This is amazing.

NAS at a marketcap of nearly $400k.  Let's be conservative and say we at least match them and have 3000 stakeholders at launch sharing 90% of the coins, each of our stakes will be worth $120.  Let's say we crush the pre-marketing and this far into it we are over the $1M mark, that puts our stakes at $300.

Could we be in the top 20 and start seeing 2M market cap?  Blow past VertCoin?  Then we will have stakes worth 1-2BTC

Is NEM the NxT killer?  Do we see that Doge like market caps of 50-75M.  There is no reason we couldn't.  stakes at point will be worth $15,000-20,000.

My prediction for the stake auction will be .25-.5 BTC.  Max of 1BTC.

is anyone going to any of the bitcoin confrences?
https://bitcoin.org/en/events

what about auctioning off a handful of stakes live at the conference.. set up a stand.. explain nem and what the whole project is about to people and allow them to bid on stakes! (or partial stakes)

or you could just have a full blown stand up and yell bdbdbdbbdbdbdbd 1 bitcoin bdbdbd can i get 2 bdbdbdbd sold to the bitcoin junky in the back row! now that would draw attention lol

I hope some of use can attend some conferences once we launch/get close to launch.

This sounds like a fun time.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ๑۩۞[ANN][KARM] Karma & Karmashares LLC // New Windows Wallet on: April 28, 2014, 02:14:28 AM
The uptrend for Karma price on Mintpal atleast is forming. Whitecoin has been screwed by its devs, Blackcoin has been ditched by a substantial chunk of its community, new shitcoins with no reason for their success except for the fact that they offer a perceived chance to make back what folks lost on Black and Whitecoin have been popping up and will be dumped within a week or two.

There is only one coin with a real, bona fide opportunity to make serious ROI and a continuous profit over a length of time greater than 1 year and that is Karma.

I personally went all in on Karma after selling off all my White and Blackcoin. 250 Million Coins was the target and I slowly bought up until that time. Invested 200 Million in Karmashares and holding 50 Million for when Karma is adopted by merchants and payment processors so I can treat myself to a few luxury items! haha

Love this coin, Love the community and most importantly I love the devs - Absolute confidence in Kosmost and the team -

Thanks for the vote of confidence!  The price keeping up with low volume is encouraging, usually is bleeds down in the other direction.  Maybe the miners are starting to hold their coins now :-)

Edit- Volume going up now. Someone is accumulating KARMs

I agree. Our initial thought is to offer the first auction on the Alpha release to avoid scam accusation and we will take some times to build the brand up to that point. The likely method of auction is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiunit_auction. We will write a more detail guidelines at least one week before the auction but that's something everyone can study first if they are interested in the auction. Uniform auction have been used for U.S Treasury auctions. You can read about the theories and empirical studies of this type of auction here http://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/fin-mkts/Documents/final.pdf  and here http://www.treasury.gov/resource-center/fin-mkts/Documents/upas2.pdf

Please consider saving one final stake to be auction the day before final release, would help set market price and build momentum.  One last lucky bastard gets in Smiley

Pretty sure this coin is going down the drain.

That pic needs to be on ratemypoo.com, yes and it's a good site.

Mintpal didn't add NXT because it has a totally different code than other Bitcoin forks.

So they didn't know how to add it. If they add NEM. NEM would start with 1-0 already  Tongue

Do we really want to be on an exchange that doesn't have the know how to add a java based crypto?  I mean, how hard would it be to reach out to the NxT community and ask for help with the API and adding it.  Bter and Crytpsy eventually got it done.  We should focus on those two as they have already shown their know how. Eventually Cryptsy will handle fiat, then new blood can skip BitCoin entirely Cheesy

Would it be possible to distribute the stakes slowly, lets say within 1 or 2 months time to avoid dumping too fast ?
I would not mind to wait for a while to get my stake.

This is clearly a good idea. I approve Wink

Absolutely not, really?  I mean, do you guys have any sense of fairness?

i would likely trade NEM on DGEX.com. Is it possible ?

Why?

3. No one can steal your wallet signature in this method. It is TIED to your karmawallet. For example if you use MY WALLET SIGNATURE and send some coin it does not affect anything. Because the WALLET and the SIGNATURE should prove one and the other.

