i want to apologize to KEY DEV AND COMMUNITY.

sorry to spread FUD before.

since XC dev endorsed KEY,  i am in before 0.001.

good job!

I respect that you're able to admit to that. Welcome aboard!

To all previous skeptics as well as newcomers:  it's still not too late to join in on this ride!  This is only the beginning.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [KEY] KeyCoin - X13 - Fair Lnch - 3 Lg. Exchanges - Anon Peer Review+ on: July 30, 2014, 07:12:37 AM
why i always miss good coin?HuhHuh

Research a bit about this coin (look at first post and website) and realize the big picture.  It is still very early to buy in.  It's actually pretty amazing that this coin stayed at this low of a price for this long.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [KEY] KeyCoin - X13 - Fair Lnch - 3 Lg. Exchanges - Anon Peer Review+ on: July 30, 2014, 05:59:16 AM
There are a total 22 keycoin team members, all operating different departments but working collaboratively. Our keyOS department will be the next to deliver their work. They are a great group of guys and are looking forward to release an anonymous trading environment with auto wallet updaters, spreadsheets designed for trading, and programs used to make various trading based calculations, and more.

22 team members? Did you guys grow in number since the release?  That's amazing.  Keycoin sure is the real deal.  So much innovation and still a lot of big features yet to be released.

This might be too soon, but I'm going to say it:  you guys can change the world of crypto as we know it.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [KEY] KeyCoin - X13 - Fair Lnch - 3 Lg. Exchanges - Anon Peer Review+ on: July 30, 2014, 03:15:50 AM
Look at total supply, look at realistic anonymity, speculate on the functionality of KEY OS and then consider DRK, if Shitcoin DRK can see .02 this coin is golden to hit the same if not higher, this may legitimately be a really big deal, especially with a functioning "Kali Linux" style OS made by the KEY team with anonymity in mind.. incredible work, by far better than any other job done to date... even better than CLOAK which is a very bold statement, I do think that CLOAK and VOOT are the only other anon to offer a realistic solution.

Exactly.  I'm actually pretty dumbfounded that Keycoin isn't worth more by now.  There are too many people who are simply just looking for a quick profit and turning away from this without much thought.  But I guess it's not a completely bad thing as it allows more users to enter at a cheap price.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [KEY] KeyCoin - X13 - Fair Launch - Bittrex/Cryptsy - 7/27 KeyOS Soon on: July 30, 2014, 12:01:16 AM
I just bought my first KEY, i have been reading something interesting about KEY. And now it is all based on deliver results to the investors, i believe that KEY can hit 0.00200000sats. So that will give me a 4x return. Only bought for .36BTC, but still...

Thanks, KEY, i'm out for the moment, took some nice profit... but i need some money for the Ethan IPO.

Wait, you sold Keys to buy into an IPO?  Oh boy...

Sorry, had to comment on that.

On another note, this is amazing news.  Thank you to everyone involved for taking the time to review everything and send a message to the community.  I think this alone pushes Keycoin into a whole new territory in the altcoin world.

Maybe only the fudders and trolls are offended lol

But let's keep it classy.  Keycoin is a classy name.  Not like many other names out there.  You guys know what I'm talking about

A large amount of your money isn't in dickbuttcoin? hmm... changing my portfolio now..
Unfortunately no, but I do have quite a bit in Tittiecoin.  Gotta love them titties

I like that we can finally have some decent discussion in here now that the FUDers are gone (well, at least for the time being).

I agree that passion is good.  And we all know it feels good to say fuck all the fucking fudders and motherfucking shitcoins out there.  But unfortunately, this doesn't work out too well in the real world
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [KEY] KeyCoin - X13 - Fair Launch - Bittrex/Cryptsy - 7/27 KeyOS Soon on: July 29, 2014, 06:29:21 PM
Just a simple suggestion:

All curse words should be removed from the official announcements on the website. They are not professional. Anything that sounds like complaining isn't professional either.

