321  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance Founder CZ said that, Copy trading now live on Binance. on: October 11, 2023, 12:09:59 PM
Although copy trading is a well-established strategy on other exchanges,
Binance seems to have some advantages and benefits for members who join as lead traders or as copy traders.

Lead traders can receive a 10% profit share from their copy traders.
The remaining 90% goes to their copy traders. In addition, they receive a 10% commission on their copy traders' trading fees.

I think other exchanges also share a similar business model. The only advantages i see binance having are massive liquidity and a huge community from all over the world. It is obvious why binance has the biggest copy traders in the crypto industry. Binance wants to keep its competitive nature despite the fud about them and they are trying to provide all the services a user needs.
322  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchange that offer depositing bitcoin from segwit address? on: October 11, 2023, 12:05:08 PM
Do you know any exchange that accept deposit from bitcoins native segwit address beside binance, coinbase, gemini, okex and kucoin? I tried to find one but most of them support deposit only from bitcoin legacy address.

Maybe we should assumed this as something of the past before the introduction of the SegWit Address, but now that it's no more a story and everyone is aware of such, i don't think there are exchanges as before that does not support SegWit, most people are also using these same address as long as it's widely accepted by the bitcoin community at large everywhere all over the world, any exchages that does not support SegWit is still operating under old century.

I guess you don't use centralized exchanges much. Otherwise you wouldn't make such a statement. I have tried to find segwit deposit exchange in most of the top tire exchanges. Only a few exchanges that i found supported the Segwit deposit mentioned in the OP. However i can see that the Segwit address has been used mostly for small transactions to save gas fees. Making $100 worth of transactions by spending $5 in fees is not cost efficient.
323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade only Bitcoin on: October 11, 2023, 10:25:02 AM

Trading bitcoin is indeed safer than altcoins, I often trade altcoins and the results are disappointing, small price fluctuations of around 1 to 5 percent are ideal for making a profit from trading bitcoin, while fluctuations in altcoins which can reach tens or even hundreds of percent are like a roller coaster.
I wanted to say instead "Holding bitcoin is safer than altcoins" when trading has the equivalent risk that altcoins have. My assumption is that you were referring to the risk associated with intraday trading. To trade and make profit from a certain market requires substantial knowledge about the market including basic and fundamental knowledge about that asset. If your knowledge about altcoin market behavior is better than that of bitcoin then you will do better in trading altcoin.

The risks of trading bitcoin and altcoins are the same because both have price volatility. Traders who are experienced and have good analytical skills can use everything to gain profits, but they obviously have to consider the risks of each coin they trade. Altcoins are a good alternative to choose in trading, but they should close positions as quickly as possible after making decent profits.

I don't trade as much as other traders, but several times altcoins have actually been more profitable for me than trading bitcoin. So I never blame traders who choose altcoins to trade instead of just bitcoin, that is their choice.

Book profits should be based on various factors. Sometimes a token rallies up way before the news event happens. This rally can continue until the end of the events which depends on the importance of those events. There is a saying in the crypto market and that is "Buy the rumors and sell the news". If there is a rumor going on then you should start accumulating that project and book the profit as soon as the news event releases.
324  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason of why Bitcoin is good for trading (for me) on: October 11, 2023, 05:02:29 AM
Bitcoin is good for trading, because Bitcoin gives us high returns in short time. But for this you need to be successful in trading. That is, you have to trade correctly. If you fail in trading then all your money is zero.  So you learn more and more about trading. But you will be successful in trading and earn a lot of money.
A trader should not only have an idea about Bitcoin trading but also have a complete understanding of trading. If he has a complete understanding of trading, he can trade well in any coin. Trading in Bitcoin will not give you short term returns as the price of Bitcoin does not fluctuate as much as other ALT coins. Bitcoin I do not choose for futures trading as well as Bitcoin is my first choice for long term investment plans. Trading in Bitcoin may make your profit a bit less compared to other coins but trading in Bitcoin is safe. I use bitcoin for futures trading as bitcoin trading is safe. Since there is not much volatility in the market, I do not find Bitcoin trading too risky.

