321  Economy / Speculation / Re: looking for answer on: September 03, 2017, 04:12:28 AM
Everything can happen in btc. The value will either go up to its highest or go down to its deepest. Who knows when that will happen. But I don't think it will go lower than $4,000 now. Especially that more and more people are investing in btc. China and Japan are on board and Russia too is joining the boat. I think for now the only way btc is going will be upwards.
322  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuelans are adopting Bitcoin on: September 02, 2017, 02:20:28 PM
https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2017/09/big-in-venezuela/534177/

I thought this was fascinating. Could be the first instance of a nation-state adopting BTC as a useful currency.

That's good to hear. Seeing that Venezuela's currency, Bolivar, is unstable these days. Thank God that we have btc that can help people like the Venezuelans to have other source of income. And I guess btc for them at these moments aren't just income. It is mana from heaven for them. It's hard to be a victim of an economic crisis worrying how you can sustain living and supplies are scarce. I hope all the best for Venezuela and its people.
323  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has defeated gold on: September 02, 2017, 01:58:29 PM
Bitcoin: $1260/BTC
Gold: $1241/xau
Well, I can not believe that the Bitcoin prices has crossed over gold sooner than I expect. I thought the process would be finished in April. Wow, Bitcoin is truly worth and everyone who has sold their Bitcoin has made a huge mistake. Nothing can stop Bitcoin right now.

If that was the case 6 months ago then what about now that btc value grew 3x more from its value in March. I wonder where gold stands now. Though gold is a good tangible asset, btc takes the word "asset" on a whole new level. And that it enables everyone to have the opportunity for great investment because it isn't exclusive to just one circle of the society. Everyone that are openminded and are ready to venture into cryptocurrency investment have a place here and it contributed to the success of btc.
324  Economy / Economics / Re: How many can resist selling off their BTC for huge profits? on: September 01, 2017, 12:17:40 PM
What percent of people do you think are able to resist selling their BTC when confronted with huge profits they've obtained.  Say 500% or more even?

We can never be sure. But I think only 5 out of 100 people can hold their btc if they profited 500%. That is a huge amount already so I don't think majority of the holders can resist selling. And besides most of us here are traders and we know what traders do. Sell at highest and buy at lowest. Even I will really sell my btc if we came to that scenario but not all of my btc of course. Just a portion will do then wait for a much higher profit because we know that btc can offer more than 500% profit.
325  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: August 31, 2017, 02:33:28 PM
Checking out my trades in poloniex, I'm really glad that btc price is now rising - but still I'm waiting for my trade to hit the roof ~
I hope that btc continue to rise in the succeeding months and more people will start investing.

It is increasing recently and the price now was impressive as it reaches $4,610 and breaks $4,500. We are now heading to see the price of bitcoin at $5,000. And this can happen before and after November as there is another thing that is about to happen and many are saying that it will going to be the real test for bitcoin.

I know right? Though my early prediction of reaching the $5,000 mark by the end of this month, which is today, didn't happen I'm still happy about the increase. I just hope that I could celebrate this trend with my friends. Unfortunately they don't have the time to understand btc because they're busy making a living from their day job.
326  Economy / Economics / Re: Is USD being used for illegal activities? on: August 30, 2017, 01:45:14 PM
I see more and more articles of the USD being used for illegal activities, such as funding of terrorists and unconstitutional, illegal wars, funding of wars that cause severe infringement of civil liberties like the war on drugs, among other things. I am pretty sure that when goons smash into convenience stores and steal stuff, then the money they probably steal is USD, which makes it criminal currency. Also, I am pretty sure that the baseball bats that majority of the goons have bought were paid for by the USD.

Also, most people collect rain water, drink raw milk, and throw cannabis seeds in soil, all three acts which are considered serious illegal felonies punishable by seriously expensive fines and extensive jail time, possibly life in prison.

Some people also walk, drive, fish, or hunt without a permit that can easily be bought for in USD.

Will this hurt USD in the long run? Will governments ban this just like they started to do with paying in cash for some services to harden the use of illegal activities, and money laundering?

