321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different - VPN Wallet BETA Release - Bittrex/YoBit on: March 17, 2016, 08:47:47 PM
Someone has learned a thing or two.

Definitely.
I must confess that it was also exciting for me until I noticed that things could get out of hand.
Learning every day Smiley after all, it's my first coin.

EDIT: For everyone, I am on Wire (app.wire.com) by the name of shapetwist. There's a small group of people there on a private group. I intend to keep it small, but at least you know how to contact me. If I don't respond, keep it cool.

I know Shapeshift doesn't like to give updates in PM's, so I'm asking here...
Shapeshift, can you give us an update on the VPN integration process?

Regards

Goldmaxx

I'd be grateful to hear how things are progressing too.  Smiley

Things have changed.

I used to do daily updates - that won't happen anymore. The risk of turning WARP into a pump was really high. There was way too much inside info (slack), the top holders accumulating more and more, and a minority of users trying to extort important info and pressure me into some decisions that would never benefit WARP, but only the top 10%. At the moment, if we have people leaving, I don't care.

Updates will come when they are relevant. Not everyday, maybe not even every week.
We have released a Linux VPN wallet like it was promised. However, the Windows wallet unfortunately failed. The reason for this is: OpenVPN acts differently depending on your box version. I am busy rebuilding the windows wallet completely in order to work in any windows version. This is not simple math.

Along with that, there are new plans like I said before. When time comes, they'll be presented.

I have to say that is refreshing not to care about the price, not even looking at the market, and having time to actually work instead of keeping everybody up to date every single day. Maybe some of you don't like that, and strange the sudden change, but I have very good reasons for it. WARP will not become a pump coin, and it's not for the benefit of a few people. This is for the masses. And, at the moment, I make the decisions. Pressure is useless.

@ Warp Dev, what do you think about it to partners with Microsoft Azure?

Do you think that would be in general possible?

btw. nice interview

No way that is gonna happen.

I have been working and not focusing on this thread right now.

In short term I will announce some additional plans for the immediate future regarding communication, team and coin/wallet developments. Needless to say, the existing long term plans remain unaltered.

Been watching this conversation, and it just makes me sad. Here is a coin with real potential, and not just potential to make people rich. Something that could really bring crypto to the masses. And look what happens, the dev posts it on bitcointalk, and what does he get? Cancer. That's what happens here, good coins come to get killed by profit mongering idiots. Let the dev actually work on the coin and not have to check in every minute to keep the FUD under control.

Well said.   Let him work. All you cancer people fuck of and let this coin do its thing.

Thanks to both of you.
I see that you understand my points and what is most important for WARP.
Any time I have to deal with low level discussion is a waste of time. WARP requires a shit-ton of work to get to where I believe it can be. If people prefer soap-operas they are encouraged to go somewhere else.
Interpret it as you wish, but my decisions are what they are: strong.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different - VPN Wallet BETA Release - Bittrex/YoBit on: March 10, 2016, 08:10:05 PM
@zebedee, since you deleted your post.

Let me tell you what it is to develop a coin like WARP.

It's about knowing and applying knowledge in diverse areas such as economics, backend and frontend development, man management, business management, marketing, and so forth.

What was happening was: I, as the creator of WARP and main force behind it, responsible for everything that was done so far, suggested ideas that put the richest guys in danger. The richest guys - who never wanted to help, instead kept pm'ing for inside info - didn't like to have their position in risk, so they dumped most of their coins.

Seems to me that all this issue was caused by a small group of people that didn't know how to read me. And the fact there were instant large dumps when slack channel was removed clearly states it.

I won't be biased, influenced by the needs of investors. My aim is to create a board of sensible people that actually do care about making a good project. If you have 50k coins but you can't even put a reasonable and clear thought straight, then I have no choice but to ignore your PM's.

You all complain about the price. I clearly fucking don't. Have you noticed who pumped the price in the first place? Yeah, that's right, the top 10 guys.

My job is to be the force behind WARP. I will continue to do so.
Expect some news in the coming days.

never deleted my post, its still there Smiley I understand you have had alot on your plate and have worked incredibly hard to get to where WARP is today. I think this thing with the Top investors is mostly in your head. I certainly never pm'd you asking for 'inside information' , cant speak for others.  No one pumped the coin to 60K plus, the price got that high because the large holders, who had faith in WARP before anyone else did , held their coins.  I know you dont give a fuck about the price but to intentionally or by anger cause the price to tank 100's% by making very dubious comments on slack and then killing it out of the blue is a very bad move.  Serious investors and institutions such as Poloniex will not take a coin seriously when there is a sole dev who is unpredictable/loose cannon. Wether you like it or not your actions have serious repercussions on the market and as such on the coin itself.

I understand your concerns, but if you can't speak for others why do you generalize then? In fact, I have been pressured since the beginning by quite some people in private. They crossed the line just before I deleted slack: that included threats that could jeopardize WARP very heavily.

I am very open to discuss proper stuff instead of price talk. I believe that my actions and decisions - although perceived as unpredictable for some - were the best for WARP, although very hard to make. I think that is a strong sign for serious people/institutions that I am damn serious about it, and will not allow to be manipulated or get under-the-table benefits for the sake of a few individuals. I stand for my decisions and don't give a fuck about who tried to influence and bribe me.

