321  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: April 20, 2024, 01:07:45 PM
I think the chances for a draw result in the upcoming match between Sheffield United and Burnley today is quite low as a draw result will not benefit either of these teams. With both of these teams on the brink of relegation, the managers from both sides might focus heavily on their teams offense rather than defense and I guess Burnley will be able to beat Sheffield United today.
The result in today's match between these two relegation zone clubs won't change their fate in any significant way out of that zone not even if Burnley had to win today.

The real contest within the relegation zone is between Luton who are with 25points and Nottingham Forest with 26points, just a 1point difference between these two.  Luton be playing at home against Brentford, while Everton will be hosting Nottingham Forest all today. Whatever becomes the outcome of these two matches will determine greatly the fate of Nottingham and Luton relegating or not. As for Burnley and Sheffield I think their fate is certain at that zone.
322  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can people still get the addictive nature through friendly games on: April 20, 2024, 10:22:44 AM
So am just curious to know if these little games are the one's that got to him or already developed such habit and to know if possible that the practice will continue elsewhere after leaving there when he lost the money and to look for means through gambling to recover it.
Those games are family fun time games at special moments especially at a get-together, family reunions and anniversary, to me, it's highly uncalled for to turn the games into something of different interest and purpose. That's just being immature.

I tell you, those tow guys are already into gamble before that event, and something tells me they have ahead of the date of the family event planned on gambling among themselves by involving monetary means into it, it's a premeditated act, and that's why it happened that it was just the two both that were indulge into it when other persons were having and enjoying family game's time.

It is likely they may continue it somewhere else or may not but the likelihood of continuing it for recovery of the loss depends if he's one such addicted gambler.
323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy 4th Bitcoin Halving on: April 20, 2024, 07:46:28 AM
Since the Bitcoin halving is already complete, are we very close to a bull run?
Yes we are close but we just can't say with certainty how close we are and how much time more we have to Hodl to the bull run, but just to keep holding is all there is to do. Just like the last halving, with this halving now in place it will only take time for the market to completely adjust to  the dynamics of the halving supply effect to trigger the bull run.

I am just like others glad to witness the 4th bitcoin halving as a hodler, historically it's a halving with a precedent of a new a ATH before it.

324  Other / Meta / Re: Why is merit not common on trading discussion board on: April 20, 2024, 07:01:57 AM
I have noticed that someone will ask question on trading discussion, you will give answer but your post will not be given any merit. Sometimes like 1 out of 20 or 30 or more, you will only be given just 1 merit. If it is technical board, any useful answer will be bombarded with merits.

Is there no partiality in merit giving and receiving?
The reason is simple, the technical board have more quality post than the Trading discussion section of the forum where people are merely recycling information copied from different website in the name of technical analysis. Besides, to contribute in the technical board, you must be knowledgeable about what you are posting, and that is the reason you see less spamming there. There may be other reason but these are just my observation.
You're not correct mate, you can't just assume that there is more quality posts in the technical board than we have in the trading discussion board, maybe you are no trader and don't visit the trading discussion board often  and that's why you have this view of yours.

It is glaring that we have a lot of members that are knowledgeable in trading than we do in technical and that's why you will simply see those quality posts there in the technical right from first page. Unlike trading discussion board where a mixed multitude is found, if merit source could walk through the board and major their rate of merit rewards to those quality posts amidst the less quality, that alone could be an encouragement in regards to the complain OP is making, and in extension encourage those with less quality post or recycling as you termed it to work on their knowledge in order to do better by creating high quality like their counterparts in that board.

Trading in bitcoin is as important as the technical aspect of it and the two can't be overemphasized or exhausted in as much as bitcoin or cryptocurrency is concerned.
325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Paying $25 To Anyone That Opens A stake.us Account For Me on: April 19, 2024, 07:38:17 PM
Obviously, you can get the account once it has been verified using your email provided and then you will not pay the person who pass the KYC for you. You will change the password through your email so the person will not have access to the account. I won't advise anyone to do this as something like this have never been done on this thread. Give us reason why we should trust you, you have just created this account not quite long, and this is the first topic you have created.

I would advise you also move this thread to service discussion, maybe you can find someone who would attend to you there.
This is so strange and suspicious in the real intent behind this demand by the op. It's as though it was for this very purpose h/she had to create the account as it's the first thread he's making. Even if the intention for the request is genuine how do we verify this.

The risk goes both ways: for whoever chose to take the offer, using your personal data to open an account and pass KYC for someone you can even attest for his character is a damn risk which ordinary $25 is not worth a deal.

