321  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Victim of LocalBitcoin Scam (Out of Escrow) on: June 01, 2015, 08:41:32 PM
Hi guys,

I have unfortunately being the victim of a scam out of escrow for €7,000. I had many good trades with this individual before. I don't have all his details but I'm building a better picture of him each day, he is from Ireland but currently living in Canada. I'm not sure how best to go about this, is there any legal trouble I might get into if I mention his name here on the forum etc? Any advice much appreciated.

Thanks

Doxxing or mentioning names of users is not allowed on the forum anymore. You can however post his username on localbitcoin to warn other members who might trade with him, along with the proof of trade. How did he scam out of escrow ? Did he win the dispute ?
322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How about your casino deposit bonus experince? on: June 01, 2015, 12:24:31 PM
A x35 rollover is pretty extreme to get the bonus.  When I see offers like that I don't even consider them legitimate and if I want to play at that casino, I'll just deposit and play but the fact they engage in such tactics is a big turnoff.

I understand not wanting to get taken advantage of, and the bitcoinworld is full of people happy to exploit bonuses, but x35 is equivalent to checking your money into a roach motel.

Good Luck!

35x rollover isn't really a strict requirement. Some casinos want you to just wager 35 times the deposit , so even if you roll on roulette 35 times(placing an equal amount on Red and Black) , then considering odds are "zero" happening once in those 35 times, many times it might not happen at all. So there is a decent chance of being able to cash out before losing it all.

324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does martingale really works? on: May 30, 2015, 08:45:33 PM
Not perfect work
we need more capital to try that

I try in primedice for 1 satosi martiangle I lose 0.1BTC
in 999dice and freebitcoin (multiple) I try martiangle too but iam still lose

Its not worth martingaling starting with 1 satoshi. It is known that over long time the strategy fails . You will not be getting a satisfactory amount in a smaller time period by betting 1 satoshi. Most of the people who martingale do it with around a bankroll to support 15 losses in a row. This way if you stop early and haven't hit a bad streak , you will still have a good amount won.
325  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does this exist? on: May 30, 2015, 10:15:19 AM
I'll offer that service for you. I'll charge only 1% of the transaction amount - fairly cheap! I've only heard of individuals doing this for any sort of transaction. However, I know some companies are providing the service you're describing for businesses. There's also a payroll service that will convert your paychecks to BTC for you.

Let me know if you need any service...I'd be happy to help!
How would you offer such a service ? The payment from his customer could be in paypal or credit card, and could very well be chargedback. So you would be taking a big risk here.
326  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does this exist? on: May 30, 2015, 07:07:36 AM
I'm just wondering if such a service exists.

Is there a service like this... for example

Lets say I wanted someone to pay some money to me, IE i sell some software or something to them..

the service deals with the payment, then gives me bitcoins in exchange for the payment.

Sorry if this seems confusing but it should be like this

person enters credit card information or pays money though service >--- the service pays me in bitcoin instead of direct money.

- Mfkgxjgu

What you are basically looking for is something like the reverse of Bitpay. I don't think anything like that exists presently. However if the buyer is based in Canada or a country which offers a service like QuickBT, then you can possibly walk them through and have them enter your Bitcoin address in the field to send coins to, and they can pay with Credit cards on there.
327  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing 25,000 m฿ Sweet Sixteen Step Sit-n-Go • PM Poker on: May 28, 2015, 08:09:48 PM
All ‘try again’ players will receive a lammer for the step won (indicated by a icon next to that step).

What is a lammer ? Also like Stars would it be possible to buy into an intermediate step directly ? Or does every player has to start from Step 1 ? And when will these be happening ?
328  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can Online live Roullette wheel be Rigged ? on: May 28, 2015, 06:19:23 PM
I did look at mbit but it seems it is linked to cloudbet. They have same dealers and everything . Even interface was almost same.
Yes, thats because the live room they host are the same . There are also many other sites which essentially has the same room, but the sites are different. They just rent the live feature from these companies.
EDIT: If you want another site with a different live table or room then check out Jetwin. They have a different live betting room .
329  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can Online live Roullette wheel be Rigged ? on: May 28, 2015, 06:16:05 PM
Forgot to ask are there any other sites you people will recommend for live Roulette ? I couldn't find many.
For live betting would suggest check out Cloudbet or Mbit. There are also couple others you could just google for.
330  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have 208 Pokerstars, Looking for BTC on: May 28, 2015, 04:48:15 PM
I know, but the first deal was to send you all the money and then you send the btc after 4 hours, or I send you half the money, you send the btc in 2 hours and then the other part in another 2 hours. After I told you that sending all the money and you sending me the btc in 4 hours was fine with me, you changed the deal telling me that I should send half the money and you send half of btc in 4 hours, and the second part in 4 more hours or tomorrow.
Well, it does not matter now. Thank you anyway.

