....
Would you be surprised if you learned that Satoshi actually worked for the NSA? I know i wouldn't. It doesn't mean anything, except more brilliant people working there. The NSA has directly contributed to the open source community before.....

In code we trust. That's why we like Bitcoin Smiley

People have many more dimensions than who was one past employer.

Cryptography becoming something half-way understood by the average of the more skilled computer users is a relatively new thing, after all.

Also, it may be of interest. Although the past several years has implicated those persons heading the CIA and the FBI in attempting to bring down the Trump presidency, we have not seen any such thing with the NSA. You have the Snowden disclosures, true.

But not outright political corruption.
3182  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why so many people say "Muslims are terrorists" Should we say that? on: May 05, 2019, 05:58:21 PM
Unfortunately, the radical Muslim tends to do some unnecessary doings just to promote in the Name of Allah.
But I think this happen to all religions also, there are cult which they thought that they follow the right way base on should we say bible or any scriptures. This terrorist group are the radical Muslims  in which they interpreted Quran differently. Its all about the interpretations.

I agree with you.
Holy books or religions are not good or bad by itself.
People are the ones who interpret the meaning of holy books and people influence others to do good or evil.....

Yes, they certainly can be good or bad by themselves. For example, a "holy book" that had an important clause which could be "interpreted differently" would not be quite so holy, would it?

Those terrorists don't even care about their religion and go about killing anyone thinking they will get God's blessings. They rape, murder, torture and trade women saying that God wants them to do so and which holy book says that? ....

As I recall the 30 some pamplets/commentaries/interpretations of the Koran by the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Sayyid Qutb, say pretty much exactly that.

Qutb was the guy Bid Laden learned from and studied under.

Please don't try to create moral equivalences to rationalize this behavior.

For those, who is too lazy to open a link: many years ago YouTube stuff announced that their service will not support Internet Explorer 6 so people have to update it at least to IE 8.
It is not a secret taht Google is willing to get a complete dominance over the entire internet but who da fuck cares about the internet explorer? This is a browser, that was made just for downloading the other browsers. Anyone really cares about it?

Microsoft cares about it and would like you to.

But they don't win the shouting match vs Chrome.

Brave is on the right track.
3184  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Venezuela: Guaidó pledges end of Maduro era in militaristic video on: May 05, 2019, 12:57:11 PM
This is an interesting report, and it seems to highlight the reasons for the conflict in Venezuela.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-P6fdY-5K0w
I'm in England, so it is difficult to determine the real facts, but it does seem that the current conflict is a class war, and is aimed at oppressing the bulk of the population to protect the wealth of the elite. Guaido has been trained at the Washington College for International regime change, and he does seem to be attempting to protect the interests of the Koch brothers, rather than trying to remove the deprivation that is being imposed on the bulk of the population. Obviously Washington does not want changes started by Simon Bolivar to spread to other South American countries, but DC is destroying America by trying to impose globalist control across the world. It would be far better if they switched to the economic cooperation policies of China and Russia, and stopped relying on failed military intervention. It would also help the environment if they stopped the destruction that results from their war mongering.

I mention the activities of Washington in this post, because that is the public front for the globalist activities. I am aware that the real control comes from the supra-national empire that resulted from the creation of Cecil Rhodes and the Rothschilds, and is orchestrated through the City of London.

It's rather interesting how wrong you can manage to get things...
3185  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NK fires short range missile // escalating NK - US tensions on: May 05, 2019, 12:54:30 PM
Most likely what happens with NK is a gradual easing of tension and opening of trade and discussion, such as what happened with Russia, and completely separately with China.

Say over twenty years.

The true solution to this is creative innovation, fueled by perhaps anger at these abuses of power by those in internet monopolistic positions.

A la Satoshi, and what he created at least in part fueled by anger at governments' handling of the 2000 era financial crisis.
How do you plan on doing that vs. an enemy that is many times more armed with capital than you are?
Satoshi, one man....took on the entire world's banking system.

It's not impossible that Facebook goes the way of Myspace and Friendster.

...
Most people that got banned/removed helped Trump win the last election. I believe this is a culling for 2020.
Yes, that's correct.

And Trump understands the issue. Not the "Republican Party." Trump.

Most people on the left are mentally sick by now. Not only should these big corporations be sliced into peaces, there should be legalisation preventing this kind of nonsense (as well as hefty fines in % of total market capitalization). Facebook et. al. of today are the town square of yesterday. Don't bullshit with the "private companies" crap when there are next-to-no alternatives.

Do you hear Biden complaining and saying he will do something about this censorship? Nope.

Booker? Nope.

Pocahontas? Nope.

Any of the Dem wannabes? Nope.

Trump? Hell YES!!!!

https://www.apnews.com/4d9c8e4e4211410c87807f6cf0f5f57a

President Donald Trump criticized social media companies after Facebook banned a number of extremist figures, declaring that he was “monitoring and watching, closely!!”

Trump, who tweeted and re-tweeted complaints Friday and Saturday, said he would “monitor the censorship of AMERICAN CITIZENS on social media platforms.” He has previously asserted that social media companies exhibit bias against conservatives, something the companies have rejected as untrue.

