3261  Economy / Economics / Re: "Humans will not be replaced by robots very soon" --- yeah right !!! on: October 12, 2020, 03:24:18 AM
I think humans will be replaced by robots earlier thank we think, because look at the the big manufacturing and assembly industries almost 80% of the work are handled by robots, now if you look at the latest trading like the self driving cars what the you think is that?

If you want, I can send you the copies of some articles from well known newspapers in the 1980s, where they argued that the introduction of computer will make everyone jobless. This sort of FUD is normally vomited by some extreme-left politicians, to create obstacles for technological innovation. So far, technology has benefited the human kind massively. Those who are against technological innovation is against human well being.
3262  Economy / Economics / Re: Not enough Corona Virus Vaccine until 2024, at earliest on: October 12, 2020, 03:14:12 AM
Without vaccine we will for almost sure not see Bitcoin at $20k this year. Next year we for almost certainly will. A lot of things would need to happen for Bitcoin not reach $20k in 2021.

The economy has been restarted in most countries and if the trend continues, then the market recovery will start from early next year. In that case, the introduction of the vaccine is not going to have much impact. Also, even if the vaccine is available, it is going to take at least 6 months to vaccinate all the 7.5 billion people who are living in this planet.
3263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 12, 2020, 02:57:50 AM
It's tough to predict which team would have won if the bails fell and if Rahul got out. Do you remember the recent Punjab debacle? They needed 24 runs from 20 balls which was an easier equation and they had around 8 wickets in hand.

Almost everyone predicted Punjab to cruise to a win, but they messed up royally. RR would have been in a worse situation if Rahul got out since bowlers would come out to bat under high pressure. Luck was on RR's side.

KXIP has a habit of losing matches which they could have won easily. On the other hand, so far in this IPL the Rajasthan Royals have won matches from a position in which they were written off (against SRH yesterday, and then against KXIP on 27th September). Among other factors, captaincy also made the difference. People such as Steve Smith and Shreyas Iyer have captained their teams very efficiently so far in this tournament. On the other hand, Rahul and Dhoni were not that impressive.

Just unbelievable. Lord Tewatia did it again. This time around, he got the support from Riyan Parag as well. When Sanju Samson was out, RR was struggling at 78/5. At this point, I thought that RR had zero chance. But then Tewatia had other plans.
You guys seem to be forgetting the fact that both Tewatia and Parag were really lucky since they both got an extra life. Tewatia was bowled, but the bails didn't fall while Parag was dropped in the field. RR had insane luck on their side.

Yeah.. Tewatia was lucky there... the zing bails were glowing, but they didn't fell. But this incident happened in the 18th over (5th ball), and by then RR was almost home. At this point, they needed 23 runs from 14 balls. So even if he had got out, there was a good chance that RR could have won the match. And regarding the dropped catch, I don't think you can blame Parag for that.  Grin
3265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people are buying when the price is going up and not when it is down on: October 11, 2020, 05:44:17 PM
I never purchase any asset when it's price is going down, unless I have a solid reason to decide otherwise. Because from what I have seen so far in my career, it is always best to invest in an asset when the price is recovering. You may have to pay 5% or 10% extra, but you will be sure that the asset will not become completely worthless in near future. Anyway.. different people have different investment strategies..
3266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Now Bounty Program totally worth less !! 90% Bounties are scam on: October 11, 2020, 05:08:44 PM
I recently participated in ClipX bounty program, but I did not notice when they asked for KYC.
These days a lot of scams and people are not even looking for decent rewards, they are searching for any reward just to see if the project is running as promised.