Having technical and fundamental knowledge is important if someone wants to make a career in trading. Understanding your risk tolerance ratio and your money management strategy is equally important. If you have strong fundamentals in all of these then you can trade any asset in any market. Market behavior is different for every asset but their price action and chat analysis are similar in some aspects.
325  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade only Bitcoin on: October 11, 2023, 04:45:33 AM
Trading is a lifetime skill that is always beneficial if you know what you are doing, the biggest mistake of traders is trading alt that most times doesn't obey market structure,
when it comes to cryptocurrency, trade only Bitcoin.
Bitcoin doesn't just give you profit, it gives you security, it obeys market structure, for the past 2yrs I have been trading, I only have losess only when I trading Alt, price action trading I utilize will trading always gives me result when trading Bitcoin, but when it comes to Alt I really do feel as if am gambling, so my fellow traders, trade only Bitcoin, I don't know if anyone feel the same way?

326  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary Members Spread Completely Fake Information - Merit System Do Not Work on: October 11, 2023, 04:39:39 AM
The OP-mentioned posts haven't got any merit, as far as I can see and it has nothing to do with the merit system. I understand the OP's concern. He must be thinking about how this person became a legendary member who shared this kind of misinformation! The truth is some legendary members became members of that reputable rank by merit airdrop. If you check their recent merit section you will notice they haven't gotten many merits recently.

Also a user spreads misinformation, but that doesn't mean he is bad at every field of expertise. They can be very good on other boards. However if that information is not 100% correct then why don't you criticize it on that original topic and correct the misinformation he spread? It doesn't make sense to create a new topic in meta by telling everyone the merit system is bad.

4) Market Conditions are not Favourable

Every technical Analyst knows when things are unfavourable. The skill of spotting unfavorably conditions in the market is gotten by practice and study. If you are a technical analyst and you don't know please try and develop yourself.

Knowing when to buy crypto in the market, and when to sell to make huge amount of profits is very important to crypto traders, which new traders have to acquire the knowledge to enable them to achieve what will make them happy in the crypto industry. It will be very difficult for you to earn well from your crypto trading when the price is low in the crypto market, because potential crypto traders don't use to trade their coins when the bearish season is on ground than to wait for bullish season to come before they can trade. I don't think, is good for traders to trade their coins in this bearish market because the price is not stable yet but it will going to be stable soon for long term traders and short term traders to smile again.

It is not important to always look for favorable conditions in the market. The market always gives us the opportunity to trade, you just need to build up your own strategy to do so. There is no limitation to making perfect strategies and if your money management skills are the best then no matter how badly the market reacts you won't take significant loss. I know people who made decent profits even in bear markets.

However it is not important to chase the market and always trade even if it is not suitable for you. My point is that every market situation is tradeable you just need to find the right way to do that.
328  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Is Better Than Digital Gold on: October 10, 2023, 03:01:00 PM
The connection between gold and bitcoin (BTC) as stores of value is obvious, and the demand for BTC as a digital store of value was a big reason why the cryptocurrency grew in popularity, crypto services provider Matrixport said in a report Monday.
Bitcoin’s market capitalization is $540 billion, equivalent to 10.8% of the market cap of physical financial gold, Matrixport said, adding that gold exchange-traded-funds (ETFs) are valued at $200 billion. Read

BTC became a store of value because of its ability to fight inflation. Gold can do the same thing but its price is not as volatile as bitcoin which makes it less profitable than bitcoin historically. If it was better than gold then why don't all the gold investors come to bitcoin right away? Bitcoin gives the world the impression that in every bull cycle it gives multiple X profits which gold doesn't. So those who believe it will do the same in the future and invest in bitcoin. Also bitcoin can work as a store of value so it's a double game for them. Bitcoin is performing better than gold so as long as it can continue doing that i have no problem keeping my savings in bitcoin.
329  Economy / Economics / Re: Women are more economical than men. on: October 10, 2023, 02:53:43 PM
I do not agree with the title. If that were true then most of the applicants would be women. It has nothing to do with gender. We should choose our profession based on our interests. If you do not enjoy your work then you will not be able to be proficient in it. If a woman has an interest in music and becomes an accountant, then she won't produce quality output.

However genetically men are stronger than women and in some cases, smart as well. That doesn't mean all the women are dumb and all the men are smart.
330  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade only Bitcoin on: October 10, 2023, 02:45:16 PM
Long-term trading with altcoins pairs is considered useless in the long term and may cause losses, so it is better to limit your trading in altcoins to medium- and short-term trading. If you are a professional, short-term trading over limited periods may be profitable and make you earn more Bitcoin, but the greater the risk, the greater the profit, the less security, and the greater the possibility of losing your currencies. Therefore, if you have sufficient experience, I suggest that you risk 10%, if you try to avoid risks just invest in Bitcoin and avoid trading.

