321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run / wishful think ? on: November 02, 2019, 07:12:18 AM
Investors are doing everything they can to make the market to go up and we are seeing this in the current growth of bitcoin but the rest of the market stayed more or less the same and since then the price has been going down.

But I doubt we will see a bull run on the final quarter of this year, the conditions are not there and despite the efforts to try to support cryptocurrencies the market is not ready to go up, and we know that if the market does not go up for some time it will eventually begin to go down as investors get their money out of the market.

I beg to disagree with your points. There will be a bull run in the final quarter of this year because there are conditions for it. And not just the existence of such conditions but also the absence of negative air around Bitcoin and the crypto market. Just recently, china has released a very friendly statement that would contribute a lot of confidence for crypto. Another would be the upcoming halving. That is also a huge contributing factor. Bakkt is also gaining momentum. All these factors are creating the bull run condition.
We will have to wait to see who was right but personally I do not care about being right, I care about making profits out of my investments, if I am wrong most of the time but I can still get profits I do not have any problem with that.

If you turn out to be right and I am wrong I will have no problem changing my posture and I will become bullish the instant my system tells me there are strong signs of a bull market and this is something not everyone can do since I saw many people that were bullish during 2018 when there were no reasons to be bullish.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in multiple altcoins on: November 02, 2019, 06:22:29 AM
XRP, BNB, BCH and USDT are altcoins that have potential in the future. With 377usd I suggest choosing BNB / XRP and USDT, ebcause BCH has a high enough value. in my opinion 377usd is used to maximize management, don't choose more than 4 coins or you can put all in to bitcoin.
Investing in USDT or in any stable coin is not really an investment unless the currency of your country is going trough severe inflation and you need to somehow protect your money.

But in every single other case it is better to not invest in stable coins, besides there are many that recommend to invest in altcoins but I do not see what you can gain from it when investors have been so focused in bitcoin and it does not seem to be any interest for any other coin.
323  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin: "Maybe Is a Partial Store of Value" on: November 02, 2019, 05:57:11 AM
Is there such a thing called "partial store of value", it's either bitcoin is being used as SoV or not, there's no middle grounds there.

The thing is that this kind of debates has been on-going for many years now and actually people are seeing bitcoin as good leverage, hence store of value. That's why the term HODL came up, because early bagholders chooses not to sell a single bit of their coins because they know that the price could shoot up in the future, and it did at the end of 2017.
Even if we were to assume that bitcoin is a partial store of value then we need to question what kind of function other currencies can have.

Using that kind of standard then this means that gold is a partial store of value as well because as we know its price can go up and down, and what about fiat? Fiat doesn't even reach that standard, if anything fiat is a sure way to lose your wealth over time and yet you do not hear that from economists.
324  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Cryptobanks Future? on: November 02, 2019, 01:44:08 AM
There is always someone who periodically proposes some "bitcoin bank" without realizing that it is a contradiction in terms: at a certain point, one's Bitcoin account is in fact a bank, so it is not clear why the banks should to intervene.
People like us are never going to need something like a bitcoin bank but I'm not so sure about the rest of the population, I say this because we can secure our coins without too much of a problem.

But very few have the necessary knowledge to do it well, and they will probably ask themselves about the best way to protect their coins and in that case a bitcoin bank makes sense, I do not really like the idea and we should teach them how to protect their coins but I have a feeling that they will be lazy and they will take the easy way out.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC&ALTS price direct proportional? on: November 01, 2019, 05:13:40 AM
Teach me some crypto history. Did alts price rise in the past when BTC was rising or are there any other patterns showing up?
Everybody's talking about altseason but i'm not sure if i understand the term correctly.
Which tools do you use to track you coins?
Thank you!
Bitcoin and altcoins are correlated but they do not move in perfect synchrony this allows you to exploit the differences in those movements and earn bitcoin, altcoins or fiat.

