I saw Tuchel under a lot of pressure after the defeat in the first leg against Lazio. Bayern Munich did not have a single shot on target from their 17 attempts, which is one of the less good statistics about them. If Bayern Munich fails in the Champions League this season, especially in the round of 16, then Tuchel will probably not be safe until the end of the season.

It will definitely get a lot of pressure for Tuchel because they failed to win in the last two matches, especially with Lazio, which can be said that this team is inferior to Bayern Munich, so many conclude that despite playing away there is more confidence Bayern will win than lose.

Mancity and Real Madrid have been able to beat their opponents in the first leg of the round 16 champions league game.Mancity won in a way that I'm not sure Copenhagen would be able get a chance in qualifying,Mancity have already qualified from that round,because their opponent cannot come back to beat them 4:1 in their next leg.On the other hand,Madrid are not yet sure whether they will qualify or not because the way Liepzig played them in the first leg even if they lose, was something one would say Madrid really have a difficult work to do in other to win liepzig again and qualify in the second leg.

I think it's much simpler than that. Real Sociedad in general this season is not very good, looking at their statistics for the last 5 matches I think that the maximum they can count on is a draw and I doubt it. PSG are not so bad to lose to them, I think the round of 1/8 for PSG a priori passed

However, today it looks like the PSG vs Real Sociedad match will be much more interesting than the Lazio vs Bayern Munich match. Because Bayern Munich has an opponent that is not very balanced in my opinion, I prefer to see the match for PSG because at least there is a little balance in terms of performance even though Real Sociedad has started to not be very good in some of its matches recently. However, in the Champions League anything can happen because Real Sociedad can also surprise PSG with their performance.

I didn't initially think that Real Sociedad could somehow compete against PSG, which was evident in yesterday's match. PSG totally dominated in many aspects, it's strange that the score was only 2-0, because PSG had more than 2 good chances, but a win is a win.

But Bayern surprised me, because I thought they were favourites for this match, but they earned a suspension and a penalty in their own goal.... Moreover, Lazio didn't let them shoot on goal at all, they didn't look like themselves yesterday.

Bayern Munich is such a big club with a very rich history in football; elimination in the CL RO16 to an opponent like Lazio is definitely unacceptable and if it happens this season, then there is a 9 out of 10 chance that Tuchel will be fired immediately. I was considering Bayern Munich to be one of the top contenders to win the CL this season, but right now i don't think they are at that sort of level to do so, they definitely cannot defeat City, thus at this point in time, i think it is either City will successfully defend their title or Real Madrid will win it, this is my feeling right now.

Luis Enrique is happy with this first leg win and he can really look at the second leg with high optimism. It wasn't easy for Sociedad to beat PSG, but there was still a gap for Real Sociedad to score.

Well, one of Inter Milan's strengths at the moment is that they are strong in almost all lines, they are strong in defense, they have a good attack line and they also have good performance in the midfield. This is a big capital for them before actually facing Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

This tie between Inter and Atletico is another tie in the UCL that I'm looking forward to. Inter is currently the better side. In the league, they're the team that has scored the most goals and they're still the team that has conceded the least goals.  Inter Milan is one of the teams that are in the most form in Europe currently so they have the advantage.
The problem is, that Atletico is a team that defies logic. They may not be in excellent form to cause trouble for their opponents. They're fighters and they don't give up. Even though Inter are favorites, you can't write Atletico off. I'm looking forward to both legs of that game, I just hope it doesn't disappoint. I'm putting my money on Inter and I have a feeling there will be goals in that match.

PSG was a better side all through that game and so the result that was seen at the end of that game isn't far from expectations, because as a better side PSG was expected to win the game but then as a way to show some form of resistance I was expecting to see a goal from Real socidad, I know they haven't been better but a gola would have said better of them.

PSG is now looking promising gradually but I wouldn't want to be quick, I will hope they get pass the round of sixteen first then I will anticipate a very good performance from them before the end of the they get eliminated from the champions league because I don't see them lifting the champions league trophy by the end of the season as PSG doesn't seem to possess such capacity this season except they get too lucky and miracles happens around all their play.

The match was such an easy one to predict even before the match was played. PSG have a lot of experience in the champions league and their knockout stage draw against Real Soceidad will be an easy one for them to advance to the next round of the competition. They are lucky, just like Manchester City who are playing against a team that is of less superiority than them.

After their two goals win at home, going for away won’t be a problem to them either to get a victory. I trust them and with the performance they exhibited in this match, they can be able to defeat Real Soceidad again when they meet in the second leg. I would have done the same, if not for the red card, who is Lazio to beat Bayern Munich even on their worst form. The goal Lazio scored was a minute after Upamecano was sent off from the pitch and they defended massively for the rest of the remaining matches but the is just the first round, their is round 2 since the goal is just 1, it will be quick to fix when they meet again.
The players were chearing up the fans immediately after the game and I like that, that's how responsible team does, learn to take accountability and the fans will not give up on you.

PSG was viewed as a weak team based on their recent performance and how they fared prior to qualifying for the Champions League knockout stage. Real Soceidad was not supposed to be a problem for PSG, who we all know are good Champions League teams with a lot of experience here to help them win against them. Even in the second leg, I am confident that PSG will win.

Sometimes we played too much on how we view football matches otherwise, why would anyone think Real Sociedad that is sitting in 5th place on their league is expected to beat PSG that is ruling Ligue1? They have some irregularities, yes but this is not the type of team that will push PSG away from this Champions league, maybe in another place but not in this one or when they meet with Arsenal after knockout stage.

