2621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 09, 2021, 07:15:41 PM
Serie A teams will be forced to suck at champions league in the coming years as well if this financial trouble thing goes on for too long. Look at the teams, they are failing to keep their players, it could be sold players, it could be not even signed players but in the end teams are losing players like crazy. Other leagues like specially premier league have so much money that they end up buying whoever they want from Italy and grow bigger while Italy only manages to hang on for now.

Financial situations between nations could be playing a big part here as well, considering Italy doesn't make the same money from tv rights in their own nation let alone other nations compared to UK, but I still think that this lukaku deal will be the nail in the coffin to tell the whole world Italy is just a play ground nation now, at a Dutch level instead of a "big 5".

In fact, it is not as easy as you explained simply. Naturally, human beings have certain characteristics that you can never ignore. First of all, gamblers who don't mind taking risks can never accept defeat. When he loses 50 bucks he will never be able to control himself because he does not care to take risks, he will be eager to make more deposits to recover the lost 50 bucks. No advice can prevent him to stop at that time, because he has the ability to take high risks.

Again, when you win an extra 50 bucks, you can't stop gambling, as @tygeade said you don't know the limit, you can't fix your greed. after winning 100 bucks or 200 or 500 bucks you may stop for a few hours even several days but you have to come back again to feed your greed until you spent all of the winnings.

The only thing that is able to stop becoming a problem gambler is self-realization and admitting that something is happening wrong.
That is not "naturally", I am a human, and I do it hence it means humans can do it. It is just "some" humans can't do it, it could be majority of people, it could be a minority, I do not know the number of people that does it but the fact is that we have a chance to actually do it and I am the proof of that. When you have extra amount of money then you should be gambling however you want, the difference between putting in 50 bucks and losing that and putting some more money and losing that as well, is not the same as putting 50 bucks and winning a lot of money and then losing that.

You can afford to lose your earnings because that's fine, but you can't afford to lose your own money, and you should not because it becomes addiction and that is the biggest risk. I personally try to do my best and I have achieved this, if I can then I do not see any reason why others couldn't.

The numbers are very attractive to see, but that percentage will not last long.
And once people get in, the APR can easily go down and you won't get the same APR.
So it is up to you if you will join or not, and avail the staking or their farming feature.
Evaluate if it is worth keeping your tokens in this kind of passive income.
This will be worthwhile if the token keeps on rising its value.
That is what I tried to say, it is not really that profitable, even on the first moments, you make money for maybe 10 minutes and it is very very low for just 10 minutes anyway, even though you make 100k% per year, that would be 2% for 10 minutes, think about how little that is in the crypto world, crypto currencies change 2% in an hour, so it is not really that big of a deal to make that much and this wasn't even close to that neither. What people should do is look at the long term. With these type of farming profits, we are investing into something that will give us some returns plus it has its own price.

So we need to decide is the return worth the investment, and will the price go up. If we are going to get 100% a year on return, but 50% drop in price that means we make nothing, those type of things are very important when you make these kind of investments.
2624  Economy / Economics / Re: Can developing countries follow El Salvador use Bitcoin? on: August 09, 2021, 05:43:49 PM
Nah, I don’t think that every country is going to do the same thing because El Salvador is doing it. And secondly I don’t think that bitcoin is going to magically lead them out poverty. All those who are unbanked in the country, how will they be able to make use of bitcoin if they are not able to make use of banks?

Let’s imagine that they have a smart phone to make use of bitcoin, the next question would be whether they have enough money to be able to invest in Bitcoin and make use of it? Because if they don’t have that money, then there is no way they will be able to make use of it. I think their government should put more effort towards making the country a safe place to live, and then look for better means to boost their economy. Corruption is one thing that kills a nation.
2625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to Binance? on: August 09, 2021, 11:04:42 AM
I can’t tell what will happen to Binance in future, but I’ve also been seeing a lot of these news about it, though some of them were due to some of those countries banning cryptocurrencies or something like that, like in the case of UK and Nigeria, so the company had to discontinue their services there. Then other news about them, like the one of data distribution in Russia, etc. That’s a totally different case and I hope that they really get to settle it. Some of these countries has already started banning them.

Although in some areas where they were banned they have continued to function there as a P2P exchange, so they are not like fully out from those places.
2626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to judge whether newly listed coins are worth investing? on: August 09, 2021, 10:22:37 AM
Some people usually say that we should all be looking at how big the community of a coin is before you we decide to join and invest in that coin. In this case the op is talking about how to know whether newly listed coins are worth investing in or not, and in this case, since the coin is still new it is not going to have a big community behind it yet. At this point it takes the hard work of the team to keep it flowing, and not the community.

