3241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Investment | I NEED HELP on: December 08, 2020, 01:30:30 AM
~
It's not betting, it's an investment. And yes, nothing, not just in gambling, can guarantee you a 100% profit. I doubt OP doesn't know that. An investment in the first place is something like a regulated risk to earn a profit, and additionally, most of the sites recommended are ones that have been tried and tested, just look at the 2 forum posts on the reply after OP, those are hard evidence of how the investments go.

Well, I only know bustadice and bitvest, but well, good luck on your venture OP. Maybe you can try posting a forum post about updates on your investment to let others learn/experience investments in gambling sites.
Investing is different from gambling just to be clear, the difference is that when you gamble, you are losing money over time while investing is the other way. If you stay long enough to the investment which you should do, it will guarantee you a profit. If you are an investor, the risk does not fall upon you because you are prioritized by the company to be paid back of your investment, and if the website is tried and tested, wouldn't that mean that it guarantees a profit. I only knew three websites and all of them are already mentioned which speaks volume about the reputation of those websites.
3242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japan becomes more friendly towards Gambling on: December 08, 2020, 12:51:40 AM
It could be a way to attract tourists to come to Japan. Perhaps, the government realizes that the gambling industry is one of the big industries contributing taxes in a big amount. So the government can try to increase the tax income that they can get from the gambling industries. Besides that, if Japan allows gambling, many gamblers will visit Japan, and they can enjoy the Japanese culture while also playing gambling in that country.

That way can help the country to have money for recovering from post covid. We hope that their policies will bring fresh air into the gambling industry. But it needs more regulation to control people who will allow to playing gambling because that can attract young tourists or local young people to try to playing gambling.
If this attracts tourists and since there is no taxation in their winnings, I think that most tourist attraction will raise their prices to accommodate this loss in taxes for gambling. The country already recovered so I think that this is just a long term plan to make Japan a gambling hub like Macau or Hongkong. Pretty strange that they lax their policies when it comes to gambling when most of their citizens suffer from strict regulations like pachinkos not directly paying players with money, instead they give them metal balls to go to an exchange which is a hassle but hey, there will be a reform.
3243  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Crypto Valley of Asia Itinatayo sa Pilipinas on: December 07, 2020, 11:12:36 AM
Realistically speaking, probably little to no problems in the short-mid term since hindi pa naman ganun ka lawak ang adoption ng bitcoin(or crypto) dito sa Pinas. Once it gets big enough though, once it gets to the point and they find out na maraming gumagamit ng bitcoin(or crypto) to probably circumvent taxes, expect things to tighten up a bit.
3244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Poker Probability Texas Hold 'Em on: December 07, 2020, 10:10:00 AM
I already made a table for 5 hand poker, and here I am, back at it again with the most famous type of poker game, Texas Hold 'Em or 7 hand poker. There isn't much intro so I will just show you the table. I will also add the same additional notes since they are essentially the same.
Hand____________Frequency__Probability__Cumulative__Odds against
Royal Flush4,3240.0032%0.0032% 30,939 : 1
Straight Flush37,260.0279%0.0311%3,589.6 : 1
Four of a Kind224,8480.168%0.199%594 : 1
Full House3,473,1842.60%2.80%35.7 : 1
Flush4,047,6443.03%5.82%32.1 : 1
Straight6,180,0204.62%10.4%20.6 : 1
Three of a Kind 6,461,6204.83%15.3%19.7 : 1
Two Pair31,433,40023.5%38.8%3.26 : 1
One Pair58,627,80043.8%82.6%1.28 : 1
No Pair/ High Card23,294,46017.4%100%4.74 : 1

I will point it out right now, the Frequency of Two Pair and One Pair is higher than Zilch, compared to 5 hand poker the which increases as the value of the hand decreases. This must be the reason why Texas Hold 'Em Poker is the tournament choice for poker.

