Last night I earned my first stake Grin
.....

No, they are not mature, every time you block stakes its age is reset. You can see in the weight column that the weight of two new blocks is 0. Your blocks will start to gain weight (i.e. to stake) again after 8.8 days.
The bug in the minting indicator was resolved in the v1.0.6 wallet version.
I ve now put the 3 blocks into one again.
That is beter for chance of stake, isn't?

Yes, exactly  Smiley
I have bought 2500 HYP more so hope to get a nice stake again in 9 days.
Thats also how I started, bought some 1600 and later some more.
Including stakes and coins bought I have now 10K+.
Hyperstake is very addictive !  Grin

very good start, wallet is amazing for a young coin and so promising !
Thx for the coins !
Welcome aboard !
Imagine, they have been working on this for quite a while now, see older threads.
2 public test releases before they went on air.
Good sign of a proper team behind VPN, too many coins only rely on 1 dev and often don't make it.

I agree, the more members on the team, the more gets done. Smiley

+1
Every coin depends on a good community support, besides from a good team of devs.
I have seen good increase in connection with my wallet as well.
Even if it would not be a coin for daily use the Bitnet feature is good enough to keep this project running.
Maybe people like easy to use programs to avoid censors.
VPN is providing that and a lot more coming.
Looking forward to the new release !

330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Qora | Released 16 May | 100% POS | New Source on: October 03, 2014, 09:35:51 PM
Oke here is how I see the future.

Initially it was never the goal to become a feature pumping machine.
The initial goal for this project was to try and simplify features, Looking for ways to improve them and see if they could be combined somehow.
We have features now so there is no point in pushing more features until the available ones find a use.

The main development focus will now be to make the client stable and getting more use out of the existing features.
The new wallet will be part of the goal of making Qora and its features more accessable.

To go open source this project needs to get a proper identity first. This means atleast the following things need to be done before we can go open source.

  • Rework this topic (update the information, self-moderate it to prevent the spam).
  • Recreate the website (correct information, blog, forum).
  • Better communication through the blog, forum, etc
  • Create better documentation on how to use the client.
  • Setting up a proper issue tracker with guidelines.
  • Fixing the issues people are having.
  • Maybe a new logo.

I am already working on these things so don't expect them to take very long.
Some parts of the source might be hidden first. If this creates a larger interest and community the missing parts will become available immediatly.
+1000
Glad to see Qora re-freshed !
Very much needed, bought some extra coins.  Cheesy

After investigation,we found there are some moreaccounts man (brusher) here,so we suggest that:

Everyone in the list must reply 6 time in this thread every one week or do some contribution to the community.

If we found who don't reply here or reply no nutrition,we will delete the accounts, give more coins to real users.

Any  suggestions?

Please tell us,thank you.

but that should be make a lot of spam here  Shocked
You are right, in order to better development should do,
Everybody very much serious discussion, Ok?
I aggree, this is my suggestion posted in the QQ group:

I think every QQ user must have a BTT account created before September with the same nickname and vpn address. Otherwise everyone will say anything and spam the thread.

thank you,too!
+1
Better to have good reply's then spam.
Might be a good idea that users who post in other threads are also "valid" users.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitNet VPNCoin |Free VPN|More Channels of Distribution|Rules Changed(9.28) on: September 28, 2014, 03:47:58 PM
BAD pr :
I don't think that making ANY reference to darknet -> black market -> black money is a good idea.
Here in the west these are linked to illegal activity's and VPN should NEVER be linked to illegal activity's.
And how do people with dark skin would think about this ?

Reference to TOR is acceptable.

GOOD pr :
VPN domain system <-> NMC.

NMC takes care of domain name registration but does NOT have p2p DNS integrated, you can not use it without external software.
VPN does both of these, am I correct ?

In that case make sure it's on the OP.
NMC has good trading volume in the west, VPN could take over NMC position !

Please post feedback !

RPC is only needed for people who are mining, am I correct ?
In that case the following line should be added in vpncoin.conf :

server=0

I have done so in many qt wallets and it has not given me any problems and gives better safety.
Can you confirm ?
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitNet VPNCoin |Free VPN|More Channels of Distribution|Rules Changed(9.27) on: September 27, 2014, 08:41:17 PM
Well, I tested the wallet with firends. I confirm that the wallet has a conflict with openvpn.
Have you tried changing default port settings of VPN ?
I have noticed when VPN starts up I get 50+ connections attempts while only 10 are connected.
After some 10 minutes everything seem to be normal, 30+ connects.

Testing now VPN with non default ports, simply added 40 to the default ports 920 = 40920
50+ at start up are gone and it now shows normal behaviour like other qt clients.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitNet VPNCoin |Free VPN|More Channels of Distribution|Rules Changed(9.25) on: September 26, 2014, 06:19:10 PM
(BUG) No connection with internet when using Windows iexplorer ?

When VPN is running it changes your connection settings to use proxy.
Check :Tools -> internet options -> connections -> LAN settings
Use proxy server for your LAN is enabled, normally should be disabled.
Click advanced, you should see :
HTTP    :127.0.0.1 port 923
Secure  :127.0.0.1 port 923

Solution 1 :
In VPN wallet check :
BitNet -> settings -> service settings
Disable Open p2p Domain Name System

If left enabled VPN will automatically change your proxy settings every time it starts and browser will not work.

Solution 2 :
If you want to make use of Open p2p DNS you must also enable p2p proxy !

-Both solutions does not require changing settings in your browser.
-Make sure you click "save" in VPN to make changes effective, no need for re-start VPN and iexplorer.
-This bug only seem to affect Windows iexplorer.

Please post your feedback !
