321  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Giving up on the Trezor soon. on: June 25, 2015, 01:42:40 PM
My understanding is that you need to put your recovery seed into electrum in order for it to display your wallet. My understanding is also that if you have a trezor device, then all you need to recover your private keys is your recovery seed. Although I do not have a trezor personally so there may be an additional step required to recover access to your private keys.
I don't think this is how Electrum works with Trezor. I set my existing Trezor up with Electrum a few months ago, but from what I recall all I needed to do was create a new Trezor wallet within Electrum, and then Electrum asks for the user's passphrase or PIN, and then you can see all the balances on the Trezor accounts. So no recovery seed is needed to setup a Trezor with Electrum.
322  Economy / Auctions / Re: [WTS] Jr. Member on: June 25, 2015, 01:36:19 PM
Better delete that auction and start a new one. You give too many and too exact informations. The actual account can be found easily.

You should be able to delete the thread if im not wrong.
Doesn't look like the OP really cares about people finding out the account name. I found it, and the signature says "Bitcoin Member: Scream is selling this account."
323  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Reputable/Trustworthy Mixers on: June 25, 2015, 01:30:01 PM
Unfortunately, there aren't many reputable Bitcoin mixers around here. Only one I recommend is Bitmixer.io which has been proven as trustworthy. Keep the signed message you get safely. It is a strong proof and the only proof you can use in case if a dispute arises.

Another method to mix your coin is to buy a stable altcoin, sell it for Bitcoin in another exchange and withdraw it. Total fees you encounter maybe higher than the fees charged by Bitmixer.io.
I've heard of people doing this before with Monero (XMR) because it's an untraceable (and fairly stable) currency. Buy Monero on one exchange, send it to another, then exchange it back to bitcoin and your coins have basically been mixed. Low fees, and it doesn't take much time either.
324  Other / Meta / Re: Avatars on: June 24, 2015, 09:35:44 PM
Full members or higher are allowed to upload avatars again. It's been this way since April 1st of this year. See this thread for more info: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1008863.0
325  Other / Meta / Re: Activity confusion on: June 24, 2015, 09:13:17 PM
It could be caused if you had potential activity. Basically how that works is that if you post once during a two week time period, although you've only gained 1 activity point, you've also gained 13 "potential activity" points. So as you post later on, your activity will increase post by post, until all your potential activity points are used up. That could be what caused your activity change on a Thursday.
326  Other / New forum software / Re: [REQ] Passwordless Login - As A Secondary Option on: June 24, 2015, 05:16:40 PM
This sounds very similar to how #bitcoin-otc authentication works, but bitcoin-otc also supports PGP signing as well as bitcoin signing. I'd be supportive of this idea, however the one issue I'm able to think of possibly arising would be that if someone's bitcoin private key was stolen, then they could potentially lose access to their account, and would have no way to truly prove that they're the account owner, since there could be someone else signing messages with their private key as well.
327  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Giving up on the Trezor soon. on: June 24, 2015, 05:08:02 PM
You can use your Trezor with all of MultiBit HD, Electrum and Mycelium. Try one of those wallets to see if your experience is better with one of those clients.

