321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have lost hope in ETHEREUM - Pending transaction won't complete on: December 09, 2017, 05:56:13 PM
It is faster to transfer money from a bank account to another bank... ETH is getting useless...

When this is over  I will be getting rid of all my ethereum again. This has truly showed me a big downside of ethereum.
Things will get back to normal in no time, we have to understand that demand for ethereum has been overwhelming of late and this should be expected for any service...and need to leave eth has some good projects on its platform.
I think these are good times for miners.
We need moore!
They are good times indeed and the only way to avoid these delays in confirmations is to have more miners.
322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do people actually buy coins with real life money? on: December 09, 2017, 11:30:14 AM
Now when BC is sky high and ETH also pretty high. DO people even give their real money for those currencies. I mean give 300$ for 1ETH or 6000$ for 1BC is too much for most people.

Why not? if you will call your bitcoin or ethereum coins an investment then you need to be ready to break the bank regardless of the price .

Quote
I mean how often do people buy crypto currency like ETH and BC
Wouldnt say often but people do buy these crypto currencies including myself, somethings you just need to give up somethings to afford the cryptocoins.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid phishing websites? on: December 09, 2017, 10:44:14 AM
One of the problems that makes it difficult to spot a fake site from a legit site is some projects use domains that are not yet popular and scammers have little to do by simply using the premium domains like  [dot] com, [dot] net etc and writing down these phishing sites will be to much work to do, i think the suggested solution of bookmarking is the best.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am ANGRY!!! Why certain coins are exploding??? on: December 08, 2017, 05:18:35 PM
Some coins have always enjoyed a good run whenever bitcoin is bullish and some explode as a result of a strong supporting community but at the end of the day we just have to accept that we shall win some and lose some...thats just the nature of cryptos no need to get mad about this.
325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why some country banned bitcoin? on: December 08, 2017, 03:27:17 PM
why some country banned bitcoin?
Bitcoin being decentralized means its difficult to control and if a country allows it, it simply means giving up control, but some counties like Japan are having it under their control through exchanges and traders who act as their proxy of control.

is there any problem? i know that bitcoin is international crypto currency. but why some country banned this cryto?
Some countries ban cryptos to keep certain crimes under their control, some are preventing people from getting away with money laudering or simply because the govt does want to lose out on revenue.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are a legit or Scam? on: December 08, 2017, 03:02:35 PM
AFAIK we have some legit ICOs and of course some scam projects that are only interested in the money aspect and will disappear immediately after collecting these funds
any advise how you guys determine whether is it a legit or Scam?
My recommendation that comes to determining the right project is finding projects with team members that have a digital footprint that can be easily traced on recognizable platforms like LinkedIn if not that their past work should have easy reference and if possible the ICO should have a prototype of a project before crowd sourcing.
327  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin replace gold? on: December 08, 2017, 07:42:02 AM
Bitcoin replacing gold is highly unlikely because these are in different worlds, bitcoin is based on technology and gold is basically a precious metal but where the real difference comes is based on demand and price. Bitcoin will have more demand than gold because btc is easier to get and more people will prefer to invest in bitcoins because of the high return on investment as compared to gold.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin or Monero on: December 07, 2017, 08:39:51 PM
Hi Guys,

I'm a noob to the crypto space but have some money in BTC and ETH, if you were going to get a 3rd coin would you go with XMR or LTC?  I like the anonymity with Monero but get worried that govts could intervene.....Leaning towards LTC.

Any help would be great, thanks.
You already own two cryptocurrencies that are considered the most valuable in today's crypto market and with the rise of bitcoin value I honestly think the best coin to add to your investment portfolio should be Monero.. as feel governments sooner or later will start to intervene with all sorts of regulations to get digital currencies under their control.
329  Economy / Economics / Re: TIME FRAME TO REACH $25,000 on: December 07, 2017, 06:43:46 PM
At the rate at which bitcoin is moving its possible so see $25,000 before the end of the year or not to get our hopes to high earliest this could happen is in the first quarter of 2018.

yeah today the price of bitcoin is reached $15000 i think the price of bitcoin will incresing until next year because right now bitcoin is more popular and all people want to know about cryptocurrency especially bitcoin, so they want to have a bitcoin. i think this is the factor thats makes bitcoin price is higher
I think people had a lot of time to research about what bitcoin is all about, maybe thats the reason behind why prices are skyrocketing right now because they are now actually investing in it.
330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin More Important Than Ethereum ? on: December 07, 2017, 11:28:49 AM
Is Bitcoin More Important Than Ethereum?
According to the record books bitcoin is considered as the most important because it helped put the blockchain on the radar  which later on allowed other altcoins to be born but to be honest, both Bitcoin and ethereum are quickly important because they are compliments of each other and the devs themselves could use one or two code lines from either coins to perfect and ensure the smooth running of the network...which is why we have different devs forking the bitcoin network to fix all bottlenecks as its still a work in progress.
331  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen if we use a one currency only? on: December 07, 2017, 07:51:45 AM
[Edited to make it more understandable question]
What if all nation use only a one currency or one global currency?, What will happen to our world?, What is the effect of every nation's or every country economy?
-First choosing that one currency to be the global currency can bring division if there is a deadlock as super powers would want their currency to be picked.
- I think the idea of having one currency would make trade much cheaper as countries would not require an exchange to do business.

