So much drama/hype/scams going on in the cryptoworld.  Glad Virtualcoin has no part of it.  Still mining away.   Smiley

Best Coin ever since Bitcoin, I will buy it once it hit well known exchange.

When it was on AGX site it was the most active trading coin, but now AGX site is having lot of issues, I don't think anyone should trade their till they fix it.

100% agree, so far best coin of the year. No more BS attached. Lets all work & place this coin where it deserve.

yes, Virtual Coin is picking up steam as expected Grin Grin Grin

100 times increase in last 24 hrs.

I see about 93 connections in my wallet, most smart users understand to avoid fly by night coins that are pump & dump. This coin was design to complete with Litecoin. Once scrypt miner is out, most if not all users will switch to X11 coin like this.

I have updated my Signature with VC coin.

hoping others will join too.

Still over 80% approval user rating does not lie, I have mined this coin since 1st week of launch. It is one of the few coins I see holds lot of potential with serious investors & merchants. If everything goes well we may even see it on bitcoin ATMs by end of this year.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ORIGINAL ☎☎☎ VIRTUAL COIN ☎☎☎ |VC | X11 |VGW |ASIC |v9.1.6 |RARE 3 MILLION COINS on: May 01, 2014, 07:11:47 PM

can't agree more Smiley

Dev, since this coin is 0 Premine, we all need to support it as a group.
Please setup donation VC address for bounty & a Bitcoin address for development like android, MAC & ATM support.

What you guys think, I know Android & ATM developers require payment in BTC, it will help all of our investments. Good to see Virtual Coin now listed on Download.com, the last time I check only 3-4 coins ever was listed by them, so expect a major thrust from general public joining VC in coming days.

I just emailed Poloniex exchange about adding this coin. I'd like to see it hit a medium sized exchange for some growth. If anyone has an in to any particular exchange Poloniex, Bittrex, AllCrypt please send them a request for Virtualcoin. I think the way the dev is active and solved all of the forking problems is a great story for the coin. X11 and no premine don't hurt either  Wink

Virtualcoin needs to get on an active exchange.  VC is X11's best kept secret. Low quantity coin, Dev that knows his stuff and no premine/IPO.  Just a matter of time before the word gets out, so just keep mining.

Can't agree more, I also have an eye on this coin. I am expecting this coin values close to bitcoin due to only 3 million will be issued.

Looking at the poll, over 80% users supports this coin, yes it needs a good exchange, we all will be rich Wink

It is still running bonus blocks, so great if you able to mine it before it runs out of bonus.

They already arrived to my wallet from the pools but some coins are confirmed others are not (have like 20 inputs unconfirmed then 2 confirmed then 10 unconfirmed etc... (when viewing in chronological order).
They were all fine on 9.1.4 (stops syncing at 5160 I think it was) before I switched to 9.1.6, now 7k out of 9k received are unconfirmed.

Total mess, another waste of a week of mining.
At least the last time was my own fault (on HIRO), which somehow seems like a positive suddenly Smiley

I saw your account on Tales pool (I think) showed you mined over 30,000 in less than 24hrs. Are you telling us you only mined 9k?

I have over 1000 confirmed at minep.it I sent them a ticket for a manual withdrawal and no response as of yet.

OK, I can confirm 99.9% Mine.it is running on right blockchain.

Just checked, be careful of other pools, none are matching current block chain. Not sure about the payouts, only Mine.it OP can confirm that. I have not seen any response from Mine.It OP in last few days.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ✿✿✿ VIRTUAL COIN ✿✿✿ | VC | X11 | VGW | ASIC | v9.1.6 | IMPORTANT UPDATE | on: April 23, 2014, 10:06:57 PM
50

tks. just got 50 coins from solo mining but 3 minutes later, disappeared  Angry Angry So im out of this coin  Angry Angry

That is very odd, the dev enable high payout so user who lost coins mining pool that were unable to pay get it back or even more in short time.

I mined it & I am able to mine in 10-30 mins a block which is very good.

For solo mining, make sure you are using...
MINER: https://mega.co.nz/#!uAp12DYa!vhfp1wDb43mB1KCo_5ZfwXehYhBXeKcVYWbmkTB2ldg

Run in DOS window:-
Code:
sgminer -k darkcoin -o 127.0.0.1:20950 -u vcoinrpc -p myrandompassword -I 18 -g 4 -w 128

also look for current block in Debug Window,
then type in console ->
getblockhash <current block value>

* <current block value> is the current block # example
getblockhash 5000

Post your result here.