Now this is why it’s important to get to know the team and know how hard they are working towards pushing the coin forward. This matters a lot in the start. As time goes on the coin will then have a big community that is supporting it. It’s just like bitcoin, when it started, it didn’t have a community that is as big as it does now.
2627  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading skills and strategies on: August 09, 2021, 05:08:58 AM
Bear in mind that Its takes a lot of time, efforts and research to become successful in trading, these are not easy to accomplished in a jiffy but with dedication and perseverance you will get there, however erase the idea or mindset of becoming rich quick in trading.
I agree that making easy and super fast profits must be the first imagination that most traders do have when they are getting into trading. If they understand the practical way of profit making from trading then probably they will have smooth experience while crypto trading otherwise they might lose all their capital as early as possible. I am one of them who lost all the capital on first attempt of crypto trading.

Choose one or two trading strategies out of the numerous ones on YouTube practise it via demo or stimulation until you earn profits consistently
Consistency is the thing, most traders never bother. They choose a new strategy and customize it according to their risk management levels but never test them to find out the consistency of a strategy which makes them to lose when they try those strategy in real markets.

I need some help or direction in terms of process and strategy.
Nowadays, you can easily find lots of trading related resources available on youtube and with few other trading related websites. You may go for studying with few of ebooks which are available for free cost as well.
2628  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥NetEnt release 🔥 NFT Battles |⚡️Free BTC+BNB| 📈HotBit listing on: August 08, 2021, 09:10:06 PM
It honesty doesn't worth to farm it for just a second or two, I have been in part of many defi projects on early moments when they started, even from presale and at the very first seconds it is usually hugely "profitable" in the sense that it gives a huge return by the looks of it, but it is so quick that you do not make that much money at all. 10k per year means 27% a day, that is nearly 1% per hour, and usually this takes about 10 minutes before people get in.

So 10k% per year means only 0.20% or so for 10 minutes, sure a great thing in long term but this is usually done in 10 minutes so nobody really earns anything. I have done it a million times now and usually that is how it all goes.
2629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 08, 2021, 08:48:32 PM
This past season was probably the best thing that happened for PSG. They lost the league and they were eliminated from champions league earlier than they wanted, but this lit a fire under the management. Look at what they did this year, even addition of Messi is a big deal, but with Donnaruma, ramos and hakimi that is just going to be insane, and they have wijnaldum as well.

Funny thing is that Barcelona wanted Wijnaldum to put aside Messi, PSG not only got wijnaldum from under them, but also got Messi to see that dream happen but in different jersey. Thanks to last year's failure, they built a team that may end up winning everything, this team could do a sixtuple, or maybe fail who knows but I can say it will definitely be amazing.
2630  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: August 08, 2021, 07:29:31 PM
I couldn't open the sportsbetting part, I can open the casino part but I couldn't open the sports side for some reason, I tried with VPN as well and with chrome as well (using opera normally) and none of that worked honestly. I am sure I will find a way soon though, I just wanted to both notify roobet about it so that they would know about it, but at the same time I wanted to ask if anyone else is having this type of trouble? If you do and fix it please let me know as well. Meanwhile I would like to congratulate Roobet about this, a great choice honestly and I am sure that they will definitely do a huge promotion eventually to welcome sportsbook to their website, they always do huge promotions.
2631  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: August 08, 2021, 09:33:09 AM
The easiest way to prevent gambling addiction is to see gambling as what it is: a hobby. I already talked about may how I achieve this in other threads so I am going to put this short:
  • Set yourself a monthly limit, eg. 50$ and deposit the coins on your favourite casino
  • As soon as your balance hits 0 again stop playing for the Rest of the month, don't even think about depositing any additional money

It is simple but very effective  Wink
It is a good approach for responsible gambling. I contribute another tip.

From $50 of your monthly allocation for gambling, if you win up to $200, withdraw your $150 and use the $50 for the rest day of that month or next month. It is not hard to win but it is harder to keep the money you won. You will more easily to lose your won money than your deposit.

