322  Economy / Auctions / Re: Bitcoin site for sale : HitPxl - $4000 monthly income on: April 14, 2016, 04:52:57 PM
This guy ran an auction regarding this site a week ago:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1423830.0;all

His price has sure gone up since then!

He seems to be driving a lot of his traffic to this site from 2 other sites that he owns.

The whole thing seems a little questionable if you ask me.

327  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: i need some BTC on: April 13, 2016, 01:41:31 PM
Don't know why would someone create an account here with the purpose of buying btc when they can buy it on some known websites. But if OP insists to buy here because maybe he does not trust those websites, he can buy from sardasa. Here you go: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1268477.0

I have that same question too!  The 2 major exchanges - localbitcoins and Paxful have reputable traders, escrow, good support too.  They are turnkey trade solutions for those who don't do enough volume to join an exchange.  You can even meet people locally and pay in cash to increase anonymity.

Or find a trader here who has experience with trading on Bitcoin Forums.

If you do decide to go the LBC route, I know a good trader there: https://localbitcoins.com/ad/315497/purchase-bitcoin-cash-deposit-bank-of-america-instant-release-right-now-united-states

I know him well (it's me Cheesy)

Thanks, pooya87 for providing those links.  The link to the currency exchange is what I am looking for.  I'm trading bitcoin for fiat.
329  Economy / Trading Discussion / I want to make a trade! on: April 13, 2016, 02:47:12 AM
Why are there no posts about people wanting to make trades?  Is it not allowed?  Is it allowed but not feasible?

If it is allowed, I definitely will be willing to trade with someone with integrity.

If it isn't allowed, well, I apologize.

So, please let me know one way or the other:

-You're interested!

-It's not allowed Sad

-It's not feasible (trust, logistical, ?)

Thanks!

332  Economy / Lending / Re: Out of curiosity, what do people do with bitcoins when asking for a loan? on: April 11, 2016, 11:25:49 PM
These questions are usually more a probe into lenders and excuses scammers can use then actual interest.
They pop up enough to notice the trend and see which lenders may be more suspect to being scammed.
2 posts and you found lending to ask this question with no hidden agenda? Not likely.

Interesting take, I never thought about that.

This thread did at least help me to understand all the reasons behind taking out such smallish loans.
333  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am confused with trading.Help me out on: April 11, 2016, 03:41:24 PM
Everyone keep going around buy low and sell high. You guys are just using different and more complicated ways to say the same thing.
There are real techniques for trading. But, looks like no one here knows. And those who know it, are not willing to teach.

Yes, buy low and sell high.  But it is more complicated than that.

First, wherever you buy, you are probably going to want to find a different source to sell.

For example, if you think you can buy on bitstamp and then resell on bitstamp, you won't have much of a markup if any.  You have to find a different exchange or a different source to sell.

For example, buy on bitstamp and then sell on the otc market, like meeting someone in person or selling on localbitcoins.  The difference in price of what you've bought and then what you've sold can be profitable.

Even better is if you find a trader who wants to get rid of his coins at below market rates.  If you advertise enough on Craig's List, localbitcoins, backpages, etc, you may eventually find people, like miners, bitcoin enthusiasts, etc, who will see you at below market rate.  You can then resell these on the exchanges or from a local buyer.

That is where the buy low, sell high comes in.  If you can't buy at a good rate, you will not be able to sell at a higher rate.

Hope this helps!
334  Economy / Securities / Re: Suggest me best and trusted, oldest site for btc investment. on: April 11, 2016, 02:45:03 PM
hey there all help me to find out the best btc investment which really do business(which really trade or invest our invested btc NOT SCAM).so please tell me best investment site which is trusted and really work, because there are lot of scams investment sites.
thank you

btcjam is not bad.  Just invest in anyone with an A+ rating, who has lots of feedback.  Otherwise, you will probably lose everything.  One thing about btcjam: they recently closed off investments from the U.S., so that may limit you.

The other lending sites, like loanbase are also full of potential scammers.

Nearly everything I have read here in the forum posts as well as on other sites regarding cloud mining, is that it is a scam.  Or at best, the payouts are worse than if you just held on to your btc.  I imagine that the potential for profit will even get worse when the halving comes.

I think the best form of investment is either just buy and hold or by trading.

Buying and holding is self-explanatory.  Trading can be rough.  I would read up on other posts to see best practices for trading.

Good luck!
335  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 2FA Authentication on: April 11, 2016, 02:33:55 PM
Is it better to have 2FA authentication code in your bitcoin site? Ex: Faucets, investments, and wallets?
What is the advantages and disadvantages of having 2FA code in your account? Thanks!

Yes!  You SHOULD have 2fa with any account related to money.  That includes all exchanges, faucets, gambling sites...and the list goes on.

I have been reading about a lot of social engineering hacks on email accounts.  So, I have enabled 2fa on nearly everything of value, even if it is something personal, like my email.

Countless people (me included) have learned the hard way about not using 2fa-  a brute force attack on your password will hack your account and steal your btc.  So, don't learn the hard way.

The disadvantages are the extra "hassle" of going thru 1 additional step.  It's worth it!  Even if you are a trader and you have many trades coming in at once..yes it does slow you down, but it is worth it.

You can have 2fa in many forms.  Some offer a paper printout option, others require you to enter a code retrieved by Google authenticator and authy.

I guess another disadvantage is if you lose your cell phone and you have to enter a code from authy or google authenticator.  I think, though, that you can still access these 2fa apps from a computer.

So, long story short:  yes!

339  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: where to get cheapest bitcoin? on: April 09, 2016, 11:04:08 PM
what do you think about buying cheapest btc.i want to become trader but i dont have idea where to buy and sell.
first i want to say selling btc is ok if i have btc.but if i want to buy and sell, then first tell me where to buy so that i could sell for profit.
i dont think you will get the cheapest bitcoin price,in some exchange just have small margin with other exchange, and the only way to get cheaper or cheapest bitcoin price, its with bid it from people.

Exactly!  If you post enough ads and do enough marketing and get the word out that you want to buy below exchange rates, you will eventually find people.  You will still need an exchange for the times that your demand outweighs your supplies.
340  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fastest way to sell bulk bitcoins on: April 09, 2016, 10:55:25 PM
local bitcoin make a account and sell a few for cheaper than the going
rate so you can build up reputation.

then start selling them in 1-2 btc at a time.

you got to build up. Its gonna be tough to trust or be trusted
to meet with someone and make a 5k ish transaction.

That's a good option to sell through localbitcoins.com, Even there are traders who are accepting bulk volume of bitcoins.

Completely agree.

The OP could even offload them by putting up cash deposit online ad and offer at spot and would have no trouble unloading them.  I do think you would draw some attention if you did that.

I would mix it up by adding a couple of exchanges like someone else mentioned.

Also, when unloading them quickly, think about how you are going to collect the money.  The quickest option- electronically- leaves the biggest trail.  If you are going to meet up in cash, don't sell big amounts until you feel comfortable.  Selling 10 or more btc at a time, and you're talking carrying over 3k on you.  What are you going to do with the cash?  Keep it on you the whole day?  What if you have more than 1 sale?  Before you know it, you could have over 20k on you and you're walking down the street suspicious of everyone.