In general in this business, public statements should be made with the same care and caution a politician takes. If you wouldn't say "shitcoins" in a State of the Union Address, don't say that in a public statement. Clean it up, and things will appear 100-fold more professional.

The team is professional, and the website looks great. So does the technology. Make the PR equally as great, and this will be a monster. Don't mention fights with others, don't point fingers, and don't do anything that could be perceived as antagonistic, particularly in the PR.

All in all, great job.

Heed these words, and things will go further faster.

I second this.  It's very important how the Keycoin team present themselves.  In order to catch the interest of more big investors and influential people i.e. professionals, Keycoin team will also need to stay professional.  Not saying that you guys have been inappropriate, but like everything else, this is something that could always be improved.  It'll also be an additional thing that will set Keycoin apart from the huge number of altcoins out there.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [KEY] KeyCoin - X13 - Fair Launch - Bittrex/Cryptsy - 7/27 KeyOS Soon on: July 29, 2014, 11:56:23 AM
Bump...

Assuming keycoin uses masternodes and that they are centrally operated - how many masternodes are being operated on the network, and who are they owned by?

Why isn't a description and diagram of the keycoin anon solution prominent in the original post nor on the website???

Can one of the team please help me understand why I should buy more keycoin?

You buy because you think the price is going to go up.

So many questions, so few answers. Come on people what are you telling potential buyers? What is the elevator pitch.

Edit: at least, what is the next potential news, feature release, or even hype that will push this over $1m market cap? Surely if keycoin has any potential at all we can see a few million? thoughts?

If you read back a couple pages, it looks like right now devs are trying to get the code for their anon reviewed to please the people who are skeptical. In my opinion, this is a very important step to gain more support. For feature releases that they are working on, you can refer to the website or the first post.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [KEY] KeyCoin - X13 - Fair Launch - Bittrex/Cryptsy - 7/23 ANON RELEASE on: July 28, 2014, 04:32:25 PM
Can someone please show me an example of anon transaction in blockchain?

I'm trying to figure out anon. Does the anonymity work yet?

Here you go, I just sent an anonymous transaction to test it:

http://chainz.cryptoid.info/key/address.dws?KM7DfEPN53VimonjQv3yHpsijBRNqrayxq.htm

See if you can figure out where the coins in that wallet address actually came from.

Thank you, will check tomorrow. Did you use sendanoncoins RPC command?

@pbremen01:  I'm quoting this post from you a few days ago.  Did you ever figure out the wallet address?  You've had several days.  I'm sure you've been able to find some time in your busy life to figure this out, especially since you're so motivated to prove that the anon tech does not work.
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [KEY] KeyCoin - X13 - Fair Launch - Bittrex/Cryptsy - 7/27 KeyOS Soon on: July 28, 2014, 04:14:58 AM
Erastos, you haven't said a single positive thing since we started even when we deliver on our promises, you always show up moments after to shoot us down.  Let's try to be a bit more constructive at a minimum. Or just erastos yourself from our Ann Wink

ah i see even the development team is professional enough to ask criticizers to stop discussion entirely and leave. i see the price just reflected that sentiment moments ago.

ill be waiting in case you actually post something worth my time, or the picture book on how your anon works. like i said before, im not expecting miracles

Pr0m is right, looking back at all your comments, you have not been constructive at all.  The truth is, you've been FUDing this coin since the beginning.  That's unfortunately something you're always going to be labeled as.  Of course criticism is always welcome, as long as it's done with a bit of respect.  Sorry man, but you haven't exactly been respectful.

Thanks devs.  As long as you guys keep delivering, people will see that and we will gain more and more supporters.

334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [KEY] KeyCoin - X13 - Fair Launch - Bittrex/Cryptsy - 7/26 WEBSITE LIVE!! on: July 27, 2014, 03:09:12 PM
I agree with Petr1fied. Let's not call every criticism we see a FUD.   He's provided some pretty good constructive criticism and suggestions on improvement.

