3241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Windows wallet or regular wallet? on: February 09, 2021, 04:54:32 AM
regular wallets for example such as Etherscan
Many wallets for Ethereum and ERC20 tokens so of course I don't know all of them. You can check the big list for ETH/ ERC20 wallets and get one or few to use.
[BIG LIST] Ethereum Wallets (121 wallet)

First of all, Etherscan is not a wallet unless I'm missing something because they are Ethereum Blockchain Explorer. Maybe you are referring to Web wallet(MyEtherwallet for example) compared Desktop Wallet like Electrum right?
I agree that OP misunderstood wallet and explorer. Etherscan.io is a block explorer for ETH/ERC20 tokens, it is not a wallet. From the big list of 121 wallets, I can not find it.

I mean the Windows wallet offered by every small sample campaign like the bitdepositary bounty..
You must be careful if you want to download and install wallet from new projects. Their teams can hide malwares, trojans in wallets and if you are unaware of such threats, install wallets, your computer will be infected and they might steal your crypto.

I try to avoid unnecessary installations of strange wallets.
3242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla buys 1.5 BILLION worth Bitcoins !! Good or Bad ? on: February 09, 2021, 04:47:29 AM
And there you go, the official annual report of Tesla Inc. and let me quote,

Quote
Thereafter, we invested an aggregate $1.50 billion in bitcoin under this policy and may acquire and hold digital assets from time to time or long-term. Moreover, we expect to begin accepting bitcoin as a form of payment for our products in the near future, subject to applicable laws and initially on a limited basis, which we may or may not liquidate upon receipt.

https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1318605/000156459021004599/tsla-10k_20201231.htm
It will be my curiosity to see how Tesla will have their ToS for bitcoin used to by Tesla's products. How they will block all users with Bitcoin from dark markets or money laundering or frauds. I am sure they will have to include such strict rules to bind with the laws in the US.

This news is big as it is not simply for institutional investments, but also for real products, and future real adoption for bitcoin. Tesla is a company beyond financial companies, hedges, etc. and they is the next giant that take into actions, invest and adopt bitcoin.

Welcome Elon and Tesla to bitcoin ecosystem. When Moon?  Cool
3243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving , and its Effects on: February 08, 2021, 01:49:21 PM
In fact, like other assets, Bitcoin operates on a simple supply and demand logic apart from all other speculation. Its fundamentals are so strong that the lack of supply is the main driver of the price rise.
In financial game, you can not find a simple rule. With bitcoin and crypto market, you can not conclude their values on market are decided by supply and demand rule and by intrinsic values.

Crypto market is the one that is run by news and is built by belief of investors. If they believe in something good for future, they accept high price. It is the rule of market, the sellers sell it because  they think price topped up. The buyers buy it as they think prices can move up more.
3244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: February 08, 2021, 03:06:58 AM
Fantastic, seeing how Manchester City destroyed Liverpool today. I was shocked when Firmino almost scored with a volley, but Ederson managed to block it. Shit that Gundogan didn't score the penalty, but he paid the mistake with the other 2 goals. 1-4 is a big score for this match because previously I just thought 1-2 was right. But Manchester City's goal feast was completely unexpected even though they faced the reigning champions last season.

Not only was Alison having a bad day, but all the Liverpool players and their staff who were present at the match suffer the same fate.
I was thinking of a lucky draw for Liverpool after the goal from Salah but two mistakes from Allison wiped out that equaliser. Liverpool became a champion in Premier League and Champions League after they found a good goal keeper, Allison Becker but it looks that their troubles will be from this position again.

After few injuries in the recent 2 seasons, Allison lost his good saves and concentration. Furthermore, no one can sure that Van Dijk will come back with his best and his age is 29, old enough to fully recover with a serious injury. Good luck to them but Klopp has to prepare for a future without the two players.

Man City has one hand on the trophy already. No other team will be close to them, they are the best team this season by some distance. Pep must win the CL with City to be a complete success though, it’s what the Arabs brought him to the club for.
Liverpool can say good bye to the Premier League championship title. Manchester City is now leading strongly on the table.
3245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Acquiring bitcoin: "Buy" vs "Convert" on: February 08, 2021, 02:28:32 AM
There is not much difference really. Buying Bitcoin means your fiat is converted into Bitcoin. And now I am noticing that swap is also a term becoming popular with several platforms.

Personally, I would consider buying when I have fiat outside any crypto wallet. I normally attach conversion with my fiat which is already positioned in my crypto wallet or trading platform for the best entry price. Trade would be more closely synonymous to conversion. But that's for me.