It is very easy to see this in the charts, look at how a coin is moving compared to bitcoin and you will see there are long periods of time in which the coin remains static, this means bitcoin and that altcoin are moving in a similar way, but then there are instances when the price begins to go up or down which means the altcoin is growing or crashing faster than bitcoin.
326  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold exist 1000+ years. while bitcoins exist 10 years. on: November 01, 2019, 04:46:31 AM
It's not fair of comparing Gold with Bitcoin, you know Gold has the vast acceptability at every corner of the globe, the credibility of also gold has much bigger than Bitcoin because of having real value, gold is the most used metal since the very early age of human life. and Bitcoin is just 10years old so it still a newborn in comparison to the gold, but when you relate the price rising of both then Bitcoin has a positive sign, it's a potential much than Gold, but you can't yet reach the position where gold exists, but I believe Bitcoin will have a more value and acceptability around the world when people will realize its facts and factors.
The comparison seems fair to me, gold is by far the best form of money we have come up with since it has all the characteristics you may want in money.

Many keep thinking that bitcoin needs to beat fiat but that is not true, bitcoin has been better than fiat since day one, we are only lacking adoption, the true measure of the success for bitcoin will be if bitcoin begins to replace gold and take away some of its functions, if that happens then bitcoin will be on its way of becoming the best currency around the world.
327  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Some essential trading rules beginners! on: November 01, 2019, 04:11:41 AM
I think it's okay if beginner trader doing trade with less knowledge first, they have to experienced loss and learn how to avoid it.
No traders that instantly become pro traders, i'm sure the pro traders are having a hard time in old times. and by experience and learn much technical and fundamental analysis, they can manage their loss and profits.
The truth is that a beginner trader is not going to have too much of a choice, it does not matter how many books or videos he watches he is never going to be fully prepared until he becomes a full time trader.

Only then he will discover if he has what it is necessary to become a trader, because even if has all the knowledge of the world it does not matter if you do not have the necessary control of your emotions that is a must when you are trading with money that could change your life.
328  Economy / Speculation / Re: BULL VS BEAR on: November 01, 2019, 03:33:43 AM
The reason why the volatility is high simply because this is a world market that runs 24/7 and I agree that every pump there will be a dump after that.

there are many other markets that are also 24/7 but that doesn't make them volatile. the reason for bitcoin price volatility has nothing to do with that. it is only because of the small size of the market and the fact that it is also filled with a lot of newbies with weak hands.
you should also know that rise and fall is not the same thing as pump and dump! when bitcoin price goes up it is a rise not a pump. if it were a pump and dump then it would have never been able to go beyond $100 let alone reach 5 digits!
Another reason for the great volatility of this market is that many traders in their desire to make profits use huge leverage, and when their predictions are mistaken and they lose their money this causes an immediate crash in the price.

And we must also remember there are whales out there with a huge mount of coins that can move the market as they wish and when you add the lack of volume and the limited supply of bitcoin this creates an even greater volatility.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Time to Sell Altcoins on: November 01, 2019, 02:11:24 AM
I think the best time to sell your altcoins is during the market bull run - altcoins market bull run to be specific. If you buy altcoins during the ICO/IEO you should be ready to sell them once they got listed on a major exchange. what way you can make a lot of money.
You are assuming that as soon as a new coin is listed in a major exchange it is going to go up in price but the number of coins that do that is very limited.

Most coins as soon as are listed in an exchange go down in price immediately as investors begin to try to find buyers for their coins and then they realize there is no demand for them, when they realize this they begin to panic and as a result of this the price of their coins begins to go down even more.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin SV vs ETH on: October 30, 2019, 04:39:10 AM
Is investing in Bitcoin SV will be more beneficial as it haven't shown full potential yet or ETH will still be dominating in the time to come and should hold onto it ??
This is very easy if those two coins are your two choices then ethereum is by far the best choice, ethereum is at least an original project that is trying to do something completely different than what bitcoin is trying to achieve.

But bitcoin SV is nothing but a cheap copy of the original and if it wasn't because it has bitcoin in its name no one will care about that coin, I know that my words sound harsh but I cannot avoid thinking that way.
Even though Bitcoin SV is in 9th place, it can't make Bitcoin SV get 100% trust from the community,
if you just trade I don't think it's not a problem, but if you want to invest, choose ethereum because ethereum has a solid team and alliance
Bitcoin SV is popular enough but we have seen several projects with a high market cap turn out of be scams.