Zebedee, I know some good people out of the slack channel feel that it was unjust. Give it time and I will gather a better version of it. Now it's pretty clear to me who had good and bad intentions. If you don't understand my position, sorry.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different - VPN Wallet BETA Release - Bittrex/YoBit on: March 10, 2016, 07:31:28 PM
boki is back everybody, that must be good!
I was never gone, we have different understanding of beeing here, for you it's this thread and for me it's far beyond that, even if ignoring this thread, I am here.

Your double standards blame me, why do you pretend now to be happy to see me posting in this thread? You have put so much energy trying to ban me and spread lies about me, do you maybe hope that I will be the reason for an dive dip => an possibility to get low again for the next hype? I supposed you bought enough up when you pumped it, did you ever hear anything about auroracoin dev? Maybe you had a beer tonight, and as long as you are in a good mood, how much btc is left from ico and what did you use it for?

Oh mister, you are an attention whore. Do you know what that is?
How about sarcasm? Do you know that?

ICO coins were sold for almost 30 btc. This amount is for me to use in the long term development of WARP. Nobody has any business with it anymore. Read the ICO rules. But I can tell you, just because you're so nice, there are over 2/3 left. And there is still my own WARP holdings, ~25k, proudly accumulated off YoBit over time, that I will not hesitate to invest back into WARP, since it's gonna be worth more than 30 BTC in the near future.

328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different - VPN Wallet BETA Release - Bittrex/YoBit on: March 10, 2016, 06:58:32 PM

No, I wasn't there, that's why I was asking what had happened and was only offered rumours because you weren't to be found.

I appreciate that we have a rocky relationship at the moment, but the fact is, after seeing your posts today, I still think this might be a good coin.

With that in mind, I'll re-iterate my offer of taking some front of house duties if it helps you out - I think I'd be pretty effective at fending off the bullshit, but I understand that you most likely want me to fuck off - that's cool too.

And, just to make things clear, I never pm'd you, I wasn't an ICO buyer (got all my coins on Yobit) and I wasn't in the top ten, not even the top twenty.

I'm soon to directly contact a small group of people that I think could be beneficial to WARP. I appreciate your availability and will let you know.

Remind me, who shut down the slack in a fit of pique?

Whatever man. I don't even know if you were there.
The amount of pressure that was put to me via PM, now that a few days have passed, really feels like it was the best decision.

Yup.... definitely flaky.

 Roll Eyes

And then you want to be taken seriously.. Yeah, right.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WARP - Something different - VPN Wallet BETA Release - Bittrex/YoBit on: March 10, 2016, 05:16:03 PM
I know you people are used to fishy stuff around here. I am not like that. I've seen implying that I deleted slack to cause panic in order to buy WARP cheaper. Seriously? If I wanted WARP cheap, I would have bought from the crowdsale, and I didn't.

Slack was deleted in sudden fury, yes that is correct, because I saw a growing concern with top holders trying to controls my own actions and decisions. I won't make the rich richer, I won't decide for their benefit. And the way they have been contributing to WARP has been close to zero.

I'm not gonna play with them anymore, no matter what they think. I am here for WARP, not for traders/speculators. There is a gigantic room for growing. 10 people are not gonna stop that.

Sorry to come back, but... in an attempt to calm troubled waters.

You could have explained this days ago, when the speculation first started.

As for people not contributing, I myself tried to. I had a (possibly stupid) idea about using sortation as a way to run the coin and I made this suggestion in direct response to your plea for more discussion. It was ignored.

Then, when it started to be mooted that you didn't like dealing with the slack and the forum here, I offered to help. Again, it was ignored.

You can't really accuse people of not contributing when you, yourself are not contributing.

As you say, people are used to fishy stuff around here, so why did you knowingly let it get out of hand? It needn't be this complicated.

Anyway, I genuinely wish you luck with your coin and I would be very pleased to see you hit a huge market cap.

sussex

What got out of hand exactly? Absolutely nothing.
There was a private/invite-only chat channel that was closed. I have been reading the thread every day, but in good conscious decided to set myself back to see the real people here.

Have you seen that I released the v1.1 wallet? Has anybody seen that actually? Is it normal for you that I have 2 or 3 feedback messages about that and 50 or 60 about slack?
I will not ride the troublemakers ride, I will not feed nonexistent problems.

I did read your suggestions, those are just that: suggestions, not contributions. If you honestly want to reach you know how to do it and you didn't.

You don't like my style, fine. I'm sure plenty other people do.

I haven't bought 1 WARP since more than a week ago.

Updates will come when I feel they are necessary. You will not control my own actions.

Woohooo.....

Hope it works out for you.... I'm out.

Great. Goodbye.

Someone can give feedback about Linux wallet?

It gives me an error on my Mint 64bit (undefined symbol: _ZN6QDebugD1Ev).
Already reported to Shape, he's probably working on fixing things now.

Finally someone talking about the wallet Smiley
Anybody else having this issue?