Any name could be used to create an email and it could be a fake name. Assumings the account is use for fraudulent activity it is not email address the authority will be after but majorly on the data details used for passing KYC.

On the other hand, despite it's op email that will be used, that alone doesn't stop or hinder the other party after receiving the $25 payment from finding ways possible to retrieve the account and that's a loss. Let's be guide about the kind of offers we give or accept, there could be better and safer alternates to make use.
326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causes loss on: April 19, 2024, 12:04:08 PM
I mean if I want to be honest 64k dollars in my opinion is super big and you said he using the same 100 percent of income from weekly, biweekly and monthly that is totally wrong.
It seems like your buddy is really going through a tough time with a serious gambling addiction, and it's great that you're there to support him. But it looks like he hasn't fully realized just how big of a problem it is, which can make it hard to give him the help he needs.

Just told him to not chase the losses or tell him that earning money is very hard do gamble is okay but not this way in mu opinion, I consider this as addicted too
It difficult going ones way to succeed in giving someone help when they don't even agree that they need helping. Op friend doesn't even agree that he has turned addict as a gambler, to him it's just a loss he made that he is chasing to recover from the casino or gamble site. It is only when he succumbs to the fact that he has turned a gambling addict and needs to stop that when every single help provided for him can be effective otherwise not even a rehabilitation support can make a different.

What I think is that op friend has lost his mind, he's not really in his real sense of mind knowing how much of an amount $64k he lost to gambling just like that. Perhaps, what should be done is rather to be focused on convincing him to understand his gambling attitude has gone out of normal and he is now in a chronic addiction, after which, ways of helping him to stop gambling can be marshalled out.
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in a casino's bankroll...Still worth it in 2024? on: April 19, 2024, 11:40:33 AM
Based on the question that I highlighted, in my opinion, I will not risk my Bitcoin to nvest in any bankroll but rather prefer to hold it in my cold storage and patiently wait till it generates some profit for me. We know the risk that comes with investing our Bitcoin in third-party companies.
Leaving our bitcoin as an investment in any casino bankroll is as similar as leaving our coins in a centralized exchange platform which many bitcoiners condemn, so why will Same people not think in that direction with casino bankroll. Could it be that they have been  consumed with gamble not to think so.

There are a multiple of what if (risks) that's to be considered before going into bankroll, one of which is, Just like CEX, what if the casino got hacked and suffered from a huge financial loss, then couldn't survive the financial damage and it has to fold down.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Projected how to spend gambling profits while the game has not played yet? on: April 18, 2024, 09:12:00 PM
We can't argue for sure if the OP story is a real event or formulate but from what I have seen about gamblers and how they all behave it is possible this could be true.

Like I said before, I personally haven’t seen anyone do it but that doesn’t mean someone out there is not doing it.

From the way you explained it using parlay I am a little convinced cos there are times when most our games have entered and we’re left with just few more to win a huge some during those periods we might felt that the money is already ours (and that’s what might have happened in the case of the Ops friend).
Yes, were are saying the same thing, it is definitely with parlays that this circumstances do arise with, as when gamblers will be having a few more games left to play after some other might have played and just remaining either a single game or two and they gambler would feel like there's nothing stopping this single game from play in as much as others before it has played.  But there's no sure prediction in gambling and more often than not, gamblers have experienced disappointment under such circumstance. Gambling money is never ours not until the last game has played accordingly as predicted, and this is something we all gamblers should lo accept so we don't end up making unfulfilled promises like in the Op.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 18, 2024, 08:58:44 PM
Well seems like if Liverpool fails today and West Ham also fail we are not gonna have any english team in the semifinals of europe tournaments (i dont count conference is low level) i dont know when was the last time this happen.
Liverpool is to be the better team in this matchup and should have proved to everyone that they are the better team from the first leg of the match but they failed to prove it and also made a lot of people to lose trust in them after been beaten by Atalanta with three goals to none. Tonight their fate will be decided, whether they’ll go home like Manchester City and Arsenal did yesterday to focus fully on the Premier League or continue their race in the European competition.
The problem is that they aggregate 3 goals from Atalanta. So, to be honest, it will be very difficult for Liverpool to turn things around. Even if it can, it means that Atalanta is really too bad, to be able to suffer an epic comeback like that. And indeed, currently, Liverpool is 0 - 1 ahead of Atalanta in the first half. There is still the second half and the possibility of extra time. There is still a fourth chance for Liverpool to score another goal. At least, right now they are struggling and they are quite dominating the game. Not only that, Liverpool has also succeeded in carrying out quite significant attacks. Yes, it's just a matter of whether they can optimize the efficiency of their attacks or are they just normal like in the first leg yesterday.
Jorgen Klopp made a very huge mistake in the first leg of their game Liverpool against Atlanta in his start X1 of that game and here he is in the second  leg  battling to correct that mistake tonight which for me I strongly believe it's not going to be achievable getting a 0:3 comeback at Atlanta home despite their good stats in this game in all ramifications. Liverpool could win the game for which they are already leading with a 1 goal but they can't win to an aggregate that will match to their first leg loss or more,  to be qualified to the next  round of the Europa.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Projected how to spend gambling profits while the game has not played yet? on: April 18, 2024, 08:16:56 PM
The only time I have seen something like this is only in skits, I haven’t seen anyone who called his/her friend and told them he would handle their bills for an outing just because they have a game that they are sure they’ll win (there might be some who would actually do something similar but it can’t be me). It is known that no game is 100% sure, even some with 80% chance of winning still end up being wrong because of a small mistake.
I also have not seen anyone done something like this before. If my friend said he will take care of the bill, he will. If I tell my friends that they should not worry that we should go out and have some entertaining moment, I will not disappoint them. This is because I have the money I will spend there on my bank account. If the money is not much, I would have told them to know what they will buy. I do not see OP telling the truth but there is nothing impossible on earth.
We can't argue for sure if the OP story is a real event or formulate but from what I have seen about gamblers and how they all behave it is possible this could be true.