I agree with you that most of the altcoins are useless and scams. Their business model and tokenomic are crap. But there are some projects that offer real revenue for their investors. Those protocols share their profits with their investors or use them to buy back and burn their tokens from circulation. That's why few projects show substantial growth even in the bear market.

The risk tolerance idea is great that we should not risk 10% of our total portfolio in the altcoin. It's high risk high reward scenario so being greedy can cause us financial damage.
331  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is there any safe ways out there to get 10-15 % ANY return rate ? on: October 10, 2023, 02:40:05 PM
is there any safe ways out there to get 10-15 % ANY return rate ?

as far as banks i noticed maximum 5 %

crypto exchanges upto 15 %   - but are they safe to put money there ? like nexo , kucoin ?

Chasing high yield products can lead you to Ponzi scams. You can lend your ETH, WBTC or other stable coin in any leading protocol to generate 3%-5% yield. If any project is offering a super high yield that means they need to generate that much revenue as well to sustain the selling pressure from stakeholders. Most of the time they can not and end up being rug pulled to their investors or the price dumped heavily.
332  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Things we should know about the price action on candlestick pattern on: October 10, 2023, 02:36:01 PM
Candlestick patterns can be a great way to make predictions of the future price in forex, option and stock trading but in terms of crypto this type of pattern will not have any meaning if there are any news events. Any negative or positive news can prove your prediction wrong if it is only based on candlesticks. There are people who still follow these old methods to trade crypto but there won't be much positive result from using them. Support and resistance are the only two most powerful price actions that can give accurate predictions most of the time in crypto.
333  Economy / Economics / Re: No petrol/diesel car sales by 2035/ Reality or dream? on: October 09, 2023, 06:54:13 PM
Many governments are moving to push hard to reduce sales of diesel and petrol cars, the European Parliament has officially approved a law banning the sale of new petrol and diesel cars in the EU from 2035

Quote
The landmark law will require carmakers to cut down CO2 emissions by 100 percent.
The 100 percent cut in CO2 emissions from new cars sold would make it impossible to sell petrol or diesel-powered cars in the 27-country bloc. The law that comes into effect in phases that will require a 55 percent cut in CO2 emissions for new cars starting 2030, which is a much higher target in comparison to the current 37.5 percent.

Source ---> https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/auto/electric-cars/no-petrol/diesel-car-sales-by-2035-european-parliament-approves-ban/articleshow/97939363.cms

Some reports indicate that the costs of running an electric car are actually lower than the costs of running a car with an internal combustion engine.
So, will this goal be achieved by the year 2035? Will the cars be more efficient and at a good price compared to current prices, or is it a policy that may take decades?

In my country, our government is encouraging citizens to switch to electric vehicles, but what I'm surprised about is that the infrastructure is still inadequate, so the drive to use electric vehicles is stagnating.
Just imagine, to charge the car battery you have to wait several hours, what if you are in rush hour, regarding whether in 2035 oil vehicles will no longer be available, I am also not so sure, as long as the infrastructure is not adequate then it will be impossible for electric vehicles to succeed in displacing oil vehicles (in terms of sales and also citizen interest) in 2035.

There are pros and cons to using electric vehicles. We can not justify them only by seeing the cons. The whole world is facing problems because of carbon emission. It is time to rethink the use of fossil fuels and shift to an alternative source like renewable energy. So this can be the foothold for it and if the adoption increases on a global scale then those cons will be resolved easily.
334  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a Standing Desk the Right Choice for Traders? on: October 09, 2023, 06:48:52 PM

In the world of cryptocurrency trading, where every minute counts, the choice between a standing desk and a traditional chair can be a topic of hot debate. I've spent 15 years on trading floors, and I've experienced both sides of the spectrum. Standing desks have their perks, offering potential health benefits and increased alertness, which can be crucial for making quick decisions in the volatile crypto market.

I didn't know this could be a topic and I haven't got your point of making quick decisions by using a standing desk.

It depends on the user's desires and requirements. A desk that can change its highest can be a good option. If you think you want to work standing or sitting on a chair you can do that. Sometimes I also feel like it would have been convenient for me if I could change my body position frequently when working in front of my desk. I have seen this kind of desk is available in the Amazon store.
335  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Crypto Signals? on: October 09, 2023, 06:38:53 PM
Absulouty, not because most of these paid groups don't provide any analysis, facts, or related events behind their predictions. They just want you to buy the token that they have already bought before giving the signal. If you notice closely most of these projects and low cap coin so when their followers buy that token from the market that token gets a slight pump and that signal group claims how good their predictions are. A knowledgeable person won't join this type of group.
336  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any methods to do it? on: October 09, 2023, 06:08:38 PM
I am in crypto for a few years and i have good knowledge of the crypto markets and their behavior. For the past few years, I am mostly invested in some top crypto project and held it till I get decent profits. You can say i am a holder. Now i want to try something different. I want to try day trading methods to generate a daily income from the spot market.