And it is my opinion that any project with bitcoin in their name whether this is to gain popularity or to try to reduce the market cap of bitcoin is not a coin worth investing or trading, it may seem like a posture that is too rigid but I do not want to hold bitcoin SV and one day discover the price has crashed to zero when I was sleeping.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China can easily launch a coin while Facebook is having a hard time on: October 30, 2019, 03:55:38 AM
All the talks this week are all about China launching its own coin, they can easily do that because China's main man Xi Jinping is the one who wants China to create one, while Facebook's Libra coin is having a hard time to convince the Congress to let them launch Libra Coin,

It's different between the two coins, one will launch easily while the other is having a hard time with the regulator
On a positive note, I think China's plan will be considered of those who are opposing Facebook plans to launch their coin but of course, it
will be highly regulated compared to China's coin who will be under the supervision of China's Central bank.

What's your thought on this?
China does not have any problem releasing their own coin because they are a government, Facebook is a private company and governments are not going to allow a private company to try to break their monopoly.

Facebook is learning the hard way why bitcoin is decentralized, no one can stop bitcoin because there is no central authority and there are not some servers to confiscate to destroy the coin, at this rate it is difficult for me to believe Facebook will release its Libra coin at any point in the future.
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you explain the recent surge in Bitcoin price? on: October 30, 2019, 03:31:28 AM
How do you explain the recent surge in Bitcoin price?

Whales are playing. It is happening all the time. In June price went up and down 20 % in few days. Price went down two days ago for almost 10%. Bitcoin price is highly manipulated by whales. That is why trading of Bitcoin is highly not advised.
The most likely explanation by far, many are claiming that China announcement about the development of the blockchain technology is responsible for this.

But the days when the Chinese government could make a statement and move this market are far away, what it is happening is probably the result of the whales trying to get every single dollar and bitcoin out of small investors, if that is true you can be sure the price will crash during the next weeks.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1000x potential token on: October 30, 2019, 03:02:48 AM
I think it is impossible to ride 1000x. If it is true ordinary developers who do trading themselves or indeed manipulation.
But maybe it could be because in crypto all can happen.

Open the CoinMarketCap and look (just for a pure interest) to some tokens statistics. Several of them managed to make this X1000. Yes, it was years ago; now, this turn seems to be impossible, but look for instance, at NEO. Too many people started to forget this so-called Chinese Ethereum, and it decided to Moonrise suddenly. Everything is possible with cryptocurrencies, and the hige growth also.
Agreed, going through the coinmarketcap it is possible to find a large number of tokens that have provided with such a big growth. This took place years ago and now people are waiting for such a moment which is really a dream in the present market. Neo, cardano, iota are tokens with good potential. These can get pumped anytime, and users were keeping hold of it with belief of experience same as 2017.
Even in the days in which icos were giving great profits it was not easy at all to generate 1000x in profits.

Those kind of results were never that common to begin with even at that time so I do not know why people think that they would be able to obtain those results now when the market is not giving this kind of profits anymore since no one is interested in investing in altcoins like they were back then especially when most projects are scams nowadays.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people easily get scammed on the internet? on: October 30, 2019, 02:31:38 AM
How do people get involved, how easily are people scammed and reasons?

Many individuals think of the internet as a get rich quick scheme and once they are exposed to any form of investment promising high ROI, witjout a second taught they jump onto it, you and I as well know how this will end? In a nutshell, GREED is a factor
Probably the most important reason that I find on why people get scammed on the Internet is the lack of common sense.

If you make a quick search about how to earn money on the Internet you are going to find many websites claiming to be able to make you a millionaire in a very short amount of time, but if that was true do you really think that they would be giving that information for free or for a very small cost? When you ask yourself that question is easy to see those promises are nothing but lies.
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LiteCoin or ETHEREUM? Best Investment option. on: October 29, 2019, 04:55:45 AM

ETH revolution 2.0 won't bring back the impact with the price in near future.
New technology adoption need a long way to stabilize and they need to adaption with the new tech.
So, i think it's just the beginning of ETH journey, and the price will up slowly
Yes, agree, even if there is an eth 2.0 revolution, it will take a long time to get to a high price. But it is suitable for long-term investment. Because at least the Vitalik eth developer and his friends have tried and tried for eth so that its development can be even better, so that the community is increasingly convinced if eth works hard and all work will definitely be rewarded
If you have the patience to wait for ethereum to go up in price then you can surely obtain profits, but I do not see the point, just wait for the market to indicate a possible recovery.