Here is Guide to solo mine, their is still good chance you will get lot of coins if you can get at least 2Mhash rate. It is on block 5817.

Finally found blocks overnight at minep.it got several hundred in confirmed and unconfirmed now. Looks like payouts are not working though? no withdrawals in my transaction history and the autopayout is locked at one.

minep.it appears to be on the correct blockchain and every block pays 50VC. Auto-payout seems to be disabled.

edit:
www.minep.it are on wallet 9.1.6 and they are doing manual payouts. Looks like we're finding almost every block though.. and that's probably because it's the only working pool?

Yes only working pool. I assume open a ticket for manual payouts? Been mining there since yesterday.

minep.it, can you please respond if payout are sorted out on your pool?

No issues so far on Windows 7 64bit. I can see all my coins.  Grin

I complied source code on Linux, it was able to sync in 2-3 mins. It is sad to see sonysasankan blaming dev for Linux bug unrelated to Virtual Coin code.

That was the reason why chinese pool never has this issue as they were not using Linux version having this bug. I also search & found many other users with other coins reported the same issue, not just X11.

I am soo excited to mine Virtual Coin, it will 100% take over Litecoin this year. I already started seeing clones coming up of Virtual Coins, which tells the popularity of this coin. Will buy & trade once it is listed on well known exchange.

 Shocked Shocked Shocked
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Virtual Coin|VC|X11 Hybrid|VGW| ASIC Resistant | Update | 2X Reward Promo| on: April 18, 2014, 05:28:04 PM
What a sad thing  Huh I see once a while someone associated with these other coins likely this "Community Coin" try to deface this thread with propaganda. Now days these desperate users will come from nowhere to post some fake negative news etc. We all are here to support Virtual Coin.  Grin Grin Grin

When in a 1-2 months scrypt ASIC is out, Litecoin will be dead... it will be 3rd generation coins like Virtual Coin X11 that most CPU/GPU users will turn to.  Wink

+1

Clone of Virtual Coin.
IPO = BS = Pump & Dump

net hashrate 185 mh/s

I don't see any pools with decent hashrate, is that only solo miners Huh DAT INSTAMINE

Well i can't fight against that especially on 4 min blocks+

http://vc.altmine.net/static/ looks like is sync
http://vc.talesfromthescrypt.org is also sync (but wait for Pool OP to confirm if ready for mining)
http://vc.520cn.com is also sync

All above 3 pools are synced, so should be safe to mine.

Are there any working pools at the moment?  Also, did I lose all my coins that I withdrew from talesofthescrypt?  I withdrew around 73 VC's.

I would wait for them to switch to new version.
Take a screenshot in case pool OP mess up during upgrade.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Virtual Coin|VC|X11 Hybrid|VGW|ASIC Resistant|Update| 2X Award (promotion) on: April 17, 2014, 01:27:59 AM
anybody else getting stuck on block 1611 with the new source?

Same, I also did not had any issue with new update version.

I copy wallet.dat to "My Documents" then deleted virtualcoin folder.
I deleted OLD qt-virtualcoin.exe file.
Downloaded new file.
run the new file.
then close it after 15 secs.
Created new file virtualcoin.conf in "virtualcoin" folder with following text...
Code:
testnet=0
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=vcoinrpc
rpcpassword=YOUR.OWN.RANDOM.PASSWORD
gen=1
genproclimit=2
maxconnections=100
rcpallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=20950
port=2095
save the file.

Launch new qt-virtualcoin.exe again.

wait 1-5 mins for it to connect & sync.
Now close it again.
copy back your wallet.dat file into "virtualcoin" folder.
Start & enjoy.

I think once all pools move to new version, you will either see coins in Pool website or in your wallet.

No coins were lost before block 1611, so you should get some coins, if pool used right blockchain, then you will see all of your coins.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / █ BEST EXCHANGE TO LIST/TRADE VC COINS █ on: April 14, 2014, 06:02:44 PM
Currently mining very promising Virtual Coin [VC], but it is listed on new exchange which sucks, any reputed exchange it could be listed, where most trading happens for alt coins.

Thanks
