3201  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is a game of capital on: March 17, 2021, 08:27:22 AM
Having good capital and knowing how much to trade in each window is as important as having a good strategy and tools for trading. There are mainly three things that makes or breaks a trader - Capital, Strategy and Improvement.

There are some traders who might be lucky and start with a small capital and yet manage to become successful but it is not easy because even the best traders can make a few bad trades on their best day. You need to have capital big enough that allows you to make a few bad trades yet doesn't affect you by much while not too big that you sell everything and risk in trading.

If you are into buying altcoins and trading them, you need to be even more careful and assign an even smaller amount for each investment and trading window.
3202  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin price is so volatile? What are the major factors that drive it? on: March 17, 2021, 05:39:25 AM
Maybe because cryptos like bitcoin are purely driven by the demand and supply it doesn't become more volatile than other asset like stocks etc. Stocks performance usually heavily affected by the company behind it meanwhile paper money affected by the government that issued the money.
But overtime if there's many crypto company out there and they are growing day by day until they reach the point where most of them could compete with the large corporations that already exist, i could imagine bitcoin and any other crypto becomes less volatile.
Demand and supply like you said is the only reason behind the price fluctuations because sometimes there are more than required bitcoins in the market which shrinks the price of BTC and sometimes there aren't enough BTC in the market while demand is rising that allows the pumping of BTC. and that is how I also imagine it should be but the price falling at times again makes me wonder how the supply is increasing because demand hasn't reduced for quite sometime and maybe some sharks often dump at particular prices which then gives rise to the small dips.

Like recently when Elon Musk announced Tesla's $1.5 billion worth of BTC investment, the market went up because the demand increased rapidly while the supply wasn't increasing with it.
3203  Economy / Economics / Re: What We Should Learn From Elon Musk Influence on: March 17, 2021, 04:22:02 AM
We should learn that we must know where to put ourselves in regarding on tweets of a wealthy man who puts cryptocurrency on trends.
Also what makes it more attention worthy is which crypto he is promoting, if he was promoting BTC, which he does though, I have no problems at all. But, promoting a dead coin like dogecoin is something I never thought he would have done, not entirely sure for what reason he did that.

On the other hand, it's like elon musk promotes or advertises cryptocurrency which is a good thing on crypto but the down part is that it cost pump and dump on a certain altcoin or even bitcoin. That's why we should always consider risk management regarding on trading. The power of influence affects the market just like how a popular celebrity promotes a certain product.
This is where we need to use our intelligence and appreciate what he does right and ignore/oppose what he does wrong or shady. Promoting dogecoin is shady and there is no doubt about it, just ignore buying because he is promoting it. Promoting Bitcoin and announcing Tesla accepting Bitcoin payments was a great and appreciable move and worth buying some because these kind of news certainly help the price and the overall value of Bitcoins.
3204  Economy / Economics / Re: holding bitcoin from early 2010 till today on: March 17, 2021, 03:01:29 AM
I wish I were among those investors. But don't know anyone holding Bitcoin from than 2015.
I kind of lived the same thing, back on very early days of bitcoin I apparently had an account at blockchain.com (formerly blockchain.info) and I have gathered as much as 6 bitcoins there, today that would have been life changing amount of money, maybe not retirement money yet, but half of it, but you know what I did? Years later in 2013 I came back and I saw that my coins worth nearly 700 dollars and I have cashed most of it out and gambled with two of them, lost that all as well.

Basically I did make free 500 bucks from bitcoin that way, and I assumed that I was one of the luckiest people in the world, how would I know that just 8 years later that would have been 350k+ dollars? That seems unreal, something that I assumed would be small and tiny became huge and moved from under 1k total to over 350k total, that seems as unlikely as it gets for me.
3205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunter to presale investor! on: March 16, 2021, 01:52:16 PM
Everything is flying these days, I doubt these days will last, make sure to withdraw profits, you never know when market will fall face first. Just a word of advise from 2k17 experience  Wink
Actually one of my friends got a lot of Uniswap tokens which are worth a lot of money now so it is true that everyone is gaining in some way or other during this bull run. One who holds Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other famous coins is already earning without doing much as the price rockets. Someone who might be laughing at his wallet why he holds those doge coins might be crying tears of joy and anyone who used these decentralized exchanges like uniswap is getting free tokens that are of massive value.

That is why often people say when a bull run happens, everyone is happy because no matter which coin you hold and what you trade, unless you make a blunder, you are likely to get a really good profit.

