I only see value in DASH. You can invest in DASH, trade with DASH or run your masternode with DASH. In the long term of investment, you will have profit as the result of active developers, big communities and big adoption for DASH. It used to be the second biggest altcoin in 2018. Ethereum is the biggest, DASH is the second biggest in their price. Did you see what happen with Ethereum (A new all time high)? I believe similar growth is coming with DASH.
For other masternode coins, I would like to ignore them and it is applied for 2 other coins you wrote in OP.

You can play arbitraging around if the coin you use has fast transaction speed and cheap transaction fee. The shorter waiting period you have with the coin you choose, the better opportunity for you to take profit from your arbitrages.
If you choose a bad coin or a bad period with network congestion or high transaction fee, you might end with loss as price can change a lot with time and among exchanges. Conversion directly on each exchange is bad as the spread is high and fee for conversion is not cheap.

3% of BTC's circulating supply is the small figure but it was used to magnify the importance and power of institutional investments. I don't blindly ignore that figure and say institutes did not bring any positive effects to bitcoin and crypto market. They have a lot of contributions but the magnification and exaggeration on their importance are what I don't like much.
Exaggeration is similar to lie and when the lie is uncovered, side effects will come consequently. I don't think institutes will never sell out their bitcoin. They might hold their bitcoin for longer than retail investors but some days they will take profit. It is what I, we don't know now.

It is a good point and OP used the P/E for this reminder. It is good but people can not bring traditional TA to crypto market or can not apply it without any other consideration.
Crypto market is defining the over sold and over bought price. Bitcoin is the leader to redefine those terms. You can think the price is over valued now but in crypto market, it will rise higher to top up before any corrections or bear market later. Oppositely, price might fall much deeper than what you thought in the lowest price for over sold. Fortunately, it will rally back to the oversold price you define with traditional TA.
Don't take profit too soon or don't fear too much and shake your hands. Price might often rise higher or rally later

With $16000, I recommend you to spend $10000 to invest in Bitcoin. The rest portion $6000 would be used to invest in altcoins. If you spend $500 for each potential altcoins, you can invest in 12 altcoins. It is a good diversification for your portfolio. $500 is the amount that you can easily enter and exit the market without any appearance of buy or sell walls from your trading orders. I would like to give you a reminder that potential altcoins are true in bull market but in bear market, altcoins are all killed by the bear and the Bitcoin. In bear market, you only have 1 choice, Bitcoin. |

Agree, if ethereum transaction costs can be reduced it will be a greater attraction for investors to use ethereum. Right now, the fee of transaction is very high even we using economy (Gas setting).
It depends on how you set gas price and gas limit for your transactions. It also depends on the default figures are given by the wallet you are using. Most of people don't know steps to customize price and limit and they automatically accept default figures that obviously always expensive. Recently, we have seen lots of institutional fund to come in the market. Tesla have invested and possibly soon we will see rich people are using BTC as store of value. As the days go, we see the mcap is increasing. When it will increase more, what do you think, will the price manipulation be decreased? Or even effected? If we look at the Tesla announcement, it didn’t create huge changes.
News from Tesla investment and their future plans to adopt bitcoin as payment method to buy Tesla products help bitcoin rising a lot. Why did you say "it did not create huge changes"? Institutes have more strategies and good experts to manipulate the market. I believe they have better connections to news, media platforms and they can more easily to spread big fuds than personal whales. So, as we see the increase in mcap, will we see power of manipulation is decreasing?
The marketcap of bitcoin is still smaller than some Big Techs and the total marketcap of crypto market is smaller than stock market. I think it is still easily for whales, institutes to manipulate market. Their manipulations will only be controlled if governments make law regulation and force exchanges to do Circuit breaks and margin of changes within a day of trade. |

