Yes, recently Girona's performance has really decreased, like against Real Sociedad, Girona was not optimal in getting points and in the match against Madrid, Girona lost to Real Madrid with a fantastic score, namely 4-0 and in the continued match with Bilbao he also failed to get points. FYI, the gap owned by real madrid to the girona is pretty small. If real madrid will make another mistake and it will be lost its change to lead the competition. Ancellotti must be doing something to break the low block. Low block was very often used by low tier team to reduce the attacking line of big team. This is the only way owned by the small team to put a lot of its players to create a big wall in front of the goal keeper.

I also think that Girona is not a competitor for Real Madrid this season. Even though it surprised people by managing to be in first place for several weeks, I think Girona's level and quality is still below Real Madrid. I respect Girona but I am also realistic. One big challenge for a team like Girona is rotating players. A mediocre team that suddenly becomes a title contender will usually struggle in the second half of the season due to injury or fatigue. This is different from a team like Real Madrid which has good squad depth.

Girona is strange, how could they lose when they found out that Real Madrid got a draw last week and instead failed to get the full 3 points against Bilbao. I think they forgot and threw away this golden opportunity to be able to get closer to Real Madrid in the title race and unfortunately as the visiting team they are still not strong enough to beat Bilbao.