I had a lot of doge coins which I sold like a year or 8 months ago and I cannot explain in words how that feels right now. But I still think I was right to sell them and buy more BTC because no one could have predicted the Musk playing with doge coins price while the growth of BTC was inevitable.
3206  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: March 16, 2021, 01:26:35 PM
Everyone does everything to promote their own site. The fake bets are also part of this. Maybe not fair, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing either. it is simply a method of acquiring customers.
Many sites that are advertising on the forum work like this.
In fact, we can also try playing with fun mode this is also a fake bet, right  Cheesy If one day the roobet team offers me something similar I am not sure if I will reject it
The important thing is there must be ethics when becoming a casino sponsor player for example reminds all risks or must be 18+ as did Youtuber Xposed
I do agree with that, as long as people are aware that they are doing something that will make them lose all their money, they should be fine. After all fake or real that doesn't matter what others are gambling with as long as viewer can feel, if you worry about that you didn't get the concept of watching someone else gambles, if it is fake and he loses viewer doesn't lose anything, if it is real and streamer loses the viewer still doesn't lose anything, if it is fake and streamer wins that means viewer wins nothing and if it is real and streamer wins the viewer still doesn't win anything.

As you can see from here the viewer never loses or wins anything, so for the viewer there is nothing that would change this and doesn't matter if it is fake money or real money, just watch and see how they gamble and have fun with it, that is the important part.
3207  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: March 16, 2021, 12:16:43 PM
What about opportunity costs? I don't get why people are still invested.
I'm not sure the opportunity costs are that high? I divested a fair chunk when the new commissions came in, but all that is just now sitting in my trezor making 0 returns. I literally don't even know what else to do with the bitcoin -- and if I did -- I can immediately divest from busta* for it.

For me at least, it just boils down to trying to guess the ROI (which is very hard if you try consider counterparty risk) and then apportioning my investment based on that (e.g. kelly my total investable networth).

So the way I figure it, it's still marginally profitable to stay in the bankroll, but if you have any suggestions of better uses of my bitcoin (while still being exposed to btc price), I'm all ears Cheesy
I can't speak on your behalf because you may like it or may not like it. However for general population I can tell you that these days there are staking that people can profit from. This could be staking as simple as proof of stake coins that you buy, which is not bitcoin but still higher level coins, and it could also be defi staking and LP as well. Those provide a great deal of return, in fact I am making over 120 dollars per day on my 10k investment in some coin right now, and the coin itself increased over 4x during that period as well.

This doesn't mean that it will go like this forever, it could change very quickly, but at least I am making a profit. So in altcoins, there are less risky or high risk stuff that you could make a good return from and some people divest for that. But even with that idea, I still do not divest from here, my money here will always stay, even if it doesn't bring me any profit, I just like it here way too much.
3208  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chips.gg |🎰 New UI | New Currency BNB on: March 16, 2021, 09:06:22 AM
but the reality is that they are rebranding and basically going to a whole new update or upgrade whatever you want to call it.

Its not really a rebranding because If you notice the chips logo ( check my signature's symbol ), you would notice that it resembles a character's mustache. Mr. Chips has always been part of chips.gg
We are used to using "rebranding" as going with a different name and a different logo and so forth, but it could be as simple as redesigning things as well, same website, same logo concept, same mustache, just more in line with doing it all again with a better graphic designer for example. I think that is what we are facing, chips is a brand new place so I doubt that they would rebrand to a completely different thing, it would not make any sense, but if we end up with same things but just better, that would make sense.

If you ask me, I would say they didn't even needed this just yet, let the things go a bit longer this way and do it on second year, that is usually where drops happen, the second year is the hardest for a casino because first year you handle paying everything with your "let's see what this is" type of gamblers, but second year is the year casinos make or break.
3209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run is over? on: March 16, 2021, 08:19:54 AM
Indeed there is big room of growth we are just in the middle of bull phase according to the onchain analysis. But for some people that's too much who are using high leverage to maximize their profit. That is part of cycle I believe in near future we will see the real fun when price of BTC will enter into 6 figures.
That's right, we are still doing great and we will keep going great for a while longer, it has always been like that for the longest time. I personally believe that bull runs do not end during this period, spring specially is a great time for increases, April will definitely see 70k+ price, probably 80k+ as well, that is what I think will happen very soon. It is not guaranteed of course, maybe for the first time ever we are going to see drops that are over 20k, the previous ATH was 20k and now drop would be higher than the whole ATH of that period, that is why I think we should realize what we are doing and how high we are.

But, I still think that we are doing fine and we should not be worried about it, after all such a big potential can't be left undone during this period, we do not have any strong resistance, as long as we can find some money (like tesla or microstrategy etc) we could actually end up going all the way to above 100k.
3210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 15, 2021, 07:03:35 PM
The goal from Lamela is definitely a nominee for Puskas this year, that was one of the best goals I have ever seen, I mean in football we have seen many great goals but this was definitely in there and I do not remember any this year specifically if you ask me. I can remember Ibrahimovic scoring bycyle kick against England I think from far far out, that was really something special and better than this, we can argue about which ones were better and which ones are not, but this was definitely one of the best ones out there.

