Since your posts > activity by more than 14, every new two week period where you make a post, your activity will increase by 14.
Does it work like this? I assumed you get 1 activity point per post, up to a maximum of 14 points per 2 weeks. Post are not "carried over" from past weeks as long as you make at least 1 Post, are they? Posts are.

That's the same thing with post counts - everyone will eventually become a hero member if they keep posting

Thank you So now you need to be active for: - more than a year to be hero 7 Months - more than six months to be senior 3.5 Months - more than one month to be full member
I really like that
Fixed. No Are calculators that hard to use? Oh wait you don't even need a calculator 400 / 14 / 4.34812 = 6 months and 3 weeks etc. Where does 4.34812 come from? time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration activity = min(time * 14, posts)
time*14=400 time=400/14 number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration=400/14 two weeks=14 min number of days=400/14*14 Oops - 4.34812 was the number of weeks in a month, but this is actually fortnight.

~~ PSA PSA PSA ~~
btct.co accounts are definitely on the radar for hackers. I just finished replying to a very unhappy user with a compromised account. (Logs showed logins from China, South Korea, and Japan, all in a 24 hour window.) It's only the second such case I've heard of over the last 6 months, but that makes two accounts too many.
TURN ON 2FA.
2FA you offer is only usable if you have a phone that supports it. Today it is really easy to figure out the geographical location of IP address and clients "typical" location. If I start suddenly logging in from China, trust me, something is wrong and BTC-TC should ask me for PIN or something before letting me in. Even better, lock down my account and send me a e-mail. A service I'm working on (not really relating to btc-tc) works this way. It also takes in account your browser and operating system, system language, etc with a heuristically based ranking system. For example, signing in from an iPhone when you generally use a mac is a lot less suspicious than if you started using Internet Explorer when you've always signed in from Linux. And if you're from Australia but your system language is Chinese, this helps you - logging in from a non Chinese computer in Australia will still flag as suspicious.

What time does Coinlenders pay interest? It always says 01:00, but what time zone is that? UTC? Also if I withdraw 1 hour before that payment, does it still pay the 23 hours prior? Thanks.
Server time is now displayed at the bottom of the page. Second question: No.

The reason why most people do not use encryption is because it's too bothersome to use existing solutions like GPG. What we need is an easy (that means, no bitmessage's hashing and "takes 5 minutes to send a message") way to communicate - something persistent.
Do not use proof of work for messages. Botnets sending out email spam will still send out PoW spam. Message delivery and permanent storage should not be guaranteed - rather, read notifications is what should be.

invasion of privacy of the officer though?
They don't seem to mind invading other people's privacy. As public servants should they have any privacy when working? This sounds like a great system and permanent public access to the feeds would do a huge amount for public confidence imho. I agree with the spirit, but that's a bit broken. Video of inside your house is now up on the internet if you call the cops.

I was going to suggest something but I see Meni already said something like it. Right now, the system isn't very smart - it's still suspect able to "binge posting".
Every single post should give you up to 1 activity, but the actual amount it gives depends on the time since your last post.
For example, if your last post was 4 minutes ago, another post will add ~0.01. If your last post was 4 hours ago, another post would add ~0.7. If your last post was 2 days ago, another post would add 1. If your post last was 14 months ago, another post would add 1.

Since you insist, here's another speculative angle.
Maybe they took hashes offline because they realized they could freeze the current difficulty for a bit while they work on getting the new boards ready.
That makes little sense. The difficulty is not adjusted once every 2 weeks, it is adjusted once every 2016 blocks. So if they "froze" the current difficulty and got tons of new board online, then the difficulty is going to rise in a day or so instead of 5, neutralizing the effect. The difficulty increase will be a bit less, yes, but that's not worth it when you have BFL & Avalon starting to ship more, and with the lost mining power.

i confirm i read it also its here you can see it yourself, anyone want to sell shares link up with me while i still have some funds This now widely-accepted news will also mean the end of Bitcoin itself, since similar quantum computers will be able to break the SHA256 algorithm. In light of this news, as an act of charity, I will purchase everyone's Bitcoins for $1 USD each. I'll sell you my Testnet coins! You know, the quantum computers are going to be tested on testnet first.

I think a better way to do this and avoid all complaints is to make it so that nearly everyone ended up with a higher ranking. Just create new ranks.
It's like how the council here undervalues your land by ~15%, but increases the rate per $ of land value by 17.6%. You still pay the same amount, but nobody complains that their land is overvalued.

Rate / APR 20% - 25%.
1. 0.2BTC loan for 1 week = 0.24BTC back. 2. 0.2BTC loan for 2 weeks = 0.25BTC back. 3. 0.5BTC loan for 1 week = 0.6BTC back. 4. 0.5BTC loan for 2 weeks = 0.625BTC back.
That's wrong. 1: 0.24 / 0.2 = 1.2; 1.2^52 = (13104 -1) * 100 = 1,310,300% APRMore than a million APR. Wow, someone must be desperate if they want to borrow off you.

Gmail was marking CoinLenders activation emails as spam. I've changed the format of the email somewhat, but if you have registered and did not get an activation email, please check your spam inbox and search for "coinlenders". Mark the email as not spam.
Thanks!

This is similar to the TF2 drop rate cap. I like this change.