If after $150 withdrawal, you lose all $50, let's stop gambling in that month.
That 50 bucks a month is a thing I started doing years ago, you can check my messages from before and you will see that I even talked about it. The real problem with your logic is that, what is the limit for it? Like I start with 50 bucks, and reach 100 bucks, do I withdraw that extra 50? Or do I wait until 200? Or 500? Where do I stop? I personally do it once a month, every first of the month, if I have less than 50 bucks, I deposit enough to make it 50 bucks again, and if I have more than 50 bucks (if it is not like just 5-10) then I withdraw the excess.

That way I get to gamble with whatever I have, never had more than 1200$ all at once win, but that is good enough for me to gamble for a very long time, I deposited to another wallet, started literally just a wallet for it, and spent that, it is over now because this was years ago but I am quite happy with that method.

Hi all, just to confirm, we have indeed resolved the Simone Biles market, so congrats to everybody who made the right bet!

We still haven't made our "official" announcement regarding multiple cryptos, but will be doing so pretty soon, and ramping up social media along with it Smiley

Thanks everybody for participating and don't forget to check out our other Olympics markets!
Thanks for the heads up , but please can you at least put even a small time updating this thread and answer some questions arise at least once a week ? because this will give confident to incoming players how you complying with the inquiries .
It says "resolved" but I do not know what that means? I mean did they voided all the bets? Or did they end up crediting for "winners" or took money from "losers"? This was an extraordinary case where an athlete literally stopped participating, she did it for 2 things but all the rest she just withdraw herself.

In any case I hope that resolve means voided because Simone Biles was expected to win 6 gold medals total whereas she ended up with a silver and a bronze, which was obviously nothing we expected from her, but it is much much much more important to actually make her feel better, nothing is more important than a person's health.

I know these athletes work 4 years for every single day just for a minute or two on that stage, and that is a very big hard work for a low chance of something, but it is still quite admirable to let all of that go and protect your mental health, many people couldn't find the power to do what she did, congrats to her for being aware of the situation.

Yeah I agree that name just makes it sound like a dice website, where in fact they have a bunch of game, that should be something you market to the world a lot because people who only see the name would think that you are a dice website, and nowadays only dice is not going to cut it, you obviously know this since you made a whole website with bunch of games, but do not be shy about promoting yourself neither.

Nothing wrong with promoting how many games you have, that is something you worked hard on and you deserve the credit for it. We have seen so many places that does fake marketing on things they do not have and only hope to have in the future, whereas this one is a bit different where they do not even promote the things they have, let alone what they may have in the future. I think website looks decent, let's see what happens in the future but it looks to be a good start.
2634  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅ SwC Poker ♣️ BITCOIN POKER ♣️ Hold'em✅ PLO✅ Mixed✅ MTT✅ ♣️ BBJ🌟 ♣️ BIG BTC🏆 on: August 07, 2021, 09:16:02 PM
They are not active here anymore! Try support@swcpoker.club
Wow, it looks like SwC hasn't logged into BitcoinTalk since June 28th, 2021. Bold move for a bitcoin poker site.
Well they were not really doing anything special while they were here neither, they were simply just sharing some promotions and that's about it, they were never really "active" here for over a year now, go check their post history and find how many of it is actually responding to people, and how many of it is just simply putting up some banners of a new thing and leave right afterwards.

This is why I honestly believe that SwC is not really doing any profit at all, if they did, they would be here but they are almost always empty and do not have too many gamblers which means it must be a small amount that they make each month, hence when you do not profit, you cut staff and try to either drop costs that way, or you simply declare it closed eventually. We are getting there, SwC closed before because they didn't profit, I believe they may do that again soon.
2635  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason why investors often lose money on: August 07, 2021, 08:09:33 PM
I know that they are already aware of what might happen to them upon trading but too unfortunate that they still get into a mess and are unable to think wisely.
Yeah, we are seeing that the dangers of investing is being taught at every part of this forum, still many new people are getting into investments even they are aware of what had happened into most other investors even after they had enough/suggested knowledge preparation. Most new people are driven by fake belief like they could filter out scammy things more easily unlike anyone else.
I do believe that we are not really thinking about what the mental outcomes of losing money could be as well. He could be losing a small amount but even while losing a small amount people should not be really focusing on what they did, or what they lost, but how they feel. Just because you lost 10 bucks doesn't mean that the feeling of it does equal to 10 dollars.