Arsenal was not favorites this game and Spurs are not doing that well, they are definitely out of europe contention if you ask me, specially with this game. That should mean that Mourinho will be fired, if they do not fire Mourinho and keep working with him, I do not know what they could expect from him to do with the same team.
3211  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: March 15, 2021, 06:06:06 PM
An exciting and interesting day came to an end. These three matches were very competitive. I lost a bet in these 3 matches. I bet for AC Milan's win. Both teams have played but Napoli has won. In the Tottenham and Arsenal match, I saw Arsenal's recent form of Arsenal and I bet on them. They have recently won against strong teams like Olympikaso and Leicester. They did not disappoint me. I think Arsenal will rise even higher at the points table this season.
Interestingly that game was also the game that made Juventus second in the league. Not "technically" because they lack one game and one point behind but I think Juventus will win that game and be 2 points ahead of Milan with this. It is weird to see that, Milan was so good at the start of the season, for the first 10 games they were even dominating the league beating everyone with many goals as well, eventually and gradually they started to lose few points here and few points there and first problem was Inter passed them and became the first team, and gradually we are seeing them drop to third as well.

If Milan kept playing that well they could have been champions but now they are forced out of that race and now they may end up third in the league after they were the leaders for so many weeks in a row, months even. That is the beauty of football, you can never let go of the gas.

I haven't missed a day claiming free boxes. If that box was really up for more than 24 hours, I must have suffered temporary blindness for not noticing it  Grin Anyway, yeah I guess you're right that we have to be quick nowadays. More competition is probably the drawback of inviting other people to buy those boxes.
It is just unlucky, but it happens, there is nothing to worry about because there will be more. These type of deals are not dime a dozen, it is really good and betfury is really great for providing these type of stuff, they are not just a crypto website, they are a great investment website as well as being a great faucet as well.

I think the best way to actually reach as many people as possible is to get people to end up in your website no matter what reason, you may want boxes, some other wants gambling, some other want affiliate, everyone has their thing here. At the end of the day it is a bigger version of casinos that add games into their casinos to get more people, like how a place that has only dice adds plinko as well, that is a small increase in numbers but it helps, same idea but A LOT bigger of course because we are talking about something huge with these.
3213  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 suspended on 1st Mar 2021 please withdraw before 15th Mar on: March 14, 2021, 05:40:31 PM
I may not agree to what you have said mate, Ethan and Scott have more ways if maintaining the site by hiring good and intelligent workers across every problems, a competent and due diligent developer will be handling yolodice while ethan and Scott go to bed to sleep while the site is running smoothly, to me the reason they stop operating is because, so many competitive cryptocurrency gambling platforms are emerging rapidly in the space with new gambling features far more better than yolo interface, there affecting customers from patronising them, on that note, yolo have to shutdown and maybe will sit back and rethink new features and strategies to come out with.
That is not what this is about, making money or not I can't say how much Ethan and Scott has, maybe they have a lot maybe they don't, but finding even 100+ staff is not the deal here. I think they have mentioned previously that we are talking about a huge number of new people coming in but also the bitcoin price is going up as well, which means they are making more money than they used to but still stopped.

The reason is the fact that the money they have right now became too valuable, and they just didn't want to get that type of problem in their hands, after all we are talking about god knows how many millions of dollars that they are holding on behalf of gamblers, it is not theirs neither, it is customer's money and they are taking the full responsibility for it. I think they just decided not to handle any more of that, who needs that extra pressure in life.
3214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: March 14, 2021, 05:20:19 PM
Barcelona is definitely the bigger threat for sure, we are talking about just 4 point difference if they win this game. I know there is a very little amount of game left but ATM can't really handle this kind of losses (or ties) because we are getting closer and closer and even one game matters more than few games back in early days. They are losing points to teams that they should not, Getafe is not a team that you lose points to, not even when you lose someone to red card but instead, Getafe lost someone, hence it should have been really easy for ATM to win this game and losing it really hurts their chances a lot.

I feel like ATM needs to get back the momentum or they are about to lose the championship to Barcelona very soon. This is very important for them because rarely anyone aside from Barca or Real wins the league, while they have this possibility they should take it.
3215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 14, 2021, 04:32:34 PM
All the top three have games today, that is going to be quite rush filled day. We will first see the leaders to play against Torino, which I assume they will win easily, and then Juventus plays Cagliari and then Milan plays Napoli. Along these games only one that looks remotely close is Milan versus Napoli, that looks like a possible game to actually have an unexpected result, and could end up with Juventus going above Milan with the extra game win as well, that’s why I think it is going to be a tough day for Milan.

