322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Solo mining teracoin... or any alt coin doesn't work well. on: January 27, 2014, 12:34:50 AM
Hey guys,

I'm trying to solo mine some sha256 alt coins with some new antminers...

My specs:

1 antminer running at 200gh/s. 170gh/s or so seems to be directed at terracoin via my setup. The other 30gh/s registers on my backup terracoin pool and my backup bitcoin pool.

My config file:

server=1
rpcuser=A
rpcpassword=1
rpcallowip=*
rpcport=9221

maxconnections=256

I have 15+ connections at any given time on the terracoin network.

My results via antminer dashboard:

As you can see from the pic... I've gotten a ton of DiffR# and GetWorks...

I've also been mining for 7 hours at the time of this screen shot. 10 hours actually now ( with no block found and 1 extra rejected).

So what I want to know is if I am doing anything wrong? Do these numbers make sense and am I just being unlucky? I should have found a terracoin block at about 4 or 5 hours.... Are these numbers acceptable or do they tell us something is wrong?

Thanks!
Andrew

Hey,

I just ordered two of these but I didnt get the kit as I allready have psus... The only other thing I see in the kit is jumper cables? Is this all I will need and are these just jumpers to connect two power pins on the boards?

thanks

Hey guys,

Haven't mined in a while and I'm thinking of getting back into it.

Since Antminers are dropping quickly I am looking for these mostly but will buy any competitively priced miner.

I will pay in bitcoin, litecoin, or paypal via an ebay auction. NO PAYPAL Otherwise.

Escrow is fine(we both must agree to the escrow) otherwise you ship first and I pay upon receipt. I've had 100+ successful hardware transactions on this forum totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars. You can check out my WTB: broken gpu thread for an idea.

PRICE:

for used antminers I am willing to pay half the going rate for used. Currently that is 1.1btc shipped. I can possibly split shipping as well.

For all other miners I am looking for roughly 180gh/btc.

This may seem unreasonable at first but I think we are in the beginning of a period where the bottom is dropping out of the mining market so I am more than happy to wait for better deals.  As soon as these terahash plus miners hit I expect prices for ants to be around .7btc each new.

Thanks guys!
Andrew
329  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS Scrypt Mining Rigs preorders. on: January 18, 2014, 02:51:51 AM
Wow,

That screen shot looks just like the one tomatocage called your alias jbwashington out on...

Except this time u marked out the btc-e transaction # so we can't look up the actual date...

Hello guys I am now accepting preorders for my set of scrypt mining rigs.I have not built one of them yet to show you, but I will post pics of my own personal custom PC tomorrow, it does not mine but it is still a somewhat good computer. To buy just PM me your order. I am in the US but will ship worldwide if needed. First orders will ship in the next month, and the next in three months. To buy PM me an offer, the country you live in, and I will reply soon Wink

Specs:
4 AMD R9 290X
4 Risers
1 Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3
1 AMD Sempron
1 8 gigs Corsair Memory
1 Rosewill HERCULES-1600 1600W (PSU)
1 Sandusky 8GB USB.
1 Computer Case (Custom Made)

Please note do not contact me wanting to use escrow, I would use it but due to the nature of this being a preorder I really can't, I need the money to start building them. I wish there was I way I could make this work but I would simply be taking too hard a hit to the pocket until I get the money from escrow.

I like this. Why would we want to pay YOU, if we can just buy same thing and build it ourselves? More like you just want free money for YOUR rig.
You pay me so that everything can be done right, I have had toms of past experience building computers. Here is the proof of  him actually paying me. http://imgur.com/5StJKUL

I have two friends that are interested. They missed out on the preorders. Assuming you don't want too high a premium I can set you up with them.

I understand where u are coming from... but from what I can tell... about half of the newbie posts in hardware are obvious scams. It makes it tedious to even browse hardware...
334  Economy / Goods / Re: Prevention is better than a cure. Please escrow. on: January 15, 2014, 05:54:18 PM
Ok,

I think there needs to be some new rules established for this forum. There are way too many scams going on in the marketplace and too many new users showing up with lots of pricey hardware for sale with little or no proof that they own it.

That said, I think some simple rules and regulations for posting in classifieds would be very helpful.

1. All for sale threads MUST have atleast one picture of the physical item you are selling which includes a piece of paper with user name and date in the shot. This is required on many other forums and is a no-brainer.

2. A list of payment options posted in the very first post with it clearly stated whether escrow is accepted or not and who the preferred escrow provider would be.

Finally. Its been a while since I was a newbie but if I remember correctly. There were requirements for post counts etc. before posting in the rest of the site. I think it would be nice if these were made a little stricter for the marketplace section... something like >50 posts required.

Thanks,

I will buy it for 20 btc... I understand if this is too low now.... btc only has to double 5 more times... give or take, so I will continue to check back Wink

I allways try and give newbies a chance...

Luckily Paypal doesn't usually release funds like this until the items are delivered. One of the reasons I chose to use paypal.

But you are all right. The extra protection that disputing gives me is worthwhile.
338  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Butterfly Labs Mini Rig 500GHs on: January 14, 2014, 02:39:41 PM
Put the transaction under dispute. I got several private messages from him yesterday saying his account got hacked. Then saying he was underage...

Anyone know how long it'll take to get paypal to refund?
339  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] HUGE tracts of land! OK, 3.3 acres in North Carolina, at least. on: January 14, 2014, 03:29:58 AM
It is residential.... I'm gonna go with no. Plus you'd be better off moving to Colorado if that were your intention.

Jeez I really want these lots... Just 1 more 200% gain in the price of BTC... then they are mine!
340  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Butterfly Labs Mini Rig 500GHs on: January 13, 2014, 07:35:54 PM
Nope. I'm waiting to see if they get here... will post back with the outcome.
Thanks