I had times when I rather lose 10 bucks by dropping it on the street without realizing instead of losing on trading, it was that much of a pain. I don't know what I could do about this, I know that it doesn't sound like it could be as good as it gets because I should be emotionless while trading and I do that as much as I can nowadays, but I also understand the newbies who feel that way, because once upon a time I was one of those newbies that did lost a lot and felt even more sad then just the amount itself.
2636  Economy / Economics / Re: Marathon Invests $150 Million In Bitcoin on: August 06, 2021, 08:28:41 PM
The interest in Bitcoin will not stop growing. And I believe with time we are going to reach a really high level. A lot of companies are going to be rushing towards it this time, as they will be trying to buy now than later. After the price has reached $60,000 and dropped to $30,000 a lot of institutions are going to see it as an opportunity to start buying lots of bitcoins before there is another bull run that will push the price to a level that is more than this that we have had as of recent.

There are even many that might have invested in Bitcoin and even different other cryptocurrencies that we might not know yet, with time we will get to know about them. And more institutions are still coming.
2637  Economy / Gambling / Re: Moonbet - Become the Owner of a Crypto Sportsbook & Casino on: August 06, 2021, 04:55:50 PM
ICO reputation is tainted due to those scam that we do have in the past and i cant really blamed out people on having this kind of impression. This is why its really hard to trust up on making investment

and just looking into the image into their site on how the site could potentially look like then its hard to tell on just seeing the front page.

We do love to see new Sportsbook and at the same time a Casino or simply having both to have at least have some option but taking this competition would really be hard.
This is a bit of a different situation compared to all other ICO, the reason here is that bankroll is the reason for it. Think about it we are talking about a situation where we all give money and get the token and get dividends in return for it. However that money is not going directly to moonbet staff's pocket basically, because in most other places it is like that and that is the biggest trouble we will probably have in all other places because they just took our money and did nothing and that was the scam basically.

Here you both get dividends and also your money is used for bankrolling the casino itself, that is the greatest difference. I am not saying this place will be amazing or horrible because we could never know, but at the end of the day we are basically seeing the difference and that difference is quite big and very important as well.
2638  Other / Archival / Re: The Problem of Environmental Friendliness of BTC Mining...Another Speculation? on: August 06, 2021, 05:51:20 AM
Okay this is a really long article and I couldn’t finish it, I only read more than half of it but I believe I have gotten what you’re trying to say and I do have a question on why nobody talks about the banking sectors and gold that both consumes double of Bitcoin’s energy consumption rate? If the effect that Bitcoin can have is this much, then that means that whatever effect the banking sectors and gold are having is double of what Bitcoin is having.

It is really high time that they looked for a way to fix all these things once and for all and not just put all the blames on Bitcoin while they allow the rest to kill us silently, everything should be tackled at once.
2639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never Trade On Emotions on: August 05, 2021, 09:00:23 PM
A lot of people trade by emotion, and I know people that do this, a lot of them. They don’t invest in cryptocurrency by doing analysis and research, rather they just wait to see whenever the price will start going up.

And when the price goes up they will start investing in cryptocurrency, because they feel they will quickly make lots of money and get rich. But a reverse is the case, they end up losing money and they get frustrated and withdraw with loss. Their emotions leads them in decision making, instead of their skills. So emotions are very bad in making decision in trading. A trader needs to do steady research and create a strategy they will solidly stand with, no matter what.
2640  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥NetEnt release 🔥 NFT Battles |⚡️Free BTC+BNB| 📈HotBit listing on: August 05, 2021, 08:41:12 PM
I have used Hotbit about 10 times just to sell bounty tokens. Did not have any troubles doing that, so I cant complain or support that Hotbit has a bad reputation. A new exchange is always good and better than no exchange.

Btw, according to coinmarketcap, Betfury (BFG) token is traded only on pancakeswap. I think that Betfury representative should write them and ask to add biswap and hotbit trading pairs into Market section. Because that will add trading volumes for BFG and will move BFG above 3600 place.
I do agree that hotbit seems to be working fine right now, I do know their bad reputation as well, and I am sure many people did had a problem with them and that is why they have a bad reputation, but I honestly do not think that they are THAT bad, it must be a period where they had a problem I suppose. I still think biswap and pancakeswap is a lot better, I still prefer DEX, and if it has to be a centralized exchange I still think Binance is the best, these are still valid points and I still agree with them.

However at the end of the day I think if we are going to get listed on Hotbit that doesn't mean that we should be thinking that as a bad thing neither, it was a quite good thing and we should be quite happy about it as well because that also means that betfury is getting bigger and bigger as well since we are getting listed in more places as well.