Juventus on the other hand has to win this game if they think they have any chance at the championship, if they lose this one, they are going to basically declare that they are not going to win the league this year for sure, Inter winning would be bad for them as well but if they lose, that is going to be even worse. Best case for Juventus would be Inter losing this one and Milan losing too and Juve getting a win but I do not see that chance at all.

Sportsbet.io
Do not concern about these things steve, after all gamblers here knows what sportsbet is all about and we do not worry about these things, and maaaybe they might hurt potential customers at worst but even with that not like the only place you find gamblers is bitcointalk, in fact I am quite positive that bitcointalk could be one of the smallest places you get customers from, you have ads on Arsenal games, have sponsorship with southampton and watford, that should be more than enough for you to get more customers from those places let alone all the ads you are probably doing on everywhere.

That is why I think it is quite important to keep up with these things but not as important to be mad about those type of people that share it to make you guys look like you are some shady website, nobody from here would buy into that and we know how legit you guys all are.
3217  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19, Lockdown and repercussions on: March 14, 2021, 05:23:47 AM
Ours moved to semi-open type of system, I mean it is not open 24/7 places are still closed at certain times and not by choice, it is the regulations and there is still lockdowns on nights and a bit of evenings as well, rest is open during work hours, so people do go to work and technically speaking they could go to places as well if they are not working, or if they can get permission from work, that is why I can say that we are semi-open even if not full back to what it was.

Eventually we will get there, eventually these vaccinations will be done constantly and we are going to see that people will not need masks, people will not fear being close, those days will come, both biologically we will be stronger against this, and also science will catch up and make it a smaller thing as well, I am sure that those days will come eventually, but until those days we need to be a bit more careful about going out, that is not economical or political, it is medical situation.

For the time being, RP are exchangeable for goods and bonuses with a fixed value (or nearly fixed), that means if RPs are replaced by FUN tokens with the same kind of fixed scale, FUN tokens will get an implied value. 1/10000th of an iPhone XS for example.
Unfortunately I do not have enough money to make this work for me, I would love to have 5000 tokens worth of money but that would be way too much for me, but if anyone has that kind of money I would advise them to buy it because the longer you hold the more money you will be making from other stuff, the benefits of fun token is great.

The deal about the fixed rate is that reward points are not always the same, sure there is some changes here and there but "fixed" is not right, look at 25 dollars worth of rp and look at iphone, they are not the same. So, long story short same could happen with fun token, or make it dynamic and change based on price of fun tokens as well?

There is already benefits of holding fun tokens, why would it be any different? If we earned fun token from gambling bitcoin, that would definitely be something people would like. At least it has a price.
3219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best investment advice for everyone this 2021 on: March 14, 2021, 03:25:40 AM
Fixed investment is only in bitcoin because until now bitcoin has a limited supply and can provide a lot of profit because the price movement is very fast and will always go up to be expensive, than you take risks in other coins which may not necessarily provide many benefits like bitcoin and will only make you regret it later.
I think it is going to be not that simple. Bitcoin is still the best advice anyone can give in bitcoin world, but that doesn't mean that it is the only advice, there are still other coins out there that could make money as well. Think about it this way, when bitcoin is making a profit, it can go up to a level, it always has a price to go up to and it could go up more and more, but it gets slower, going from 10k to 20k is 2x and that is great, going from 30k to 60k was harder but still it is great, but going from 60k to 120k will not be that easy, and what about 120k to 240k?

Those prices will happen, bitcoin will one day be 240k, but its not that easy. Whereas some other smaller coin going 10x is easier, look at BNB for example, it was 25-30 dollars just 3-4 months ago and now it is nearly 300 dollars, it did a 10x in that short period of time. Hence I do not think that altcoins are a bad investment if you pick the right one.
3220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If bitcoin surpasses the $60K level then it will hit higher than $100K on: March 14, 2021, 02:39:03 AM
if before the end of this year there is a correction, then we can forget that this year's pump will reach the target discussed.
if the market is consistent like this, it might move on to the momentum of the altcoins. A stable bitcoin will bring some altcoins the moment to pump up.
I hope the bulls of this year will survive and become the longest bull season in the history of the crypto market.
The whole idea is that, if we can reach 60k, that means dump is not coming anytime soon, thats at least what we believe, there are some other people like me who believe on this possibility as well. At the end of the day, we are not looking into anything that would hurt bitcoin because we think that these billions of dollars going into bitcoin means that we are not dropping under a level. We just had a 30% drop and even with that nothing happened to us, why? Because we have the help of huge companies constantly buying bitcoin, most people do not even realize how much of it is actually stored aside.

Last I have heard was over 6 million was stored aside, and a bit more than a million was totally lost. That should tell you how much we have a problem with, it is really a huge number, we are already nearly done in mining, just after a bit over 10 years, which means that we have very little left in the market hence why the price goes up constantly.