Actually, I'm pretty sure that ALL of the currencies in the world are being used in illegal activities. Most criminals opt to use USD because it is considered global money. And amywhere you go usd have great value and is accepted in every countries. But really, even the currency that has lowest exchange rate for other currencies are being used illegally. Say for example we are in the China. If one breaks into a convenience store he'll probably get a bunch of Yuans there and not a single usd.
327  Economy / Economics / Re: Some things to consider before starting a business on: August 30, 2017, 08:48:03 AM
Thanks for this really helpful information that all who wants to start their own business need. It really is hard to find a stable job nowadays. Lots of applicants are being rejected from the companies they are applying for that's why the unemployment rate is high. So I heard this advice in television just earlier and it said that if you don't have a job then you make your own job/business. And it's true I believe in it. And right now I am still hoping to start the business that I have always wanted.
328  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people dont even know what this is yet. on: August 29, 2017, 03:42:44 PM
I think it is really good that most of the people don't know what is bitcoin. This means that we are among the 1% (not sure about the percentage) of people that have known bitcoin sooner. That time when all of people know what is bitcoin and need that for their life, the price will be much higher than today. So we will be rich.

You're right, I'm with you here. We really are the lucky if not the luckiest ones in this world having known btc way before others. And I think it will still take years for other people to realize the importance of btc is. Sure, they've heard about it. They know what btc is but actually most of them didn't even bother to know this cryptocurrency. Once I've told this to my friends but they don't seem really serious. They asked me to teach them about it the first minute. Then completely forget about it the next day.
329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using bitcoins for? on: August 29, 2017, 03:34:04 PM
Some of my btc actually goes for our electricity and water bills. Then some of it I just keep in my wallet as savings for future. You know, I've been planning on an early retirement funds and I think that btc is really the answer. Seeing how positive things are going on right now that btc is at 4600. I guess I'll have that early retirement earlier than I've thought.
330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Taxi on: August 29, 2017, 10:50:37 AM
I drive a taxi in Brooklyn NY and have a sign in the back saying I accept Bitcoin. Well, yesterday finally someone wanted to pay me bitcoins, we agreed on a price of .004 bitcoins but, guess what, it was going to cost him almost $6 in fees to send me $16. We had wallet settings on low fees and fees made doing the transaction unreasonable. He was using Jaxx wallet on Android phone. I was disappointed. This is a bad sign, Bitcoin is broken. He ended up paying me cash

That's the reason why I think people will not pay in btc for their fares even if taxi drivers accept btc for payment. As much as we'd like to pay for all our everyday expenses such as fares and groceries via btc, we just can't because of those high fees. I hope someday it will be regulated and the fees will be reasonable in every transactions.

333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My error on: August 26, 2017, 10:22:00 AM
I really miss out last year for not accumulated enough Bitcoin, by now I have been a millionaire.

Hey, you're not alone with this predicament. Most of us here do. And some are more regretful because they just happened to know about btc probably today. So there's nothing to regret. We have all the time in the world to acquire some more btc though it's getting harder as days go by but just go on and get yourself some more btc and don't worry about not getting much. In the long run, we'll all gonna have our moments and a pile of btc in our wallet. Perseverance is the key.
334  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin allowed in North Korea ? on: August 26, 2017, 04:31:18 AM
Is it allowed to use and trade Bitcoin and other currencies in North Korea ? and is there any North korean members of this forum ?

Because I heard even the Internet connection is only available for a few number of people there

Good question. I'm hundred percent sure that there's no one there who knows bitcoin. So even if they don't ban btc there will be no one who'll use it. And yes, internet connection isn't available for everyone and is strictly regulated. They can't even watch hollywood movies what more of the internet access. I'm just thankful that we are not experiencing that and my heart goes to their citizens who are having a hard time and felt imprisoned.
335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: August 25, 2017, 03:02:49 PM
I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?

This thread caught my attention and I can't help to laugh. I'm sorry, no offense meant. It's just that one thing for me is sure. All of us here in this thread would be six feet under. While btc on the other hand, I think will be worth $1M each. Or maybe there would be nothing of this world, hence the doomsday. Who knows, but I'd sure love to know what will become of btc after 50 years (I'll be 77), assuming that I'm still alive by then.
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin acceptance on: August 25, 2017, 09:24:31 AM
You can pay with Bitcoin in several stores and even restaurants here in Germany. Are we the only one who have this?  Huh

Wow, that's nice to hear. Surely, there are also other developed countries who have wider acceptance of bitcoin. Sad to say that here in Philippines I haven't heard if there's any merchant who accepts btc as payment. Maybe there are already I just haven't heard of it. But I'm positive that there will be, if none already, in the near future since there are lots of international merchants here. I'm pretty sure they accept btc in their main store abroad.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DO YOU AGREE? on: August 25, 2017, 02:53:38 AM
Masterluc a Legendary Bitcoin Trader
now predicts that Bitcoin will reach $15,000 before the end of this year. What’s more, he believes that Bitcoin will reach a price of $40,000 - $110,000 by the end of this bull run. He gives a timeframe of 2019 for that price target.

