Got the email:

"Your GLBSE account has been processed for bitcoin. The next step will be to send you information about your assets, and to provide this information to issuers (if you agreed) allowing you to continue your relationship with your issuers."

Lookin' forward to it!

I got the email but still no coins Sad

3244  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Point of Sale - WalletBit on: October 14, 2012, 06:41:54 PM
Make sure that the person using that can run there own server, so they can run it on an intranet and just point my browser to that instead of going over the internet. It is a security thing. I would rather see a native app, so you can build in more security, cause if I ran a man in the middle would I be able to get enough stuff to build a url and login to empty the wallet?
Also how are you storing the wallet for these in a hot wallet, or in a cold wallet?

The design is ok, not the best. I think the dark grey and light grey should be scrapped, and should be more of different colors they are too close together. The greens on the buttons are very different from the green on the + button maybe make those the same, plus the green is a little bright for the grey and black design.
3245  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC Wallet Overview on: October 14, 2012, 05:54:30 PM
I think I broke it. I added 1dice97ECuByXAvqXpaYzSaQuPVvrtmz, and it shows me all transactions are 0 BTC.

How long until you have it start serving up a malicious drive-by payload?

I added this address in my account and seems to load everything perfectly.
0.015BTC, $0.18

Try refreshing the page, it might be a temporary glitch.

I am getting the same errors on a couple of my address
3246  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: developing trust and confidence on: October 14, 2012, 01:14:42 AM
hello, as an honest businessman i have sometimes found it hard to develop trust with consumers put out by an untruswrothy world, this too happens in bitcoins at times.  how do you develop a good relationship with customers so this never again occurs or happens?

get more than 6 post and you need good 6 not stupid stuff and never do business on the first day you registered, so you probably have to wait
3247  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (Very) small investment opportunity - check it out on: October 13, 2012, 09:54:03 PM
bitcoin magic, this man sounds like one to trust.  give him your bits.
Just need one donor, one payment. Not thousands.  You guys act like I'm trying to pull of some big scheme, while I have been nothing but polite. Your quips are not clever, nor are they funny. This kind of behavior is usually exhibited by individuals with a low sense of self-worth.
I'll write this very politely... I can't think of anyone with a lower sense of self worth than someone that begs for money. A person that begs for money is admitting that they have no value, and hiding the fact that they are begging for money is confirmation of this.

I would feel sorry for you , but frankly, you just aren't worth it.

I wasn't begging, fuck head! Its called a proposition. Google it. By your logic, anyone who goes to a company looking for an investment is akin to a hobo. After all, they're begging for that money, RIGHT? Feeling sort of like a re re yet? Furthermore, the whole idea was that the benefactor would be paid back double, assuming that things went well, which thereby negates your whole point. If you knew how to read you would have already figured out that I work my ass off IRL, so don't go there. I said from the very beginning that -of course- you have no way of knowing if you could trust me. I was just trying to see if there was some guy or gal here with oodles and oodles of bitcoin that wouldn't really mind if they lost a small bit. There's a word for that too - "sharing." Google it. Also, you need Jesus, or something. Why the hell would you lash out at me when I didn't do anything to you or anyone else? Why is everyone so hostile in this bitch? Yeesh!

after that little rant I bet so many people will be willing to send you money LOL sarcasm google it

you do realize that they don't claim to support that site, so I don't know how you can use them together.

3250  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: popular web frameworks for bitcoin development? on: October 13, 2012, 09:19:56 AM
i stick with pure php

i would like to use php as well for an experimental project, just to keep it simple

are there any frameworks/guidelines to building a bitcoin friendly site in php?

the successful bitcoin sites i've seen usually have these attributes:

* they accept bitcoins by given each unique user a unique wallet to send money to
* they allow for anonymous, tokenized access

You will probably want to use this http://jsonrpcphp.org/ and unqiue address for every transaction is the standard, when you want to start figuring out who send the transfer that is when things get difficult.

3252  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to host a bitcoind server? on: October 13, 2012, 03:11:35 AM
Pretty much all the major hacks involved some idiot running bitcoind on a server they did not have physical custody of.

The linode employee who uses their admin interface to steal $80,000 or $250,000 bucks worth of bitcoins doesn't seem to give two shits for any "we will not steal your data" policies their employer might have in their terms of service. There is not really much if any evidence they would give any more or less shits about $80 worth or even $8 worth. (Thought they might lurk watching the small ones, watching for the right moment to catch the wallet at a peak of its value...)

-MarkM-

you do realize in the linode hacks the wallet wasn't encrypted either js

1: I already said I don't want some d-bag to use my idea
2: What difference would it make if I had a thousand posts? That doesn't prove I'm trustworthy
3: If I had a way to pay it back, why would I need it in the first place?
3b: I also said I would try to pay it back eventually.

I'm not coming in here begging, I'm not raising hell and making demands. I simply asked, very politely, if anyone was willing to fork it over, under the condition that they'll either get a 200+% return on it, or nothing. I'm not hurting anyone by asking.

If you don't believe me, you think this all some master scheme I cooked up, fine. I. can't say I blame you. Either you want to help me or you don't, it's as simple as that. There's no way I can prove who I am or what I'm doing, all I have is my anonymous, typed word.

Well good luck cause you will never get any money, this way. The trustworthy isn't in the post number, it is in how long they have been around and even then those people have a hard time, with out any transaction records. I think you need to post an ID with a picture of yourself with your account username on a piece of paper so we know it is you.
3256  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to host a bitcoind server? on: October 12, 2012, 10:35:07 PM
Very few know how to keep your bitcoin secure on a server, so It's best to keep it separate and off-site from the main server.

It just takes some research and securing bitcoind is pretty easy, if you know linux. It is best to have a front end machine that does all the web stuff, and bitcoind on it's own vps.
3257  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to host a bitcoind server? on: October 12, 2012, 10:31:38 PM
That is why you have to read TOS, and privacy policies
Have you ever seen at least one web hosting company who takes any liability in its terms of service?! Grin

Liability has nothing to do with this, but if you look at the TOS and privacy policy most web hosting companies can't access your server with out your permission or they need to have a cause to look at the files on it. Also I would never host a hot wallet, from a home network, this just opens you up hackers, where they can get at more of your bitcoins.
3258  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (Very) small investment opportunity - check it out on: October 12, 2012, 10:22:29 PM
I know what you mean about not wanting to get ripped off. I understand completely. But you I'm afraid you are incorrect - family's poor too, friend thing is not an option, people around here are to shifty.

Still open to potential donors. You never know, maybe you'll double it up. It doesn't have to be 1.50, I just threw that out there for the sake of even numbers. I actually only need 1.3165, but whatever

Peace

So what your saying is you need 1.3165 but you can't tell us what these coins will be used for, also don't you have ID or something like that you can scan and post to the forum so we know your a college student and not some 40 yr trying to scam.
3259  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where to host a bitcoind server? on: October 12, 2012, 08:49:29 PM
I host bitcoind on my home PC. Never trust Bitcoin wallet to the hosting company!

That is why you have to read TOS, and privacy policies, but if your power or internet goes down then your service is kinda done.
