3246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (STICKIE PLEASE) - List of All Cryptocurrencies - Wiki on: January 15, 2013, 06:46:33 PM

Why?
The other one depends on a single author to manage it.

anyone can check out the wiki on the coins without having to go through the forums. The other list is just something you can check while browsing through the forums, and then you can move onto the next thread, without having to leave the site.

Coins don't move too fast, so the other list shouldn't have much trouble staying up to date. If it does, then people can just check out the wiki.
3247  Economy / Goods / Re: More Silver for Sale (25 Oz) 1/14/13 on: January 15, 2013, 06:28:18 PM
Purchased 2 mint Eagles, 2 Phil Harmonics, and 2 maybe mint Eagles.

Confirmed, list updated!
3248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (STICKIE PLEASE) - List of All Cryptocurrencies - Wiki on: January 15, 2013, 02:10:54 AM
I have seen this, but I don't see a need to sticky this one over the one that has already been stickied. A list of all of the cryptos, comparing and listing their individual features, and how they were accepted by the community is a good idea. It shows what has been tried, what has worked, what hasn't worked, and the current statuses of the living coins.

I prefer the other one as it has all of the information, but nicely displayed in a single post, rather than linking to the wiki.
3249  Economy / Goods / More Silver for Sale (10 Oz) *SOLD* on: January 15, 2013, 01:29:23 AM
SPECIAL OFFER The Somali Elephant or Canadian Antelope (your pick as long as available) will come free with the purchase of the 8 Oz Silver Eagle, already marked down! Thats only 2.5 BTC per Oz!

I've got a few more silver coins that I'm looking to sell, among this list are,

1x 1995 8 Oz Proof DCameo Silver Eagle (24BTC)
9x 1 Oz 2012 Silver Eagles (2.6BTC each) SOLD
1x 1 Oz 2013 Silver Somali Elephant (2.85 BTC)
2x 1 Oz 2012 Silver Philharmonics ( 2.6 BTC each) SOLD
1x 1 Oz 2013 Canadian Antelopes (2.7 BTC)
2x 1 Oz Silver Eagles (2003 and 2012 not in airtite cases) (2.5 BTC each) SOLD

Photos here: http://imgur.com/BVvpv,kEPiy,H9TKv,R8RMm,ajMsE,OIRMh#0

Shipping will be included via USPS, if you would like insurance or your package to be shipped through another postal servis, I'd be happy to oblige, at the added cost.

All of these coins are in airtite cases, minus the two that I have listed above that are in plastic flips. The coins were taken from mint sealed rolls of 20, and placed into airtite capsules. There may be minor scratches/dust on the cases themselves, but I can guarantee the coins are in mint condition, brilliant uncirculated.

The 8 Oz coin is 8 Troy Ounces and comes with certificate of authenticity and the display case. It is actually an odd sort of coin, labeled "Giant Half-Pound Silver Eagle" from the Washington mint, while in reality, its not half pound in any sense. The standard pound consists of 16 ounces, at 28 grams per ounce. The Troy pound consists of 12 Troy ounces, at 31.1 grams per ounce. This coin, being 8 troy ounces, is actually 2/3 of a Troy Pound, and oddity when it comes to minted coins. This is a fairly rare coin, 1995 Silver eagles being the rarest, with some 1 oz proof 1995 silver eagles selling over $10,000.

3251  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Payment Not Delivered by "R-" for Work Rendered on: January 14, 2013, 01:45:02 AM
So did you ever get paid Mush? See, she took a loan from me for 10 BTC, and she said she would have paid me back a long time ago, but she never got paid for some work. Now due to the terms of our loan that we set as a joke at the time, she now owes me 1.8 Million BTC, as we set the terms that 200% interest would compound daily after our initial 1 month agreement.

So... if Mush doesn't get her BTC soon, I'm going to have to break her other leg. And trust me, she doesn't need any more deformities. R, could you live with yourself knowing that you are making some poor hideous woman even more hideous as she falls deeper and deeper into debt?