I can recall my early days when I started gamble making parley bets, in the course of the early events playing according to my predictions and remaining late events like 1 or 2 games left to play, at that point I just start having imaginations in my head  on how I will spend the money. Unfortunately, at the end the ticket get spoilt by the last game and I just feel disappointed and unhappy thinking of how I have planned on expending that money.

But as I kept on gambling over the years my perspective changed about unfinished parley bets, I don't have to think of the money as my money to be spend until the finally results. So I just believe that anything is possible in gambling going by gamblers diverse behaviors.

Is this something to be worried about? I have had my fears that whatever policies that the FG is putting in place that has led to the appreciation of the naira might just be a temporary solution that might hit us bad in the long run.

it better not be oh!
I know for us when de this space when e be say exchange rate de favour us, e no get as e wan be say dollar rise when e no go affect us positively but if we de consider th average masses when de our street and how the increase in the price of things take affect them, e go sure us say we no need anything when go course things to begin worsen off again.
There is nothing we the average citizen go fit do in our little way wey go get any type of positive  effect on the common man for the street because no be we be the men on the decision-making table as e concern economic matters for we country. Na just for all man to hold him guide plan for yourself so that when things the get more harder due to the incompetence of those decision makers you no go feel the effect with same weight as eim the affect others.

Now when we don de hear say price of things don de finally come down small small na him this kind news go de burst out? I just hope they have plans on ground to  still stabilize everything so it doesn't become a serious course for concern.
Abeg nah where for the country be that wey price of things the go down and we no know. Cos since I dey go market I never see any form of reduction for prices of the commodores oh.

Anyway, the truth be say this government no get any economic blueprint as a guide to use improve the economy as them come see am. And them no even ready to employ capable hands to assist in running the government administratively for them, Instead them the use the appointments in ministerial and parastatals dey use as compensation to their incompetent political allies. So expect no stabilization or sustainable solutions as we go. You can't give what you don't have.

HALA MADRID
HALA MADRID, at some point during the PK I could hear my heartbeat after Luka modric missed that first PK, luckily  Manchester missed too. I'm so happy for Madrid, because they've been my major choice for this competition. It has been a terrible night on the English side as arsenal lost to Bayern Munich and here Manchester City losing to Madrid, however Manchester city really tried as the game was so intriguing throughout the 120 minutes of play

HALA MADRID.....
Hala Madrid over and over again!

it is their competition they are the kings of the competition having won it 14 times they would always find a way out to victory whenever they get to this stage, and this they have done at the Etihad in England tonight. what a game 120mins of fantastic football.

Gardiola boys actually gave their all into this game but the gods of football says otherwise  else with all the energy put into this match tonight one would have given it all Manchester City right from the second half of possessive play against Madrid.

Congrats to the White Angels, I see no team left from stopping them from lifting this seasons UCL cup.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do casinos do with inactive accounts? on: April 17, 2024, 11:19:50 AM
I also learned that there is something called a dormancy fee or maintenance charges on those inactive accounts which covers for administrative cost incurred by those accounts. I learned that the deduction is from the remaining balance in the account. What about inactive accounts without any balance? On the other hand, what type of fee is charged on an active account?
I do not know about this. But if there will be something like this, it will be on the gambling site ToS. It is very possible. But I wonder why some people will leave their account inactive but having money in there.
All activities concerning the actions of a casino is laid down in their ToS, granted that this policies can be acted upon by the casino it makes it important that gambler see it of essence to  educate themself with most of these ToS about a casino before usage or even in the process of use.