All of this makes me wonder, will Garlicoin be next? After all, GRLC is a "joke" just like Dogecoin is today. Its creation was truly inspired by Dogecoin itself. Garlicoin need to rise up 3 times to get $0.10 and I think it is possible in the bull market for crypto. It can happen after few minutes, few hour or after you take a sleep and wake up. However, I think Garlicoin will be corrected after its x10 growth recent weeks. After the correction, it is possible to see another high for GRLC. I doubt that GRLC won't be like Dogecoin, due to for what is good about in Doge was they've build a strong community

Altcoins are often falling when bitcoin increases or decreases in BTC values. I would like to trade altcoins with BTC pairs if bitcoin has a stable time. When bitcoin has a good stability after either a pump or a dump, altcoins will have good rises in BTC values. The hilarious fact is not all participants on the market have faith in bitcoin that makes them shake their hands when fuds are on the news. They shake hands and don't buy back because of fear and lost of faith.
True bitcoiners will cut loss and buy back at lower price when they see opportunities to increase their bitcoin amount. Such true bitcoiners are not too popular on the market.

Altcoin runs are a real thing, they really do increase a lot even when bitcoin increases, look at the price of bitcoin right now, how fast it increased and how great it is, but at the same time look at the altcoin prices, they increased a lot as well. So, bitcoin dominance is very important to realize whats going on with the altcoins, that is basically the indicator of it, when it goes down that means altcoins are on the rise.
You forgot the market when bitcoin increases a lot and altcoins are all massacred in red. The market when bitcoin and altcoins rise together is not common. Look at doge, look at eth, look at bnb and many others as well, I can't name all the coins that went up super high in the last week or two, they all went super high, I believe that even when bitcoin goes up, there is a big chance that altcoins could have an "alt season" and increase a lot like how it did now. Lets hope that this continues, I want to see higher prices in every single currency out there.

In simple words, it is a battle of one against thousands. So obviously in near future, dominance of bitcoin will get decreased significantly as success of one or tow altcoins' success will lead to the decreases of dominance of bitcoin in total crypto markets' valuation.
Bitcoin dominance will be more accurate if on the market, there are not many new projects that add more marketcap to altcoins, OTHERS.D. In periods when altcoin projects are hyped with hundred of new projects and their initial and few weeks later price are high, overbought, bitcoin dominance will be not correct. I'm not ready to believe into such observations like how bitcoin dominance will affect altcoins' fluctuations. Because, from a common new investor's perspective, they will get instructed to diversify their investments when they start with crypto investing. So, obviously such beginner-cum-investors will invest into bitcoins along with some other altcoins as well. So, we can expect a bull run in crypto space will lead to increase of either bitcoin or altcoin dominance but based on where more people invest.

I'm sorry I'm not seeing any significant role of bitcoin dominance in crypto space because most new investors are not checking such things. As a crypto noob in 2017, Dogecoin was among the first three coins I bought during my frenzy to try my hand on crypto that year. I bought it for reason of two things — it was among the top coins on the CMC then, secondly the price was very cheap. I didn't even know what its hub or team or road map or white paper was all about. I guess it's the same way a lot of people will be buying it now too. If you look at Bitcoin, I am sure not even up to 5% of those who use it has read the white paper. I hope Dogecoin continues to soar.
Bitcoin adoption is what people discuss and use as one of basement for their prediction on bitcoin price. Dogecoin has very good adoption and its future is not dooming. The barrier for Dogecoin to get expensive price is its very high total supply. I believe that bitcoin will rise more, this year and in future. Dogecoin will survive along the market cycles and will follow Bitcoin to move up. Whitepaper, Github, not many investors read those documents. what i see in crypto market is that market can be easily influence by major market trader, so with that picture everything can turn around for Doge, Elon is a major trader and investor so he can easily influence anything.

DeFi projects are over supplied and the market does not need more. I realize that need or does not need more, more DeFi projects will be launched as it is an easy trend to create new projects, catch capital from the crowd, play some dump and pump rounds. After that, developers have gotten enough money and they have many reasons to abandon their projects and wait for other trends.
Try to upgrade projects, create new products, build up communities are more difficult and create a totally new and make some fake development activities.
I won't imagine how DeFi trend will end with many successful and active projects.
