of course, I even used bitcoin to pay for my college tuition. well, probably the result of my income with bitcoin is not so much, but it really helped me in my life to meet the needs of everyday. Well, I just hope that I can make bitcoin be more, because bitcoin might help me to buy a house for the future
wow, that is great. I am also a college student. I am earning bitcoin to help me to fulfill my daily life because I am living far away from my family to study in a college. for now, I have some books I bought by bitcoin, but I should convert it to fiat first. at least it helps some needs to be fulfilled.

actually I am not really sure about the idea "bitcoin replace fiat", it sounds scary because when everybody use cryptocurrency, I do not know, it is probably not good.
so I prefer bitcoin is able to be used by some people around the world only. just imo.

it is not a good time to send bitcoin, unless you pay higher fee. so it is better to wait some time.
well, as long as I do transaction, I have never wait until 24 hours for a transaction. the longest transaction time I have ever had is about an hour only.

It is very possible to hack your bitcoin account many hacker try and practice to do it. No system is safe even though it has many security features it cam be crack. And also dont click on shorten links it maybe a phising site were if u log in ur id info and pass it well send to their number or email. Thats other way of being wallet is hackable.
it is possible, yes. just like the past hacker who hacked an exchange (if I am not mistaken). but it needs high level of hacking competence, of course. you need skill to be able to hack bitcoin which is known as unhackable system.

Some entity is spamming the network with thousands of transactions.
Don't worry, the 1MB anti-spam feature is doing it's job protecting every Bitcoin user now and forever by preventing this entity's spam from bloating the block chain. They know this, will give up soon, and everything will return to normal.
If you need a fast confirmation in the meantime, simply pay a higher fee than the spam.
good news (about anti-spam feature). at least the problem is processed even it will not be so fast. so it is not a good time to send bitcoin. well I think the spammer has a purpose to do that. I do not know what the purpose is, just be careful anyone. lucky me, I did not send bitcoin last month.

Why doesn't Wikipedia accept Bitcoin as a donation? I just checked all methods, and Bitcoin is not one. If you want this to change, perhaps drop them a note: donate@wikimedia.orgI think there are two possible answers of your question. the first one is wikipedia dev do not know the advantages of accepting bitcoin as donation, and the second one is they already thought many times about it and they did not find the advantages of accepting bitcoin is better than the disadvantages. imo. cmiiw

What's preventing Bitcoins from being accepted as mainstream payment forms? I'm working on a new blockchain and would like to learn what drawbacks of Bitcoin urgently need to be improved I think it is because of long time waiting for transaction confirmation. bitcoin technology is already good, but some people are not comfortable to wait at least 30 minutes when they do transaction because probably they need the thing they want to buy, but it will take long to get it because the seller will only give the stuff when it is already paid.

didnt remembered maybe around 2 bitcoin till now. its really funny that i actully can not save a little peny normally but while being a trader help me save my very much money which also i spend but as a huge capital
wow, it is a big amount anyway. I myself forgot how much butcoin I spent on the internet, but it is less than $20 because I bought some stuff I did not find it online, so I bought it around here like books, shirt, etc. I just exchange my bitcoin into fiat and buy some stuff.
|
|
|
actually I prefer to spend my time some hours on this forum making money by posting on some threads rather than learning trading or mining because I am just a students. I have many things to learn. so my brain is full enough to learng trading or mining or gamble. besides, learning them needs months even years. so I think it would be better if I earn bitcoin and open a business. it would be more profitable I think.