Sakarias-Corporation: Note that of these three, only Mycelium supports multiple accounts (which you apparently make use of). GreenAddress.it also has TREZOR support, but I don't know if it supports multiple accounts with a TREZOR (and also it's an online multisig wallet, which may or may not be what you want).
That's not completely true. I'm using my Trezor with Electrum, and I'm able to access multiple accounts within Electrum.
328  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Minecraft Hosting on: June 24, 2015, 04:42:54 PM
Do you have a link to your service? If your company is reputable and you have competitive pricing, I suspect you'll have at least a couple people rent a server with bitcoin. Plus, like secrethedgehod mentioned, it isn't very difficult to implement bitcoin payments for most websites.
329  Economy / Lending / Re: Short term loan 0.003 on: June 24, 2015, 04:38:50 PM
not all people here are scammers. I know people have trust issues because alot of scamming is going on in this industries but it's not nice to accuse other people before knowing their reasons first.
Well, more often than not when loans are given out to newbies without any collateral, loaners probably won't see their funds back. Amount doesn't matter, you'd be surprised at how little some people will try and scam for.
330  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cost of Bitcointalk Accounts. on: April 20, 2015, 01:38:58 AM
No one buys Jr. Member as far as i have seen
Full member may go for around 0.07 to 0.1;
Hero member may go from 0.1 to 2 BTC
Legendary member may go for really higher prices (although I've never seen one on the selling category)
You wrong Jr. Member now behavior on sub forum digital goods and the price is 0.004-0.007
The price for Member is 0.03-0.05BTC
For Full member may go around 0.07 to 0.12BTC
Senior member may go around 0.15-0.3BTC
Hero Member upto 1BTC
Legendary member i have not ever seen someone sell bitcoin talks account with this rank  Grin

I think I've seen a few Legendary accounts for sale before. If I remember right, they don't sell for much more than a Hero account would, even though it takes a lot longer to achieve Legendary rank than it does for Hero. I've also seen quite a few people listing low ranking yet old accounts for sale, which can be ranked up fairly quickly too, as long as they've make a post every two weeks, as others have mentioned before.
331  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: easy way that get me bitcoin on: April 13, 2015, 01:43:33 PM
Yeah don't get into ponzies or gambling. those are both great ways to lose your bitcoin in the long run.
But if you can start a ponzi? And the be a first man to create legit ponzi? Is that possible in theory?
In most countries running a ponzi is illegal. I don't think there is any way you can create a "legit ponzi". You can probably run one and base the site around a fact that it's a ponzi, but I'm thinking that would probably be illegal as well.
332  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BlockChain Help on: April 13, 2015, 02:16:59 AM
After 24 to 36 hours the transaction should be dropped from the blockchain i've read. after that happens (you don't see the transaction anymore) send it again but with a fee and it should confirm in the next block or two.
333  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 13, 2015, 02:14:13 AM
I'm on the fence about this. On the one side I really like making extra BTCBTC but then on the other side I really like seeing a bunch of cool creative avatars. i think that with more avatar campaigns the community would lose some of the cool avatars that some people have.

335  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Wallet Starting Issue on: March 17, 2015, 01:26:31 PM
The initial sync with Bitcoin Core can take days. If you download the bootstrap.dat torrent that saves many hours though.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Changing wallet, keeping address on: March 07, 2015, 02:55:22 PM
i was going to mention the electrum seed problem with importing a private key. you won't be able to recover that key if you ever lose the encryption key to your wallet, or something along the lines of that.

it would be all around better to just start a fresh new electrum wallet, and try and transfer your existing payments from your current address to a new electrum address.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Average time for 6 confirmations? on: March 07, 2015, 02:53:46 PM
i too have found that lately when i send coins it takes forever sometimes for the tx to confirm. i add the correct fees, it's just that the blocks can be 30 minutes or more between each other. maybe it's just bad luck, who knows.
338  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which BTC wallet are you using on: February 24, 2015, 01:36:39 PM
does anyone use/like bitcoinwallet.com?
I don't, this is my first time hear that site.
me too. i wouldn't trust online wallets. there are lots of wallet thefts even with major online wallets such as blockchain.info. i'd recommend just an offline wallet on your pc, like electrum.
339  Other / Meta / Re: BitCoinTalk hidden pages on: February 24, 2015, 01:32:23 PM

340  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many confirmations does it take to verify the deposit? on: February 24, 2015, 01:29:42 PM
i think it also depends on the amount of the transaction. for example, with a transaction under 5 btc, then 3 confirmations is good. if the transaction is over 1000 btc then 6 confirmations would be safe to verify the deposit. if the transaction is < 1 btc then i'd say 1 confirmation would be enough.