The president’s comments came after Facebook this week banned Louis Farrakhan, Alex Jones and other extremists, saying they violated its ban on “dangerous individuals.” The company also removed right-wing personalities Paul Nehlen, Milo Yiannopoulos, Paul Joseph Watson and Laura Loomer, along with Jones’ site, Infowars, which often posts conspiracy theories. The latest bans apply both to Facebook’s main service and to Instagram and extend to fan pages and other related accounts.

Facebook’s move signaled renewed effort by the social media giant to remove people and groups promoting objectionable material such as hate, racism and anti-Semitism. The company said it has “always banned” people or groups that proclaim a violent or hateful mission or are engaged in acts of hate or violence, regardless of political ideology.

On Twitter, Trump cited a number of individuals he said were being unfairly treated by social media companies, including Watson and actor James Woods. He insisted it was “getting worse and worse for Conservatives on social media!”

Woods, one of Hollywood’s most outspoken conservatives, has had his Twitter account locked. Twitter spokeswoman Katie Rosborough said Woods will need to delete a tweet that violated Twitter rules before he can be reinstated.

Trump tweeted: “How can it be possible that James Woods (and many others), a strong but responsible Conservative Voice, is banned from Twitter? Social Media & Fake News Media, together with their partner, the Democrat Party, have no idea the problems they are causing for themselves. VERY UNFAIR!”

Rosborough said Twitter enforces its rules “impartially for all users, regardless of their background or political affiliation.”.

Expect this nonsense to continue right into the 2020 election cycle as these clowns try one more time to steal an election.
3188  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: May 04, 2019, 09:26:15 PM
^^^ You and I (average people) might talk honestly with a Jew and a Muslim. But the Muslim won't talk honestly, because he has Islam larceny in his heart. And the Jew is simply too shrewd to be honest, except when it is clearly to his advantage.

Cool

You mean like Jesus and his message, LOL
Come on come on let's all be friendly and respect each other's beliefs without mockery eh..

Why should we respect others ''beliefs'' exactly? Beliefs are based on nothing, therefore should not be respected. Should I respect muslims wanting to kill all non-muslims because it's their ''belief''?
LOL do you know that you saying you don't respect beliefs means you shouldn't expect your ideas, thoughts or beliefs to be taken seriously. I'm not saying respect the belief of killing non Muslims, but rather that of religion (instead of the mockery above) Oh and also, belief is based on everything we're living on/for)

No, the definition of belief is this:
belief
/bɪˈliːf/
noun
1.
an acceptance that something exists or is true, especially one without proof.

If you believe in something just because you want to with no proof/evidence then you are a retard and you shouldn't be respected. So you are not saying respect killing non-Muslims, why? By your logic we should respect all beliefs so why not respect that one too?

Not respecting other people and cultures' beliefs has a long, gory and illustrious history.

Seriously.

When the Romans met the Druids, they were horrified at their practices. Later, so were the Christians. Today the Druids do not exist. Thanks for that.

Similarly, pretty much all the cannibalistic cultures of the world have been either politely or by force erased.

The Mayan practice of human sacrifice is no more.

Want more? Those were all "beliefs." Beliefs are subject to critical evaluation, period.

In the present, that includes beliefs about vaccination, abortion, many other subjects.

Do you believe in NK media. I have read earlier that their state media broadcast  that their King is no earthly man and do not pass shit.
Did you believed in that shit story too?

Short range missiles are quite different than ICBMs. Rocket Boy may just be testing how far he can go before he provokes a reaction.

For example, suppose his goal was to denuclearize but perfect precision short range tactical rockets? He may think there is an export market for those.

3192  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Real Problems with American Healthcare on: May 04, 2019, 05:21:39 PM
Medicare for all can be funded with any amount of money.

It's very simple.

First, scrape off the total received funds those that are to be kept by various corrupt people and operations in Washington DC. For this, the more funds brought in, the better and bigger the parties are.

Then take the remaining funds and divide them up by the institutions and doctors providing service.

Yes, it's really that simple.

Whatever care you get is that fraction of available resources.

Are you trying to tell me that when they said you can pick your own doctor, they didn't mean from a tree?
I can see how you would be able to pick your own doctor.

When your pro-rata fraction of his time allotted by Big Gov Socialism was 15 minutes or 15 microseconds is the question.

3194  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why We Need Women In Blockchain on: May 03, 2019, 11:50:39 PM
Actually, it is stable women that we want in Bitcoin. Why? Because they will bring stablization to Bitcoin.

Who are stable women? Aren't they women who are solidly hooked up to stable men, usually in marriage, or a relationship that is as strong as marriage?

So, what else do you find in a stable besides stabled people? Cheesy

Cool

Some mariages end up in divorce.
A mariage with Blockchain is forever. Until someone stills the crypto key of your heart...

Some men become jealous and end the marriage when their wives get married to a blockchain... other than the ball and chain at home, doing housework.

 Cheesy

Blockchain loves everybody. No need to be jealous. Ball and chain in Blockchain. Men in Blockchain too.