Additional Notes
Cumulative probability refers to the probability of drawing a hand as good as or better than the specified one. For example, the probability of drawing three of a kind is approximately 2.11%, while the probability of drawing a hand at least as good as three of a kind is about 2.87%. The cumulative probability is determined by adding one hand's probability with the probabilities of all hands above it.
Odds are defined as the ratio of the number of ways not to draw the hand, to the number of ways to draw it. In statistics, this is called odds against. For instance, with a royal flush, there are 4 ways to draw one, and 2,598,956 ways to draw something else, so the odds against drawing a royal flush are 2,598,956 : 4, or 649,739 : 1. The formula for establishing the odds can also be stated as (1/p) - 1 : 1, where p is the aforementioned probability.
Straight Flush is different from Royal Flush which is comprised of 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace while the former is comprised of the other card numbers.
Flush is different from Straight Flush and Royal Flush where Straight Flush and Royal Flush has a condition that there is a order of cards of the same suit whereas Flush just needs to have the same suit.
Straight is different from Straight Flush and Royal Flush where both has the condition of Same suit and order for both hands, Straight on the other hand just needs to be in order even if not the same suit.

3245  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Withdrawal Fees Rise (!?)|| November 2020 on: December 07, 2020, 08:21:51 AM
If they do not raise their withdrawal fee together with the price increase of Bitcoin then they will not last in the business world. It is fair in my opinion, they do need to support their staffs after all and maintaining a website is no joke. It won't be a problem if you are a patron and a high roller, you will not feel the increase.
3246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buy virtual card with bitcoin on: December 07, 2020, 07:42:28 AM
To be honest, receiving prepaid cards without documents is very strange and risky, since you do not know where the card was created and on what conditions, and even more so you have no guarantees that your money will be safe, but if you still decide on this, it is very necessary check the license of the company that will issue you the card as well as the agreement confirming that they cooperate with Visa and Mastercard
That is the problem that I see too, without identity verification, cards that are sent to you might be dubious and in the worst case, the card might be a fraud and using it might link back to you and in the end you will be the one on the court stand proving your innocence. I do not think that any reputable card companies will do this without KYC as we all know, they love to know more about us so they bomabard us with ads about deals that promote the use of their cards.
3247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What you should need to consider before trading cryptocurrencies? on: December 07, 2020, 06:59:09 AM
That's the problem we have been seen in today's time. People are eager to invest all their precious savings without much proper knowledge which backfires on them.
Assumption that everyone invests everything they have is not that likely, maybe it happens because news coverage around the world covers stories about this but I think that they are only a small percentage of the population, remember Bitconnect and OneCoin, that is some of the examples. I think the real problem is not knowledge but lack of mentorship and lone wolf attitude, without mentors, you will be navigating the investing path blind and being lone wolf is bad thing because you do not have information that might come from others that may help you in the future.
3248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How tricky is this? on: December 07, 2020, 06:19:14 AM
On reading the OP, I am reminded of The gamblers fallacy as something similar to this in a broader perspective.

The gambler thinks that they are going to win on the next game but that next game never happens to be a win. Possibility of a win is there mathematically but in reality it is just luck when you are playing against the odds that is an EV- game.

Hence I think every gambler should think logically which many of them cant do anymore and limit the amount of bankroll being spent.