While these numbers seem absolutely extraordinary, many traders have noted that the recent “bubble” doesn’t seem so bubbly after all. Bitcoin has not yet gone parabolic as it did at the end of previous bubble cycles.
No guarantees

Of course, as any investing prospectus will tell you, past performance is no guarantee of future gains. It remains to be seen if masterluc is correct in his predictions. If--and it’s a big if--he is correct, there are going to be a lot more Bitcoin millionaires by 2019.
Do You Agree?

Though it may seem ambitious to predict the $15,000 by the end of this year I would really agree to it. But really, it's hard to agree or disagree with any predictions right now because btc is full of surprises. But one thing's for sure, btc isn't bubbly enough for the past weeks and we will be seeing more of the bubble. All predictions of btc value as high as $100,000 are true. The only question that needs an answer is when will that be.
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Endless Possibilities on: August 24, 2017, 02:17:55 PM
I've seen lots of topics in the forum about bitcoins already thus made me think that in Bitcoins there are endless possiblities.

- Future of Bitcoin

We can't really predict what will happen, thus for questions like will bitcoin rise, is it safe to invest, shall I withdraw my BTC, nobody can really provide a specific answer only advise as per the growth flow of BTC in the market. Unless, someone knows how to time travel and he is just hiding it from us (hmmm endless possibilities), he'll surely know the future of bitcoin. BUT, someone can probably predict bitcoin thru it's flow, Bitcoin analyst maybe but im not sure.

- Who uses Bitcoin?

I have also asked this in one post of mine, no one knows who as well. Some personalities might be lurking on this forum reading our posts (including this hopefully), just not identifying themselves to avoid commotions. "Spoofy" (I've read about him the other day) might be here as well checking. Or who knows, we might be trading with Extraterrestrials already (hmmm..possible?)

- Bitcoin and Internet

Well, provided that BTC is an online cryptocurrency and the question about internet being gone totally...hmmmm...

- Bitcoin and Hidden Identitiy

In Bitcoin, nobody will know who you are if you choose not to be known. So everything is possible, illegal trades, criminality etc.

Those are just few topics.. there are more and more... Endless Questions... Endless Topics...Endless Possibilities..

This forum is fun and worth reading :-)

Well, your post is fun to read. And I strongly agree with you here that btc have endless possibilities and there will be more uses to be introduced aside from its existing uses. I find it interesting where your mind explores such as considering extraterrestrials. And we cannot eliminate that there are known personalities here in this forum. But mostly, that time travelers part that's what really caught my interest. How I wonder I have that ability and make sure to spread the word by giving "speculation" here for everyone to read.
339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people left their full-time employment to go into Bitcoin? on: August 24, 2017, 01:33:15 PM
I was talking to a friend the other day and he told me that two of his friends has left their full-time employment to concentrate on their Bitcoin ventures. < One in Crypto currency trading and the other into imports & exports, linked to ecommerce >

In light of the fact that Bitcoin is still experimental and very volatile, would you say that this was a good or a bad decision and would you do the same?

How many people have done this already?

If your friends left their full time employment because of btc then they might be earning a lot. I think it's good if what they are making is at least triple of their salary. But the thing is btc earning isn't permanent. It gives great profit, sure but what happened if one day they were hacked and all of their btc gone? They should at least consider their welfare on a long term and not be impulsive and leave their full time employment. Well, unless they were one of those early bitcoiners who acquired thousands of btc at a low price then I might do the same thing.
340  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you trust a new cryptocurrency? on: August 24, 2017, 06:29:29 AM
I wonder What makes you trust a new cryptocurrency?

Hard to say, I don't easily trust new cryptocurrency. One thing that might persuade me is trust rating and popularity. Though I won't rely on popularity alone. There was this plexcoin I saw in facebook it has gathered popularity with thousands of followers in their fb acct and my friend encouraged me to signup but I didn't then later on I found out that it was really a scam. So I'd really stick with trust ratings and proof that it is a good and valuable coin.
