3201  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: December 26, 2015, 02:57:13 AM
Oh cmmon people, it s Xmas, dont delay payment today.

I tend to agree chances of him being with family and not having time to fix it is high right now.  I would cut him a break with the season.

There sometimes is a hiccup or something goes wrong, but in the end the payment has always been paid.  So I would not be to worried. I think the hot wallet ran out and has been refilled so should stop future problems.  But if you have a payment issue just send a PM to macro, and I have a feeling after Christmas it will be fixed up.

Why macro? I think his nickname was /is marcotheminer.

However merry xmas guys, this campaign is active for more than 1 year !

Obviously it was short for marcotheminer.... he is the campaign manager.  Not sure you picked that out of a post trying to help.

I only see you always the time write "macro" and for me it was strange, keep posting and merry xmas !

I know he's the manager of the sig. campaign (dont' worry).

I was only trying to help.  We get 0 post credit for ones in here, so no secondary reason I get paid 0 for it.  I was just saying in the around 8 month's I've been in it he always has come though.

Macro = marcotheminer should be obvious for anyone in this thread.  If I post in another thread yes I see your point some might think someone else, but here hes the campaign manager and it's just time saving saying Macro.

But merry xmas to you aswell.  My message was just for people not to worry as once he is able I'm sure he will fix it for those who it did not pay.   That is based on history of fixing mistakes so far every time there is one.
3202  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: someone want to hack my wallet ??? > blockchain on: December 25, 2015, 08:44:42 PM
It's important to recognize that hot wallets are good for small amount's.   It's different for everyone but it' spending cash is what they are good for.  You don't want long term holdings.
If doing long term look into cold storage or hardware wallets.  Either one is better then a hot wallet someone is trying to break into.

if is device is infected, it will not change much, actually it make his coins even more vulnerable, because there will be no more 2fa with google

scan your PC for malware and any kinds of keylogger. If there isn't, you should try to reinstall your OS to make sure than switch to use electrum or bitcoincore,...

i have kaspersky paid version but didnt find any malware or viruses maybe this antivirus cant find them if really in my computer !!
i'm using windows 8 it new for me when i chek " Gestionaire des taches " i'm seeing many programs runing like UIExec32, Dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe, CancelAutoPlay_byt ( 32 bits ), srvany ( KM services ) .....

are this programs legit and safe ?

The good thing is you have phone or 2fa on.  Honestly that might have saved you.  Are those different than your IP?   (I'm guessing so).

If they are different they might now have access to your PC, but somehow got login.  Do you log in at any public WIFI, or somewhere not at home? Or do you surf/download any "bad" sites?

If you use the password for anything else I would change it on a computer you know is secure, so they cant get anything.  And I would change password to hot wallet aswell.  But again the part about being a safe and not compromised computer is key or your doing it all and it could be for nothing.
3203  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many bitcoins do you have to sell to make a living? on: December 25, 2015, 08:40:17 PM
At the current price, 1 BTC is enough to sustain my family! The problem is that we are still receiving fiat wages not BTC! Besides that, bitcoin's price is too volatile. We don' use Bitcoin to measure our living standard.

1 BTC for a month? Or how long of duration?

If it is a month what country are you in? I would love for 1 to hold me for a month.
3204  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are paper wallets really secure? on: December 25, 2015, 08:38:51 PM
This has already been mentioned before. Of course, this is a big thread and drawback for paper wallets, but i also would store the keys with keepass in oder to have a copy.
they have a risk of being lost, burned or become unusable due to water etc... but other than that they are less likely to be hacked or stolen than having BTC on an online computer IMO.

I think bank safety deposit box is pretty good.  You can store paper wallets, or seeds for hardware wallets.  You get bank security and protection from the elements (or should have).

If you can't do that a fire safe at home is much better then hiding in spot fire can get to.  And not all safes are equal look at fire rating depending on how much your storing.
3205  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: other than bitcointalk.org on: December 25, 2015, 08:35:01 PM
metabtc.com pay every post with 0.0001BTC. This is suitable for you because it is still a newbie. but if your account has become jr.member,  better play here and join the signature campaign Smiley

Or he can wait till full member.  That is when signature campaigns have a big jump in pay.  So I suggest time as new user learn about forum and content.  Also on making good posts.  If you do one liners, or crap posts with a signature you will be temp banned.  It add's a target if you are a user who has not learned good posting.

So I highly suggest wait till full member then do a sig campaign.  You won't lose that much by waiting.
3206  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Lending - Becoming a lender. on: December 25, 2015, 08:32:04 PM
So are you saying that some if the accounts on here may have been purchased by scammers?

certainly possible, but scammer lately purchase only account with trust, or at leats they try to do so, or if this is not the case anymore

they simply create new account acquire some trust and then begin to scam,, which is a thing that is impossible to stop

Maybe one day, bitcointalk will require its users to verify with ID information, so there will be fewer scammers.

this is against any tos forum, related to privacy, it will never happen, at best they can be forced to verify their first address, which should be mandatory with your first account created here

There is always going to be "bad" guys that want to scam.  People need to be smart before doing a deal especially loaning.  I personally avoid loaning, as there is to many defaults and so little on what you can do.

