With 13 games remaining, I think it will be very difficult for Girona and Barcelona to catch Real Madrid and talk about the La Liga title race. Madrid has really appeared solid and consistent this season. They only lost once. They have a very good winning mentality. I think with a difference of 8 points from Barcelona and 6 points from Girona it is a very big difference in points. I have never seen Madrid underperform this season. They have really performed well in La Liga and the Champions League.
Madrid felt lucky, when they performed poorly Girona could not maximize the opportunity to win. A draw mybe would have been better. I saw Girona perform below their best. Especially in defense. The 2 goals were defensive errors. I'm not sure if this is the start of Girona running out of steam. They've lost 2 consecutive matches. Maybe if they manage to win the next game against Rayo they still have a chance to continue to catch Real Madrid. In few terms we can call Real Madrid lucky but still we can't predict title race is over because remaining 13 matches can bring many changes at the top with recently we have injuries for the Real Madrid and things are not challengeable for the other teams so they can cut this difference which will make end of this season entertaining but as we have Girona against Athletic Bilbao this was really frustrating with Barcelona is also leaking too many goals which are surely matter of concern Atlético Madrid and Athletic Bilbao are having more than 11 points difference which is not easy while you are also not performing as needed so it's going to be good and competitive end of the season in La Liga with four teams are fighting for the three spots, and we have to wait until last few matches for the perfect prediction. It's a great thing that Man City is not very far behind Liverpool. They need to make up 5 points but have one less game played, assuming they'll win it, that brings it down to only 2 points. They will be playing against each other in 5 weeks from now, on 9th March. If both teams remain consistent until then, the game should be an absolute thriller and could be a deciding factor in who will win the league. Liverpool should be a slight favourite as they'll have a home-ground advantage, currently slightly better defence and their previous game in Manchester was a 1-1 draw. Then again, in April City gave Liverpool a solid beating winning 4-1, so everything is possible.
Manchester City is trying its possible way to get back at the top and I think Manchester City has forgotten the fact that Arsenal is behind them, and any position they are taking Arsenal is behind taking their on the step too since we both have 46 points and there is still hope for arsenal to for the championship because at some point I was losing hope because the way arsenal lost three games was just not a good time for us to be losing does games but we seem to be back on track and ready to continue at a very beautiful performance. the only clubs I fear are Liverpool and Manchester City because the truth is that Arsenal does not have the capacity of defeating them. and within five weeks nobody will go easy on there self's. and look at the way Liverpool performed even without Salah that is scary Chelsea should be able to testify.  The problem Arsenal had the last time they met Liverpool was inability to convert their chances into goals,they are playing beautiful football, possession and dominating football,then when they will have a clean chance to score,they will waiste it.This is unlike Mancity and Liverpool,Mancity makes sure they use the little chances got to score goals because they are aware that the chances rarely comes,and when it comes,it is good to utilise it well. |