Is that even possible to earn 50$-100$ every day with spot trading? If yes then what methods you are using and how do you manage your risk?

What is your portfolio, I must say that profit mostly depends on a person's portfolio, that is how much he has and how much ability he has to lose in trading at a time, he should cover himself.

The amount of $50-$100 needs a decent portfolio, through which you can generate this earning. above $15k would be better for it. How much experience do you have in crypto? If you have gained much experience and know the trading strategies then losing pressure will be less and the target is achievable, but if you are not experienced enough then it will be almost risky at some points.

But you have always been ready for a loss, some days you get more than $100, or also you can lose more than $100, so consistency is far more important, I hope you understand what I mean!

I can not totally agree on that. Having a strong portfolio is important but this is not the only factor that will give you an amazing result. A good money management strategy and having the courage to make the right decision in time are some key factors that should be on our minds. Without proper money management your portfolio can be at risk so I wanted to know the overall strategy. The plan to enter a trade, exit from it and use a money management strategy.
337  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchange that offer depositing bitcoin from segwit address? on: October 09, 2023, 05:00:50 PM
I am looking for CEX actually. Though i do not like them nor hold any funds there but sometimes i need to use them.
Hope you are ready for some KYC  Roll Eyes
Anyway, If this is your preference, I would suggest going for the top names of CeXs that you already mentioned or better yet use CMC exchange rankings >>>> https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges.

Out of curiosity what's the catch here, arbitrage trading or p2p and trying to find a good source for cheaper coins??

If that exchange has a good reputation then I have no problem with KYC but at first, I need to make sure they do support deposits for native segwit addresses. I saw that some CEX have a mandatory KYC policy where they don't even let you look at the supporting network for your deposit first. I know we can find it on the internet but all the sources are not reliable. Some exchange
338  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchange that offer depositing bitcoin from segwit address? on: October 08, 2023, 08:37:26 PM
Are you limiting your search to CEX or you are also looking for decentralized exchanges?

I am looking for CEX actually. Though i do not like them nor hold any funds there but sometimes i need to use them.

There is bitMax, Kraken and Bitstamp. But I don’t get why you can’t use the four exchanges because they are the most popular ones around and would be better than others.

You can look at this link for others https://bitcoinops.org/en/compatibility/

I am not sure about bitmax or bitstamp but kraken doesn't support deposit for segwit address. I looked at it before and bitstamp is not available in my region. By the way thanks for the link. I think I need to look for any dex that supports P2P transactions for that network.

I tried to find one but most of them support deposit only from bitcoin legacy address. I sometimes use binance but from the past few days having trouble to log into the platform and i don't want to use any from other 4. 340  Economy / Economics / Re: Without government job we can survive on: October 08, 2023, 05:06:47 PM
Online businesses are growing rapidly due to their ability to reach a wide range of customers quickly. Your offline business's targeted customers are based in a certain region while an online business can help a company sell their product on a global scale. Its cost efficiency in storage, salesman, security makes it the first choice for a company. You don't need to store your product in a warehouse as you can sell other products through a website. This is why dropshipping businesses are popular on the internet.
The dropshipping business was indeed popular, I was also dropshipping a few years ago but finally had to stop because of the online store policy that was fruitful and gave us only a little profit and the online store system that did not really support dropshipping.

In addition, there is a new phenomenon currently making waves in my country,
namely about TiktokShop which is a live-streaming platform for selling online at very low prices and can even get free shipping.

But when traced deeper, TiktokShop does not fully comply with the regulations in my country because it turns out that many foreign goods enter at very cheap prices and local goods lose out on the competition.

Finally, the Tiktokshop closure regulation has been running since September 4.
But I don't know what the regulations will be, maybe there will be some more adjustments.

https://www.thejakartapost.com/business/2023/10/04/tiktok-to-stop-sales-in-indonesia-after-social-commerce-ban.html

I have seen some people livestream on TikTok to sell their products. In my place some sellers do this kind of live selling in face and took orders for their products. Dropshipping is still a popular business and there isn't much regulatory action towards it. This TiktokShop you are talking about is still new in here but due to its popularity in the country i think this will also take it's place in the market.