I do not think that it has anything to do with luck, the casinos just mask the word probability to deter doubts from casino players. You said it already, the possibility to win is mathematically which cancels out the involvement of luck, sure we consider it luck but have we ever consider the definition of luck or consider its existence. If gamblers think logically then luck is not their go to for reliance when playing.
3249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 07, 2020, 05:42:37 AM
Tyson -Jones success owed it because of the cause, this MAYWEATHER -Paul fight is not going to be entertaining knowing that Paul has a limited boxing skill, nothing to be expected on this one, but to give our money to Floyd who likes to make a cash cow on these amateurs, he should get back and fight Pacquiao or anyone between Spence or Crawford.
If Pacquaio versus Mayweather happens again, I think that it will be the same as the last time. Let's give Logan some slack in this fight because miracles happen and they happen at unexpected turn of events. Bookies will be the only winners of this fight to be honest.
3250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BBC Sports Personality 2020 on: December 07, 2020, 05:06:37 AM
Lewis Hamilton remains the favorite now. Meanwhile, Tyson Fury has rejected his nomination for the award, saying that he doesn't wish to be in the short list. He requested BBC to take him off the list (which was rejected by the broadcaster). BTW, the voting has also opened for the BBC World Sport Star 2020 award, with Lebron James and Armand Duplantis being the favorites.
Knowing that UK is known for their love of football, I would say it will be Jordan Henderson or cricketer Stuart Broad as my second best. Too bad, Tyson has to drop out, his story is something that evokes emotions.
3251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 07, 2020, 04:19:15 AM
Of course, this is more on money exhibition fight here.  Tongue Did they disclose where the proceeds will go? At least make this exhibition fight a worthwhile one for others.
With Floyd Mayweather, I do not think that there will be any charities, you know that his moniker is "Money". The thing about this exhibition fight is it will be a highlight of young guns versus the old guns. To be honest, this fight will be boring because I know how Floyd plays.
3252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will Bookmakers Suspend/Restrict My Account if I Profit in the Long Term? on: December 07, 2020, 03:41:03 AM
If such sportsbook exist, you can think they are scammers.

They might limit the maximum bet they'll accept but they will not scam you even if you are wining. It's expected that there are some people who makes money in gambling, especially in sports betting but as long as gambling sites stays profitable, they can accommodate the winners.
If the OP does win big amounts of money over time, I think that it will raise some eyebrows for the casino because they can't profit from him/her. I do not reputable sites will just lock your account out of nowhere but the scummy thing about locking is that they do not explain the reason behind and most of the replies from them are soulless and repetitive like they do not want to help the player, if they can change that aspect of things then it will probably change my mind.
3253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone who have worked or currently working in casino? on: December 06, 2020, 09:18:30 AM
I don't think that casino staff could help and offer any more insights than anyone else. People either have strong or weak characters. Those with stronger characters will realize that they have a problem and stop. Weak-minded people will keep going, trying to profit where they can't, and dig their own graves a little bit deeper every time.

Gambling is a leisure activity and should never be considered as a job or a safe way to make money. The hardest thing to do is to recognize you have a problem. Once you do that and stop lying to yourself, you can start looking for a way out. Many gamblers, unfortunately, never arrive at this stage and keep telling themselves I am fine, I don't have a problem.
They can be of help to be honest. If they share some secrets here that might be exploitable if that information landed on the right hands. I agree in regards to people, but I do not think that they are weak minded, this so called "weak minded" gamblers are the same as any other person, they know deep inside that they are addicted but they can't stop, like how cigarette smokers can't stop smoking even though they know that it is bad. It is easy to say that these people are weak minded because we are not in their shoes.
3254  Economy / Gambling discussion / A game called Ending on: December 05, 2020, 01:45:39 PM
Has anyone here have heard of the game "Ending"? It is a well known game in my country, usually basketball is involved in the game. The basics of the game is you will bet on the last number of the scoreboard, for example, Team A and Team B played and Team A won, the scoreboard is 109-108 which means that someone who bets on 9-8 will win. That is the gist of the game, I am not familiar that much because I am not a fan of basketball. There is a bookie that will list the bettors, most bookies go around the neighborhood to find bettors and some of them are patrons. It dawned to me for awhile and I was curious if there is a crypto counterpart of this game.
3255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Chinese Quantum Computer breakthrough - should we be concerned? on: December 05, 2020, 09:13:45 AM

There is one that I can find that says that QC's can break although it will be in the near future. That is a pretty good counter to my Quantum Computer fanatic ass to be honest. I would love to have the discussion get further but I think we agree on the same page about blockchain not getting attacked. This is me waving the white flag ):

Link: https://www.technologyreview.com/2019/05/30/65724/how-a-quantum-computer-could-break-2048-bit-rsa-encryption-in-8-hours/

Cars in outerspace is not completely useless, they are moving at orbital speed and they can have add ons in that machine like thrusters, if there is no traction find a way to make the machine functional.
3256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Chinese Quantum Computer breakthrough - should we be concerned? on: December 05, 2020, 08:15:24 AM
D-Wave has made a quantum computer with 5000 qubits. Can it be used to crack symmetrical cryptography? No, it can't use Shor's algorithm as intended and it isn't really a true quantum computer.