 Smiley

The True Social Justice Warrior will not fall for your foolishness. Blockchain algorithms must be changed to notate blockchain transactions as male or female. A government agency can oversee this, and check the credentials of those previously anon persons or bots posting.  If the ratio isn't fair, transactioning for the male sex will simply be refused until fairness is certified as achieved and maintained. For details on the ways that past injustice shall be repaid in blockchain rationing see Legislative Section 39.D.(a3).1.

The initial four years, three months, two days and fourteen hours of SJW_blockhain_correctness have been projected at allowing one male transaction for every nineteen female transactions.

Personal attesting as to personal sex will be used as defining male and female. Disputes will be adjudicated by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC).

People on the Internet aren't fooled. The video has a 30% approval rating (that is to say 70% dislikes) and most of the comments are people who understand what's happening.

How can a media outlet think they can get away with such blatant lies in this day and age?  CNN is nothing but Jeff Zucker's propaganda stream.  Any one who takes their "news" stories as factually accurate is a fool, and I think that pool of fools is not-so-slowly getting drained.

But Bernie is a "subcandidate." Not a real candidate. There are no real candidates in the Democratic Party, there is a Chosen One.

When you own the judges and the jury you don't go to jail, they will either all be tried and found guilty and than exonerated by Trump, or nothing will happen at all. But to think that our government is corrupt that is like saying our police could be  Shocked

I can only think of one one cop that I have run into that impressed me as being corrupt. Could be wrong on that, probably not.

The vast majority were outstanding people, very honest. It certainly could be different in differing parts of the USA and certainly different parts of the world.

So sure, some in the government of the USA are corrupt. But right now a fair number seem to have been dragged into a corrupt direction by Hillar/Obama...
3198  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Democracy Yes OR No ??? on: May 03, 2019, 02:07:03 AM
There is no perfect type of government, but I do prefer democracy over any others.  At least democracy give the people a voice in how they should be governed.
People can determine who lead them in democracy and I strongly believe that during democracy country do wetness growth and development compared to other form of government.  If the whole world embracing democracy we would have developments and the level of poverty will reduce.

If you like the idea of sociopaths and psychopaths in government, pick socialism.

If you like the idea of sociopaths and psychopaths in business, pick democracy.

Any other questions?
3199  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Corruption in The White House. on: May 03, 2019, 01:55:18 AM
The do-nothingness of the Repub did seem very odd, but could have been due to the lack of a Repub leader. Remember the old rule "Divide and Conquer?" Obama et. al. had the repubs divided into Tea Party Conservatives, and "Real Repubs." Ryan tried to bridge that gap, albeit poorly.

And then there was Trump.

A lot of the Republicans were (are still) appalled by Trumps nomination, because Trump isn't a true Republican (my opinion.)  He's definitely conservative, but he doesn't toe The Party line.  We're now seeing the light shine on the corruption of the Democrats, but the swamp is just as full of corrupt Republicans.  Those ingrained Washington insiders are scared shitless right now, as they should be.  They need to be constantly scared.  The more scared they are the better off America will be.

It's funny you mentioned the division in the Republican party during Obama's term, we're seeing a similar phenomenon with real Democrats and the Democratic Socialists.  They are dividing themselves and that's going to be their downfall in 2020.  Just like the Republicans shot themselves in the foot in 2012.

This is true. If the Dems did okay with a "divide and conquer" strategy, Trump is a world class master at it.
3200  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NSA Recommends Dropping Phone Surveillance Program on: May 03, 2019, 01:53:09 AM
NSA is going to be recommending the ending of a program that collects information (such as metadata) regarding your phone calls and texts (if you live in the US) They're going to be doing this as they cite that the program is a logistical nightmare to attempt to control, as new laws have been passed by lawmakers to ensure proper privacy compliance

They're saying that for the amount of legal compliance necessary to continue the program, it will just be better to shut it down.

I personally don't know if this is just a publicity stunt, and the government is just going to continue spying on the American people. Though I do hope this isn't such, and that these programs slowly come to an end as people notice that they really don't do more than invade the lives of innocent Americans.

So....

Translating....

When they said they had the program, it wasn't really working, but now that they say they don't need it and it's working properly, it's working perfectly?

Oh it does work all right, but compliance with US laws is unrealistic at best. Look at it from the technical point of view, how are you going to filter out calls from Americans? all you can do is perhaps look the other way or start a complicated unscalable filtering process.

The NSA has no choice but to record it all, and when the other agencies request the data they better check first they won't be using information that was not supposed to be recorded in the first place...

You cannot black/white list people, because if a call from a foreigner occurs, its valid (at least a half of it) to record it. You also cannot do it by location, because the foreigner might be already in the US territory, and the American abroad.

I doubt the surveillance will really stop, it might just become more undercover, as originally intended. They have to record all, then try to classify that mess. I bet they have some alliance with the world's largest data mining company, Google. I wouldn't be surprised they are using AI to sort all that info out before it becomes useless.

So the NSA subcontract it to FacebooK?