If I'm not mistaken switzerland is a rich country. so if they adopt bitcoin as currency, probably it will be easier for them to be more rich. well OP said "let's open bank account with BTC in Switzerland". is it possibble to make bank account online? because I am far away from Switzerland. haha

My guess is that we are largely looking at tech-savvy millenials, so 21 to 35 would be my intuition. I myself fit into that range.
almost right. I myself is 20 years old. and probably there are bitcoin users who are still teenagers. and OP himself is 36. so I think it would be better to say around 15-40. well it is possible that there are another users who are in 40 years above. but I don't think they are many people.

i heard many Cryptocurrency but why people mostly use bitcoin?
because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency I know. it's probably the main reason why I prefer bitcoin than another cryptocurrency. besides, bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency and the first one. it also can reach high price although it can be the lowr one, and many exchanges for bitcoin than another cryptocurrency.

well I don't spend my bitcoin much in the internet. I just spent a little bitcoin in internet to buy credit to connect to internet.
most of my bitcoin I use to buy some books and my daily needs because I am a student who is living far from my family, so I look for money (read bitcoin) to fulfill some needs.
besides, there are not many online shops here in my country accept bitcoin as payment. that's why I didn't spend much bitcoin on internet.

What do you guys think it would happen if all the governments in the world declared bitcoin to be illegal? How do you think the community would react? What could be the possible solutions?
If I am not mistaken, many countries declare that bitcoin is illegal, but bitcoin users from those countries still use bitcoin. so I think it's their reaction. actually if governments announce punishment of illegal bitcoin, I think some people will abandon bitcoin, but I don't think many people will do that.

Since bitcoin is an internet currency that can be turn into a actual money. And Bitcoin too is known on Government but still government can't observe bitcoin that good. So I'm thinking if Bitcoin has tax??
Edit: Now I know that bitcoin doesn't have tax but Transaction does.. Where do these Tax go?Government? And what kind of tax is it??
if you mean transaction fee, I think it goes to miners because they confirm the transaction. the fees goes to the pool who process the transaction first. after that the fees are devided for each miner in the pool. that's explanation from my friend when I first knew about bitcoin.

Singapore is one of the most Bitcoin-friendly Surprised not to see china in this list however government doesn't seem to care much about bitcoin mining farms situated in china and you can see majority of buying volume coming from china which suggest china being one of the bitcoin blooming country. I'm also surprised not to see China on the list because as many people say China "controls" bitcoin and many miners are Chinese. probably there is another problem we don't know about china. I think Russia is also bitcoin friendly country because there are a lot of shops accepting bitcoin there.

I guess It's better to quote the creator of BTC in this case from : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48.msg329#msg329Right. Otherwise we couldn't have a finite limit of 21 million coins, because there would always need to be some minimum reward for generating. In a few decades when the reward gets too small, the transaction fee will become the main compensation for nodes. I'm sure that in 20 years there will either be very large transaction volume or no volume.
I don't think that one million dollar is achievable or likely to happen personally but It could be with people losing their coins and halving block reward each four years. if the founder said that, then it is possible bitcoin will still exist 20 years later. but I am not really sure because anything may happen. probably the price will up even on the top, or it could be the lower even die, or the other cryptocurrency will change it. we don't know exactly, we just can predict it, but the percentage of it is not 100%.

Besides using it as a currency it seems like its impossible to make money off of bitcoins unless you already have some serious cash , mining bitcoins is long done nd over with nd its seems like trading/exchange doesnt give you much of a profit , so im just wonding as someone just now arriving to this dead party whats there to do with bitcoin ?
Holding & waiting till the price raise over the years is probably the best option, of course, there are some other possibilities like opening a faucet etc... but It requires some investment. I prefer to recommend you to save and wait until the price goes up as I saw your rank is still newbie so you need to learn more about bitcoin. and open a new business is a good idea also. you can sell things for bitcoins. many people do that here. you can see that on Goods section in this forum.

Well I don't think that whether satoshi appears finally or not matters to the bitcoin price. If he appears - great. Nobody will no for sure that he is the original satoshi nakamoto anyways. If he dumps his coins, alright. Cheaper coins for us to buy in. If he doesn't appear, doesn't matter. Bitcoin is already working fine.
I also don't think satoshi will appear that easy. I mean he needs to think few times before consider to appear. and if he appears, it depends on him whether he wants to pump or dump the coins. I mean, he is the creator of bitcoin, so it is easy for him to do that because he knows bitcoin well than us.
