More grammatical recommendations.  On the news page:

"This was made public earlier, and now the community is trying to revive AsiaCoin, with the support of its members and those who invested in AsiaCoin, to fix the issue, and relaunch the coin with a hard fork."

This sentence can be shortened to give a more dramatic effect.

"Now, the community is relaunching Asia Coin with a hard fork."

Notice we remove the word, "trying" because we are not trying, we are doing this!!  It makes a statement that the community is fixing this!

This page also has a lot of interchanging of "AC" and "AsiaCoin."  I would pick one and stick with it.  Or...if you're going to shorten Asia Coin to AC, do so the very first time you say it and then use AC from then on.  For example, "Background:  AsiaCoin (AC)..."  And then every time you mention AsiaCoin from here on out on this page, say, "AC."  Either one is acceptable, just be consistent.

Edit: The site looks great.  Thank you guys for everything you're doing.

Thanks for this as well. Fixed.  Smiley

The website looks great.  I have several grammatical recommendations.

On the FAQ, you say, "This was discovered a few days ago by a developers at BitCoinTalk forums..."  - "a developers" is singular/plural mismatch.

If it was discovered by more than one developer, remove the "a" and say, "This was discovered a few days ago by developers at..."

If it was discovered by one developer, make "developer" singular and say, "This was discovered a few days ago by a developer at..."

I would also remove the sentence, "He added lines of code to the source to hide the real total number of coins from us." It doesn't make sense to start a new paragraph with that sentence.  I would re-word the first sentence to be, "The original developer of Asia Coin added source code which allowed him to premine a block containing a significant number of coins.  Some of these coins were then distributed to exchanges and sold to honest buyers and investors."  Everyone knows he made a fortune and there's no need to give him any credit with the last sentence of the first paragraph on this new page so remove it.

This sentence also contains an error:  "We believe in Asia Coin, as do most of you who invested in this coin. We believe that this issue can be fixed, by voiding the premined coins and not allowing them to stake or be transferred."

I would shorten it to (note comma removal in the middle):  "We believe in Asia Coin.  We believe that this issue can be fixed by voiding the premined coins and not allowing them to stake or be transferred.  This ensures only valid coins can be spent in the future."

Everything is good until:  "Do i have to wait 1 year for the 100%" - The "i" needs to be capitalized.

This sentence needs a comma somewhere or rephrasing:  "If you move your coins however it’ll take another 14 days to make them generate PoS blocks again."

I would rephrase to: "However, if you move your coins, it will take another 14 days to make them generate PoS blocks again."

This needs to be two sentences (and remove informal "kinda"):  "This could happen, PoS kinda works like a lottery and not everyone will receive their interest every hour."

It should be:  "This could happen.  PoS works similar to a lottery and not everyone will receive their interest every hour."

Thanks. You're right. I have updated the FAQ page.

Hello guys, I got some asiacoin stuck on polinex.

When can I use/exchange it for the new one?

There won't be exchange to a new coin. We are patching the existing blockchain. Your coins will remain valid.

Once you send a transaction, there is no way to cancel/revert it.

Well good news is premine still hasn't moved yet.. which i guess means the original dev seems like he's not doing anything more to screw this effort over... Smiley

mullick (from Cryptsy) was kind enough to put up a block explorer: http://199.231.191.241:2750/chain/AsiaCoin?count=20

he's also testing the patch now after he to it tonight.

Hi micryon,

I don't have much time to keep myself updated with all the news, and mainly, who are the dev team now, beside you. Just wanted to say that I'll gladly donate to you as soon as everything is fixed and is up and running, and I get my Asiacoin finances in shape. Keep up the good work!

You can see the team details here.

Announcements:

Dear Community,

I  have very good news. The work on the fix is underway and we have made great progress. In the meantime:

Mintpal has confirmed to me that they are happy to relist Asia Coin when the issue is fixed, as long as the old developer is not part of the team.