But scamming will never stop as long as people fall for it.   I would not do a loan for a account... some out there do.  Look at BTCJam it is I'm guessing number 1 site on loaning... but they have a lot of defaults.   I would suggest staying away.  Rates sound amazing... but if they don't pay does not matter how high rate is.
3207  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: New to Mining - Setting up Mining Rig on: December 25, 2015, 08:21:45 PM
If Texas university pays you projects. I recommend Antminer s7 (5-10 pieces + powers) Then make Antminer rig? Easy to config!

He say's Texas teacher I don't see anywhere pointing to university.  And even if they did I don't think most history departments will be allowed to run miners, let alone 5-10 S7's.

If you do have support be aware S7's are not quiet.  If you go that route you will need a place not in your class room or office.
3208  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntMiner APW3-12-1600 PSU Series on: December 25, 2015, 08:13:43 PM
I have a question, I bought 3 x psu from bitmain, but must arrive. my question is:

They are noisy?
They are supplied with power cable? Huh

They are not quiet with the little high RPM fan.  I don't consider them quiet.

No cable comes with them, you need to order what ever cable you need.  There are a few different ones really not all PDU's use the same cable (assuming your using a PDU).
3209  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience Compac BM1384 Stickminer Official Support Thread on: December 25, 2015, 08:12:16 PM
how are you running them at different speeds ? different cgminers or different rigs ?

You can do multiple cgminers pretty easy.  Then you can specify the usb spot for each miner.  Having 2 would not be to bad to do.

I actually ran 2 on for a while as I had these that have the nice gekko-cgminer, but I had some prototypes and europe one I ran as Icarus.
3210  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: December 25, 2015, 07:40:17 PM
I buy ALL my stuff from Yoshi in Bitmain Denver.
NEVER have a problem with customs. He imports, you get your miner shipped from Denver. For about 1 1/2 years now. Excellent customer service.
Does he charge standard list price for the miners, or sell at a slight premium?
Standard list, wire or BTC.
You pay premium if you want USA warranty and/or pay with PAYAL USD. I use AMEX through PAYPAL usually.
$100 per miner with USA warranty. Worth every penny.
Just sidestepping the customs headaches is a blessing.
Just had a batch one replaced, only down 6 days, one or two days was me trying to fix.

Where could I contact him?. To buy a miner.
Removed info

If you are able to order from there please let us know.  I know Wolfen has said he get's from there.  I could have missed it but I sure have not seen a big jump of people saying they are able to order direct from US.

For the rest it's been website or possibly email if really big sale.  But I can't imagine if you buy a few US doing the selling but I could be wrong.

I tried to order from Bitmain Denver on several occasions with no luck. Not sure if it was Yoshi that I was dealing with but it was the same guy that answered the phone everytime; typically they never answer the phone or return calls if you leave a message. I had 2 open tickets, sent all my information so that I could buy using Paypal but he kept telling me that it would be a few more days for some reason. Batch after Batch was selling out in the meantime, I got tired of being strung along so I drove an hour and half from the small town I live in to the nearest city with a bitcoin atm, purchased btc, and then ordered directly from  Bitmain China with ZERO issues. I have done that 3 times now. Btw, if anyone can suggest an easier way buy btc please pm me.

Wolfen is only one I have heard of getting order from them.  If anyone else get's it please do post.  But I think what you mention is more typical I can't imaging them selling unless a very big deal.... then maybe you could talk them into it.  But I don't see selling small amount's.

They have a phone and it's ok for quick questions.  I think preferred method for US support is ticket system.  And if you want support from China email seems to be best. I think they were going to go all to ticket system, but with amount of emails still I don't think they ever did the jump to complete just ticket system.
3211  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Want to start mining on: December 25, 2015, 07:36:00 PM
I will be renting a garage with 2 areas, an area to chill and the other for mining.

Don't forget the miners make noice. Quite a lot if you have a lot of them. If you want to chill in the same garage, this could be a problem.
But your energy price is very nice.

Therefore I would advice you to buy with 4 S7 and see if you can handle the noice.

The noise even on the PSU's if your using the bitmain PSU's can be decent, and S7 is loud as-well. If there is not decent insulation or something between the area inside might be able to hear it still.

So some garages could work great.  Others are not so great and the noise could drive you crazy.
3212  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Next gen Antminer opinions/guesses on: December 25, 2015, 07:33:34 PM
sound logically that next gen to be after halving. maybe even in 2017 if condition arise!

There's going to be 0.06 stuff before then, from gridseed i think and they're not the only ones working on "next-gen stuff". With Bitmain's motto being cheap and loud, i'm not sure they are going to beat that, but we'll see.