Overall, I guess they're interchangeable.
They are not the same and different actually. Buy and sell are for taker and maker orders but with swap or convert, you have to automatically accept the deal the is given by exchanges. They provide that service for you so they charge you more fees and the spread of the converted price and real price (if you buy or sell with Spot market as taker or maker) will be bigger.

You have to accept temporary loss at the time you convert it.

Buy and sell are different than Long and Short, Bid and Ask.  Smiley
3246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC back to All time high ..did you buy ? on: February 07, 2021, 02:47:56 AM
This morning BTC has returned to it's ATH of Jan 8,2020.

How about you ?   DID YOU BUY, SELL, OR HOLD ?
And now what are your plans ?
It did not reach the all time high and already was crashed. I am thinking of a more correction for bitcoin but I of course believe the bull run of bitcoin will continue after correction.

I did not sell at the highest price yesterday but I will wait to buy back at $32000 to $33000 based on 1 day chart. I believe bitcoin will head towards $70,000.
3247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which 'cryptos' do you suggest I should invest in for a duration of 3 to 5 month on: February 07, 2021, 02:32:48 AM
Seeing how cryptocurrencies have been soaring, I have decided to make a bold move and invest a quarter of my total capital in cryptos. I am looking forward to invest for the duration of 3 months (maximum for 5 months).
I am not curious with your private reasons but I just let you know if you make loan to invest, it is bad. If you spend money from your pocket and have plans to reuse it in next 3 or 5 months, it is fine. You don't have to worry that you will be called by your loan interests and expiration.

But please afford any loss for your investment, and prepare it in case you will end with loss next 3 or 5 months. I meant the preparation can give you good mood and an ending that won't kill you.

Quote
Looking at past performances of various cryptos, I have decided to invest in 1inch, Bat, Atom, Sushi, ADA, wave and some in Bitcoin.
Do you think my choices are prudent?
Which 'cryptos' do you suggest I should invest in for a duration of 3 to 5 month?
Bitcoin, 1inch, BAT. Don't stay too long in altcoins as you can become more greedy and loss all.

Finally, it is for investment, not trading, not margin trading.
3248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy coins. How much do you think we need them? on: February 07, 2021, 02:23:28 AM
I don't use anonymous coins for transactions, but there are a lot of people who are more scrupulous about their privacy. Therefore, coins such as Monero should be in circulation, so that everyone has the opportunity to use them. But the government will always be against such coins because they can't control such transactions.
If they don't practice as guided by developers of privacy coins, they won't get what you want. As a result of lazy, many people use privacy coins for their transactions and don't care about their own practices when doing transactions.

If they careless and blindly in practice, their privacy can be broken and they can not blame on others (developers or people who trace their transactions)

Privacy never was and never will be a crime. Crime is a crime. You should not do crime. Cars help criminals. But that dont means Cars are crime. Shoes helps criminals, but that dot mean shoes are crime. USD helps crime, but that dont mean USD is crime.

Financial privacy helps you to be safe. When you use transparent ledger cryptocurrencies, any criminal can check how much coins you have and where you use them and where you get them from. Very dangerous information's open to see by anyone.
Guns and gun powder can be used for good or bad, to protect peace and lives or to do terrorist. Depends on the people who use it and their purposes. The same causal results with privacy coins and transactions.

A few more tools:
https://hodlwave.com/
https://www.lookintobitcoin.com/charts/1-year-hodl-wave/
https://charts.woobull.com/bitcoin-hodl-waves/

They are tools and visual charts are made with estimations and assumptions on hibernated or lost bitcoin. We never know that hibernated bitcoin will be woken up some days or they were lost forever.

The common sense from those tools is to help us realize some fact
- Bad mistakes from people whom don't back up their private key or wallet passwords carefully
- Increase awareness of bitcoin scarcity and magnify the scarcity level by number of lost bitcoin.
3250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: DEX w/o KYC: Bisq or Atomex on: February 06, 2021, 06:51:37 AM
I want to swap some BTC to altcoins without doing KYC: did you try Bisq or Atomex?
If I don't miss something, swap can charge you higher fee or the spread of price for swap is bigger than trading. If you are not mind of personal secret, would I ask you why do you want to swap?

If you use Binance, you can buy altcoins directly with bitcoin you have as taker or maker. I am sure you will get better price and have more number of altcoin with same amount of BTC than swap

On Binance, it is Convert, not swap: https://www.binance.com/en/convert

6. Are there any trading fees?
We do not charge any fees on OTC trades. However, there will be a spread (if you are buying, our prices will be above the market price. If you are selling, our price will be below the market price).
3251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRV - The most undervalued project in DeFi on: February 06, 2021, 06:15:01 AM
Staking has been very profitable with Curve over the past few months.
It is true if you did not buy CRV in the first 3 months after it was launched. It is basic and key to get profits from DeFi coins if you don't trade. Wait for a while and get a good price to buy, hold and lock them to pools to get rewards and wait for pumps.