There are varied reasons to why some gambler's accounts are left dormant or abandoned, and one of which could be as a result of sudden death. yea, you read that right, sudden death! It could happen to anyone at anytime and that's how any casino account held by the deceased get abandoned even with money inside, and for those of us that wouldn't know the cause we will be wondering why would a user abandon his account with such amount of money inside.

Depending on the casinos' ToS about account maintenance they could regularly be cutting a maintenance fee for the maintenance of the account till it get eventually emptied.
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: April 17, 2024, 10:11:39 AM
I have a profitable friend who told me that when you are in a loss, don't look at that as a money taken from you. Instead think of it like a loan you give to the casino. There's no need for you to take it back right away. As much as possible take your time, it may have a interest later on. This shift my perspective a lot. In gambling there's no need to rush and take your money that you've loss. Casino will always be there. So it's not aonly discipline or self control. It's also more of perspective and beliefs around one's behavior.
I think this is just one of those many allegory about gambling that your friend had just designed for himself in his head to guide himself to gambling responsibly and not to fumble even in the face of losses while gambling. And it great to be with such belief as it's gives you the gambler that locus of control from chasing after losses which ultimately have been known to lead to more losses.

Though I do not completely agree to your friend idea of taking the losses as loan given to the casino which the gambler could take back later on even with interest base on how lucky you are, because it often doesn't work that way as he thinks. Nevertheless, I see his school of thought as one that is helpful to keep the gambler away from irresponsible gambling like loss chasing, and that's worth something for an idea.
Actually, thinking like that is not too bad for suppressing emotions when experiencing defeat so that you don't fall into more defeats at one time. but it is also necessary to calculate quite carefully how much money is considered as a loan. Indeed, if we are lucky, the money might come back to us, but if luck is not on our side, it will also be frustrating if a lot of our money has been deposited into the casino.

In fact, it would be better if you play a little and prefer the investment route in a casino. Many casinos are now opening investment channels. so that our finances are more focused than just thinking that our money was borrowed by the casino, which means that the money may not come back if we don't have the luck to win the game.
That's right, it could help suppress the feeling of emotional defeat but the weakness of this thought as you had said is that, when misinterpreted or misconceived by a gambler it could lead to continuous session of non-stop gambling even in the face of so much losses the idea of "it's a loan", will keep hammering, and if it's a gambler that has no set limit of how much money he gambles with for a day it then becomes a downhill sink for such a gambler. Hence, before we chose to buy into an idea it's expected we get a clear understanding of it.

Dis na total bullshit. Weti concerned Bitcoin investment with out health here. If you no know weti to write u no go go make comments and complete your weekly quota? Must you create thread? Nobody here live without taking care of himself and it is not compulsory to eat fruit. And there is an existing thread which Charles-Tim has brought it to your notice so you can lock dis one and we can discuss on that thread.

If anyone is sick, he or she can't do anything and sickness is very bad thing in human life because if your happened to be the breadwinner of the house then things will spoiled. So it is good to take care of oneself and not only on fruit.
Sometimes I wonder if the person behind this account is normal or is going through a phase of depression seeing how he/she is well known for attacking newbies instead of correcting in love and constructively.

If there has been any other post before this then there should be a polite way to pour it to the OP. I dislike it the way newbies are approached by you in the local board and I think you need to redress your attitude. Am sure you never started in the forum without mistakes and that goes for all of us too.

You mustn't express yourself by condemning others. Just look at how Charles-Tim expressed himself towards the  Op and compare to yours. In my opinion it's you rather that's  just in a cloak of completing your weekly post through this thread.

Learn to be a constructive critic mate!
337  Economy / Gambling / Re: Where do i find sister sites to the following... (22bet, spinbetter, 1win) on: April 16, 2024, 03:00:36 PM
I have no idea of any sister site to those sites you have listed but there's one that caught my attention and unfortunately it caught it in a bad light, and that's 1xbit. My advise to you is you should avoid, I mean run as fast as you can away from 1xbit gambling site or any sister related site , for 1xbit has been scamming a lot of it's customers and it's been a character and habit for them that they do this without recourse to their image and integrity. I doubt they ever had integrity from their start. So avoid any sister related site to them as they wouldn't be of any different in their character.

The link below is to a recent complain from one of their victim , don't make yourself the next to follow in line. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5492151.msg63951539#msg63951539.
Just my 5 cents.