Right now the market seems like it is close to give that signal but until it comes just hold your fiat, you are not going to miss the movement if you wait and you will gain the advantage of not investing in ethereum over and over again waiting for a movement that only comes once or twice a year.
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your patience is being tested on: October 29, 2019, 03:57:56 AM
I personally prefer not to do anything and will never sell my altcoin at a lower purchase price, so that I don't feel a loss.
I believe with what I invest every patience must produce maximum results.
only a strong person will win.
I admire such a strong hope for the best of things. After one has performed all the necessary researches on projects and identify the true potentials of the coin in possession, it is good to stay patient and wait on the project as it develops gradually to its full potentials. Crypto belongs to those who can exercise patience because it is not practically a get-rich-quick avenue.
I am not so sure I share the same sentiment, it is true that people are often told that holding their coins is a good idea but there are many cases in which the best thing you can do is to accept a small loss now than a larger loss tomorrow.

And when it comes to icos this is even more true, the market of icos is in the middle of a crisis, one of which I do not think it will recover, then investing and holding any coins coming from icos is not a good idea.
337  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't spend bitcoin. Not now. on: October 29, 2019, 03:23:02 AM
If you spend your bitcoins now, you might regret it soon. The selling has been non-stop since reaching $13,000 and it seems that the market is very oversold, yet no sign of stopping. However, if you spend it now, maybe next week or the week before that, the price may gain 50%.
You were close, the price of bitcoin increased something like 35% in a very short amount of time but since then it seems like the positive movement of bitcoin has stopped for some reason.

It is still not clear to me what will happen, if the price can close above 10k then we could see a huge FOMO forming but if this does not happen during the next weeks then it could be possible for the price to go down once again and for the market to turn bearish once more.
338  Economy / Economics / Re: The Decline and Fall of the European Union on: October 29, 2019, 03:06:06 AM
The UK has such a big economy that Brexit means the EU's GDP will shrink by 16%.

There are 27 countries left in the EU, and of those only five are net contributors. So the strain on those economies to fill the financing gap left by the UK will be immense.

We shall find out in the next recession whether the EU survives or not.
Even if the European Union survives the next recession I do not think of this as a signal that it will not disappear in the future, the European Union has been destined to fail from the beginning

It is going to be impossible to try to unite Europe when they have so many differences when it comes to their economies and as time passes the citizens of those countries are getting angry that many of the decisions are not being taken by elected politicians in their countries.
339  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin hit a new low since 2018 on: October 27, 2019, 04:25:44 AM
Now some people on the Internet predict that bitcoin will hit a new low since 2018. Is this someone harvesting leeks and alarmist? Historically, there seems to be a similar voice every time prices fall. Our retail investors are reduced to leeks every time.
For your own good it is better for you to stop listening to those people and instead try to look at bitcoin and what the price does by yourself, if you do you will notice that after the lowest point is reached bitcoin then goes up and then the new low is never as low as the previous one.

When you look at bitcoin this way then the chances we will see a new low which is even lower than what we saw during 2018 is very unprovable and you should use your time to learn as much as you can about this market instead of wasting it listening to those people.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in multiple altcoins on: October 27, 2019, 03:47:35 AM
Investing in many altcoins is a risky task because you can't manage it very well. You need a lot of time and effort for you to manage your portfolio very well. It is better if your portfolio will be lesser.

I think only invest in the top coins that are available in this market because they are coins with good trading volume and little volatility so you can easily control. Currently in the crypto market there are thousands of choices for you but if you have a smart investment strategy and a good understanding, this is not a problem that you have to worry about. I personally have been involved in long-term investments for many years now and I tend to hold more than 10 coins in this market.
I have about 60 coins in my portfolio and I continue to increase this amount and leave it for the long term. Now there are a lot of new projects that look good and I’m sure that in the future some of them will bring me huge profits
60 coins? Are you a full time investor? If not then how can you keep track of all your coins and know if you are getting profits or losses?

I have very few coins and yet I find difficult to keep track of them to the point sometimes I forget to check how they have been doing for months, consequently I am curious about how you can manage such a large portfolio and not get confused, maybe you are using an automated way to keep track of them or maybe you are doing so well as a trader that you have hired some people to help you with this.