Both Pool.mn and Obfuscode.Net have confirmed to me that they will provide Asia Coin paying multipools very soon. Actually you can now send your hashrate to http://ac2.pool.mn/ to mine Scrypt coins, and they will payout in Asia Coin when it is relisted. The pool already has over 67 MH/s hashrate! How amazing is that Smiley

Most of the work on the website is done. We have purchased the domain name, arranged hosting and web design by members of our amazing community. Once the website is ready (later today), it will be announced here.

----

I would also like to advise against buying or selling your AC in forum topics for very low prices. I've seen this going on for a couple of days. I advise againts selling because your coins will be worth a lot more once the issue is fixed and AC is relisted (the people who buy from you know this, that's why they're buying), and I advise against buying because the people who are selling their AC are part of this community, the same as you and I are, but may not even be aware of our efforts and progress, and I believe they deserve to save their investment as much as every one of us do.

This is very encouraging, you guys!  Grin

But now I'm starting to wonder.  What steps are we taking against the dev/scammer? Surely he's not going to take lying down the fact that his wallet is being locked out or his coins are being voided from here out? What's stopping him from just swapping to a new wallet or even astroturfing the premine to a whole lot of seemingly innocent wallets?

EDIT: Though, now that I think about it, I'd be willing to forgo transparency for security if you guys are actually keeping that part a secret in case the dev is reading. >.> That dirty fker.

We can track any movement of his coins and we can void those blocks, yes if he starts moving them it will only be a pain but nothing that can't be done.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] Official Asia Coin Revival | Hard Fork and Voiding Pre-Mine on: May 05, 2014, 07:36:30 AM
First Post has been updated with exchange information and donations.

I think alot of premine is already dumped on the market, if Community should work, not only bagholders should make something out of this, all bagholders here are only in it to gain the lost money, what about all bagholders come together and give the real Community a giveaway so much more pople can be in this, becouse the Community can't mine to gain anything in the end .. only to give the bagholders a chance to sell there lost money, otherwise I see no value in a rebirth other than for the bagholders to try gain what they lost with this, if others don't see that then they also will loose money to a coin that will die again.

So come up with ideas how we all should gain on this ? Otherwise stop talk about the Community, I only see a "Community" with alot of AC that they don't want to loose

Our aim is not to provide a chance for bagholders to dump, but to provide a long term future for Asia Coin as all of us believed in its future when we invested. I don't see any reason for people to dump, when the issue is patched and a responsible and transparent development team has taken over.

Please do not forget that Asia Coin was not a small coin that had some bag holders. We had over 1000 BTC trade volumes on many days at Mintpal.
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] Official Asia Coin Revival | Hard Fork and Voiding Pre-Mine on: May 05, 2014, 07:25:23 AM
Amazing news:

I was just contacted by the developer of Bter.com and he showed support that Bter.com will re-enable trades once the issue is patched. we have confirmation from two exchanges now that once we solve the problem, AC will be relisted.

I am very confident that Mintpal, Bittrex and Poloniex will also follow.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] Official Asia Coin Revival | Hard Fork and Voiding Pre-Mine on: May 05, 2014, 06:41:50 AM
It's fot this solution also the best way to withdraw AC from Mintpal or is the best to let it there in the wallet?

Both will work as the existing block chain will be maintained. My suggestion: Leave them there, wait for the fixed wallet and then withdraw to your own wallet to stake or move to another exchange for trade.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Vertcoin | Scrypt N | Beat ASICs | Must upgrade wallet due to a bug in OpenSSL on: May 05, 2014, 06:39:38 AM
I don't see the point, well maybe one, of holding onto GPU rigs even if is for Scrypt-n. Right now I can mine Scrypt altcoins on a multipool with ASICs that auto converts to VTC. For this reason I'm thinking of reducing the number of GPU rigs and just getting more ASIC sometime in June. The one thing that's stopping me from pulling that trigger is to wait and see how the adoption of side-chains pan out. I'm not dead-set in this personal point of view otherwise I wouldn't be posting in a forum to hear counter ideas. Monocle is an amazing working proof of concept. Much respect to the coders.

