so doing a reading comprehension test.

Do some A/B testing - I would be very surprised if you don't cut userbase growth by at least 80%.
3182  Other / Meta / Re: New Idea: Newbie test on: June 20, 2013, 10:10:01 AM
What would the test be? Not everyone here is on the forum to trade. Some want to learn more about how Bitcoin works. Some just wants to post a question on SatoshiDICE's thread. etc etc.

Just a quick note, we've raised our CD interest rates by 20 percentage points!

Just kidding Wink
3184  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Garr255/Werner - Auction shilling on: June 20, 2013, 10:02:13 AM
The mods do not need to remote control someone's computer or look at ELA of screenshots, theymos needs to just simply look for the deleted post.

Seriously, please investigate, there should be consequences for shill bidding or faking screenshots.
3185  Economy / Services / Re: Free bitcoins (up to 0.25BTC/mo): Advertise these links in your sig! on: June 20, 2013, 09:49:12 AM
So how is this going to work with this new "Activity" system?
Stays the same.
3186  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does the NSA know who Satoshi is? on: June 20, 2013, 09:03:48 AM
NSA paper, 1996: "How To Make A Mint: The Cryptography of Anonymous Electronic Cash". One referenced crypto expert is named Tatsuaki Okamoto.

He blind hacked it in minutes without source access, so I am offering the bounty for the same thing.

What? You know that you pay 0.05 BTC regardless, so why not make it faster by (privately) releasing the source?

Also, check access logs.

And in fact THIS is the Werner post with that timestamp (17:57:32):

Sloppy work there Inaba!

Wait I think I heard my microwave bell... brb popcorn is ready!

I ran the screenshot from Inaba through fotoforensics.com
http://fotoforensics.com/analysis.php?id=920e738915e00c0dda24bc1fc373b24e59f1f704.238213

I leave as an exercise for the reader to interpret the results.  Grin

Error level analysis is useless for screenshots. If you're going to fake a screenshot, you use Inspect Element, not resaving the same image with Photoshop.

Yay, I finally win Cheesy

A once-off bonus (not proportional) would just give an advantage to people who use a lot of different addresses and claim it on each wallet. For the repeat better bonus to be practical, you really need to automate it.
3193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice : FREE BTC : Play or Invest on: June 20, 2013, 06:45:55 AM
Does your invested amount update in (near) real time as bets are made, or are they tallied once a day or so?
3194  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders :: Get bitcoin loans, and earn interest on your deposits! on: June 20, 2013, 06:44:30 AM

Settle down settle down, remember that as recently as May 9, 2013... 0.01108519/share was considered stellar performance... Today's dividend is 63% higher than that of May 9th.
remember that back in may 9th it was trading at 1.5 BTC. not 2.8 BTC.
