The future of bitcoin will stand cause the technology behind it is a technology that is for the future. The current drop in the price of bitcoin is not a big deal or point for bitcoin to crash out of the line, it is just a point of balance for a new hight in its price. If in few days/weeks of December 2017, the price hit a new and an unbelievable height, then there is no doubt that the past months of the year 2018 will be used for correction in its price. The use and popularity of bitcoin will be increased these year immediately the price recovers from its corrections.

i'm one who spend too much time for trading. I made so many stupid mistakes because of thinking emotionally instead of logically.  what is your opinion? For me, there is nothing wrong with Spending much time in trading, cause the good and well experienced traders are earning very well, due to some strong decisions they make and are able to deal with their emotions at the point of loss. So, if one can deal with all this, trading is the best part of crypto currencies. |

This is still the early stage of the year, in which bitcoin is still facing some price correction from the bum in the last quarters of 2017. ETH has a better chance of survival (as a smartcontract), but ripple, for me, has no much chance, cause its use for me is mainly for profit making if I will keep any. With the review of bitcoin at the end of last year, you will see that bitcoin has no specified patter of movement, therefore, the rise in the value/price of ETH and XRP cannot come in to take the popularity of bitcoin.

This depends on you OP, if you are investing into bitcoin as just an investor for a short run, and as a day trader, I will say this is not the right time, cause this is a time for price correction. But if you are an investor for a long run and not a day trader, then you can buy now and hold it for a long run. |

It is difficult to give advice on crypto trading when at a very despirate and distres time like this. Well, from OP, you said you have 20 of the top crypto coins, i will say you should hold them for some time and look for a job, that can keep you going for the mean time, It will not be good to go back into crypto in full for now ( due to the effect of bitcoin price to all other coin). Search for a job that can keep you going for a while.

Truelly, there are lots of coins in the market, but majority of them are being controlled with the influence of the price of bitcoin. When bitcoin drops, almost the whole market turns red, but when there is a rise in the price of bitcoin you'll see the green light everywhere. The current unstability in bitcoin has lots of factors behind it, which are numerousto mention. The unstability of bitcoin price has not in anyway affected its popularity.More and more people are investing into it now and waiting for the next rebounce. S, the popularity of bitcoin still holds,cause it is the first coin in the digital currency(ies).

I see many buyers will come into action if it drops more today and tomorrow. It's all volume based and supply and demand theory. I will wait and see for more how much percent its going to drop today and tomorrow and then I will lock the buy positions based on the observations. I m waiting eagerly to get into some nice position to repair profits in the long run and I m not in hurry.
That is what people said when it dropped to 15000. Then they saw the dip to 12000 as a good buying opportunity. Then people like you said to buy at 10000 because that was cheap. Then people like you in here said to buy at 8000 to be prepared for the upturn. Now you say the same at 6000..... Go ahead, throw you money away chasing a dream to get-rich-quick. Reality is that the party is over. For me, Its not actually a scheme to get rich quick. The blockchain technology is somethingvery nice to keep one going with the crypto currency or bitcoin. Okay, as at 3-4 years back, the price of bitcoin has not planned of gaining heights to $6000, now it is dropping down from $17000 to $6000, does not mean it can't get back and above its initial price. Everyone knows well that bitcoin is always on a rollercoaster ride, today might be good, and in the next hour it is bad. Lets just wait for a good rebounce towards the end of the month. |

Fr me, if bitcoin does not scale up, then it will start facing some hard time with other altcoins, cause its fame will no more be there, and a coin might rise up to beat it down with the market cap. But if bitcoin should scale up again, then it will be a store of value and some other altcoins will be used for the daily trades.

Bitcoin is not in danger, becauseof the down trend in the bitcoin price, that is why there is nervousnes with the holders of bitcoin.The price might still go down, to a point of serious loss to all crypto currencies, cause for now, the whole of crypto market and the altcoin price all lies on bitcoin, which means bitcoin is a major effect to all crypto curreny. Bitcoin still affect ETH, but due to ETH is one of the top 5 coins, it is tryingto hold its stand, not being controlled all through by bitcoin.

ETH is a coin with a very strong stand for a long term run along side BTC. And it is of more balance and accepted with lots of users to LTC... Lots of ICOs uses the base of ETH as a stand as concerening the ERC20 rule. LTC is yet to get ststrong, but can't be compared with ETH.

With the look of the current and continuous drop in its price, it is a very good time to invest, cause in the last few weeks in the end of last year, the price skyrocked to the moon, and now, it is giving room for new investors and a new balance for this year's run. And new heights will be attained by this year in its price.
It will be good, too, having your portfolio filled with some good altcoins added to bitcoin.
