* In Phinnaeus' case we'll have to tone down the homophobic bit and make sure it's just stuff we *know* and don't merely suspect, but there's some good material there.  From what I can tell, Long Dong does indeed appear to have been involved in prostitution, and Scrotum's involvement in selling pretty abusive and distateful pron is absolutely irrefutable.

To be clear, I'm not homophobic, but will tone down nonetheless. I may make fun of a myriad of demographics, but it's only for humor purposes and truly mean no harm.

@Phinnaeus Gage Nah, don't tone it down at all, I think it is perfectly fine the way it is now.  The laughs you bring to this thread is a great consolation, reading through all the bad news.

I didn't mean to suggest you were a homophobe, Phinnaeus, your jokes are fine with me.  I do think that some people might not appreciate them as much, especially if on a website rather than a forum.

I've got a couple of domain ideas but don't want to post them here.   If anybody's wants to make a suggestion before I pull the trigger, please send a PM.  Still looking for somebody willing to set up and keep an eye on the back end of the wiki.

There are a couple other possible domains I see...
Do it, i will donate for the hosting if needed Smiley
I agree with my lawyer that there is no need to risk - so i won't risk. Again, i'm sorry for that.
We have enough content to talk about already. http://hashfast.org/List_of_Lies

While I'm sure that Phinnaeus would like hashfa.gs (<-- joke, I'm not serious!), I'm thinking about another name.

But first, are there any co-conspirators here who would participate in the management of the wiki?  I'm willing to write some articles and edit submissions to avoid legal issues, but would be looking for help keeping the back end running and a least a couple other people that have articles in mind.

Please respond by PM if interested.

It's always interesting to see how hashfast promptly reacts to their customers action by digging a bigger hole for themselves.

Yep.  The "circle the wagons" mentality.
324  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 08, 2014, 02:34:17 PM
Cedivad, I don't suppose you are willing to relinquish hashfast.org so we can loosen up the editorial control a little bit?

I want a site dedicated to Hashfast that is factual and "non-defamatory" too.  But unlike you, I see lots of ability to post the kinds of things I am researching, and things that Phinnaeus is turning up.*  These things are not defamatory or libelous in the United States, since they are demonstrable and documentable (and often unpleasant) public facts about the Hashfast people.

I don't want to take on the whole project, but I can contribute parts. There are a couple other possible domains I see...

I'm quite sure that you can do your researches and post them on the forum, no? It's not because of it being my wiki, it's because there is my name on the whois and i'm proceeding legally against HF (hiding it would have make no sense, it would just have make things worse).

You could at least place his middle name on the page, "Rufin".  This makes identifying him much easier, if somebody else is doing research.
326  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 07, 2014, 07:31:42 PM
Apart from that, i would say that the pages about the management are already informative enough, referenced, and yet, in no way defamatory.

They are good Wiki pages.

http://hashfast.org/Edward_L._Rodriguez_de_Castro
http://hashfast.org/Simon_E._M._Barber
http://hashfast.org/John_Skrodenis

Well, it's your wiki, so I won't insist on developing Scrotum's bio.  But there's nothing I was planning to post that would remotely qualify as being "defamatory" under US law.  (I know a little about this, coming out of a campaigning NGO background...)  Particularly since Skrodenis is a public figure. The standard is extremely high, it's not like some countries in Europe with lower thresholds.  In order to libel Scrotum, you would have to knowingly place false and defamatory information on the page.

In other words, you'd have to know it was wrong, and you'd have to deliberately post it anyway with the intent of causing harm to him.  I don't do that kind of thing, ever.

With this guy, there's absolutely no reason to even consider making anything up!  The story is sordid enough already.  In fact, you may be on shakier ground with all the talk about "lies" than I would place you in with the bio.

But I understand...

Somebody better with network stuff may want to chase these down:

http://whois.domaintools.com/johnrufin.com

He's registered 4 domains this year... wonder what.  My skills in this department are so antiquated...

Oh, oops, looks like Cedivad doesn't like my style.  Oh well.
328  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 07, 2014, 06:27:11 PM
Can somebody let me in on the wiki?  (perezoso)

I will be working on a much more detailed and well-sourced bio for Scrotum, which anyone with sourced information is of course welcome to contribute to.

As a public figure interviewed in the press, in online videos, and social media, and media-cited expert in bitcoins and bitcoin mining, John is spokesman for an important company selling millions of dollars of bitcoin mining devices and there is a legitimate public interest in a more comprehensive profile of his life and experiences.
329  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 07, 2014, 04:33:26 PM
I do so wish that I could join a lawsuit, but I paid in USD.  I hate this kind of trash company even more than I want to earn BTC or want my own (relatively small) investment back.

I'm not sure I'll buy bitcoin miners again, but it seems to me that an independent miner "diligence squad" would be a pretty cool thing to have when other new companies appear.  Run down all this stuff that Phinnaeus is finding on new startups, but hopefully pull it together BEFORE you order, not later.  So people like Long Dong and Scrotum are known entities at an earlier stage.

Come to think of it, that's kind of the job of a press, but the bitcoin press isn't mature enough to pull it off.

Just a thought...

Lordy, I step away from here for a few days, and look what Phinnaeus Gage turns up.  Wow.  Thank you.  I'm still trying to piece it all together, but wow, nice job.

Speaking of sex, of course we know that Johnny Scrotum was a marketer for kink.com.  One thing I was planning to do was to try to take a look into his former company, Kt Productions, registered in Dublin, CA:

http://www.wysk.com/index/california/dublin/mpw8t4j/kt-productions-inc/profile

It seems that this may have been a porn production company.  I wonder what they produced.