Buy it at price from which it won't fall much deeper will help you get profits and won't get much headache. If people bought CRV 4 or 5 months ago, they get huge profit but if they bought it in first 2 months, their hearts would be broken with terrible dumps.

I am still waiting for a few dumps before buying CRV, the RSI is still in an oversold area, I am not buying now.
Here's my simple chart.

Price from $1.9 to $2.7 can give you good accumulation chance.
3252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH/BTC price as percent on: February 05, 2021, 02:25:43 AM
of course it is a surprise if what you say from the prediction information can happen and most likely will be proven because today ethereum has created its ATH at $ 1,688. Of course this is the latest surprise that ethereum has done, which can move without having to because of the upward movement of bitcoin, but it must be from its own ability which is quite capable of being done.
One year ago, less people had belief that Ethereum can move back to their 2018 All time high but now, it is a past all time high. Ethereum has a good growth in 2020 and it is lasting till early months of 2021.

Quote
but it makes sense to me what ethereum will do because last year they seemed to be lagging behind bitcoin and are now trying to keep up. If the prediction will reach $ 4,785 it looks like ethereum will be able to do this this year, even I have even higher conclusions. but this is certainly good news for other altcoins.
It is not my speculation as there is no trusted basement for that calculation. History does not need to repeat itself everytime. Honestly, $4785 for one Ethereum coin is a price that I don't believe too. It looks impossible from $1600 but if Ethereum can rise to $2500 or $3000, then $4785 will become reachable as it is more than 50% rise from $3000.  Roll Eyes

Tottenham 0 - 1 chelsea

now tottenham situation is a disaster:

what I can’t understand is why tottenham is in this position with so many good players they have. they look like manchester united 10 months ago, if that situation continues for another 3 or 5 matches, Mourinho will start to face pressure from the news channels. tottenham needs more players to score
Tottenham dependence on Kane and Son are good and bad for them. If these two players have good performances, Spurs have big probability to get good results. If they have bad performances or get injuries, Spurs will get troubles. The injury was happened with Kane and it is not a coincidence that it triggers a row of matches that Spurs end with bad results.

If you see how Bergwik missed many great opportunities to score in many matches, you can understand how Spurs will be easily to break down without Kane: who can do 2 tasks, score goals and make key passes, assists.

Gareth Bale, after the loan from Los Blancos, did not show good enough and it is a pity for him and Spurs. Will Bale take the injury of Kane to come back?
3254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRV - The most undervalued project in DeFi on: February 05, 2021, 02:07:54 AM
Keep in mind there are major incentives for CRV holders to stake their coins so they can earn more CRV

I suspect over time as people figure this out and demand increases we will see more and more CRV locked up , the tokenomics of this system are not like most coins.
It is problem for DeFi tokens now and stake/ masternode coins in the past. You have to lock your coins or tokens to receive rewards but in the same time price will have changes. It is bad if you receive rewards as 50% of your initial amount of tokens but the price falls down 70% or more.

With DeFi tokens, choose the good period to enter in order to get as cheapest price for your initial investment as possible is key. This step helps to reduce risks of price falls down deeper and also increase chances to get profits from your rewards. Even you get rewards with profits, the next problem is do you cash it out or keep reinvestment all (too much greedy)? The latter one sooner or later will cause you a loss.
3255  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why gambling money are avoided? on: February 04, 2021, 01:42:07 AM
it might be linked to money laundry or not but I see different posts from which I deduce that gambling money are to be avoided in transactions...
Good gambling sites have their systems to detect deposits from dark sources (money laundering, fraudulent activities, or tumblers). They can suspend your account or refund your deposit if they detect such suspicious and dangerous things for their sites. They use to present it in their ToS (Terms of service)

If you want to enhance privacy and anonymity for your bitcoin transactions, you can use one wallet to receive withdrawal. After that, try to use Wasabi wallet or good tumbler as Chip Mixer. It is for your privacy after withdrawal from gambling sites. Remember that there is risk for your deposit after you mix your coins in tumblers as said.

Liverpool 0 - 1 Brighton

unbelievable, liverpool is losing and i will lose money if the game ends this way
Unbelievable as it is a fourth game that Liverpool can not win at Anfield stadium.

