Hi guys,
Due to the continue unconfirmed identity of "Jonald Fyookball", which Electrum calls a "fake name". There is also no way to confirm the authenticity of compiled Electron Cash client even though it is a fork from the original Electrum.
So I am taking the steps below:
1. Move bitcoins in Electrum to my new Trezor. [1] 2. Wait until funds are confirmed in the Trezor wallet. 3. Enter the seed/key of now empty old wallet in Electrum in Electron Cash. [2]
[1] Can someone confirm this will move only BTC, and not BCC, since the BCC blockchain has replay protection.
[2] Since the BTC have been moved to a new wallet, entering an old seed in Electron Cash will not put your BTC funds at risk, right?
Please advice.

Hi guys, what do you guys normally do with the monies? keep it in exchange for future purchases or transfer it to your bank account.
And if the latter do you then put it in the fixed deposits for stable interest rates?

Which coin can be used for real day-to-day payment these days?
So from what I read in this thread the answer to your question is none for now (I assume you asked about altcoins only, not btc) Looks like it, which is quite frankly a bit disappointing. We are trading in a 100 billion market cap asset with very little day-to-day life usage bar trading and online betings.

What is your take on certain small(er) altcoins that is dominated by a single exchange. For example tagcoin's transaction is almost entirely from btc38.

Am thinking of claiming my BCC later (not soon) is there any potential drawbacks?
My coins are in electrum and other cold storage.
I'm in no rush. I'm not doing a thing right now. When the dust settles (weeks, months), I'll split my coins and decide what to do. I want to be very careful not to get replay attacked, and also may as well wait until the Bitcoin Cash chain adjusts difficulty so we have normal block intervals again. Same thought

Salam teman dari Indonesia. Is there anyone here with competencies in banking and programming? Maybe, just maybe, we can start an altcoin together this time. To continue off where Indocoin left.

ICO is a short term adrenaline, once the adrenaline ends it's not gonna look good. And this will reflect unfashionably on coins too.

What do you mean by "day-to-day payment"?
Merchants accepting it as a form of payment, not just trading.

well bitcoin is really popular in asian countries not to mention the trading volume on South Korea is really high and still counting until now. if it made any significant difference on
a certain country, it'll probably get noticed by its government so to answer your question yes they already recognized bitcoin as a payment method and are currently regulating it.
although its not like what happened on japan that many stores did accept it as soon as the announcement arise. this is more like on my country philippines where it is mainly for
regulating--making sure that nothing disturbing is happening.
Bitcoin is popularly traded in Asia, but I have rarely seen daily use cases (I travel Asia alot) so it's refreshing to know that merchants are openly accepting it in SK.

Can someone in SK please confirm this? Or its rather just a call-for-discussion by the officials.

Why are some of the exchanges supporting BCC? What is the story behind?

Hi guys,
Whenever I am checking out tech stuff happenings in Asia, I always go to techinasia.com or e27. But for cryotocurrency news I can't seem to find any that is Asia-centric.
Does anyone have any to recommend?
Thanks

how many airdrops will we have more?
at least 2, probably 3, 4 is possible. (it depends how many people link BTC and if distribution changes) i'm surprised to see fewer BTC linked now than at last snapshot. So we are looking at airdrops wrapping up by end of the year. Any idea what is in line post-airdrop era?