Barcelona has the upper hand in this match. They just have to avoid defeat in their home that's not too big task for them not to execute. They were able to score 3 goals at Paris last week, if they can replicate that form I think they will manage to scale through to the semi finals. Although PSG will not go down that easily. They will be more determine this time. But the reality is that PSG can still come here and upset Barcelona. Barcelona shouldn't be relaxed because they got a favourable first leg result. They have to play as if they are the ones trailing PSG. I expect to see a good show in tomorrow's game.
Winning 3-2 on aggregate basically doesn't make Barcelona comfortable, it still risks failure if PSG can score 2 goals in the second leg while Barcelona can't do much. I agree that Barcelona is slightly superior in their home games to PSG, but this is not a guarantee that Barcelona can maintain its form and win the match.

I tend to hope that Barcelona draws in the second leg rather than winning, of course a draw could make Barcelona qualify for the semifinals. However, if Barcelona can maintain their form and win the match then it is clear that Barcelona looks really serious about qualifying for the final this season.
In my opinion, it is impossible for PSG to make a comeback in the second leg, because they will play at the Camp Nou, it is very difficult for PSG to put pressure on Barcelona, although nothing is impossible, but in reality it is very difficult for the clubs out there to turn things around, Barcelona just needs  Just a draw to ensure they qualify for the next round and that would be an extraordinary achievement. In several seasons they have always been knocked out in the group preliminary round, so it is very clear that Xavi's squad's ambition is to prepare players who are quite modest but strong in the individual game so it doesn't matter.  It would be surprising if Barcelona is able to compete in the European caste this season.
It was an interesting outcomes last week having the only two Spanish clubs in the champions league won their first leg games, more interestingly was Barcelona been able to snatch an away victory in France from PSG. I can not agree more but to say that PSG can only give in their best in tonights' game at the Camp Nou but won't get that victory they failed to get in their own home. All what Barcelona could be fighting for now is a draw even though they are new with a great advantage to win the match as home team and with their fans to cheer them up.

Comparison check  Barcelona has a fine coordinated team than PSG in terms of how the team is built for goals scoring, whereas Mbappe is just one major man that is majorly expected of goals in PSG team before all else and holding down Mbappe is like stopping PSG from seeing the light of day In any PSG games. I do believe that if Xavi was able to do it away he can also repeat it at home with his boys in this champions league competition.
339  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1xBet Biggest Scam and Violation of Terms on: April 16, 2024, 11:28:53 AM
I as a gambling addict said whatever and played in that casino for more , and that's where the real problem begins , i lost 1.4M USD in 2 nights .

I had every right to ask for a refund and closure of my account from 1xbet based on : 1. i am Iranian , i provided my iranian documents and choose iran as my country in 1xbet , and 1xbet fully verified my account with iranian documents and Country . This alone is illegal cause gambling is prohibited in iran and Also Iran is in banlist Of curaçao for gambling (which is where 1xbet got their license from) .
2. 1xbet changed my country to Bangladesh deliberately and refused to change it back to IRAN by my request .
3.i won many USD but everytime i won 1xbet refused my bets and every time i lost they were ok with it .
It's really a very sad note of experience and I sympathize with your loss using a fraudulent casino 1xbit. But going further I blame you somehow for being non-law abiding by using a casino you are aware of is in a ban list in your home country apart from it been a scamming gambling site.

Your complain is one of numerous complains about the illegalities meted on gamblers by 1xbit which is why we are advised to do a thorough background check about reviews about a casino before going on to make use of them. With those reviews from users before you, you will know if you're about to use the right casino or not.

Finally, you said you lost 1.4M USD in just 2 night's of gambling. Oh man! That's reckless gambling, you're just an addictive gambler and you need to watch yourself and administer some control to how much you should use to gamble. 1.4M USD can be useful if invested in a good project just in 6moths alone you are sure of ROI. Be wise mate.

You claim to erroneously send 4.37 BTC  to some undisclosed wallet address.

My questions are:
If your claims are true why didn't you make available to our knowledge the wallet address you wrongly sent the 4.37 BTC to, just as you could make known to us the address  1L1UduuGPZ8ttGe59F2w9tTEumQFhtxiuT you claim to have been used to send the BTC.

Secondly, Why provide entirely different wallet addresses as where the BTC should be sent to assuming the person who wrongfully received the 4.73 BTC decides to send it back. Why do so when you could use same address you used in sending it to also receiving, that's if your claims are genuine and not some sort of a scam scheme.

Your claims to me are suspicious for you don't seem to be straightforward.
