321  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Batch #3 & More on: July 12, 2013, 08:38:27 PM
the fact that he is making batch 3 units compatible with future 55nm modules is pretty cool.

source??

From their email :-

Next generation chip is in the works, 55nm will not be very different physically for backward compatibility.

But thats not talking about B3, I think its basically saying that the 55nm chips will not be too different from the current ones, so existing designs would probably work with new chip.
322  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New single ASIC miner board on: July 12, 2013, 08:35:02 PM

That was fast... hashing already? I guess with such a large surface area.. you can passive cool it even with overclock.
323  Economy / Gambling / Re: Win my Avalon.! Raffle Gane! Purchase a avalon for only 1 Coin on: July 12, 2013, 12:02:53 PM
The winner ticket is calculated with your Transaction ID and the block Hash of a not yet generated block.

To keep things more transparent, can you update the terms to:-
The winner ticket is calculated with your Transaction ID and the block Hash of the first block generated once the raffle address reaches 250 BTC.

Otherwise whats to stop you from choosing a block hash which suits you?

ignore me. just re-read the terms

Block 247100 will the first Block to pick the winner. But only if I've sold all 250 Tickets.  If we dont have all tickets then we will wait for block 248000  or 249000
324  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Rasberry PI Minepeon(How many days mining uninterrupted) on: July 12, 2013, 11:56:03 AM
FYI:-

The 11th ztex was mining on my desktop when i took the pic.
The pi is mounted on a single stand-off -- not ideal....
325  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Rasberry PI Minepeon(How many days mining uninterrupted) on: July 12, 2013, 11:11:49 AM
I mine using RasPi with 11 ztex quad boards (not using Minepeon, just a stripped down version of Raspbian), runs fine for weeks. And even then my uptime is only affected when i power it down to re-arrange cables.

Code:
pi@raspberrypi ~ $ uptime
 17:02:56 up 12 days,  2:31,  1 user,  load average: 0.47, 0.63, 0.58
pi@raspberrypi ~ $

Sounds like an excellent rig turtle83. What hub do you use ? .

Belkin F4U022v.

Had to add the following to /boot/cmdline.txt to get it to detect the ztexes.
Code:
dwc_otg.speed=1

One of the hubs powers the pi.

328  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] I have 90 BTC, sell me your mining hardware ! on: July 11, 2013, 04:55:33 PM
Let me get this started...

10 Ztex 1.15y clones mining at a total of >8 GH/s

u must be kidding

PS : I can close this auction and refuse offers by my own will

This auction is a joke. You need to state all terms in the first post, not change them after you realize you don't like the results.

i cant edit the 1st post

There is a reason u cant edit the first post. You should have mentioned a reserve/minimum hashrate or something.

Anyways dont worry about me im sure ill be outbidded ...

331  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The price of New Blade and Mini Blade was announced by rockxie on: July 11, 2013, 01:56:06 PM
Friedcat said today:  The last IPO skype camera meeting for August is coming.
Maybe new products will be announced in the skype camera meeting.

Last August's meeting is coming? How is it coming when it happened last year?

Wow!
As we know, last means ' occurring at or forming an end'. Final is its synonym.
So you are kidding.
haha.

I could trade my gigabyte 7950 (the one with 3 fans) for eruptors also... but how do you escrow such deals?
334  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Test nonce @ 450 Mhz on: July 10, 2013, 09:09:29 PM

I see a heatsink on the board slathered in thermal paste. Grin

Of course with heat sink

And... getting valid results @450 ?

(sorry too n00b to make sense of scope data)
335  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: July 10, 2013, 06:04:13 PM

1. Did you try powering the rpi thru this hub itself?
2. Which devices did you mine thru it? Can it handle powering 15 eruptors plus rpi?

Thanks in advance.
336  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Block Erupter USB Sales [Temporarily Out of Stock] on: July 09, 2013, 07:52:29 PM
Anyone else have heat issues with these?  Mine are running at 70 C (temperature taken with an independent thermal diode), is that normal??

I think its normal. Mine run at finger burnin hot... I cant unplug them using bare fingers...

While trying to sort out the RPi USB1.1 problems I decided to (finally) try everything on my Xubu 11.04 rig Smiley
(Seems everything works fine on Fedora18 and Xubu 11.04 ...)

Edit: 3.26% CPU (1200MHz down clocked i3 540)

I had issues getting rpi detect ztex thru my particular hubs (Belkin F4u022v). Worked after i added the following to /boot/cmdline.txt
Code:
dwc_otg.speed=1

I don't remember the exact errors i was seeing, but i recall it seeing some error code in dmesg when plugging in the ztex.
338  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: July 09, 2013, 09:27:10 AM
If I see this I could start a scam, just develop a site,  and I call it Bitpower Extreme, i publish some printboard designs and  I start to sell preorders of 30Gh machines for €995, you can only pay in BTC  PS. I leave no address or info of myself. I'll close my website end of the month, thats the plan. You must be crazy to place pre-orders with me, no?

That and get bitfury to endorse your site like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=250249.msg2657752#msg2657752

200+ views, zero feedback Huh

Is this too challenging, or am I missing something?

You scoped it well. There is nothing to feedback.
