They are talking about a peak of $6000. That would mean the market cap would need to move from 5.5 billion to + 75 Billion. Who is going to fund this ? Because I'm not and I doubt the whole bitcoin community "all in" could fund 75 billion. So where does the new investment come from ? 13 times it's current price, needs 13 times as much money. Who is going to fund your dream before you dump your nice 13 x profit? EDIT: im not talking at you specifically, but at the people in this link you sent. It would need way more than 13 times as much money, you are forgetting that the BTC supply is still increasing. Money needs to be pumped into the BTC eco system for it to maintain its price, therefore if money is withdrawn from this system, the price will drop more rapidly than if the same amount of money was injected into it. This is why these so called BTC bulls (read: people who got in early and want to dump massive amounts of BTC at a good price) keep telling people to hodl. Those are the same people who are pitching BTC to stupid money, saying that the dollar is inflationary etc., well atm the BTC is more inflationary than the USD.

I must say kudos to the Usde team for keeping the coin so much alive an kicking, most altcoins would have been irrelevant by now.

So I take it you are suggesting that just a day or two ago, you were not shouting to the rafters about how bearish the sentiment is?
sure, I see that the bears are crowding the place. I wasn't shouting to the rafters, but nobody liked it, put it that way. There are bulls like me, that have expected a $500-800 correction, and in general 50% retracement of all the previous bubbles. do you think it is bearish that the winkelvii are holding? the measure is about the number who have changed to bearish. I guarantee you there will be bulls here when the rocket takes off again, be it in a year, or two years. How do you know the reason they're holding isn't simply because they can't find buyers for all that they've got? How do you know this fund they're starting isn't designed as a way to help them get out without collapsing the market? Neither of us know, but I find the fact in and of itself to be neither bullish nor bearish. Why would you ever think they are in it for the money, they are obviously in it because they are real bitcoiners. Their families have made millions by just investing in something for humanitarian reasons.

Gentlemen, let me spell it out for you: If you market buy into this fool's rally, I will take your money. I didn't put my life savings into the riskiest investment in the world three years ago to have a bunch of johnny-come-latelys hop on the gravy train at the last minute and ride for free. Put in lower bids, help me defend the $400 wall and earn the right to be bitcoiners. You'll save money, and I won't have to dump the coins I bought for $10 on your heads.
Why defend a 400$ wall and become a Bitcoiner? Why would you even give a shit about so called fellow bitcoiners, you were smart enough to buy in at 10$, made a killer profit, that you just have to lock in. Imo sell your stash buy a new house/car/whatever and enjoy an early pension. because unlike most of you there are some people that truly believe in the bitcoin protocol. Isnt this the speculation sub-forum? speculation ˌspɛkjʊˈleɪʃn noun noun: speculation; plural noun: speculations 1. the forming of a theory or conjecture without firm evidence. "there has been widespread speculation that he plans to quit" synonyms: conjecture, theorizing, hypothesizing, supposition, guesswork; More gamble, venture, risk; gambling; investment; informalspec; informalflutter; archaicadventure 2. investment in stocks, property, etc. in the hope of gain but with the risk of loss. "the company's move into property speculation"

So it bascially confirms that while Bitcoin is not "banned" (since it can't really be banned, due to decentralization),The Chinese government is making it so hard for the general public to invest in the name of protecting them that its pretty much an indirect ban.
People will still be able to buy I guess for now but through difficult means, how many will bother remains to be seen. and also withdrawals might get more and more difficult with time as they squeeze it further, so this will limit people who are looking to fiat profits.
Did you notice that all the new and small players that try to fly under the radar have receive a document? They try to regulate it already in december last year, but they fail. Now it is serious. Did you also notice none of the big exchange have receive a document untill now? Did you also notice that third party payment processors with untraceable funding options are forbidden to fund exchanges? And why the fuck are they building a database with btc addresses? I think they will leave the big exchanges alone if they follow the instructrions. They try to controlling it, they can't stop it. Otherwise it goes underground. Plans are already made to go offshore. Singapore is already mention a couple times from what I have hear, I didn't know Singapore was that huge in the real world of finance. We will know more after 15 april what they really exactly want. If you didn't know that I will consider your arguments irrelevant.

Leverage shorting now would not be a bad idea imo.

On Huobi the buy walls are slowly disappearing, while the sell walls are increasing. Personally i think Huobi is just giving their Chinese investors an option to get out without too many losses.
You mean all the high volume Chinese exchanges? Do you know what is happening behind the scenes of these exchanges?

You could buy 1000 BTC right now and price wouldn't be any higher than it was eight hours ago. I hope you do. I wish I had sold more back then.
Well if you bought below 100$ you still made a killer profit, which many traders will be jealous of.

Price isn't moving a lot, but check those buy walls, they are dropping like flies.

Talkin about "priced in". MtGox believers bought coins on bitcoinbuilder and sent money until the last minute(their website went down). The price didnīt really crash until they announced bankruptcy altough it was obvious to anyone with two brain-cells what is going to happen. The same sentiment is present right now, a lot of people believe that PBOC will suddenly change their attitude, and out of the dark fairy whales appear and buy the price up to 1000(000)$, just because China might eventually not get banned 100%. I donīt believe that the common chinese trader is smarter than the western ones, and so most of them will trade(and even sent fresh money) until the last minute till they realize that itīs suddenly too late to get money or coins out. Bitcoiners are often in denial, we will know the true china-free price when they have completly shutdown their service. Price is again (probably) artificially being upheld by your favorite whales. I assume that a lot of people that are truly in the know are cashing out as much as possible without crashing the price too much. The 400$ support has been built to vreate an atmosphere of safety for the traders(pigs). "Cause hey, 400$ it must be the bottom we bounced of that 3 times before, so letīs buy all those cheap coins itīs basically free money"
Free lunches are everywhere, especially in bitcoinland.