If they have really achieved such a quantum computer, I can guarantee you personally that they won't bother to attack any blockchain technology. TLS and web encryption are the treasure trove to them. Getting a bunch of Bitcoins from old addresses with exposed public key is NOT worth their time at all, believe or not.

Anyways, you can always implement quantum resistant algorithm and it is not too hard to fork it.
It might not be able to do it for now but trust me, quantum computer do cryptography. You are being ignorant about the speed of each qubit. It can attack blockchain unfortunately, if it can't do that algorithm, the operator can just create that algorithm and make it compatible with the quantum computer. I do understand the dismissal because we haven't seen the speed of an actual quantum computer and for that reason we simply underestimate the ability on paper. It will be the least thing to worry about quantum computers, most early stage quantum computer will be used for military and aeronautics purposes like ICBM trajectory calculation to help in making a counter attack or space launch and rocket landings on different heavenly bodies.
3257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto in Asia: Top developments for 2021 on: December 05, 2020, 07:22:08 AM
Indeed! JAPAN was the first country in the world to adopt and legalize cryptocurrencies. However, Asia is quite large and Japan, Korea or China doesn't represent the whole Asia. Becaus while Japan and Korea are the front runner in cryptocurrency market. There are regressive countries in Asia, who are still confused on what to do or busy in playing divide and rule politics!

The silver lining is that, despite the odds and regressive governance, people of Asia have adopted cryptocurrencies in a very positive way except few anomalies. I hope that with developments in pipeline, will somewhat change the dynamics of crypto market in Asia and with DBS adoption of cryptocurrency, will bring it to the common mass.

Fingers crossed!
I think that it is a fair opinion. They are the leading countries in Asia so it is instinctive that they are the one in the list. I agree that they are not the only country but if you were to combine their power in economics, I think that it can be a good competitor. I think the regressive governance is a good thing for bitcoin communities in Asia because they have their sights not on progress which helps the individuals. I would second your idea that the dynamics will develop because Asia is the biggest continent and a population to back it up, this will be the reason for mainstream adoption.
3258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulation possible? Regulation Inevitable? on: December 05, 2020, 06:30:32 AM
I dont think Bitcoin will become mainstream as a currency.
I suspect there could be a new player that adapts the bitcoin philosophy and method and becomes mainstream.
Bitcoin was the innovator but I think it will be overtaken. A bit like how AOL, alta vista etc got overtaken.
It will be a difficult endeavor for a predecessor replicate the success of bitcoin, by the time that something new appears, people will not take notice of it because they are already hooked in bitcoin, the only possible thing that can happen is that something far better and superior at every aspect will appear. It will be hard to imagine how it will be more superior than bitcoin but it will be difficult.
3259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government don't accept Bitcoin. on: December 05, 2020, 05:44:58 AM
I do not know what to say about this because the government is involved and as you said state police also. You can use VPN to at the very least mask your identity, or use a fully configurated virtual machine and then there you will start using VPN. The most difficult part in this is masking your real location. You can't explain it to them cause as you already know that the authorities as you see is behind the crackdown.
3260  Economy / Economics / Re: What inflation lol?? on: December 05, 2020, 05:00:05 AM
Did the government release some inflation numbers recently or what?  I don't watch the news, so I tend to miss all of that data.

Everything I tend to buy on a regular basis has stayed the same price for quite a while, so I haven't personally noticed any inflation.  Gas is even cheaper than it has been for a decade.

OP, are you in the US?  How do you know what Biden plans to do as far as economic policy goes?  If you created this thread because of something you heard or read, you should provide a link--otherwise what you wrote is near incomprehensible.
If you do not feel the inflation then that is a good thing in my opinion, the price of goods and services increases but at the same time the value of the currency is increases. I do not think that OP will provide links to what he/she read, this is just a baseless CNN BS type of post that does not invoke a healthy discussion but a shitstorm of arguments.