Yes it doesn't matter. But just like people asking people to stay safe, PS is also sort of reversible, and I wanted you and I both to be safe for the transaction. You should also lock this now, if your deal is complete.

I might be interested in this if you are still selling. Shoot me a PM in that case.

Just a headsup, I would suggest waiting for 4 hours atleast after a trade. Pokerstars is reversible in some way

I am not saying the op is a scammer in anyway, but just a precaution.

Well, you asked me to wait for 4 hours and then you would send the btc. After that, you asked me to send one half and the other tomorrow. I know that you have to cover your ass, but that's too much. Thank you anyway.
I said, I would send the escrow all the money right away, and have him send it in parts or in time intervals, allowing enough time, so PS wouldn't respond to any requests to reverse the transfers. Just wanted to make it safer for both of us.

Has the problems with Windows 7 been fixed yet?  Can't seem to be able to install the .exe client.  It just keeps updating and updating and reinstalling.

I didn't seem to have any problems like such, though last I tried was a month back. It just used to update if I was to login after every 2nd day. But otherwise worked fine. Maybe redownload the client and try .

I did that many times.  Maybe it is some kind of software/anti virus/ firewall that is causing the problem for me.  But I did try to delete my anti virus....
It might be. You can try disabling your firewall, or rather just play on another computer if thats possible. Or the best hope would be to wait for the Online browser like the rest of us.

Hi, I have two old accounts here and I don't know why I can't recover the password of those accounts. Their names are fabrybtc and fabrybtc2 if you want to look for them.

Anyway, I have 208 usd in Pokerstars and I want to buy some BTC. I accept preev +10% rate. I send first if you are trusted.

I might be interested in this. I am fine with using an escrow. Just sending you a PM.
335  Economy / Services / Re: Cash out Method for Amazon Vouchers! on: May 27, 2015, 09:28:18 PM
Do you mean cashing them out at 100% value ? And in terms of dollars or BTC ?
There are already ways to cash them out , like Purse.io. However people tend to lose 15-20% on selling there.

Turns out OP paid me 0.0195BTC for the survey on the 23rd. Thanks, and sorry for having doubted you OP. But there are always a lot of scams going on in the forum. Did everyone else who took the survey early get paid as well?
I just checked my address. Apparently he did pay out Smiley Thanks Makkafon.
338  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buying Localbitcoins Account | Paying up to $1k on: May 26, 2015, 04:44:00 PM
This seems a little odd i must say. You are willing to buy 'accounts' with 30+ trades, the money you have spent on the accounts could have been used to sell at a few dollar loss and build your own accounts trust! But.. you don't want to build your own account do you lol Wonder why  Cheesy

Yeah I guess you can do this. Just sell at a very low margin and buy at a loss. You will easily be able to get your loss over 100 trades within a week by doing so, and will probably be able to do it in less than 500$ .
Also, you should probably post the location of which place you are looking to buy the accounts from. You can't possibly get too famous by using a reputed account in Italy, in US.
339  Economy / Gambling / Re: Will AI end online poker? on: May 26, 2015, 03:38:19 PM
Poker is a game of luck.
It is unlikely the computer can win humans consistently unless the AI knows the cards the other players have.
Not true, Poker does have a big component of skill in it. Thats why you have the likes of famous good players final tabling more often . The reason a bot has the edge is because the bot is able to make the right decisions at right time, which gives them the edge over other players. However there are always players who can beat bots as well.
340  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do Sportsbooks get live odds when they have live betting ? on: May 26, 2015, 03:34:19 PM

Some pro bettors actually are sitting in the stadiums and betting on their phones as the events are happening so they have an edge over the books because the tv and online livescores are getting a slight delay.

In the past, it may be possible to exploit using this method.
Nowadays, there is a delay in sports betting so that people cannot exploit delays in sportsbook.

There aren't really people sitting in the stadiums doing the bets these days. The odds for live update really fast, and its not like in a tennis game if score is 40-15 , and the first guy wins another point, then the odds wouldn't really change dramatically.
If this was the case, sports books would shut down as it could become really exploitable even for small odds.