Bitmain is quiet on it's R/D.  I would not count them out they have huge resources, they are not going anywhere.  What stuff are you referring to on gridseed?  I was thinking they are now SFARDS and have been mining internally.

On the .06 if Bitfury does have it that does put them at a big advantage.  First one always has big advantage.

It is and they don't really need to "release it". It kinda only make sense to sell hardware that will be obsolete in the near future. The home miner is a small cut of the pie anyways, so i'm not sure what's Bitmain's real gameplan anyways.

What gridseed stuff are you talking about though? I thought they were now SFARDS, and they had a dual miner.   But they did not produce a ton.  We know of a big batch for internal.  And possibly a second batch for internal or big buyer, we never knew really what happened on second big batch just that it did not go public.
3213  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What happens to bitcoin mining?? on: December 25, 2015, 07:30:59 PM
I am new to this bitcoin community!!Please correct me if I am wrong!!

But,

I have heard that there is limit that 21 million bitcoins will be generated!

What happens when no more bitcoins will be generated??

No more bitcoins will be generated and mining with continue like always to collect mining fees. Though that won't happen in our lifetime, so not much point worrying about it.

Where will mining fees come from??

the fee are those 10k satoshi that you already pay, but right now they have no value because the bitcoin value is very low

it was intended in this way to permit adoption and have a chance to have a greater value for bitcoin, at that point fee will suffice for miner as a new earning

Were quite a while away from it.   But that is the hope that it will happen this way.  It seems far away as the block reward is where most miners make money from.  Hopefully though it will allow us to keep mining.

I think it's hard to say anything this far away even with good speculation.  We just don't know value of BTC then.
3214  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will home mining become a myth in 2016 ? on: December 25, 2015, 07:28:12 PM
They might just end up mining altcoins for BTC. I do think this is profitable i saw some threads about this lately.

The way bitcoin difficulty is jumping up, do you think any new entrant will be able to mine profitably from home ?

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

I think, mining will belong to server firms. People interested in mining would be forced to opt in cloud mining.

NOT CLOUD MINING! they are all scam not worth the try as you can't get your roi for a year. its a waste. forgive me for that i can see you have your couldmining in your signature but really, I've read enough already and I should say ALL are scam.

Look at hashnest for eample.  They are not all scams, but most are sadly.  But your right if you have a signature for one ... give it even more research.

But you really cannot lump them all into one.   Difficulty is still high but not as scary high as last week.
3215  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: s7 durability on: December 25, 2015, 07:26:18 PM
hi guys ,

i would like to know    how long the s7s  last in perfect enviroment

 thank you

Based on s-5 and s-3. More then a year.

S3's were tanks they have lasted quite a while for a lot of miners.  I would agree environment can change it a lot.   If treated right proper power it will last longer then it's profitable for many.  I also had good luck with S4's but some did not on those it was hit/miss.

But it is quite a long time if all goes well.  Bad thing is 90 day warranty... so if something does go wrong after that, it's out of pocket.

3217  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't feel bad newbies - Early adopter without many Bitcoins on: December 25, 2015, 07:29:39 AM
Everyone who currently has bitcoin is an early adopter, because in 5-10 years bitcoin will skyrocket!

I don't know that now will be looked at as early adoption.  I think it's jumping in much later then early adopters.  Early adopters had no idea how much, if anything BTC would be worth.

I mean look at the first purchase of a pizza.... that is early adopter.  Now we know BTC has a value (a lot higher then back then), so we are still adopters but not early I don't think.

You never know $1 million in 10 years would make $400 look like free

Do you honestly believe 1 million in 10 years from 450?  I think that is pretty unrealistic myself... I expect it to go up but my speculation is much less than 1 million in 10 years... that just is not a value I think people will pay for 1 BTC in that time frame but I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah either hundreds of thousands or 0

What are you basing your speculation on?  I just have a hard time wrapping my head around BTC being hundred of thousands or million in 10 years which is not that long.

I guess I think realistically that is a pretty big jump, and one we likely would need a lot more time I think to every hit.
3218  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: someone want to hack my wallet ??? > blockchain on: December 25, 2015, 07:26:51 AM

Coinbase is fine, I used it for months without any problems.
You can use any wallet you want it will be safer that that blockchain web wallet that is under attack by that hacker

thank you friends i appreciate it now i'm going to move my BTC to coinbase and e-coin
cuz already have e-coin i'm stored some BTC thier

if you are going to move your bitcoins i suggest not to move them to online websites, it is better to you desktop wallets for you to have full control over your private keys and funds

Can anyone tell the exact model(s) of USB-I2C adapter which can be used to connect Avalon6s to RasPi? Is there any specific requirements for this adaptor? Where can I buy it?

Someone share if they have a 3rd party source.  But I think best chance is official channels, EHash has it - https://ehash.com/product/avalon-usb-converter/ .  But it shows sold out.

If your needing one I suggest emailing BlockC or Ehash depending on location.  But I would think they would sell you one.