Well.. this is a very common method employed by the campaign managers to cheat the participants of their rewards. Initially they will not mention about the KYC requirement. Only when the campaign is over, or during the last week they will announce that all the participants need to undergo the KYC process. More than 50% of the participants will refuse and the team will keep that much tokens for themselves.
3267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally!! McAfee is arrested in Spain and now facing extradition on: October 11, 2020, 04:49:49 PM
I dont think that he can spend whole life in bars because the man is 75 years old already and maybe at 80 he will be released because of age requirements(i' not sure about this)

Why his age should be a factor here? He committed a serious crime, and therefore he should get the adequate punishment, irrespective of the age, race and gender. Allen Stanford was 62-years old when he was sentenced to 110-years in prison. What McAfee did was much worse than what Stanford did. I expect a minimum of 100 years behind bars for McAfee.
3268  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID19 VACCINE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH? on: October 11, 2020, 04:28:24 PM
The most developed nations will get the vaccine by March- April 2021 all things being equal whereas other developing nations might not get inoculated until 2014 after all vaccines trials there is going to be a mass production while a special designated jumbo jets will be needed to airlift it to different countries which will takes time to be accomplished globally https://www.bbc.com/news/business-54067499  it will takes some few years before the economic growth bounce back globally, but I am quite sure we will get out of the woods within the shortest period of time.

I don't think that it will be that delayed. Donald Trump was saying that he expect the vaccine to be available in the United States from this month onward. He also said that by December, the vaccine should reach the majority of the citizens there. Various European nations were also giving similar timelines. So by mid-2021, I expect most of the world population to be vaccinated.
3269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs. Conor McGregor on: October 11, 2020, 04:16:16 PM
More on gaining money from fans same deal with how McGregor fought Mayweather, promoters are after with the potential fans who loves seeing MMA fighter another legendary boxers.

There's maybe a good show that we will see in case the fight will proceed, but I also agree that the fight will happen inside the boxing and not the MMA ring so the advantage still with Manny.

Well.. that's true. One of the reasons why the odds are so biased against Conor McGregor is due to his poor performance three years ago, when he fought against Floyd Mayweather. Back then also, the odds favored Floyd, but Conor's performance was really bad. On the other hand, Manny is in good form, especially after his win against Thurman.

Yup, Rahul Tewatia is truly a exceptional player, done it again when team needs. It was worth keep watching after 5 wickets. What a come back after 78/5, a brilliant partnership by young telent Tewatia and Parag. Such a splendid rescuer which gives Rajasthan Royals two points today!

Out of the 26 matches completed till now, the team batting second have won only 6 times. 18 out of 26 times, it was the team that batted first which tasted victory and two times it went to super-over. Now out of the 6 matches where the team batting second won, 33% was as a result of Rahul Tewatia. That shows how important he is. SRH tried really hard with their young bowlers... but hard luck...

Can Tewatia do another miracle? RR in pretty bad shape against SRH. They need 65 runs from just 5 overs, with 5 wickets remaining. Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag are currently showcasing their defensive skills, and neither of them have hit a boundary till now. Rashid Khan has one over remaining, and I don't think that RR has much of a chance here. Excellent performance form the SRH bowlers, in defending such a small total.
3273  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: October 11, 2020, 01:10:04 PM
I was wondering the same like why would the prices of food or groceries go up during such times? Because people are storing too much groceries? Well that might be a reason but that would create shortage of items rather than increase in prices.

Thankfully in my country there has been no such problems and while we are hit hard by the covid-19 but there are no stocking problems and people have been really nice to the lower society.

I don't think that people are hoarding. That may have happened during the initial phase of the pandemic, but it stopped when they realized that the shops and supermarkets are going to remain open. Even I stocked as much as I can during March and April. On top of that, online retailers such as Amazon greatly expanded their coverage during the pandemic. A lot of people shifted to online retailers from local shops.
3274  Economy / Economics / Re: Rise in US unemployment. Thoughts? on: October 11, 2020, 12:59:24 PM
I don’t know where you got your statistics from, but the reality for many western countries is very different from that picture. COVID damages are far from healed, and in many sectors, I hardly doubt it will be enough to wait for 5 years.
Longer, If we include in the damages the gargantuan amount of new debt in our economies.

The impact from COVID 19 will be there for many years to come. But that doesn't mean that we should shut down our economy and stay at home. The economy needs to be restarted. As you said, many of the businesses are in huge debt, and closer to bankruptcy. If they don't do business, then the owners will slip further into debt and this situation is not going to benefit anyone.
3275  Other / Politics & Society / Re: All Christian Countries Got Fucked! on: October 11, 2020, 12:37:45 PM
One of the reasons for the opposition between the two countries is religion 95% of the people of Armenia are Christians. Where 98 percent of the people in the neighboring state of Azerbaijan are Muslims. the Muslim state of Azerbaijan in Asia is very angry with the religion of the Christian state. But then it is back to normal so that no one can take away the freedom and peace that we as Muslims and Christians enjoy.

