But with all those middlemen you prob don't save much... right?  And if something is broken when it arrives, who do you turn to?

I really don't like spamming up Sushi thread so if any questions please contact me direct.

There are really good agents that only take 5% fee still is much cheaper. I made test purchase and I got unit for 1.92BTC and shipping in the New Year Batch, I still buy from Sushi to support his group buy.

The MAIN point here is that Bitmain should offer Sushi much better price. He can offer others so why not his biggest customer ?

324  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] Bitmain Antminer S1 180GH on: December 31, 2013, 03:38:30 PM
Hopefully you have teamed up with an Agent in china as Bitmain is selling to locals in china for 1.82BTC

It is shame he does not ship worldwide at this price, that is why if you have friend in china or have TaoBao Agent you could be saving so much.

Hopefully you have good UK price.

For these machines to ROI anywhere near what the current price would need to be 2.75BTC at current rate.

Wish best luck Outcast Smiley

Need the price to come down some Sushi.  2.75 for returning customers???

Bitmain should be offering Sushi much better price, Locals in china can buy these from Bitmain on his TaoBao for 1.86BTC per unit inc Delivery to mainland china.

That is a price that is actually good for the current market. Sushi has done bitmain so good for customers I think should be good back and offer better price.

As many are right these machines are now simply too expensive to run in the long run and will never ROI.

Sushi has done amazing work for everyone and Bitmain does provide a good service, very good infact but the price should meet supply.

328  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: December 29, 2013, 11:03:54 PM
Hi,

Need some help both my miners have now lost there IP due to a new router being put in.

I have tried multi subnets with IP scanner and still can't find either.

Is there a way to rest these back to default ?

Thanks

Is your router setup the same as your last one?  192.168.x.1?

If your previous router was reached at 192.168.1.1 for example, you're going to need your new router to be accessible at 192.168.1.1 this is a result of how the WAN setting for the Ants are done.  When you set them up, you specified the gateway as whatever your old routers IP was (192.168.1.1 in my example), if you get a new router and it's not on that same IP then the miners won't be able to reach it.

As far as a reset, if you got your miners in the 2nd or 3rd GB (or later), there should be a small round button on the small PCB that has the ethernet jack on it and various ribbon cables.  Look on the bottom of that small board, on the end where the ribbon cables are.  I believe the procedure is to power on the miner with that button held down for a minimum of 10 seconds.  I've never done it, so I con't know if there is a beep or anything to let you know if it was a success.

Sadly my miners are from group buy 1 and 2 and do not carry the button Sad

My router is the same address but I set both miners to connect via WIFI before I changed over and tested as I had zero downtime and now I can't see them

My network goes - Router 192.168.1.1 - Acesss point 1 on VLAN 2 192.168.3.1 - Access point 2 on VLAN 2 192.168.10.253 - Then both miners are attached via WIFI

1 miner is actually running while the other is not but I still can't even see the miner that is workings IP all the way though my network even via Wireshark

Any ideas total puzzled

333  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [UK GROUP BUY] ASICminer Cube group buy #9 on: December 27, 2013, 12:52:02 AM

You got everything working now, right?

More or less, the Cube craps out after about 20-24 hours, but a quick hard reboot gets it going again.  I've been mostly away over Christmas, so haven't had a chance to have any more time with the Cube to figure out it's idiosyncrasies.  I'm going to split the load of it between the two supplies I have and see if it stabilises things. Smiley

I did sorted mine cx750 problem...apart that wasnt psu fault.
Simple proxy issue. When i used wifi on laptop to supply work(proxy) for cubes and HTC phone was connected and wifi was on on it all was working below 30Gh/s.
Once laptop is connected to wifi without HTC in the network cubes hashing easily 32-38Gh/s both on same psu.
Temp is on average 40 celsius.

Any one else issue with 2 cubes on one psu?

No joke I had this problem with the HTC phone for weeks and weeks and thought it was so weird every time my girl came over everything crashed I was like maybe they don't like her hahaha but I set up a VLAN for her WIFI only and now not a single problem.

HTC phones use some of the ports that the Proxy uses.

These do come with power supplies.

Avalon chips and I will imagine the usual interface but all will be confirmed tomorrow.

Connect via LAN

1 unit weighs 17KG fully boxed and being sent via DHL rather than UPS which is £690 to post 1 unit!!

DHL can send not a problem customs fee's can be about £30 or $60 to $80 usd depending on where you live.

Can have a custom amount on the invoice if you wish.

I wish but NO.  I am allowed to accept tips to help you guys....  That's why you see my TIPS address everywhere

So please give me some SATOSHI or better yet, more than that!!!   Grin Grin Grin

The 1.81BTC units are selling so fast WOW

What 1.81BTC units?

No one has seen Bitmains official Taobao ? He listed 300 units the other day, selling like hot cakes

Can you please provide a link for folks that have no clue what you're talking about?  Smiley

Are you talking about the Chinese store? Is sushi marking these things up from 1.8 BTC to 3.1 BTC?

To be fair on Sushi I think the best thing would be for anyone really wanting to save a buck to find the link there self.

Sushi has done an amazing job last 3 group buys and deserves a lot of hard earned tips.

Hopefully a new price can be matched in the next group buy to match Bitmains sale price.