Scrotum's role at Hashfast seems to make even more sense if Phinnaeus Gage has in fact discovered that the freakish muscle porn prostitute whatever the hell he is dude is a power behind the scenes.  Perhaps they met on the set?

My own rummaging around on Eduardo-san has been limited.  He's easily tracked back to a crummy apartment north of University of Texas campus, where he got an MBA, but I've found little so far after that.  Appears to be either an immigrant (explaining the lack of older records) or another name changer.  Phinnaeus?

New post count is down. Don't let these bastards get away with it.

I think people are waiting to see what the "4 announcements" are, but they won't wait very long.  At least that's me.

332  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 04, 2014, 01:17:25 AM
Sounds like Luke-Jr has his Baby-Jet and is trying to get it going at full speed (30gh/s at last check with cgminer and bfgminer). Check out the Eligius IRC channel for more info.

30gh/s? I don't even know if should i cry or should i laugh.
This is just with unfinished code, and possibly some problems with the unit.
Also, it's 30 Gh/s average. More like 600 Gh/s (haven't measured exactly), but not working 95% of the time.

I know it's not your code, but while you're sleeping, can you fire it up with cgminer and tell us what happens?

I'm somehow doubting that it's going to churn along happily at 400gh+.

333  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 03, 2014, 06:45:51 PM
The truth hurts, right?

I'm not trying to insult anyone, i'm just telling you guys how scammers act after a big heist like this.

It's perfect. Of course they sent out a couple of dev units to keep your hope up.

Edit: Next step in "How to scam, big time" , after the poorly,  hand assembled dev units going out, is that within 2-4 weeks they will pull HashFast.com

Then within a week comes the official statement from Eudoardo where he with a tear in his eye declares HashFast is no more and they will try (<--) to make sure everyone get's their money back. Curtain, the show is over.

While imperfect, bankruptcy law does have protections for creditors.  I'm sure that management could abscond with some money, but it's nothing like what you portray, and with the outward appearance of fraud on some important issues (Oct delivery, MPP), there is potential personal civil or even criminal penalty.  If they disappear now, they will not wind up drinking a daquiri on a Caribbean beach - if they do, they will face a warrant - they will instead face years of expensive, time consuming, and depressing legal wrangling.

No matter what happens, and I presently assume it's going to be an ugly end, I am going to follow these guys.  I once had a horrific landlord that bothered and stole from me.  I followed that bastard on the internet for years (and thereby found other victims). Wherever he appeared, I made sure to remind people of the story of how he mistreated people. That's not at all something I usually do, even when slighted, but sometimes people just really, really piss you off.

Hashfast's management has crossed that threshold. I presently plan to do the same with Hashfast's people as I did with my landlord.  Wherever they appear in the future, they can look forward to me being there, and informing their friends and colleagues about how they ripped people off, what assholes they were. Especially deCastro and Scrotum.
334  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 03, 2014, 06:37:43 PM
Another thing that is bothering me is if someone does fight HashFast and HashFast agrees to give them their full BTC back, they will likely ask them to sign something that says they are not allowed to disclose the terms of the settlement publicly. That means we'll probably never know if someone wins the fight and if it is worth going after HashFast Sad.

Sigh.  Another reason why we should have worked together.
335  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 03, 2014, 02:49:00 PM
^^^^

Just ignore that dude, okay?  Not going to be a fruitful discussion.
336  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 03, 2014, 02:37:12 PM
Double down on the MPP would have been the least worst option for Hashfast, instead its management seems to be circling the wagons for a suicidal shootout with its customers.

Working together - not for "full BTC refunds" - but to twist Hashfast's arms, and legs, to force increased and hopefully accelerated hashpower compensation to Batch 1 customers was also the least worst option for most customers, because if such an effort was successful, all Batch 1 customers stood a chance at getting most of their investment back, or even a return.  The legal route?  A chance of a big payout, but especially for small guys, uncertain and self-defeatingly illogical, and it could lock in even larger losses.

This may not be a herd of cats, instead it's starting to look more like a circular firing squad.

Cedivad, you seem to have missed the link below on your list of TOS versions at hashfast.org

Anyways, here is Version 1.C, date 28 August, capped by me on 1 September:

This morning i got up early to enjoy with my exacopter, i had everything set but... the weather. So i had some free time while the US were sleeping.

Wiki online:
http://hashfast.org/

Since that i expect HF to do whatever they can to shut that thing down (and go against me personally), the website will only be allowed to host content that is not speculation, accusations deprived of every base, and in any other case useless content that will only end up with providing them a case against me.

I will try to do a bio page for John Skrodenis soon.  Purely factual, and completely referenced.
339  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 02, 2014, 02:08:34 AM
What happened to the IceShil? He is nowhere to be found lately. That person deserves the scammer tag, if only he didn't successfully molested and distracted anyone who dared to speak of what may happen with HF, this all thing would be recognized much earlier. I wonder how he sleeps realizing how many people he fucked for some particular personal interest.

He was about fifteen years old.  He doesn't have a conscience yet.

He's sleeping just fine.  His name is Eduardo and he has all of our money.

Nah, if he worked for HF, I think his name was John Scrotum.  I did some googling on John a few days ago.  Such a sad case.

He seems to have started out as an idealist, researching ecology activism, maybe even doing a little nonprofit work in Massachusetts.

Then something apparently went terribly wrong.

He moved to the Bay Area and descended into marketing porn involving women having plastic bags placed over their heads and thrust underwater while being penetrated by dangerously large objects. (And in addition to marketing apparently had his own production company too!  I wonder what kinds of sadistic torture, I mean, "entertainment" videos he produced.)

But he's moved from capitalizing on abuse of "models".  Now he abuses his customers. He's a principal in Hashfast.

One wonders how this kind of thing happens to nice boys from Illinois.
