An OG with 50k coins will have more power than most countries do now. ~150 of them will have half the world's wealth. By far the most people will not have any money at all. Bitcoin will bring about a new feudal technocracy. But first, complete chaos.
That very well may be, but how exactly would you exert that wealth without spending precious bitcoin and thereby, reducing your bitcoin stash? Bitcoin lending? Why would some lend a deflationary asset? Borrowing cash against your btc stash? That can turn ugly at 80% drawdown. Bitcoin interest-a ridiculous idea that is not even practical without someone rehypothicating bitcoin, which should be a bad habit. I am close to 100% certain that blockFi will kick the bucket at one point or another. You could do lending crypto to crypto with a smart contract with assets put on the line as collateral but of course this would need to be all cleared by the government as binding before anyone would risk it. Yes, my point is that you cannot do anything without spending or somehow lending it out, so OGs will have difficulty influencing much, unless some secondary markets develop. The disinflation won't go on for ever and things will level out. Then they will spend, lend and give out. They will invest in businessmen's projects for equity and or profit share.

Ach you plagiarised a post in your early days. You need to prove you were an asset to the forum. I remember some of your posts in the WO and they were not bad at all. Maybe they forgive you - that's all the rage. http://loyce.club/Merit/history/1221497.htmlgood merit history (despite QA's helping hand) got you to senior member

I added a more precisely computed timing, detailed scenario chart. And this is scary and also I think this is the most likely outcome. I really think we are going to $78k within this week! WTF!
I hope Last of the V8s can add this last update to his update of the update of the update of the BCTalk thread. Because this is the most shocking of the scenarios and it precisely matches (proportionally scaled) the timing and moves in 2010/2011.
I promise that is the last one. This crazy price action coming could potentially destroy many exchanges. And the likely reason for a potential nosedive from $78,000 to $1700 as depicted on the above linked chart!
I hope I’m incorrect! Yikes Thanks a bunch Shelby

Trouble with Bitcoin is it's far more disruptive than any of us realised. Many of us are still stuck with fiat-based visions of the future. But money is real now, at long last. You can't go pouring huge gobs of fake money into futuristic projects any more. You will lose your chance to buy more bitcoin and thereby to have any power or influence. An OG with 50k coins will have more power than most countries do now. ~150 of them will have half the world's wealth. By far the most people will not have any money at all. Bitcoin will bring about a new feudal technocracy. But first, complete chaos.

meh i raise you Meanwhile the Intel "optimization" induced data leaks keep rolling in (archived). The ongoing Intel optimization fraud has lead Google to disable Intel's "Hyperthreading" in their ChromeOS spyware with other vendors considering similar measures (archived).

Yeah I know there other sites and I go to them, but I was used to the bitcoinwisdom one for a long time. Believe it or not, I made an error. This is the page I was referring to, it is a top choice when I type "Bitcoin Difficulty" into google: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficultyThis is what needs to be kept updated. I agree everyone should know your mind and they should run around providing what you need. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5091665.0follow that thread for difficulty projections and the sites to use now - some of the later pages

very interesting read. for a low performance brain like mine, to keeping up with shelby would require me to hire several secretaries and researchers. he can type faster that i can read. must use some sort of water cooled keyboard. and he wonders why his health suffers i veer between being supportive and being annoyed anyway, comparing is not good for one your brain is aok mine too. decided to open a bottle of last year's Beaujolais i found lurking and an account on Bittrex finally

further updoot edit: further update of the update I also added another more detail price projection scenario chart. Might help if someone displays (not just link) one or both of these images in the BCTalk thread.