I am surprised to see this result. How can Liverpool get defeated by Brighton at home? I don't know what's happening with Liverpool today but their shot stats aren't as good as Brighton. Liverpool played today isn't like as usual while Brighton played today very impressive. This Premier League is really crazy competition, showed many unpredictable results in many matches during this season.
Have Brighton become the giant-killer in Premier League even they are staying at bottom of table? They killed Tottenham, Liverpool with a single goal in each match. I hope they can keep up this work and improve their rank on the table.

This season has never stopped been crazy. Clubs can move up to the top very quick and slip down to the middle.

Liverpool should forget winning the EPL title this season, imagine just having a single shot on target in Anfield while playing Brighton who are the better team, back to back defeat at Anfield is a clear indication that all is not well with the team despite fielding a relatively strong squad except Mane that was missing, they will host league leader Man City on Sunday another tough match to contend with again.if they lose this match the will drop more points.
It is too soon but I know the impressive climb of Manchester City. They have good total points and have postponed match to play and take more points. The problem with Liverpool is their attacking players scored very little goals in past few matches. This poor performance affects the result.
3257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy coins. How much do you think we need them? on: February 04, 2021, 01:18:18 AM
As we move on with the digitalization, Bitcoin becomes more and more used. However, a considerable amount of people choose Bitcoin to enhance their financial privacy.
Is it true to say that people accept bitcoin and choose to use it because they want to improve privacy level for their financial activities? I doubt that it is not true, and people mainly have bitcoin transactions to invest, trade, speculate. Only very few of them care to use bitcoin for privacy.

Quote
Considering Bitcoin is not a private blockchain, tools like Chainalysis owns are a threat against a significant part of Bitcoin's users since the largest part of them do not use coin control and consolidate outputs and dust the wrong way, revealing their historical traces.
It is their practices with bitcoin transactions. If they want, they can protect their privacy better.

Quote
In consequence, the existence of privacy-focused coins might come in handy in the era where surveillance and control are on an All-Time High.
There is maybe demand on privacy, real or fake. Fake demand comes from people who shout loudly and ask for privacy but in practice, they don't care to do so. If they invest in a privacy coin, it is because they see opportunity to get profit, not because of privacy they can attain from it. With those guys, in practice, they don't protect their privacy.

Quote
On the other hand though, that is not the case for everyone - especially since investors are being pushed away as cryptocurrencies like Monero are slowly being delisted from exchanges while privacy slowly becomes a crime.
Governments don't like bitcoin and cryptocurrency, especially they very don't like privacy coins. They will try to break them down as much as possible. Lawsuits on centralized coins that have known teams or pressures to delist privacy coins from unknown teams.

Quote
So I wanted to gather a general opinion on the subject. What do you think? In the current times we're living, are Monero and privacy-focused coins a necessity?
I think it is still necessary as the nature of life. The world, people, society need to have diversification and competition.

THE ONLY REASON I GOT RICH? I didnt listen to the mass who say you need to buy
expensive coins.
In my perspective, it is a fault understanding of people. Investments bring loss or profit, it depends on what project you invest in and how price will change after you make your investment.

10% of profit is 10% of profit, no matter that you buy coin A at $35,000 or coin B at $100. They will all bring 10% profit to you if their price increase 10% from your entry price.

Hesitate and reject to buy a good coin because you think it is expensive, and switch to cheap coin because you think its price is cheap and feasible to invest. You will end with loss. Entry price is key, not cheap  or expensive.

Is ETH a good project? YES. Does eth have problems as $50 fees for token transfers?
YES!

Will ETH 2.0 fix this? PARTLY.

Will ETH make you rich? HOW?Huh When people way before you bought millions of ETH

You mean ETH is expensive, I agree but it is a good one to invest after corrections.

If you want massive gains in crypto you need to do the work (most people are too lazy)

Why invest in expensive shitcoins?

Post more projects that are still cheap!
Cheap and shit coins don't create profit.

3260  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which website/Platform you are using for trading? on: February 03, 2021, 06:13:12 AM
It depends upon the coins you want to trade with and available pairs on the exchange. Some exchanges strongly support USDT pairs as gate.io (it is an old exchange too). Some provides futures, margins but pairs and min or max leverages are different.

If you want to trade with tiny coins, you have to take risks and choose tiny exchanges that can pull their scam card anytime. So it turns to another question that why you take risk with tiny coin.

Today many exchanges have leverage trades but their UIs are different and the convenience, user-friendly are not the same. BitMEX, Bitfinex, bybit are best for bitcoin leverage trades but yeah you have to accept their ToS, KYC, and more.

Binance is good or best, it is not a matter as you should never store your money on exchange wallet, and it is horrible if you store all your money on one exchange, even they are Binance.