, It can make people's unite each other?Any opinion. Cheesy
If all countries are in support of a global currency, then Yes we just might have that unity and countries that have economies collapsing could be saved too.
332  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is holding bitcoin Greedy? on: December 06, 2017, 08:19:43 AM
Most people now with the rise of bitcoin value, just want to hold bitcoin for as long as they can so that they can maximize their worth. But isn't it a little too greedy to just keep holding bitcoin?
Holding is one way of ensuring the value of bitcoin rises and it has nothing to do with greed, let us not forget bitcoin was worth peanuts some time back and very few people took this technology seriously.

We've all read that story in the school with the moral "Greed is a Curse".
So what if too much greed in bitcoin may backfire? What if, the hodlers end up with nothing?
Nothing like greed here, people want to be spoon fed all the time and for anyone to be successful they need to sacrifice resources to enjoy the investment in the future. Backfire lol just invest and stop asking too many questions Smiley
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you ❤️ crypto??? on: December 06, 2017, 07:41:44 AM
I  ❤️  cryptos because I find them easy to use
-cryptos give us the financial freedom that we do not get with fiat.
-cryptos are for everyone regardless of financial status or where that person is from.
-cryptos can be used for more than one purpose other than being used as currency, it can be used as an investment as well.
334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 05, 2017, 04:29:28 PM
I think that the management of Manchester United, for decent money, can release Martial in any of the strongest clubs. Let's see how it will be in the future.
There was a time the club would have let Martial to leave the club but seeing how well his fighting for his place in the starting eleven, a sale for Martial is definitely off the table as his instrumental to the club. Right now money isnt a big deal for Manchester United but football being a business a club that would be willing to break the bank might get him.
Looking at how rumors go I think there is a chance for A.C. Milan to make Antonio Conte as their manager, but looking at the current position of Conte now I doubt that he is willing to switch sides right now as he is doing a good job as Chelsea's manager. A.C. Milan's season is quiet a disappointement for many fans as they spent a massive amount in the transfer window yet they are not performing good even in their own league.
Antonio Conte  is a smart manager, I don't not think he can leave a strong team like Chelsea for an A.C. Milan side I see to be struggling...I expect Conte to extend his contract and the good thing about rumours is they do not always turn out to be true.
335  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How can we encourage local businesses to accept BTC? on: December 05, 2017, 02:24:12 PM
In order for that to happen for me i think the government should take part on supporting bitcoin as well so that local businesses will be assured to the new type of currency they will soon to accept and use, another one is by getting backed by most banks especially the one's that is run by the government or international bank.
I agree with you, apparently government support is what these businesses need as its the only way that will assure local businesses that accepting bitcoin will not put them in any sort of trouble with the authories(Law) as cryptos will be legalized to use.
If more countries replicate the manner in which Japan handled the whole idea of regulating cryptos, cryptocurrencies should start to boom all around the world.
336  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beware of Fake Exchanges on: December 04, 2017, 07:47:33 PM
Credit goes to the OP for bringing this to light and just like the old saying: a problem shared is a problem solved.
If we all remain vigilant, we are certainly going to put these cheap knockoffs out of business for trying to scam people of their hard earned money.

Quote
I just want to say, if we become cautious and smarter then one day there will be no scammer.
Agree, if all of these scams are exposed I think there will no tricks left for these scammers
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook & Google creating its own Cryptocurrency! on: December 04, 2017, 02:48:59 PM
Both facebook and google will have to keep up with the current competition from the likes of BitClave, Presearch, Nebulas and many others that already have a head start in this technology, and On the business side of things once these guys invest in cryptocurrencies it becomes a new product on the market which is either going to be a hit or a fail. Am sure these tech giants can't wait to explore the power of the blockchain.
While we are discussing about this matter maybe these company are working and developing their own currency and also developing their own blockchain this is not impossible, the big deal here is promoting their own currency is piece of cake to these large company.
This would be a game changer for us and themselves but would it be necessary for them to invest in their own blockchains or keep using already existing ones?
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think people will turn to Monero? on: December 03, 2017, 05:38:19 PM
When bitcoin becomes more regulated, do you think that people will turn to Monero to keep their financial freedom?
One thing I understand about regulations is it could either lead to increased adoption of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, or it could shift the traffic to a cryptocurrency like Monero that has privacy protocols already embedded in it as people would want to enjoy their financial freedom. But as things stand cryptocurrencies can either be regulated and legal or deemed illegal, so better than nothing regulated won't stop bitcoin from growing.
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the factors that affect the rise and fall of the BTC? on: December 03, 2017, 03:11:07 PM
Hello!

How BTC's price change? What are the factors that affect the rise and fall of the BTC?
As far as I know, supply and demand are at the heart of things in deciding which direction bitcoin takes

then we have speculation that makes people to panic sell or panic buy and usaully forks do play a role in the rise and fall of the BTC prices.
340  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Hit $15,000 before year end on: December 01, 2017, 06:45:28 AM
Recently we witnessed another all time high in the price of BTC where value was above the $11,000 mark before a drop to around $9,200, Should we expect another ATH around $15,000 before the year runs out?
An ATH before the year yes, but not anywhere near $15,000 but then again we cant write off this possibility because with bitcoin nothing is impossible, and I have noticed that as the price of bitcoin keeps growing more investors and more noticeably institutional investors are joining the bandwagon of bitcoin, which is evident that the digital currency is gaining mainstream acceptance and price should keep growing more naturally and we might hit mid $12000 .