Around 100 years ago, 30% of the population of Turkey was Christian (mostly Armenian, Greek and Assyrian). Then the Ottomans massacred all the Christian minorities there. Now less than 0.1% of the population is Christian. On the other hand, the proportion of the Muslims in the former Russian Empire (up to 1917) was lower than what it is now. The fighting between Armenia and Azerbaijan is an extension of the Armenian genocide of 1918. The Christian population is declining due to massacres and low birth rate, while the Muslim population is increasing due to high birth rate and immigration. Now the target is Armenia. The next targets will be Georgia, Southern part of Russia, Cyprus, Greece and Macedonia. Do you think that Erdogan will be satisfied with just Armenia?

Bet on Rajasthan today but looks like they are going to lose the game as they already lost 3 wickets in first 4 overs. Getting run out at this stage was a foolish move. Now it's all left to Samson to build a partnership.

All the three batsmen threw away their wicket. This was a game which they could have won easily. A very low total set by SRH, and the target was below 160. First it was Stokes who threw away his wicket and after that an unnecessary run out by Steve Smith. The RR batsmen just wasted the hard work put in by their bowlers. Feels bad for Archer, Tyagi and Unadkat.
3277  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela Planning New 100,000-Bolivar Bills Worth Just $0.23 on: October 10, 2020, 06:55:21 AM
Anyone remember this?

The Venezuelan Bolivar will end up like Zimbabwe Dollar. Hardly anyone store their money as Bolivar in Venezuela. In most cases, US Dollar and gold is being used for this purpose. And I heard that Bitcoin usage is also going up there. Venezuela is a perfect example of how socialism can destroy a nation. And the joke is that we still have a lot of people who would still vote for Socialist politicians.
3278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 10, 2020, 05:53:10 AM
KXIP desperately needs to win while CSK still has plenty of chances to make it to the playoffs stage. I bet on KKR and CSK to win their respective matches tomorrow.

I think now KXIP needs to think seriously about including Chris Gayle in the playing XI. The reason why they haven't included him till now is that they don't want to disrupt the opening pair of KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal. But they need Gayle now (probably in place of Maxwell). And on top of that I think they should also include Karun Nair. Players such as Prabhsimran Singh and Mandeep Singh have failed to impress.
3279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 09, 2020, 06:31:01 AM
I could not agree with you because the Indian team still has world class bowlers.  Some bowlers have been injured after playing cricket for some time and this is the reason why there is a shortage of bowlers in the Indian team from time to time.  Do you think Zaheer Khan is not a world class bowler?  Irfan Pathan was not a world class bowler?  Harbhajan Singh Anil Kumble Aren't they world class bowlers?  And now Jaspreet Bhomra, Bhubaneswar Kumar, they are definitely world class players.  With Jubendra Chahal Kuldeep Yadav they are there.

Having one world class bowler, and having multiple world class bowlers is different. For sure Zaheer was of international class. But most of the time, he was supported by mediocre bowlers such as Tinu Yohannan, Ashish Nehra and Vikram Singh. Irfan Pathan was not exactly a world class bowler. He was good, but played only a few dozen test matches. So Zaheer had to take the sole responsibility of pace bowling, most of the times. The situation has changed now.
3280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 09, 2020, 06:08:28 AM
You have discussed a good topic.  I totally agree with your opinion.  The game should never be stopped.  ODI cricket should be kept on at least. And if that is not possible then at least T20 cricket should be kept on. We see that there is not a match when the World Cup is over.  I think bilateral or trilateral matches are good for cricket.

Many of the cricket boards are in difficult financial situation. So they may prioritize the franchise cricket leagues over international cricket. For example, the BCCI receives most of its revenue from the IPL (which lasts for just 1.5 months). The same can be said about Cricket Australia (BBL) and the WICB (CPL). Even when international tours are being organized, test matches will receive the lowest priority.
