Settle down settle down, remember that as recently as May 9, 2013... 0.01108519/share was considered stellar performance... Today's dividend is 63% higher than that of May 9th.
remember that back in may 9th it was trading at 1.5 BTC. not 2.8 BTC.

It was all but known that the div was going to be significantly lower this week. No blade sales, slowing USB sales, hashrate dropped off. Wishful thinking that the dropping hash would INCREASE the div.
Insane that people are selling now.
I sold 60% of what I had at 2.85, judging how dumb people are, will probably be able to pick up some shares at a nice discount this week.

This will be one of those weeks when the informed profit at the expense of the clueless. I'm pretty much happy to buy-hold-reinvest as it suits my personality, but good luck to those of you who 'chip-up' this week.

you might be able to do that again... Stop with the FUD. If you didn't know that dividends would drop without blades to sell, you haven't really been paying attention.

I think it is unfair to classify people as stupid when they choose a course of action that conflicts with your own analysis. It is a very very thin line between smart and lucky. It is a problem in temporal perception.
If the future rewards your actions, you are a genius. If it punishes you, it was just bad luck.
The capacity for self-deception and rationalization by humans knows no bounds.
Personally, I am sticking around, and may add to holdings. But the results will in no way determine my intelligence, just my penchant for rolling the dice.

1290 BTC in hardware sales is equivalent to around 650 USB sticks. Seems like sales are still pretty strong.
Hope friedcat will give us an update this week, and that he comments on (1) cause for this weeks drop in hash rate, (2) ETA on both parts of the 200TH order, (3) further orders planned of current-gen chips, and (4) the news about the distributor in China.
Just curious...

yep, we should definitely be informed about these things anyway it seems to me that some of the "investors" here are like kids and they start panicking at a slightly lower dividend. I mean everybody knew that the dividends are going to be lower this week. Alright, the speculator weak hands will shake and we can get cheaper shares...

it might not be such a bad thing that btctc is not fully responsive. It might limit "panic selling" and thus (imho) a big mistake of the young and naive. I know some of you are just waiting at the bottom (wherever that might be) to happily pick up the shares being sold right now and I would do the same if my btc were not all tied up right now