General big picture musings:
I'm a fan of Vertcoin. With the developers and growing mindshare I can't see how it won't continue to gain more acceptance. A trifecta of SHA256, Scrypt, and Scrypt-n is a good thing for the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Don't create imaginary boundaries in your head between the 3 because one flows into the other which can flow into the next and back again. The word 'currency' is exactly that, the flow, the current. In the end they will all help to strengthen each other. The creation of side-chains is, I think, a response to the exclusivity of hash power, ie competing for hash rates. I think more folks in this space are realising that inclusivity is far more advantageous. We are not competing with each other, we are trying to undermine (pun!) the arseholes like paypal, credit card companies, and western union to name but a few.

Vertcoin has already been mentioned on Cavirtex (the real Canadian one) to be added into the main exchange in an email sent out to all Cavirtex members. I also voted for it to be added into the exchange, a linked poll in the email, as I'm sure many others have too. Although I'm not a fan of the suits in charge of Cavirtex.

Current status:
As always, cautiously optimistic Smiley

Let me tell you what will happen when ASICs are mainstream:

ASICs will rule the Scrypt mining ecosystem, the same way that they do on BTC now.
The difficulty of the Scrypt coins will increase, whereas the number of people who mine them will decrease.
Those GPU miners will leave Scrypt for the **ASIC Resistant** coins, such as VTC, UTC, EXE.
The difficulty on those ASIC Resistant coins will increase, so does the number of people who mine them.
As demand for Scrypt coins goes down, the price also goes down, because even though difficulty is high, it's still **really** low per the number of people who mine them.
Multipools will dump Scrypt coins to buy ASIC Resistant coins or PoS coins, but in the meantime, the difficulty of those ASIC Resistant coins is high with a high number of miners, this would derive their price high.

=> Investing in ASICs = Buying expensive hardware to mine cheap coins, in order to swap them with expensive coins. Bad investment. I think GPU mining will NEVER be more profitable than when ASICs come out.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AC] Official Asia Coin Revival | Hard Fork and Voiding Pre-Mine on: May 05, 2014, 05:28:45 AM
Dear Community

Since we are doing a hard fork, and if other changes to the structure and ecosystem are required, it must be done now. We aimed to be completely transparent and this requires us to really listen to everyone about an important issue: How much should it stake in the first year?

Asia Coin was supposed to stake 100% during its first year, that is not possible due to the extra 30 million AC that was dumped from the premined block. However, we can still do a high value (basically 190 million -> 320 million). It is also possible to reduce staking to a significantly lower value.

So as a community, we need to decide what to do, and the issue is now up for debate. Please respectfully state your opinions (and reasoning/justification is obviously much better than just stating a number Smiley ).
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]AsiaCoin v2 [AC2] - PoS on: May 05, 2014, 04:00:30 AM
you may be right. so like how the old WC coin is still the same coin, it still retains value and ppl respect it. But not all the premine has to be voided i mean we can change the 100% interest to 1% or something so the 30mill sold can exist peacefully with the other 160million. and the remaining coins from the big premine can be voided.

That's exactly what's going to happen. 30 mil sold will be there, interests will be adjusted, the big premine will be voided. Please head over to the new thread where we explained them in big detail.

Thanks.

i didn't mine any of  AC but i bought all my coins and i have around 600k AC will i lose any of my coins if they were from the premined?

or the new code will only kill the premined coins in the dev's wallet?

No you won't lose them, and yes, it will only kill the premined coins in the dev's wallet.

you should delete the scam description on twitter. Start fresh, and this scam is not your fault. just saying  Grin Official Fork sounds better to me.

I edited and removed the "scam" word. Please retweet and spread the word, especially if you have a lot of followers which helps a lot. I know there are a lot of AC investors who don't even know about this thread.
