complaining that my previous estimates were too optimistic?
No, no, your previous estimates of October, November, December, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September were quite accurate!

hey, John is a good guy. i've gotten to know him a bit better over the last 2 wks and he is a hard worker. he was up maybe 24 hrs straight the other nite trying to get orders through and deal with the cart.
He's working non-stop to take people's money? Wow, that is so unusual!

As painful as this delay has been for me (still waiting on my June 26 withdrawl from MtGox), it's good for the economy. Having only 1 primary exchange is trouble. It's good to see BitStamp volume equal to MtGox. I'm enjoying CampBX with low fees and quick withdrawls, so I hope their volume improves too and I can send more business their way.

PSUs - 2 day delivery item Cases - have been sampled, probably a one week delivery item. Not everyone bought a case PCBs - 5 day turn item.
There isn't anything here that Terrahash can't get their hands on, in large quantities, in a timely fashion.
Assuming nothing goes wrong, which it always does. Bitfury thought they had PCBs. Turns out the factory forgot 2 of the layers. Things can and will go wrong. Unless the items are already physically at TH, they are a risk factor.

Boycott Pre-Orders!
Pre-orders are fine when there is adequate consumer protection in place. Unfortunately, most ASIC vendors do not have it.

TerraHash has all the other parts necessary to build/ship/deliver other than Avalon chips?
No they do not. 1. PSUs: Not in2. Cases: Not in3. PCBs: Not in4. BOM components: Yes!

Speaking of vanity addresses, I imported the private key for my nice firstbits vanity address and have been using it on my phone for a few months now. Is that vanity address now basically unusable?

I can honestly say that I'm not happy about the wording change to "anticipated" - Sigh.
Since they won't give refunds until January, they actually anticipate to ship well past October.

You can't cancel your order at this point for a refund, they just denied my request.
Don't give up. Call Paypal and explain how BFL is violating the Paypal Terms of Service.

Meanwhile, Josh goes to put in a bid for more advertising on these forums.
Don't go spending money until everyone gets a refund, Inaba.
Actually, they need new customers to pay for the refunds.

Also ask whether the psu's are external. There's been no confirmation, only assumption.
https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-28The small slot at the front is to accommodate one 5V and multiple 12V power connections from the external PSU as well as the RJ45 for Ethernet and a USB.
Seems pretty clear to me.

I consider buying one Avalon from batch 2. Can anybody tell me is there some warranty for Avalons? I'm just wondering what would happen if it brokes in a month or two.
Avalons are DIY. There is no Customer Support. There is no Warranty Service. You are on your own.

if you were in a datacenter you would see all the odd crap that are in racks
While not ideal, as long as it draws air in front-to-back, and there's room for the external power supply on a 19" width, it'll be fine in a rack.

Much like I told Flying Hellfish, once you become an adult, you will realize that reality (and the rest of the world) does not care about you. Reality is what it is, you can accept it or deny it, but it will still be reality.
The reality is that because of BFL's inability to ramp up production, out of the bitcoin network's 400 TH/s, BFL hardware is a minuscule portion.

|
|
The network hashrate seems to be going up in lockstep with the amount of hashrate we are shipping out, give or take a slight deviation.
Care to back up such a claim with any sort of proof?

Still waiting on my SC July 15 order..
Ouch. And we just hit 50M difficulty. Let's see what an expert has to say about ROI. I know, for my part, I would not want a device that runs at 200w at 60 GH/s - it would never see a positive ROI.

THIS IS VERY blah blah blah
And the spamming has begun. Thanks KnC.

A lot of US circuits are 15A @ 120V. Continuous load should stay under 80%. So 15 * 120 * .8 = 1440 watts max.

How do I get a refund if I paid by bitcoin?
My biggest financial lost so far, I didn't listen when people said BFL was a scam.
Call them up and tell them how hard their delays have been on you, and let them know you'll be filing reports with the Attorney General and FTC if they refuse to honor your refund request.

Hearing about small delays up-front (rather than weeks later) is a nice breath of fresh air. Keep up with the good communication.