@Petr1fied:  you should join the official keycoin forum and voice your suggestions there.  Let's keep things professional.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [KEY] KeyCoin - X13 - Fair Launch - Bittrex/Cryptsy - 7/26 WEBSITE LIVE!! on: July 27, 2014, 01:16:08 PM
But keycoin launched anonymity feature that can be "broken" with just eyeballing the blockchain and with piece of paper and pencil (again assuming that post is true - I haven't checked for myself because anon feature doesn't work in my wallet). You don't even have to have access to the source code of the mixer or to the protocol specs.

This just shows that developers may grossly underestimate intelligence of the people that may be interested in this coin. They obviously think that the "sheep" will "buy" any kind of anonymity that they're trying to "sell".

That's a pretty big accusation there for a guy who hasn't checked anything himself and is only relying on a reddit post.  I understand that criticism is good, but no need to say things like that about the devs.  Like others have said, keycoin is new.  So time will tell.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [COINO] The Coin(O) Community Discussion thread on: July 26, 2014, 06:55:13 PM
People still do not understand the advantage of fast coins.. Many in the public does not know about crypto currency. Now the market is in chaos and puppeteers speculators conduct their dirty games. The technical characteristics of coino has an advantage over many, artificially inflated coins. But at the initial stage, it is necessary to create a normal website. this is the first step to revival coino.

I do agree that fast transactions are important, but that's really the only thing coino has going for it right now.  Not to mention there are plenty of other coins out there that are pretty much just as fast.  My point is that at the heart of a successful coin should be a strong and dedicated dev team. Coino completely lacks this.  Everyone has given up.

I also agree with the website comment.  But the fact is, it's been a good 3 months since the relaunch of coino and still no website.  What I'm trying to say is, we are way pass the initial stage at this point and there's hardly any progress.

I just love how every FUDer and troll so far has been proven wrong. Gotta really thank them for allowing the dev team and community to shine.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [COINO] The Coin(O) Community Discussion thread on: July 26, 2014, 05:52:45 AM
Um is coino dead? Coino.org is up but coino seems dead.
Alive Smiley

Use wallet from OP.
http://coinocoin.com

I don't know about alive anymore. I used to have hope, but the reality is, the very first dev who created this coin gave up on it. And now I think it's safe to say that the new devs who tried to revive this coin (mainly smcardle and bgade) has also given up on it. There's probably a very good reason why that is.  Really hate to be this negative, as I have been a supporter for a long time, but you have to be realistic at some point.

i have some bad news for the dev team if theyre considering using TailsOS with key

http://thehackernews.com/2014/07/tails-operating-system-zero-day-vulnerabilities_23.html

from the article
Quote
The critical zero-day security flaws, discovered in the privacy and security dedicated Linux-based Tails operating system by the researcher at Exodus Intelligence that could help attackers or law enforcements to de-anonymize anyone’s identity, actually lie in the I2P software that’s bundled with the Operating System.

If you read to the end of the article, this is what they say:

"The Exodus Intelligence security researchers will released more technical details on the hack once the bug get fixed. Exodus Intelligence is working with the Tails and I2P coders to get the patch soon and after that it won't charge any fees for disclosing the flaw with more bugs"

Sounds like they are working on getting it fixed.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [KEY] KeyCoin - X13 - Fair Launch - Bittrex/Cryptsy - 7/26 WEBSITE LIVE!! on: July 26, 2014, 05:18:37 AM
Nice website. Just a few suggestions on some things I noticed.

1.  Don't know if it's just me, but the main banner at the top has to reload and resize every time I go to the main page.  Fixing this would make the page a bit smoother.

2.  Possibly having a larger link or a dedicated section on the site to point to the Wallets instead of having a small icon at the top right corner which may go unnoticed.  Wallets are an important thing we want people to be able to find with ease. Also, didn't notice a link to the Mac wallet.

3. Having the links to bitcointalk, twitter, etc. open to a new window/tab

Just a few nit picky things, but I think attention to detail is important.