This season, Manchester City has shown itself to be a formidable team. Manchester City is making a great effort to win every game because of the manner they are able to defeat every opponent in every league, including the premier league and the champion league. Since they worked hard and made an effort to defeat their opponents, Real Madrid has really performed quite well this season. Real Madrid has developed into the season's most formidable squad as well.

Everyone was startled by how they were attempting to control the top standings in the La Liga trophy, because they was, expected Girona to remain at the top of the standings, but Real Madrid stepped in with their force and took over the top standings. I can see they worked hard to keep the Champions League the same, as evidenced by their victory in the round of 16 match between Manchester City and Real Madrid, we never know who will qualify in the second leg, because both the two teams are in better form this season.

I totally forgot that today is a UCL night and almost missed the games.

Don't you often check the UCL information?
I often check the UCL previous matches because I need to analyze some matches. That makes me often to update information related to UCL matches. So I never forgot the schedule.  

I do, often. I was aware of UCL resumption but totally got caught up with daily activities. I watched that City match though. I don't go really crazy with schedules. Either I hear about upcoming games from commentators or I see it on sports content creators pages.

Also, Liverpool didn't qualify for 2023/2024 UCL — that's part of the reasons Why I'm not in full sync with UCL schedule.

I managed to watch the entirely of City's first half which I would say both teams were well matched but City had the edge due to the brilliance of KDB (again). My biggest regret however, is the fact that I was unaware of the Real Madrid  odds vs Leipzig. It was 2+ solid odds and I would've made some good money today.

Man City with full teams is in another level, they are not matched with Copenhagen. I think the score should be more than 5 goals. But it is okay to have 3 goals only. According to the stats, Man City was really dominating the match. They even won the ball possession 79% and made 27 shots.  

Real Madrid only scored 1 goal. But it is enough to win the away match. At least, Real Madrid is leading the aggregate with 1 goal now.

Even though it wasn't that high of a goal margin, I'm of the opinion that City has good standing in their playoffs return leg with Copenhagen next month. As for Real Madrid, they're really flying right from back to back crucial wins that have seen them take full control of La Liga table and their playoffs with Leipzig. The return leg is in Spain so I expect another win for Madrid.

Let's see what happens if Real Sociedad can change their stats in their next match against PSG. In the second leg, Real Sociedad still has hope if they can score two goals in the game but I know it will be difficult for them to score two goals, win the game, and qualify for the quarter-finals. I just believe that PSG will qualify for the quarter-finals alongside Manchester City and Real Madrid for the time being because both of them perform well and win their matches. Bayern Munich are under the probability of qualifying if they win the second leg since I didn't enjoy watching Bayern Munich vs Lazio game is not entertaining like psg vs Real Sociedad, let's see who will get to the final thing times.

I think PSG and Real Sociedad are at a different level I mean PSG is certainly more favored based on the squad and experience therefore PSG seems to win easily in this match  and in the second leg I am sure PSG is able to secure their position, I am confident that PSG will go on the next round. The same as Bayern Munich, they lost in the first leg when playing away but in the second leg I was sure Bayer Munich would destroy Lazio. Bayern Munich is a team that always succeeded in reaching the semi -finals therefore I do not doubt it.

Most people argue that Real Madrid will dominate the Champions League, I did not reject it, but if the opponent is a team of the Premier League then I think they have the same opportunity and Manchester City one of the main candidates who will go to the final, while the team from Serie A will be eliminated earlier imo. This week we will wait for the match between Inter Milan vs Atletico Marid.

Paris Saint Germaine's dominance display in their first leg match if the round of 16 tie against Real Sociedad was a surprise to me. I had already predicted a Paris Saint Germaine win in that game but I never expected them to dominate the game like they did and that's a strong indication that Paris Saint Germaine is very much prepared to have a great campaign in the UCL this season.

Real Sociedad still have a chance to over turn the deficit when they play host to the French champions in three weeks time but considering how impressive and formidable the Paris Saint Germaine team is at the moment, I don't think the Spanish La Liga club stands any chance to stop PSG from progressing to the next round.

I dunno what's wrong with sociedad coz it was taking the big risk to play 433 against PSG which superior compared with it. It was a very wrong thing taken by sociedad. I think that the second leg will be a challenge for sociedad coz it was losing with a lot of goals against PSG. The wrong strategy has been costing sociedad a lot.
Sociedad should have taken defensive strategy instead of playing attacking strategy. The sociedad coach was so stupid but psg is getting good result and ez money from this match. Let's see whether the sociedad's coach will repeat the stupid mistake that being made in the first leg.

Im only wondering that whether sociedad will be trying so hard to beat PSG on the second leg by using the same strategy showed in the first leg. I would like to calll sociedad's coach as a dumbest coach.
it doesn't even know how to decrease the risk to lose against PSG. Playing defensively at away game much more sense rather than attacking strategy.

I thought PSG would struggle to score even one goal against Sociedad. Real Sociedad is not good enough to compete with PSG, even in their next game, after watching their performance against PSG, I think PSG will still win.

There is a possibility of different levels if you compare several sectors with the PSG squad and Real Sociedad players, PSG is filled with expensive players and has top names while Real Sociedad only has a few players who are expected by the Real Sociedad coach, and that is very different. If you look at the match between the two clubs, of course most people will be favored by PSG, maybe in this match Real Sociedad will only be underestimated by football observers, so of course there will be differences in the quality of the game.