Of course it is tied to the Karma wallet... But it is not tied in any way to the Bitcoin address!

Lets say that an attacker got access to the signature tied to a given Karma address of someone that sent coins to Karmashares LLC.
As you probably know emails are not that hard to snoop... And the form sends an email to someone from Karmashares LLC right?

An attacker could copy a signature he got from snooping the emails sent to Karmashares LLC, put it in the form (http://karmacoin.me/contact? ) with the correspondent Karma address of the shares holder (not the atacker Karmacoin address!) and request a change of the bitcoin address associated with the shares (that are nos his) to one of his own bitcoin addresses.
This way the atacker/hacker would be paid the dividends of Karmashares LLC insted of the legit owner of the shares.

The signature of a blank message is in itself proof that it was signed by the owner of the wallet.
But if the message it was generated with does not contain the BTC address of the owner then I see a big security flaw.

MY SOLUTION:
So I suggest that you ask the shareholders to sign the message, character by character (just do copy-paste), that they put on the form (http://karmacoin.me/contact?).
With the signature pasted in a different text box; because it is obviously not possible to sign a message containing the signature itself.

I'm just trying to help.
A security flaw like the one I pointed could discredit Karmashares LLC if taken advantage off... And be sure it will if it is not solved.

Here's the thing though, anytime you sign a empty message the signature is always different. All kosmost has to do is see if the newly submitted signature is the same as the original email and then not accept the change unless they send him a new signature. Since someone who is snooping can only get the signature that you sent to begin with this would solve that problem easily and keep things simple and not so confusing.

You totally cock blocked PTMan tip I was about to send!  So un-Karma like Wink j/k

Well I went out on a little gamble and bought 5 million of shares today as it is the last day of x10 bonus. Not willing to risk a huge amount of money, but interesting concept none the less. I suppose I wont be too downhearted if it turns out to be a scam but I would feel sorry at that point for the people who have risked a lot of money.

Never put in what you can't afford to loose.

Just did 105M, wanted to do more but had already donated 100M before Cheesy

Am I missing something about singing my message to prove I own the shares? I can't see that info anywhere.

Any help or links to the information? Thanks.

I am only speaking for myself, but most of us have "regular jobs" as well. There are risks, especially the more public you are, of damaging your current career and endeavors by announcing how much you are focused and working on something entirely outside of that realm.

Definitely wise to auction them off in a couple different formats.  Maybe even use ebay for one?
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NEM] NEM -New Economy Movement - No Envy Movement - Updates+Discussion thread on: April 26, 2014, 07:50:24 AM
ya know what you should do.. to add a lil bit o funky to the auction.. if there are 120 to auction.. announce that 110 are up for auction.. but 10 random stakes are double size stakes... lol

Has anyone taken the time yet to add up exactly how many socks have been booted, ie how many are being auctioned?

My guess is they will sell for around 0.25 - 0.5 bitcoin right now.  But with the Alpha out, would double or triple that amount.

Maybe staggering the auctions every other week?  We could hype each one and bring out more and more bidders to them and have it lead up to the release.  Imagine being able to bid on a full stake the day before the a big coin like this is launching?  People would bid like mad to snag the last one, and would set the market price for the first exchange that accepts it the following day.

Investors already put more than 5.6B of their Karma on KarmasharesLLC !
http://explorer.karmacoin.me/address/K8rMbDnZ7xX9VqBXmLwA7DCnYra1ftw3gE

Wow! This is awesome. It will only pick up steam and push the price up as the day goes on. By next week I expect we will probably be pushing 100+ Litoshi. Every coin removed from the market and invested in Karmashares has a two fold effect: 1. It shows people are keen to invest large ammounts in Karmashares. 2. That they believe it more profitable to buy and invest in Karmashares as opposed to buy and keep in a wallet.

As people start to realise that the days of low volume and cheap coins are fast disappearing they will start to place larger and larger buy orders. There is just not enough on offer at these low price sub 70 to stay here for much longer!

This is a true testament of the trust in and the hard work we have seen from this team.  Good stuff!