BTW, Mush, it will be 3.6 Million BTC owed in 1 hour and 20 minutes, so you better hurry the hell up.

also, hopefully by now, people have realized that I was joking. About the money anyway. I'm serious about having to break her other leg, and the ugly part though

It has been 3 months past this post in 27.25 hours. At that rate, Mush now owes me 16,602,069,666,338,596,454,400,000 BTC, and I am tired of her "repayment methods" (Mush isn't very attractive) and I can't break any more bones. I contacted the mob to ask what they would do in this case, and they don't even know. Its not even worth the trouble anymore, so I'll just settle for the 10BTC she owed me in the first place.
3252  Economy / Goods / Re: [VIDEO] Me melting Silver and casting an ingot on: December 25, 2012, 01:36:32 PM

You could have bought fake sterling which was .8 not .925; just like you bought fake Cubans thinking they were real. Or are you saying you are such an expert silversmith that you can tell fake/low sterling from .925?

Well, that is an interesting point, but finding "fake" sterling silver is much more difficult that you can even imagine. The legal penalty for misrepresenting your product when making it out of silver, and stamping the .925 hallmark when it isn't is outrageous.  That and, for the risk, it really isn't worth the reward. At current market spot price, 1 Oz of sterling silver is $27.65 and 1 Oz of 80% silver $23.92. By stamping .925 on non .925 silver, you face jail time that would be much better earned peddling drugs, or something much more profitable.

Really, the only way of getting .8 silver would be from Canadian silver coins.
3253  Economy / Goods / Re: [FAKE] Cuban Cigars: Cohiba Robustos: only 0.35 BTC shipped! on: December 25, 2012, 03:46:28 AM
What quality are the fakes? Are they actually decent smoking cigars, or cheap and lower quality?
3254  Economy / Goods / Re: [VIDEO] Me melting Silver and casting an ingot on: December 25, 2012, 02:12:57 AM
I don't think it clears anything up really, but it certainly is neat. You have got to give the guy props for putting the videos together. My only discrepancy is "Walmart is a pussy, they only sell propane" (not completely verbatim I don't believe) Hank Hill should kick your ass.

I used to melt down silber using a ghetto modified microwave, but I had to stop because it was spewing radiation  Cry

Your video makes me want to get back into the game, and this time try out gas.

3256  Economy / Speculation / Re: Woo hoo Silver smack down on: December 22, 2012, 01:47:12 PM
I myself am a huge silver bug as well. In the long term, you can't possibly lose on silver. If you are looking to sell within a month, you might lose a few bucks, but supply is dwindling, the world's mineable silver is running out, and demand is on the rise. If you have noticed the prices of silver coins, you will have seen that spot price is now irrelevant for the most part. Its all up to what people are willing to pay. Months ago when I started buying in at around $20 per ounce, the standard government bullion was, $2-$3 over spot or so (American silver eagles, Canadian Maples, Austrian Philharmonics) and generics could be found for less. Now you are lucky to find those coins for $5 over spot.

"It is estimated that more than 95% of all the silver ever mined throughout history has already been consumed by industrial use. That silver is gone forever, unrecoverable at any price. In 1900, there were approximately 12 billion ounces of silver in the world. Today, that figure has fallen to about 300 million ounces of above-ground, refined silver. This means that at current prices, it would only take about four billion dollars to purchase all of the above-ground silver in the world today." - Monex

we all seem to be missing the life lesson here... If you want something in life, just ask for it and include a picture of a frog.
3258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Massive LTC DDoS attack on all major pools on: December 02, 2012, 07:02:28 PM
This is good practice for contingency plans when this happens on a larger scale in the future.

Perhaps make some non-public mining pools. Notify people who are in the community privately and hash away.

Great idea!!!  Grin

I am worried someone is trying to perform a 51% attack on the chain.

After the BCX fiasco, new anti 51% attack code was added to LTC, so its much more difficult than just having 51% of the network strength. I don't know, people just seem to get bored and ddos Litecoin pools. Just gotta wait it out.

3260  Economy / Goods / Re: Selling Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King - 142.0 BTC OBO on: December 01, 2012, 12:16:32 AM
He hasn't scammed anyone yet - he just wants to.   Pirate was the exact same - although it was obviously a ponzi, he hadn't actually scammed anyone until he defaulted.

How do you know? Are you dank?

Honestly, I have no vested interest in Dank or his bank, but this sort of mindset irritates me. By your mentality, everyone is a scammer, but just waiting for the right moment.

You know, you could be right I suppose, but there is no evidence at the moment. If there was, you would have gathered the evidence, and started an actual claim against him.
